Jordan beckoned him in and told him to shut the door. After Allen sat down, Jordan sighed. He said, "Allen, I do not know what to make of this that's coming down from New York. Somehow you and your family have disrespected a friend of the President?" Allen sighed and relayed what happened the day before to Jordan. Jordan looked down at his notes. He continued, "That is not what they are saying, but in situations, it is always he said/she said type of situation, however, this is coming down from the President's office. Therefore, they are demanding that we act against you and Victor…."

Allen said, "May I say something sir?"

Jordan inclined his head. He said, "Can you point out to Mr. President who my cousin is, and he is Earl of Avon and Kilmuir in England, along with who he defeated back in 1998? Then there is the fact that my own father, Victor Murphy is also an Earl."

Jordan paled. He knew what this meant. This could become an international incident if something major were to happen. He picked up his phone and dialed a certain extension. "Yes, I need to be put through to…Of course I know he is busy, but this is a matter that needs to be addressed…. Yes, we all would love to be with our family right now, but I am having to be at the office due to Mr. President's request…. I will hold." He turned to Allen, "Apparently, I was to take care of the issue and not bother the president about it…. Yes, I am still here, Mr. President. I wanted to bring your attention to something that was brought to mine just now by Mr. Allen Murphy when I asked him to come to my office. You see sir…. Well, this is a matter of international matters sir. You see the girl in question is the daughter of the Lord Harry James Potter, Earl of Avon and Kilmuir in England, and the great-niece of Lord Victor Murphy, Earl of Ravensworth…. Yes, Mr. Murphy also works for us here in Houston, but he is away in England dealing with his family estate…I sir. Of course, I will let him know. Thank you, sir." After Jordan hung up, he turned to Allen and said, "Apparently, on Monday when your father returns, we are to hold a video conference with the President, and you can tell your side of things and we can see how to manage this without causing an international incident."

Allen sighed. His father was due back on Monday. He said, "Thank you, sir. If I may be so bold as to say, I do not think Mr. Ruttle senior is aware of the family's standing in the international community. I know he knows who Lily's father is as how he is famous, but he does not flaunt his lordship about like many others do in Great Britain."

Jordan said, "I understand that. You may return home, Allen. I will see you on Monday."

Allen said, "Thank you sir."

Allen returned home to Lily reading in the library and everyone else missing. He said, "Where is everyone?"

Lily said, "Catherine and Victoria are out on the ranch, Renee, Emily, and Julia took Wanda and Irene with Victoria's permission to the Astro Mall. Henry is in his room unpacking. He arrived about five minutes before you got home."

Allen said, "How do you remember all that?"

Lily shrugged her shoulders and said, "I do not know, honestly. I can just remember certain things where everyone is sometimes."

Allen smiled. He sat down across from Lily and said, "I am glad that I have you alone for a few minutes. I wanted to talk to you about what happened at work."

Lily winced. She hoped Allen was not in too much trouble because of her.

Allen continued, "I was called into my boss' office and was due to be reprimanded, not sure how bad it was, but I'm sure it was possible demotion." Lily paled. "However, before my boss could even mention what was coming down the pipe from headquarters, I mentioned your father and my father's lordships along with Harry's reputation in England. Everything was put on hold until after the holiday weekend."

Lily sighed in relief a bit. She had been afraid that her actions the day before would lead to the Murphy's losing their jobs.

The rest of the weekend passed quickly. On Sunday at 10 am, the Murphy family and Lily took the floo to Boston and then caught a taxi to the train terminal. They bid the elder Murphy's good-bye and stepped onto the train. Henry went in search of his friends along with Irene leaving Julia, Renee, and Lily to find their own group of friends.

After a few minutes, they found Timothy and Deidra in a compartment. Deidra huffed and looked away while Timothy smiled and asked them how their break was.

Lily said, "It was going good until I got grounded."

Timothy said, "Saint Lily get grounded? Oh, that is a funny one!"

Renee said, "She was really grounded."

Deidra said, "I highly doubt it."

Lily then realized that she forgot to email Deidra and let her know that she was not allowed to come over due to being grounded. Right before the train was to leave, Brandy joined them.

Three hours later, they arrived at the school, and went to their respective dormitories to unpack. Audrey was already in their room and unpacking in her respective bedroom. After unpacking, Lily sat down at her desk and looked over her planner to make sure she had all her homework done, which she did.

Stepping out into the commons area of their dorm room, Lily walked across the area and knocked on Audrey's door. Audrey opened it and smiled.

Lily said, "How was your break?"

Audrey said, "It was nice. Mom took me shopping and I got several gifts for family and friends. How about you? Did you have a good break?"
Lily shook her head and proceeded to tell Audrey what had happened at the dinner with the Ruttle family. Audrey said, "I do not blame you for losing your temper. I just hope nothing bad comes of it for your family."

The next day classes started back, and everyone fell back into a routine. There was talk of the upcoming Christmas holidays and the dance. Lily could not wait for the dance. She had gotten her dress in November when they went to the village for a visit.

That evening, Lily opened her computer and saw that she had an email from her cousin, Allen. Lily opened it up. She had subconsciously been worried about what was going to happen with Allen and Victor's careers over the happenings at Thanksgiving dinner. She thought that there really should not be anything that should come of it as personal lives and professional ones should be kept separate from each other. It was something her father had instilled in her.

Lily read that there were no repercussions and that her father during the video conference call reminded the president what Lily was just thinking. Lily sighed in relief. Just then, Lily heard her phone ring. She went over to her nightstand where her phone was plugged in charging and saw that it was Oliver.

Lily answered, "Hey Oliver."

Oliver was nervous. Lily could tell by the sound of his voice. He said, "Hey Lily. Can you meet me down in the tunnels? I need to talk to you."

Lily said, "Sure."

Lily grabbed her jacket because despite the tunnels being underground, they could still get a bit chilly during freezing weather. Lily wondered what Oliver wanted to speak to her about. Was he going to ask her to the Christmas dance?

Down in the tunnels, Lily found Oliver pacing. She ran up to him and hugged him. Oliver reluctantly returned the hug. Lily noticed the hesitation in the return hug and said, "What did you want to talk to me about Oliver?"

Oliver said, "Lily, I don't think we should see each other anymore."

Lily paled. She really like Oliver. He was so sweet. She asked, "What have I done?"

Oliver said, "Its not you, Lily. I have just got a lot of pressure coming from home along with my father thinks that it was a bad idea to let me study magic."

Lily lowered her head.

Oliver said, "I am sorry, Lily. I really like you."

Lily nodded, turned back towards the girls' dormitories, and ran back all the way to her room with tears in her eyes.
