Chapter 3-1: That's Hardcore!
Back at the lakeside, Floyd continues swimming around and catching fish for the Basketball club members.
He rises from the surface and says, "Here's some more fish. How many's that now?"
"Actually, whatever. I'm done swimmin'" Floyd says, before swimming back to shore.
And then place the fish there.
Everyone is amazed, "WHOOOA!"
"You must've caught over 50 fish! Thanks for makin' the rest of us look like chumps, reelin' in one at a time," Ace says, shocked and amazed, "Not to mention you caught 'em with your BARE HANDS and just tossed them on land. That's hardcore!"
"Eh, it was pretty boring to me. The fish in this lake are pathetically slow," Floyd says, having changed back to his human form. And looking bored, "Goin' after small fry is a waste of my time. How can I feel the thrill of the hunt if none of the fish are worth chasin'?"
"Well, hey. At least you got our lakeside challenge in the bag!" Ace says.
"Now our designated chef just needs to clean and cook them," One of the members says.
Then Jamil says, "Right, I'll handle that."
"We're counting on you, Jamil. Make it a meal to remember!" Ace says.
Then Floyd says, "After I snagged all those fish, you better not just stick 'em over a fire and call it good."
"...Okay, sure. I can make something nice," Jamil says, "But I'll need more than just fish if you want a full-blown meal. And it'll be your responsibility to gather the extra ingredients."
"Aww, man…" Ace and Floyd respond.
"You get what you wish for. I'm going back to camp to prep these fish," Jamil says.
"Okay, we'll head for the mines to help look for magestones," One of the members says.
Then the members head to the mines to find the stones.
Then Jamily turns to Floyd, "Floyd. Ace. You're in charge of foraging for wild plants—edible ones."
"Fiiine, I GUESS. This better be one mouthwatering meal," Floyd says.
"Don't disappoint us now!" Ace says.
"Yes, yes, I got it. See you soon," Jamil says.
Floyd turns to Ace, "Welp, let's get to it! I'mma look around by the lake. You take the woods, Crabby.
"Okay!" Ace says.
Soon, the two split up to find the edible food.
Ace searches around and says to himself, "Hmm, I have no clue which plants are edible. I doubt I'll find much on my own. But hey, Floyd's surprisingly into this. I'm sure he'll get enough for the both of us. After spending all day setting up camp and fishing, I've finally got some time to myself! Nobody'll notice if I'm PRETENDING to forage. I'll just find a nice spot to chillax."
Suddenly, Ace hears something, "Hm? Did something just move in the grass?"
He looks towards the grass and birds fly out.
Ace yelps, "Whoa! Birds?! Geez, don't scare me like that!"And frowns, "...Grim would never let me live it down if he saw that."
Suddenly, he hears more rustling in the bushes, "More of 'em? Pfft, fool me once... Stupid birds."
But then, something comes out, and pouncing at him, making Ace scream, "WAAAAGH!"
At the forest trail, Floyd searches around for food, but hears Ace scream.
He looks around, "Hm? Thought I heard somethin'."
So far, there is nothing but silence.
Floyd says to himself, "Oh well, whatevs!" with a smile.
