The next morning Kim awoke earlier than Adam. She rolled over watching him sleep some. He saw how peacefully he looked in his sleep. She knew they needed to talk again this morning about whether she was flying or not. She knew she was adamant on it yesterday about leaving for PA for a couple of days. But now that she relaxed some and really thought about it, it seemed like it wasn't really a smart idea. The stress wasn't good for her or their baby. She needed Adam to know that she made a decision. But she also wanted to wake him naturally. She let her fingers wander all over his body. She started kissing his neck as well hoping the two would wake him. He shifted slightly moaning under the attention. "Darling why are you awake already?" He moaned loving the attention but it was early.

"I woke early over thinking and made a decision so I wanted to talk about it." Kim continued to kiss him. "Well I'm happy you made a decision. Not thrilled you are over thinking. But loving how this is going this morning. Let's finish this and then we can talk. I think we both need it." He noticed she didn't answer she just threw her leg over his hip before kissing him hard. He kissed her back just as hard while rolling them so he was hovering over her. He broke the kiss moving down to her chest kissing over her skin. Kim moaning under all the attention. Her fingers running through his hair. He opened his eyes just for a moment before he slid inside her giving them both what they wanted. It was slow, powerful, intense and extremely intimate. The couple moaning as they came as one.

Adam lowered himself on top of Kim with no force so it didn't hurt her. He rolled them so he would holding her close again. He loved having her against him. Especially naked, hot, sweaty and breathing heavy. His own personal heaven. She waited till they both calmed down before speaking again. "I'm not going. The hormones got the better of me yesterday. Traveling is stressful to begin with and then doing it pregnant with a plane ride and a car ride for a hearing sounds over the top. I can support from afar." Kim looked up to see him happy with her. "I agree with all of that. So I'm happy you are putting yourself and our nugget first. That's most important always. I'm proud of you. Thank you." He kissed her softly showing his appreciation for the plan she put together.

"How about we shower together then get the kids ready for the day?" Kim asked knowing he wouldn't turn her down. "Absolutely. Let's go." He helped her up and followed her to their bathroom. He watched as she brushed her teeth as he started the shower. They switched places as he brushed his teeth. They entered the shower washing each other gently before Adam stepped out while Kim did her hair. It always took longer so he got dressed and cleaned up his beard. He watched her step out and start to dry off. He waited till she was dry before helping put lotion all over belly. He loved this time with them. He kissed her softly before heading to wake the kids. He heard the blow dryer going as he closed the door. He found Allie awake and dressing for the day. "Morning Allie Cat!" He watched her dancing around. "Morning daddy Adam!" She just stopped dancing and ran to him for a hug.

"Alright finish getting ready and head down stairs." He placed her down to let her finish getting ready for the day. He moved to Riley's room knowing he was harder to wake. But he was surprised to see Riley awake and playing already. "Hey buddy. Good morning!" He watched his son's eyes light up. "Morning!" He jumped up wanting a hug. Adam scooped him up hugging him tight. "You ready to potty and start your day?" He felt him nod so he placed him down letting him run to the bathroom. As they entered the bathroom he saw Allie heading down the stairs. Riley was finished and headed back to his room to get dressed. He was talking and happily getting ready. "Alright bud let's go downstairs. You can play with Tiger while I make breakfast." Adam watched Riley heading down the stairs on his butt so he could start playing.

He found Allie was finishing the career routine for Tiger as they entered the room. "Thank you sweetheart! Go play while I start breakfast." He started making breakfast for the whole family as Kim came down the stairs. "Good morning!" Kim watched the kids light up running to her, including her fur baby. She hugged the kids before picking up Tiger for some snuggles. He happily took them rubbing his face on hers. Adam watched shaking his head. Kim placed the cat back down so he could play with the kids a bit longer. It wasn't longer before breakfast was ready and the family was chatting away as they ate together. Kim started to make lunches for them all as Adam played with the kids. It wasn't much longer till the family was headed out for the day.

The kids were dropped off and the couple headed to work. They walked into the district armed with their bags and all of Kim's snacks. Entering the bullpen next to each other just enjoying the last few minutes before the day got crazy. Kim had already reached out to Eric letting him know she wasn't going to the hearing. He had understood completely which made her feel better about the situation. He also made sure to remind her that he would be in contact as he heard more. He figured it would be a few days before an update came through but he would be sure to let her know. Adam was aware of their conversation as Kim shared her phone with him so he could read it for himself. It was just easier.

The unit has gotten a case so Kim was left behind to work the back ground checks. It was pretty easy work for her but it helped her stay productive and allowed her to help on the cases. When the team returned she had all the stats on each victim. They couldn't help but smile when they saw her writing on the white board with the marker on one hand and a carrot in the other. "Looks like you stayed productive and fed at the same time?" Kevin smiled as she blushed embarrassed. "It's cute! Don't be embarrassed!" He hugged her before letting her work again. Adam watched the former partners loving how close they were.

The group all got back to work trying to solve the case. Kim had been working hard when she got an email from the church in NC confirming the date and time for their wedding. Kim stood walking to the break room dropping her phone on Adam's desk as she walked by. He knew that meant she had something he needed to read but it was private. He tried to school his expressions excited to get married soon. He couldn't wait. As she came back with a fresh coffee for him and tea for her she took her phone back. Neither noticed the looks they were getting from the team. Everyone noticed the phone moving back and forth. The team let it go thinking it was probably about Greg but they kept an eye on them.

Around lunch time the team ordered food while they continued to work the case. It took many more hours before Kim was leaving for the day. It was perfect timing since the team was heading out on a lead at the same time. "Good luck guys! Be safe!" Kim,waved them off as she headed to get the kids. Both kids were excited to see Kim and head home to play outside. The weather was warmer, the grass was dry and the kids were thrilled they could run around outdoors again. They barely paid attention to the cat as they ran for the yard. Kim,watched from the kitchen as she made them a snack. When it was finished Kim brought the snack outside for the kids to eat. They all sat at the table talking as they ate. Kim couldn't imagine anything better than this. After they ate Kim joined the kids with playing in the back yard. Both kids kicking a ball around.

Kim took videos to share with Adam but also Eric. Kim was thrilled when she got a message saying Adam was in his way home. He also told her he would bring home dinner so the kids and Kim could enjoy the outside as much as possible. They all needed the fresh air. Especially Kim, it always allowed her to recharge her mental battery. And right now they knew she needed it more than ever. "Hey Riley! Are you excited for your birthday?" Kim asked as he ran around. "Yeah! Slide please?" He asked looking at Kim. "Do you want a slide for the yard?" Kim asked unsure what he meant. "Yes!" He yelled happily. "Well okay. I will talk to daddy about that. Anything else?" Kim asked seeing Allie kicking the soccer ball around. She walked him thinking hard. "Game!" He yelled. "You want new games or go to a game?" Again confused. "Yes!" He jumped up and down laughing. "Okay daddy and I will talk about it." Kim smiled loving how happy he was.

Adam had gotten home seeing his family outside running around including Kim. "Hey my family!" He watched them all turn around the kids running towards him. "Daddy! We missed you!" The kids yell. "Well I missed you both two!" He got down hugging them tightly. "Hey darling! Should we eat inside or outside?" Adam asked seeing her smiling. "Out here please?" She asked. "Of course. Let's get some plates and silverware and get the kids settled in for dinner." He watched the kids running in to wash up for dinner and get drinks before heading back outside. As they all sat around the table eating dinner the kids told Adam all about their day. This was literally one of his favorite times of night. Just relaxing with his kids listening to them talk. Taking an interest in their day, looking at their art projects, hearing their stories.

They played games till it was bed time. He took the kids to bed tucking them in and reading them stories. Once they were sound asleep he returned down stairs to find Kim relaxing with Tiger again. "Hey how was the case?" Kim,asked as he settled next to her. "Good finished. Was ugly but it's over. How was the time with the kids?" He wanted not to think about work. "Crazy busy! They stayed outside pretty the whole time. I talked to Riley about his birthday. He gave me some gift ideas." She watched Adam look amused. "What did he ask for?" Hoping it wasn't too crazy. "Well he wants a slide which shouldn't be difficult. He also said he wanted games. I asked if he wanted new games or to go to a game and he said yes. So I assume that means both. What do you think?" Kim asked not sure if he had plans already.

"Yeah I'm good with all that. Going to a game would be good bonding time for us. And lord knows we could always use new games to play. The slide sounds good. I saw one at Christmas that can have water hooked up to it so it's like a water slide as well. I think both kids would like that." He saw her agree with that. "I also thought we could put a small pool outside for the kids. Dig out a space for it to place it in ground and then during fall we use it as a fire pit?" She watched him google ideas for that. He liked the idea so he wanted to plan something nice that worked but also looked good. They shared different ideas trying to plan it out perfectly. "I love this idea so much! I can't wait to get started!" He was excited to start this plan with her. "I think it will good for all of us." Kim smiled looking towards Adam.

"How are you and our little nugget doing?" He asked rubbing her belly a bit. "Good a little tired. But we are good." She loved feeling him rubbing her belly. "Do you want to head up to bed?" He was worried about how tired she was. "No I'm good. This is nice just relaxing with you two. I'm good I promise." He watched her seeing she was being honest with him. "Good I'm glad. Just keep me in the loop in case. I worry about you two." He had no control over what's happening with her body so it worried him. "I know it, I worry too. But we are good. We are in the safe zone. Try to stress less please." She held out her hand to hold his. "This is just new to me so I worry but I will try to relax more. I would like to work the nursery this weekend. Does that work for you?" He really wanted to get it started. "I'm good with that. Sounds like a good plan to me." She was excited to see how it looked once it was finished.

"Have we gotten all the responses for the birthday party yet?" Kim asked since the replies were going to his email address. "Most of them. We haven't heard from Eric's parents. I figured we wouldn't but it was the right thing to invite them." He shrugged it off. "Well it could change but I'm not upset if they don't come. It's on them to make the connection with the kids and they screwed it up. So that's not on us." Kim refused to take blame for the breakdown in that relationship. "I agree completely. Mark and Devon are coming though so the kids will be thrilled to see them." He was truly happy with the effort they put into getting to know Riley and the effort to treat both kids the same. It meant the world to him. "They are great. Always good people. Her family is blended in different parts so she gets it." Kim admitted knowing Adam didn't know that.

"Random thought. Do we need a bigger car? How are three car seats going to fit? Like I know Allie's is a booster but still." Kim looked at Adam who was lost in that thought. "Yeah I think we need to look for a new vehicle. I hadn't even thought about that. But yeah we should start looking for something with a third row. Allie could sit in the third row with her booster seat. She's good at buckling herself in." He really hadn't thought about it. "Just add it to the list of things to look at this weekend." Kim sighed realizing this was just another thing to add to the list. "We will figure it out. And we can sell one of our cars or trade it in. And it doesn't have to be brand new. Certified would be fine too." He watched her contemplate what he said. "Yeah agreed. I got my jeep used. So I'm good with that." He watched her eyes closing as she spoke. "You want to head up?" He asked softly in case she had fallen asleep already. He watched her nod. "Alright let's get you up to bed." He helped her up watching her holding onto Tiger. "Good night by buddy! I love you my little fur baby!" Kim kissed his nose before placing him down and headed to bed.

Adam guided her to their bed knowing she so tired and she kept closing her eyes. He didn't want her to trip or fall so he helped her. He then helped undress her and getting her into bed before he got himself ready. He wasn't gone long but he returned to find her out cold. He chuckled as he slid in next to her. He molded her so they were wrapped together. Morning came earlier than either would have liked. The team getting a case which meant Adam needed to leave earlier than normal. "Hey I've got to head out. Try to sleep more but call if you don't feel well okay. I will get someone to help out." He watched her nod still half asleep. "I love you darling!" He watched her roll wanting a kiss. "I love you too! Be safe baby!" He was barely out of the room before she was asleep again.

He was the last to arrive at the crime scene which no one was upset about. They all understood two kids and a pregnant fiancé was a lot to handle. "What do we have?" Adam asked as we walked up. "Multiple dead. Looks drug related. Sorry to drag you out but we need all hands on deck." Voight did feel bad. "It's not a problem. She was out cold before I left again. Seems like the heart burn wasn't an issue this morning. So let's do this." Adam was happy that one bad morning seemed to be just that, one bad morning. The team processed the scene quickly. The murder was brutal but that seemed to be the norm with this unit. He was surprised by how much blood and drugs they saw. As they arrived back at the district it was still dark outside and the team was ready to figure it out.

"So it seems like 3 were killed with one shot to the head. The other was execution style." Erin explained pointing to the photos. "Maybe he didn't give up his information right away?" Adam asked looking over the photos. "Good possibility. Why else torture someone like this?" Kevin stared at the one photo. "Y'all see that? Right there." He pointed. "A small void in the blood spatter." They all looked closely getting Mouse to blow up that spot on the photo so they could look closer. "What was that?" They all stared at it. "It's a Polaroid photo. New school one." Kim commented as she entered the room. "Most kids have them these days. Maybe it's proof for whoever ordered the hit?" Kim placed her bags down. "Okay let's keep digging in." Voight ordered as the team returned to work.

"Hey. How was this morning?" Adam asked seeing her looking a little tired. "Hey. It was okay. The kids did great. Woke with a headache. Not bad though. I know it sounds weird but it feels like a storm is coming. My head always hurts with the pressure changes." Kim watched him process that. "Strange but okay. Just stay hydrated and comfortable. Ask if you need anything." He kissed her forehead before they both started to work the case. Every member had their task and they worked pretty much in silence. "Okay so 3 out of the 4 are related. The one that was tortured was the one not related." Jay wrote all their names on the board. "They are all under 18. Two have petty theft charges and the other two have gang ties. Possibly wrong place, wrong time for these two?" He pointed to the white board.

"That seems to fit with their social media posts. These two play sports, appear to go to school, have friends. And the items they stole according to the police report was food. I don't think they are actually bad kids. Just products of their environment." Kim stated as she kept looking. "Are they in foster care?" Al asked. "Um I'm not sure." Kim answered before Kevin chimed in. "Yes they are. But only in the last two years. Before that the father was never around. Mom was an addict." Kevin watched Erin sigh heavily. "Were the police reports before they went into the system?" Erin asked. "Based on the time line yes that would be correct." Kim answered. Kim got up walking over to Erin. They shared a brief hug before returning to work.

Erin walked into the break room needing a break. Jay followed knowing this hit close to home for her. This could have been her at one point. "Alright I have looked into the known offenders associated with these two. I have two listed and the addresses for both. Should we split up and hit them both?" Adam asked looking towards Voight. "Yeah let's hit it. Kim, Mouse keep working trying to figure out the why." The teams suited up to head out. Both offenders could be armed so they headed out ready for everything. Kim watched them leave hoping it all turned out okay. But she stayed focused on her work knowing it was the job. They worked together to get more information trying to get to make sure they knew they had the right person but also making the case air tight. It seemed liked forever before a call for backup came over the radio. It wasn't Adam but he responded that they were on their way. Kim waited for more information but it wasn't easy.

Next they heard it was a distress call for shots fired at the police and an officer down. She recognized the voice right away. Adam was calling for help but it didn't sound like he was the one hit. She headed down to the front desk trying to get clarification. "Platt?" Kim had a look of fear on her face and her voice shaky. "Hey it's the team. It was a patrol officer." Platt led her to the back office, Kim knew it was bad. "It was Roman. Adam was trying to control the bleeding as he called it in. It seems like it's going to be a good result. Not sure you should go to the hospital though since it was Roman. Just relax a bit. Adam is good, the team is good." Platt watched Kim relax a bit. It wasn't the best outcome since someone was shot but at least it wasn't her team or the love of her life. "Okay. I'm gonna head up to try to relax. I'm not feeling great right now. I feel a little dizzy." Kim was holding onto the desk trying not to fall." She tried walking but it wasn't going well. "Nope we are heading to med. You need to get checked out!" Platt ordered calling over to 51 to get an ambo faster.

"Platt what's going on?" Dawson yelled coming in. "Gabby! Kim started dizzy after hearing a shots fired call. I think her blood pressure got too high but we need her checked out." Platt walked Gabby back towards Kim. "Hey Kim. Are you in any pain?" Gabby asked as she started to check her vitals. "No. Just dizzy. I feel sick." Kim had her eyes closed focusing on her breathing. "Okay we are gonna take you in just to be safe." Gabby got her on the stretcher and headed towards the door. Kim just nodded. "I will call Adam." Platt watched Kim nod again. "Ruzek!" Adam answered not really paying attention to who called. "It's Platt. Listen to me. Your distress call freaked Kim out. She's dizzy and feels sick. She's headed to med with Gabby and Brett." It was the short version.

"Fuck! She's okay though? The baby?" He was freaking out. The team all looked over scared for their friend. "She's okay-ish. She will be there soon. Try to relax a bit." Platt hung up soon after. "What happened?" Voight asked. "Kim heard me call in about officer down. She got scared it was one of us and is now dizzy and feeling sick. Gabby is bringing her in now." He sighed heavily. "Hey it's probably just her blood pressure. Platt said nothing about pain so that's good." Erin knew it wouldn't help till he saw her. He waited by the door for her while Erin called Kim's parents to get the kids. As soon as he saw the ambo he was opening the door and jumping in. "Kim I'm right here!" He held her hand right away seeing her nod. She was hearing him. He stayed beside her as they brought her inside refusing to step away from her.

The team watched scared for their friends. It was a flurry of nurses and doctors before they were left alone a bit. "Hey darling. What's going on?" Adam asked softly. "I heard your voice and got scared. I thought it was someone on the team. And then I got dizzy and felt like I would throw up." She shook her head slightly but got nauseated again. "Okay I understand but I need you to relax some okay." He begged her. "Lay with me please." Kim started to cry softly. He didn't hesitate jumping into bed with her. He wrapped his arms around her. He watched as her numbers started to slow down again. He saw the doctor coming in as well. "Hey Adam. Is she asleep?" Will asked. "No I think keeping her eyes shut is keeping the nausea down." They watched her nod. "Okay great. Kim it's just the blood pressure. It spiked too fast and too high so we need to bring it down some. I'm not too concerned about the baby but I will send Dr Asher in to do an ultrasound just to ease your mind. I will also let your team come back to see you. Do you want something for the nausea?" He asked watching her nod. "Okay not a problem. I'm sure it will help a lot." He gave her the meds almost right away like he knew she would need it.

He left the couple alone to brief the team. He entered the waiting area seeing everyone looking towards him. "Okay she's alright. Her blood pressure spiked causing dizziness and nausea. But she's stable and resting comfortably. My suggestion going forward take away her radio. It will stress her out too much. Her numbers have already come down some and we are just waiting on OB to do an ultrasound." Will watched them all sigh in relief. "I will definitely take her radio away. I honestly hadn't even thought about that. But I'm glad she's okay. Any word on Roman?" Voight asked knowing it was the real reason they came here in the first place. "Still in surgery but it looks good. If Adam had been a minute later in getting to him it would be a different story." Will shrugged leaving them alone once more.

The couple was broken from their silence by Dr Asher coming into do the ultrasound. "Hey guys you ready to see your baby?" She asked seeing their eyes light up. "Okay Officer I'm just gonna need you to step out if the bed so we can work." He got up right away but kept his hand in hers. "Alright let's see the little one." She paused as she worked. "Okay here we are. Heart rate looks great. Measure perfectly where they should be. Hate to tell you this but it looks like you are going to have a large one." She laughed seeing their horrified looks turn softer. "What does that mean?" Adam asked. "My best guess at this point is a 9 pounder and around 22 inches based on current growth." She watched their eyes bug out. "Told you it was a boy!" Kim laughed hard.

"What makes you so sure?" Dr Asher asked. "Gut feeling and only name I can up with is a boys name." Kim laughed a bit more. "Do you want to know?" She asked looking between them. "That's up to you Adam. I will let you decide since you were robbed of it the first time." He saw the sincerity in her eyes. "I think I really want to know. Are you really okay with that?" He didn't want to upset her more. He watched her nod excitedly. "Okay let's find out." He watched the doctor moving the wand around her belly trying to get a peak. "Well good job momma!" She watched the couple crying ugly tears. "Really?" Kim asked again. "Yes right here you can see clearly it's a boy." Asher smiled wide at them. "Can we have the team come see it?" Kim asked unsure. "Sure I will go grab them for you." Asher left the room heading to the waiting area. They all looked to see her standing there. "They want to see you all. It's tight fit but it's worth it." She laughed as they followed behind her. She pointed to their room where they all heard the heart beating loud and clear.

"The baby is okay?" Kevin asked first. "Yes! See for yourself. Meet Christopher Adam." Adam turned the screen so they could all see it. Tears flowed as well as cheers but they tried to be respectful of others around them. "This is beautiful Kim!" Erin cried holding onto her friend. "It is amazing though we have been informed based on current size he will be around 9 pounds and 22 inches long. So I expect to be very uncomfortable towards the end." They all laughed. "Hopefully he doesn't like to kick your spine like Allie did." Jay gave her a knowing look. "Oh god that was horrible! If he does I promise I will be bed ridden." Again the room cracked up. "I know this sounds strange but how's Roman?" Kim asked. "Okay from what we have heard. Will said that if Adam had been there a minute later it would have been a different outcome. So this is the best outcome. However going forward you will not have a radio during raids. We can't have this happen each time. And as much as I love having you upstairs we might not do it much more if it keeps stressing you out too much. We have to consider the baby. So for today just rest and tomorrow be back to work." Voight left after that. She knew it was coming.

"I knew he was going to say that. I screwed up today. Just the fear in your voice I really thought it was someone on the team." She sighed hard. "Hey we all get that. And you didn't screw up. Getting upset makes complete sense given the situation. How about we relax a bit more then we can head home to the kids." He watched her smile as she snuggled up beside her again. His fingers roaming her belly the whole time. He felt her fall asleep in his arms. It was around 30 minutes later Will walked. "Hey I have her discharge papers. She's free to leave but she has to slow down some. This stress has to stop. I know it's not on purpose and I know she's trying but it needs to come way down." Will explained knowing Kim would not stop if she wasn't forced. "Completely understand. And I promise she will slow down. It's been a lot the last few days. But today was over kill for her. She thought it was one of us. Which made things worse so we will make changes going forward." He knew this was not something that could continue.

"Alright, let's get her home." Will unhooked her monitor so they could head out. "Kim. Time to head home okay." He watched her smile wide. "Hey I know I didn't say it earlier but I'm so proud of you!" She watched his face turn to confusion. "You saved a life today. You didn't let personal feelings get in the way of saving his life. I'm so damn proud of you." Kim kissed him hard. "Well damn! Should I go save more lives?" He asked shocked by the kiss. "No just needed you to know how I feel." She grabbed his hand as they headed out of the hospital. They were surprised when he heard his name being yelled across the waiting room. "Can I help you?" He asked the people walking closer. "Um yes. I just wanted to thank you for saving my son's life. I heard about the issues with him and Kim but we are just so thankful that you still saved his life. Thank you!" The women cried pulling him into a hug. He was shocked but understood. "I'm a cop first. And I would never let someone die for personal reasons. That's not right. I'm happy he's doing better now but we really need to go. Our kids are waiting for us." He shook their hands and headed out.

He helped her into the car as they headed home for the night. As they entered they had decided to not tell the kids that Kim was in the hospital just that an officer had been shot so they were there to support. "Hey pops!" They saw Bob playing with the kids. "Hey! How's the officer?" He asked watching the kids run to their parents. "He's gonna live thank god. It was scary though. For all of us." Bob seemed to get the drift and let it go. "Alright well I'm going to head out. Let you guys rest." Bob started to leave hugging both kids before heading to the door. "Hey pops! It's a boy!" Adam smiled wide knowing he would be excited. "Really? That's great! Congrats to you both!" He hugged them both then leaving them be for the night. Kim declared family movie night on the couch to just relax. The kids had already eaten so Adam ordered food for him and Kim. They both needed to eat as well.

The kids fell asleep during the movie which neither was surprised about. Adam took each kid to bed letting Kim rest a bit. She was in her favorite spot when he returned with her little buddy. "Yeah. You feeling better now that you ate something?" He asked sitting next to her. "Yeah. I'm so sorry about earlier. Maybe I should step back from helping upstairs." He could see she was conflicted. "No need to be sorry. Things happen. Was I upset when I heard you were coming in sure. But I get how it all sounded over the radio and you couldn't see who it was. It all makes sense. If there is a next time I will have someone call you so you know before you freak. But we are good." They snuggled closer needing that closeness.

"Well I guess we can start really planning the baby room now. And we are a year out from the wedding. So we need to start planning. Also total random thought we might want to think about selling the condo?" Kim sighed. "What why?" He was shocked. "Well it's going to be too small soon. Neither kid will want to share a room with the baby. They are going to want their own rooms. I don't want to not have a place there just maybe something bigger." He watched her shrug. "I think we have a year or two before that's a real problem. But I get what you are saying. I guess I would be sad if we got rid of it because it's been so important in our relationship since we found each other again." He was crushed thinking about it. "Well we could keep it and buy something bigger too. I mean it's paid off. The settlement was enough to buy both homes out right plus some. I still have money from it." Kim sat up a bit before turning to look at him better.

"So I have a bank account at the bank right in Duck. All the rent checks do directly into that account. Then the bills come directly out of that account. Once a year I take half the left over money and put it in a savings account there as well in case something happens to the condo. It's not a ton of cash left over but all the bills get paid plus some. And when I bought it I got it for under 300,000. Now they go for close to 400,000. So that's good too. Most places close to the water will start at 700,000 plus. I don't know. Something to think about. With everything else." Kim just shook her head. "Okay so I'm not worried about that at all right now. Let's just focus on the baby and babies room. Once the room is done we can worry about the car. After the car we can think about the wedding. Just one thing at a time. No stressing about three years from now. I know you like to plan ahead and normally I agree but right now took much is spinning in there. Okay?" He was surprised how her mind worked some days.

"Makes sense just trying to plan but you are right. Just need to talk things out to stop the spinning. If I don't get it out I just spin more. I know it hard to understand but it's the underlying anxiety that never leaves completely." She knew he knew that. But she needed to say it. "Oh I get it but just know I'm not letting you spin out. I will help keep you on track and focused. We got this, together. One big crazy family!" He watched her smile, tiredly but smiling non the less. "You ready for bed?" He asked. "Only if my buddy can come up tonight." She knew he was needed tonight. "Of course. You need the emotional support cat. So let's go." Helped them up leading them upstairs. Kim placed Tiger on the bed as she got ready. Adam made sure the step stool was close by just in case Tiger needed it.

Kim got into bed first before Tiger settled on her. Adam curled up next to them draping his arm over her belly, the other behind her head. The couple fell asleep quickly after that. Needing a sound sleep after all they had been through during the day. The couple was in pure heaven as they slept wrapped together.
