In the meantime, after the tennis match, Allen and Victor were discussing the news of what Mrs. Allen had told them about the situation with Lily and Thomas Branton. Mrs. Allen had contacted them instead of Harry as they were listed as her guardians in America.

"I'm not really satisfied with his punishment, however, due to the laws that MACUSA has passed, we can't do anything."

Allen said, "I understand, father. I am just as frustrated as you are. If he is willing to do this now, what is to stop him from going further with Lily or another."

Just then, Victor's office phone rang. Victor looked at the caller's ID and saw that it was Mr. Branton, Thomas' father.

Victor held up his hand and answered it, "Hello, Mr. Branton."

Mr. Branton said, "Enough with the pleasantries, Victor. I know how much power you wield across the pond. I do not want any trouble from this for my family. What can we do to make things right?"

Victor leaned back in his chair. He said, "Make things right? Hmm. Have Thomas tested for potions and other substances that could be affecting his behavior? We recently found that some members of our own family have been dosed with mind altering potions."

Victor could have sworn that he had heard Mr. Branton growl over the phone. Mr. Branton said, "It will be done. If my son has been dosed, heads will roll. I will let you know the results."

After getting off the phone with Mr. Branton, Victor turned to Allen and said, "That was interesting."

Allen nodded. Mr. Branton hadn't known it but he had been on speaker phone. Allen had stayed silent during the conversation to hear what Mr. Branton had to say. Allen said, "Remember though, the Branton's are famous for their wands. Then their daughter, Brenda was Lily's roommate in her first year. She married Victor Thompson if I remember correctly."

Victor leaned back in his chair.

Back at Ilvermorny, Stephanie pulled Lily into the changing rooms and told her to sit down. Lily looked down. She knew she had screwed up. She had lost it. Everytime the ball came at her, she pictured Thomas' smile, and the eyes that just seemed to undress her.

Stephanie said, "What the hell was that? You hardly let me touch the ball."

Lily said, "I just kept seeing his face on the ball. I just wanted to...Oh…I don't know."

And Lily broke down crying. Stephanie's anger dropped. She had forgotten what Lily had gone through upon their return to school from spring break. Plus there were rumors going around that certain members of the Murphy family had been dosed with potions. Stephanie said, "Lily, have you thought about talking with someone about what happened?"

Lily shook her head.

Stephanie said, "Maybe you should? It'll help get you past the trauma of it."

Lily said, "I'll think about it."

Lily quickly showered after her match, and then went in search of her friends. Julia, Qiana, and Audrey were waiting for her just outside the locker room. Julia said, "Quite a match."

Lily smiled. They walked up to the school together, and ate dinner. The rest of their friends were close behind. After dinner, Lily excused herself and went to Mrs. Evans office in the dorm room. She knocked and waited.

"Enter!"

Lily took a deep breath and opened the door. Mrs. Evans was peering at some papers that seemed to have recently arrived. When she looked up, she said, "Ms. Potter, this is a nice surprise. Please close the door behind you and I'll be with you as soon as I read this report."

Lily did as she was told and sat down in one of the chairs on the opposite side of Mrs. Evans. A few minutes later, Mrs. Evans sat the folder aside and took off her glasses. She looked at Lily. Mrs. Evans could tell she was nervous about something, but wasn't sure what.

Mrs. Evans said, "What can I do for you, Ms. Potter?"

Lily said, "I was wondering if I could arrange a mind healer to deal with the issue of what happened between Mr. Branton and myself."

Mrs. Evans leaned back. She said, "That can be arranged. We have a counselor on staff."

Lily said, "The school does?"

Mrs. Evans said, "Yes. It was established after what happened to young Yolanda Sampson. I will look at your schedule and speak with the counselor on staff to see if she can work with your schedule."

Lily said, "I thank you Mrs. Evans. I do have one question. Will my family find out that I'm speaking with them?"

Mrs. Evans said, "No. Unless something is said that makes them feel that you are a danger to yourself, your family, or the students/staff of this school."

Lily sighed in relief.

Up in her room, Lily took out her homework planner and looked it over. She had been pretty good about staying on top of things since she dropped the one class, but she wanted to make sure she had everything done so far.
