Chapter 2: the black cat miraculous holder

Musutafu Streets Tatooin Shopping District- Afternoon

Without any time, Jake moved in a red and black blur. He threw his yo-yo swiftly to reach Midoriya. The sludge villain raised his fist in the air to strike down the quirkless boy. Midoriya fell to the ground and saw an incoming arm, bracing for an attack that never came. But Jake grabbed Midoriya with his yo-yo and pulled him away from the villain's attack, then rushed over to Bakugo, pulling him out of the sludge villain's body at an incredible speed that no one reacted to or saw.

"What the?!" the villain exclaimed in confusion as his fist hit the ground. "Where did he go?!" Then he noticed his human shield was gone too. "And where did that explosion kid go?!"

He wasn't the only one; the heroes and civilians were wondering something. All Might then stopped himself from changing into his muscle form, as he was just as confused about what happened to Bakugo and Midoriya.

"Where are those two boys?!" Death Arm said in confusion.

"Did someone save them in time?" Kamui Woods asked.

"Or maybe they moved out of the way," Backdraft suggested.

"Hey, look!" Mount Lady pointed, drawing everyone's attention to where she was pointing.

They saw Jake holding both Midoriya and Bakugo tightly by their arms as they lay on the ground.

"Who's that guy?" Mount Lady said in surprise.

"He just saved that green-haired and blonde kid!" Death Arms observed.

"But how? I didn't even see it happen. Is he a new hero or something?" Kamui Woods said in confusion.

"Hey, Jake, did you just see that?" Fang said in surprise until he didn't see Jake anywhere.

"Oh, great! Not another wannabe hero to deal with!" the sludge villain said in annoyance.

Midoriya then opened his eyes and looked at Jake in surprise. Bakugo just had a confused look on his face, not knowing what just happened to him.

"W-W-Who are you?!" Midoriya asked.

"Stay here, I'll handle the rest," Beetle said, getting up, spinning his yo-yo, and walking towards the villain.

"Stop, kid! It's dangerous to approach that villain!" Kamui Woods said, but Jake ignored him.

"That's just a kid," one person said.

"No way, it can't be," another person said.

The villain glared at the teenager as the boy stopped a few feet away from him. The crowd was taken aback as the cameras focused on the unknown teenager who intervened at a time when the heroes couldn't. He had just come out of nowhere, which even baffled the crowd and the heroes.

"You get one chance, slimeball," Jake said, pointing at the villain. "Give up now and turn yourself in, or suffer the consequences."

"You damn fool! You think I'll give up so easily!" the sludge villain yelled before crackling. "You know what, your quirk is even better than that other kid's! With speed like that, no one will be able to catch me! I shall take it for myself!" He declared.

"I'd like to see you try," Jake accepted the challenge.

The crowd gasped, and the heroes were shocked.

"Is that kid insane?!" Death Arms cried out loud.

"We have to stop him!" Kamui Woods said.

"Fine then, I didn't say I didn't warn you," Beetle said as he ran towards the sludge villain with his yo-yo spinning faster and faster.

The sludge villain snapped out of his shock and glared at Jake. "Is that supposed to scare me or something?! As if I'll be intimidated by some brat-playing hero!" He shouted, making two tentacle sludge arms and sending them towards Jake. "NOW DIE!"

Beetle jumped over one tentacle, then he used his yo-yo to block the other one as he spun it.

As the yo-yo deflected the tentacle, Beetle swiftly twisted his body, evading the villain's attack. With precision and agility, he maneuvered around the sludge villain, constantly keeping him on his toes.

"Pathetic!" the sludge villain roared, frustration evident in his voice as Beetle effortlessly dodged his assaults.

With each move, Beetle calculated his next action, exploiting every opening in the villain's defenses. His yo-yo became an extension of his will, striking with accuracy and force whenever an opportunity presented itself.

The crowd watched in awe as Beetle faced off against the formidable foe, his determination shining through despite the odds stacked against him. Amidst the chaos, a new hero had emerged, proving that bravery knows no bounds, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.

The sludge villain attacks Beetle with three more tentacles which he tries to hit Beetle with. Only for him to block it with his weapon, as he was knocked back slightly by the villain.

"Gah! I need to get his guard down!" Beetle said, rolling to the side, avoiding another attack.

He rushed at the sludge villain again, cutting up more of his body parts as he got closer.

"Don't think I'll let you get close to me again!" The villain said, moving out of the way of Beetle's attack.

"Dammit, he almost had him!" Mount Lady said in frustration, watching the fight between the villain and teenager.

"You wanted to be able to hit me if I kept my distance from your weapon," the villain said in a cocky tone, making his body grow more tentacles while attacking Beetle.

"That's what you think, ugly," Beetle said, cutting another tentacle before jumping back. "Because I'm ending this now! Lucky Charm!" He threw his yo-yo into the air, and as it spun, a makeshift shield was created from it.

"Is that some kind of support item?" Midoriya whispered as he continued to watch the battle.

"Lucky Charm?" Toshinori repeated what Beetle said, wondering what this lucky charm does.

Bakugo stayed silent, watching everything unfold.

"How does he keep getting those powers?" Kamui Woods asked.

"Hmph. That doesn't scare me," the sludge villain remarked, unimpressed.

"What is that a shield? Really?" the sludge villain said, laughing.

Beetle tightened his grip on the yo-yo, determination flickering in his eyes. "It's called Lucky Charm, and it's going to be your downfall," he retorted confidently.

The makeshift shield began to glow with a faint, golden light, emanating an aura of protection. Beetle dashed forward with newfound resolve, his every movement purposeful and calculated.

As he closed the distance between himself and the sludge villain, Beetle swung the Lucky Charm shield with all his might, aiming for the villain's center mass.

The sludge villain's laughter abruptly ceased as the shield made contact, sending shockwaves rippling through his form. He staggered backward, momentarily stunned by the unexpected force of the blow.

The crowd erupted into cheers as they witnessed Beetle's heroic feat. Even the seasoned heroes looked on with admiration, recognizing the potential of this newfound ally.

"You've underestimated me, but now it's time to face the consequences," Beetle declared, his voice unwavering as he prepared to deliver the final blow.

"No, stop!" Death Arms shouted.

"Is that kid trying to kill himself?!" Mount Lady exclaimed.

"You fool!" Kamui said in worry.

The sludge villain just smiled, thinking he had already won. "YOU'RE MINE!" He said, throwing multiple sludge tentacles at the boy in mid-air.

The tentacles hit Beetle dead on as sparks flew off his shield, but he power-threw the villain's attack and continued his assault on the sludge villain.

"What?!" The sludge villain said in surprise.

"Take this!" Beetle shouted, hitting the villain's body with his fist.

"EEHHH!" The sludge villain cried in pain as Beetle's attack caused a small red shockwave that pulled everything in the area back slightly.

The crowd and heroes braced themselves from the shockwave, holding their hands over their faces from the burst of wind pressure.

Beetle used the shockwave to push himself back with a backflip as he landed back on the ground. The attack managed to do major damage to the sludge villain, as he looked like he was reaching his limit. Beetle knew it was the perfect time to finish him off.

"Time to finish this!" He pulled out his shield. "Ready, .?" Beetle said as he ran towards his target, ready to strike at the villain.

"You wouldn't dare?" The sludge villain growled in pain.

"Take this!" Beetle shouted, sending his shield at the sludge villain, dealing even more damage to him.

Beetle turned around with his back facing the villain, then skillfully twirled his shield in his right hand before putting it back behind himself.

"NOOOOO! NOT AGAIN!" The sludge villain screamed in pain as electricity flowed through his sludge body, then exploded with his body parts flying all over the alleyway.

The crowd, pro heroes, All Might, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Fang were staring at the scene with shocked looks on their faces.

"Okay, time to fix everything, Miraculous Beetle!" He yelled as he threw his shield up in the air, and it turned into red lights, shooting out and returning everything back to normal.

As the red lights shot out from Beetle's shield, a wave of energy swept through the area, restoring order and undoing the chaos caused by the sludge villain's rampage. The debris scattered across the alleyway began to dissipate, and the injured civilians started to regain consciousness.

The crowd erupted into cheers, applauding Beetle for his heroic actions. Pro heroes and bystanders alike looked on in awe, grateful for his intervention in averting disaster.

"Wow, he really did it!" Midoriya exclaimed, eyes wide with admiration.

"Yeah, that was amazing," Bakugo grumbled begrudgingly, though a hint of respect shone through in his expression.

All Might approached Beetle with a warm smile, his eyes shining with pride. "Well done, young man. You've proven yourself to be a true hero today," he praised.

Beetle grinned proudly, feeling a surge of accomplishment wash over him. "Thanks, All Might. I couldn't have done it without the support of everyone here," he replied humbly.

Fang stepped forward, offering a congratulatory pat on the back. "You really showed us what you're made of, Beetle. Consider me impressed," he said with a grin.

"Yeah, um, thank you," Beetle said nervously.

In a matter of minutes, the police arrived to pick up the captured sludge villain and took him away. Some of the pros were interviewed by the media.

"Man, you're a tough kid! And that quirk is something else!" A hero complimented him. "When you wanna go pro, head over to my agency first! I'd love for you to be my sidekick while you're training!"

Bakugo simply ignored what the pros were saying and gave Beetle a scornful look.

While Bakugo was being praised for his bravery, Beetle was being scolded by Death Arms and Kamui Woods for his actions.

"You moron! Do you have a death wish or something?!" Kamui Woods scolded the boy.

Death Arms quickly joined in. "There was absolutely no reason for you to put yourself in danger like that," he said sternly.

"You," Death Arms turned his attention to Beetle. "You may have done a good job saving the hostage and defeating that villain with your fancy quirk, but you should have left it to the professionals."

"Exactly," Kamui Woods nodded in agreement. "What you did was very brave, however, you shouldn't have intervened like that. It was really dangerous for a boy to do the job of a pro hero. You could've gotten hurt or worse, killed," he said, sounding deadly serious with a frown on his face.

Beetle shifted uncomfortably under the weight of their scolding, feeling a pang of guilt for his impulsive actions. He hadn't meant to cause concern or put himself in harm's way, but his instincts had driven him to act without thinking of the consequences.

"I-I'm sorry," Beetle stammered, his voice tinged with remorse. "I just couldn't stand by and watch someone in danger without doing anything. I wanted to help, even if it meant taking a risk."

Kamui Woods and Death Arms exchanged a glance, their expressions softening slightly as they realized Beetle's sincerity. While they still harbored concerns for his safety, they couldn't deny the bravery and selflessness he had displayed in the face of danger.

"I understand that you were trying to do the right thing," Kamui Woods said, his tone gentler now. "But next time, please think before rushing into danger. We're here to protect civilians, including you."

Death Arms nodded in agreement. "Indeed. Your heart is in the right place, but we can't have civilians putting themselves at risk. Leave the hero work to us, okay?"

Beetle nodded solemnly, accepting their words of advice. He knew he had a lot to learn about being a hero, and he vowed to approach future situations with more caution and foresight.

"Thank you for the guidance," Beetle said gratefully. "I'll do better next time."

"But there's one more thing, who are you, a pro hero or something?" Death Arms asked.

"Yeah, do you even have a hero license?" Kamui Woods asked.

"Umm," Beetle said before his earrings started to blink.

"Sorry, but I've got to go," Beetle said as he took out his yo-yo and swung away from them.

As Beetle swung away, Death Arms and Kamui Woods exchanged puzzled glances, wondering about the mysterious hero's identity and motives.

"Who was that kid, anyway?" Kamui Woods mused aloud.

"I'm not sure, but he certainly has some impressive skills," Death Arms replied, watching Beetle disappear into the distance.

Meanwhile, Beetle soared through the city streets, the wind rushing past him as he navigated through the urban landscape. Thoughts raced through his mind as he reflected on the events of the day.

Despite the scolding he received from the pro heroes, Beetle couldn't shake the feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment that came from helping others. He knew that being a hero was his calling, even if it meant facing challenges and criticism along the way.

As he swung from building to building, Beetle made a silent vow to continue honing his skills and proving himself as a hero worthy of admiration. With each daring rescue and courageous act, he would strive to make a difference in the world and inspire hope in those who needed it most.

Musutafu Streets back alleyway- Evening

Back in the alleyway, not too far from the battlefield, Beetle swings in and transforms back into Jake.

"Oh my God, I can't believe I actually fought a villain and won, even without a quirk," Jake said, breathless from the adrenaline rush.

"I told you you could do it," Kwasi said, smiling at his partner.

"Yeah, I know, I know, but I can't believe I did that in front of the pro heroes, in front of everyone, and my brother saw it. Wait, oh crap, Fang's probably wondering where I am. He's probably worried about me," Jake said, suddenly realizing the implications of his actions.

"You know you have to keep this a secret. Nobody's supposed to know. If you tell somebody your secret identity or anything, that means you have to give up your Miraculous," Kwasi reminded Jake sternly.

"What? You didn't tell me that," Jake exclaimed, surprise evident in his voice.

"Yeah, that's my bad. I probably should have told you that before," Kwasi admitted sheepishly.

"So, let me come up with the line why i left him back there," Jake said, determined to find a solution.

"Yup," Kwasi said as he flew back inside his pocket, ready to assist Jake in figuring out a believable explanation for his sudden disappearance.

Jake's mind raced as he tried to come up with a plausible explanation for why he had left the scene so abruptly. He knew he couldn't reveal the truth about his secret identity as Beetle, but he also didn't want to lie to his brother.

After a moment of deep thought, Jake turned to Kwasi, his expression serious. "Okay, how about this: I left because I saw someone in need of help and had to rush to their aid. It was a split-second decision, and I didn't have time to explain."

Kwasi nodded in agreement. "That could work. It shows that you're committed to helping others, which is true enough."

Feeling a sense of relief wash over him, Jake nodded. "Yeah, I think that's the best way to handle it. Thanks, Kwasi."

With their cover story in place, Jake felt a weight lifted off his shoulders. He knew it wasn't ideal to keep secrets from his brother, but he also understood the importance of protecting his identity as Beetle.

As they made their way back home, Jake couldn't help but feel grateful for Kwasi's support and understanding. With his partner by his side, he knew he could navigate the challenges of being a hero while keeping his identity safe.

Musutafu Streets - Evening

The sky glowed with hues of bright orange as the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the bustling streets. Midoriya walked homeward, his mind consumed by thoughts of the heroic encounter and the subsequent scolding from Death Arms and Kamui Woods.

"I was just trying to help. I just didn't want Kaachan to die... jumping me at the time. Anyway, I was almost about to die until that beetle guy showed up and saved me and him. I probably should thank him. I wonder what his quirk is," Midoriya muttered to himself, lost in thought.

Suddenly, Bakugo appeared behind him, his voice dripping with anger. "Deku!" he barked.

"Kacchan?" Midoriya said, surprised to see him.

"Listen up. I would never ask for a weakling like you to help me or that polka dot spandex freak. Don't think you both can look down on me. Got that? I was fine by myself. You're just a Quirkless failure who won't even cut it as a rent-a-cop. You didn't help me. You did nothing. Don't forget it. I don't owe you anything," Bakugo declared before turning and walking away.

"What was that?" Midoriya muttered to himself, feeling a mixture of confusion and hurt.

"Kacchan is right, though. It's not like I actually did anything to help today. But... at least I tried. Guess now I should get back to giving up on my dreams," he sighed, his shoulders slumping with defeat as he continued his journey home

As he walked along the sidewalk, he heard groaning and spotted an old man in a red shirt who had fallen in the middle of the street. Without any hesitation , he decided to go help the man.

"Are you alright, sir?" Midoriya asked, approaching the fallen man and extending a hand to help him up from the street.

"Thank you, young man. That was very kind of you," the old man said, patting Midoriya on the back.

"What is your name, young man?" the old man inquired.

"Oh, my name is Izuku Midoriya, sir," he replied respectfully.

"It was no trouble at all, sir. It's what a hero does," Midoriya said, a hint of sadness in his voice.

"What's wrong, young man?" the old man asked, noticing the change in Midoriya's demeanor.

Midoriya hesitated for a moment before responding, his thoughts drifting back to the encounter with Bakugo and his own doubts about his abilities.

"It's just... sometimes it feels like no matter how hard I try, I'm still not good enough," Midoriya admitted, his voice tinged with frustration. "I want to be a hero more than anything, but it's like I'm constantly hitting a wall."

The old man listened attentively, his expression filled with empathy. "I understand, young Midoriya. The path of a hero is never easy, and doubt is a natural part of the journey. But remember, true strength comes from perseverance and determination. As long as you never give up on your dreams, you'll find a way to overcome any obstacle."

Midoriya nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope ignite within him. "Thank you, sir. I needed to hear that."

The old man smiled kindly. "No need to thank me, young hero. Just remember to keep striving for greatness, and you'll achieve it in due time."

"Thank you, sir," Midoriya said gratefully before heading back home. However, before he could leave, the old man handed him a black box with Chinese symbols on it.

"What is this?" Midoriya asked, curious about the mysterious box.

The old man chuckled softly. "You'll find out when the time is right, young Midoriya," he replied cryptically. "Let's just say it's something miraculous."

Midoriya's eyes widened with surprise at the enigmatic response. "Miraculous?" he echoed, his mind racing with possibilities.

The old man simply smiled and nodded before turning to walk away, leaving Midoriya standing there, the black box clutched in his hands, filled with anticipation and intrigue.

Midoriya Residence - Night

As the sun finally set, casting the neighborhood into darkness, Midoriya made his way home. Streetlights illuminated his path as he rounded the corner to his apartment complex and climbed the stairs to his living quarters.

"Today was a weird day," Midoriya muttered to himself as he stood in front of his apartment door.

With a sigh, he pushed the door open and stepped inside, closing it behind him.

"I'm back, Mom!" Midoriya called out, announcing his return.

"Izuku, my baby boy, you're okay!" Inko's voice echoed from another room, filled with relief. She dashed towards her son, pulling him into a tight embrace as tears streamed down her face.

"Mom... can't... breathe..." Midoriya managed to gasp out, struggling under his mother's tight grip.

"Oh, son, I'm so proud of you! But I was so worried!" Inko exclaimed, her tears still flowing as she held onto him.

Despite her relief, Inko's worry soon turned to anger as she realized the danger her son had faced by watching the incident unfold on live TV.

"Mom, I am okay, I swear. Also, you're breaking my ribs here," Midoriya joked weakly, trying to lighten the mood.

Inko's expression softened, but her concern remained evident as she looked into her son's eyes. "Please promise me that you will never do something like that ever again. You're all I have, Izuku, and I can't bear the thought of losing you," she pleaded.

"I know, Mom, and you won't have to worry about that ever again. I promise," Midoriya reassured her with a trademark smile.

"What do you mean by that?" Inko asked, her curiosity piqued.

"It's nothing, Mom. I'm just going to go to my room. It's late. Love you," Midoriya said as he made his way to his room.

"Love you too, sweetie," Inko replied, her voice filled with love as she headed to her own room, her worries somewhat alleviated but still lingering in the back of her mind.

Midoriya bedroom - Night

In Midoriya's bedroom at night, he settled into a chair at his desk, clutching the mysterious black box in his hands. Taking a moment to survey his surroundings, he couldn't help but appreciate the cozy and lived-in atmosphere of his room.

The walls were adorned with posters featuring various heroes and inspirational quotes, reflecting Midoriya's deep admiration for the heroic figures he aspired to emulate. A small desk nestled in one corner was cluttered with textbooks, notebooks, and sketches, evidence of Midoriya's diligent studying and creative pursuits.

Opposite the desk, a neatly made bed with green sheets and a plush All Might pillow beckoned invitingly, promising a comfortable retreat after a long day of heroics. Alongside the bed, a bookshelf boasted a diverse collection of novels, manga, and hero biographies, showcasing Midoriya's eclectic taste in literature and his passion for hero culture.

Above the desk, a corkboard displayed an array of photos capturing moments with friends and family, along with newspaper clippings documenting Midoriya's good deeds and heroic exploits. A few potted plants dotted the room, infusing it with a sense of serenity amidst the bustling city outside.

Overall, Midoriya's room served as a reflection of his personality: warm, welcoming, and filled with reminders of his dreams and aspirations to become the greatest hero the world had ever seen.

Midoriya kept staring at the black box, a mixture of curiosity and worry swirling in his mind.

"I'm going to open it," Midoriya declared, reaching out his hand toward the box. But as his fingers hovered over the lid, he hesitated.

"What if it's a bomb?" Midoriya muttered, his mind racing with worst-case scenarios. "Why would the old man send me a bomb?"

Shaking off his doubts, Midoriya took a deep breath and reassured himself. "No, Izuku, be a man. Open the box. You've got this. You can prove to everyone that you're not just a useless Deku."

With newfound determination, Midoriya lifted the lid of the box. A bright green light burst forth, momentarily blinding him. As the light subsided, Midoriya's eyes widened in surprise as he beheld a small black cat-like creature floating in the air before him.

"AAAAHH! What are you?" Midoriya exclaimed as he hurled his hero notebooks at the creature, but it skillfully dodged them all.

"Hey, kid, calm down, calm down. It's okay," the creature reassured, its voice soothing but unfamiliar, causing Midoriya to stumble backward and fall off his bed.

"Ow, that hurt," Midoriya grumbled as he picked himself up from the floor.

"Izuku, honey, are you okay? What was that screaming?" Inko rushed into his room, concern etched on her face.

The cat-like creature quickly hid next to the All Might-themed pillow, blending in as if it were just another plush toy.

"It's nothing, Mom, just a... uh... spider," Midoriya replied, trying to come up with a plausible explanation for the commotion.

"A spider?" Inko raised an eyebrow skeptically, glancing around the room. "I don't see any spiders."

"Yeah, it must have run off," Midoriya said hastily, gesturing vaguely towards the window. "Sorry for the noise, Mom."

Inko eyed him suspiciously for a moment before sighing. "Alright, just be careful, Izuku. And try to keep it down," she said with a weary smile, before leaving the room.

Once they were alone again, Midoriya turned to the mysterious creature, his curiosity piqued despite his initial shock.

"What... what are you?" he asked cautiously, approaching the creature with a mix of trepidation and fascination.

"I'm a kwami named Ravage. You, kid, are in for a world of adventure," the creature introduced itself.

"What's a kwami?" Midoriya asked, his curiosity piqued as a notebook and pen appeared from thin air.

"Where did you get that pen and paper from?" Ravage asked, confused by the boy's antics.

Midoriya shrugged, his excitement growing as he eagerly scribbled notes in his notebook.

"I don't know, it just appeared," he said, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "But seriously, what's a kwami? And what kind of adventure are you talking about?"

Ravage chuckled softly, floating closer to Midoriya as he explained, "Kwamis are magical creatures that bond with chosen individuals, granting them incredible powers and abilities. As for the adventure, well, let's just say it involves heroes, villains, and a lot of excitement."

"What do you mean... but why me? I'm nothing special. I'm just a Quirkless kid. Maybe Kacchan was right. I'm just a Quirkless, useless Deku. I can't be a hero. You should pick somebody else," Midoriya said, his expression pained as he wrestled with his insecurities.

Ravage floated closer to Midoriya, a compassionate look in his eyes. "I understand your doubts, but trust me, Izuku. You are more special than you realize. Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and true heroism isn't about the power of your Quirk, but the strength of your heart."

Midoriya blinked, touched by Ravage's words. "But how can I be a hero without a Quirk?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

Ravage smiled reassuringly. "You may not have a Quirk, but you possess something even more valuable: determination, courage, and a strong sense of justice. Those qualities make you worthy of being a hero, Izuku."

Midoriya's eyes shimmered with newfound hope as he listened to Ravage's encouraging words. Maybe, just maybe, he could become a hero after all.

"Midoriya, I believe that you can be a hero," Ravage said softly, his voice filled with conviction.

Tears welled up in Midoriya's eyes as he heard those words, a surge of emotions overwhelming him. For the longest time, he had yearned to hear someone believe in him, to acknowledge his potential despite his lack of a Quirk. Now, with Ravage's unwavering belief in him, Midoriya felt a sense of validation and purpose wash over him.

Unable to contain his emotions any longer, Midoriya cried tears of joy, his heart overflowing with gratitude and newfound determination. In that moment, he knew that no matter the challenges ahead, he would strive to become the hero he had always dreamed of being, with Ravage by his side as his faithful companion.

Tartarus Prison - Night

It was late at night in Tartarus prison, and the cops were in the process of locking up the sludge villain. They contained him in a bottle secured with a lock and key, which was then fastened tightly to metal straps. His prison cell was encased in metal and locked up tight to prevent any chance of escape.

"You're not going anywhere," one cop asserted firmly.

"Good thing that pro hero showed up," remarked another cop.

"Have you heard the news? That wasn't any pro hero; it was some kid in spandex," the cop added, surprising his colleagues.

"What do you mean a kid took down a villain?" another cop asked incredulously.

"Yeah, it's all over the news," confirmed another officer.

Meanwhile, inside the prison cell, the Sludge Villain seethed with irritation. All he had heard was that he had been defeated by Beetle.

"Polka dot freak! I wasn't defeated! I was caught off guard. When I get out of here, I'm going to smash that kid like the bug he is!" the Sludge Villain declared angrily.

Unknown Location - Night

In an undisclosed location, a window slid open, and a swarm of white butterflies fluttered around. At the center of it all stood Hawkmoth, his expression dark and determined.

"Getting humiliated by a child, laughed at by every villain... this is a perfect lure for my akuma," Hawkmoth muttered with a sinister grin, plucking a butterfly from the air and transforming it into an Akuma. "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize this villain," he commanded, releasing the Akuma as it soared out the window into the night.

Tartarus Prison - Night

Inside the prison, the cops patrolled the halls, ensuring that every prisoner was secure and locked up. Unbeknownst to them, an Akuma flew past, slipping through the cracks until it reached its destination: the Sledge Villain's prison cell. The Akuma entered the bottle containing the villain.

"Grim Sludge, I am Hawk Moth. I'm granting you the power to seek your revenge on the heroes and show them that you're not a villain to be taken lightly. In return, I need the Miraculous of the Ladybug and the Black Cat. Do we have a deal?" Hawk Moth's voice echoed in the cell as the Akuma began its transformation.

"You have a deal, Hawk Moth," Grim Sludge replied, an evil grin spreading across his face as he accepted the offer.

As the transformation took hold, the Sledge Villain's form began to change. His body expanded and morphed, becoming engulfed in a dark, viscous substance. His features contorted into a grotesque visage, with swirling sludge swirling around him like a sinister aura.

With a deafening roar, Grim Sludge broke free from his confines, the prison walls crumbling around him as he burst forth in a wave of dark energy. Towering over the shattered remains of his cell, he exuded an intimidating presence, his eyes burning with malice and determination.

His form was a twisted amalgamation of blackened sludge and jagged, hardened spikes protruding from his body. Each movement he made sent shockwaves through the air, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

As Grim Sludge emerged from Tartarus Prison, he loomed ominously against the night sky, a formidable force ready to unleash chaos upon the world. With his newfound power and vengeful spirit, he set his sights on wreaking havoc and seeking retribution against those who had wronged him.

Midoriya's Bedroom - Night

Midoriya diligently transcribed everything Ravage had shared with him. He jotted down details about the Miraculous, the cataclysmic power it bestowed upon him, and the activation code required to transform into his own superhero persona with the ring adorning his finger.

"So if I say the phrase, I'll be able to transform?" Midoriya asked, glancing down at the ring on his finger.

"Yeah, basically," Ravage confirmed with a smile.

"That means I can use this power to attend UA High School, the exact place where All Might went!" Midoriya exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah, no, sorry, you actually can't do that," Ravage said, his expression turning somber.

"Wait, what do you mean? It's been my dream to go to UA, and now that I have this power, why can't I?" Midoriya asked, his confusion turning to frustration.

"Because the power only works when you're transformed. When you're not transformed, you're basically still the Quirkless kid. I'm sorry, Izuku, but you'll have to pick another school," Ravage explained, his tone sympathetic.

Midoriya's heart sank as he processed Ravage's words. The realization that his dream of attending UA High School might not come to fruition weighed heavily on him.

"But... but UA is where all the great heroes come from. It's where I can learn from the best and become the hero I've always wanted to be," Midoriya protested, his voice tinged with disappointment.

"I understand, Izuku. But there are other schools out there where you can still receive a quality education and pursue your dream of becoming a hero. Remember, it's not just about the school you attend, but the effort and dedication you put into your training," Ravage reassured him gently.

Midoriya nodded, trying to accept the reality of the situation. Deep down, he knew that his journey to becoming a hero wouldn't be defined solely by the school he attended. He would find another path, one that would lead him to his destiny, regardless of the obstacles in his way.

"Thank you, Ravage. I'll find another school and make the most of it. I won't let this setback deter me from becoming the hero I aspire to be," Midoriya affirmed, determination burning in his eyes.

Ravage nodded in approval, a sense of pride evident in his gaze. "That's the spirit, Izuku. I have faith in you, and I'll be by your side every step of the way."

With renewed resolve, Midoriya made a silent vow to himself to persevere and overcome any challenges that lay ahead. Even if his path diverged from his original plan, he remained steadfast in his commitment to become a hero and make a difference in the world.

Suddenly, the TV flickered to life, broadcasting a breaking news story.

"We interrupt this program for a breaking news story. The notorious sludge villain has broken out of prison with a whole new look. He goes by Grim Sludge and has launched an attack on Musutafu Streets. All pro heroes are at the scene, engaging the villain," the news anchor announced.

"Oh no, this is bad," Midoriya exclaimed, worry evident in his voice as he watched the news unfold.

"Wait a minute, pause the screen," Ravage interjected.

"What do you mean?" Midoriya asked, confused.

" just pause the screen," Ravage pointed out as Midoriya paused the TV.

"Oh my God, no way. He's back," Ravage muttered.

"What do you mean? Who's back?" Midoriya inquired, his confusion growing.

"Hawk Moth," Ravage replied solemnly.

"Who is Hawk Moth?" Midoriya pressed for more information.

"Hawk Moth is a really bad guy. He has a Miraculous, similar to you and that Beetle guy, but his power is to give people superpowers," Ravage explained.

"Wait, you mean giving people quirks?" Midoriya asked, his mind racing with possibilities.

" you'll see that brand on the chest," Ravage continued.

"Yeah, why is the shape like a butterfly?" Midoriya questioned.

"That's an akuma. It's how Hawk Moth sends his power out. Only the Ladybug Miraculous can purify it. So that means Beetle has to," Ravage trailed off.

"Okay, so all we have to do is wait for Beetle to show up, right?" Midoriya suggested optimistically.

"Midoriya, you need to help him. It's time for you to be a hero," Ravage declared.

"What? No, I can't. If I go out there, I'll be a vigilante, not a hero. I don't even have a hero's license, and I'll be breaking the law," Midoriya protested.

Ravage fixed Midoriya with a serious gaze. "I understand your concerns, Izuku, but sometimes being a hero means doing what's right, even if it means breaking the rules. Beetle may need your help, and you have the power to make a difference."

Midoriya hesitated, torn between his desire to help and his fear of breaking the law. "But what if I make things worse? What if I can't handle the situation?"

"You won't be alone, Izuku. I'll be there to guide you, and together, we can overcome any challenge," Ravage reassured him.

Midoriya took a deep breath, his resolve firming. "Okay, let's do this. But we need to be careful and make sure we don't make things worse."

"Agreed," Ravage nodded, a sense of determination mirrored in his eyes.

With a newfound determination, Midoriya and Ravage prepared to face the looming threat of Grim Sludge and Hawk Moth. Though uncertain of what lay ahead, they knew that they couldn't stand idly by while their city was in danger.

"Okay, time to transform," Ravage said.

"Ravage, claws out!" Midoriya exclaimed as Ravage went into his ring, transforming him.

Midoriya then looked at himself in the mirror. He was wearing a black leather suit with cat ears over a black hood, a bell around his neck, a black face mask, a tail, and claws.

As Midoriya admired his new hero costume in the mirror, he pondered a fitting hero name for himself. He wanted something that represented his newfound abilities and the spirit of heroism. Suddenly, an idea struck him.

"I've got it!" Midoriya exclaimed. "I'll call myself '.shadowclaw '!"

With a grin, he began to make cat puns to accompany his chosen hero name.

"I'll be the stealthy hero prowling the shadows," Midoriya chuckled. "With my claws, I'll swipe away evil and leave villains 'claw-struck'!"

As he continued to brainstorm more cat-themed puns, Midoriya felt a surge of confidence. With his new persona as the shadow claw, he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead and prove himself as a true hero.
