Three months after our group had started our training regime, I got a call from Bulma to come to the Capsule Corporation and have no one follow me... luckily, I had managed to keep my end of the bet with Goku and had managed to learn Instant Transmission in a record time of 2.5 months, meaning I was actually on the move trying to find the Dragonballs. But I was doing it without a dragon radar, as I was able to sense their power with my Scouter, believe it or not! But the range was heavily reduced with the scouter, so I'd only managed to find 3 of them. So I definitely had to go to her place regardless, so I then went to the Capsule Corporation by using Instant Transmission to appear about twenty feet away from Bulma, who was currently in the lab of the corporation.
"Hello? Bulma?" I asked, her then poking her head over to me and smiling.
"Heya!" she smiled as she then looked left and right. "You came alone, right? And you haven't told anyone?" she asked, me nodding.
"No, I haven't and yes, I came alone," I said, her then grabbing me from afar with a strange new power I didn't know about, her then showing that she actually had a visible baby bump! And Puar was also in the place with a big tummy of her own!
"Don't comment on our babies and don't tell anyone about it, okay? Vegeta married us in secret," Puar said, me tilting my head at that.
"Um... he married both of you?... Isn't it supposed to be 1 per person or something?"
"For those who happen to be fully populated, yes, it would be. But Saiyans are on the endangered species list. So, according to the laws of Earth that were put in place about 8 thousand years ago, any group of animals, plants, or sapient species that are at risk of being depleted must have everyone try to find a way to continue their bloodlines through any means necessary... and even then, after what we've seen with Gohan, surely a halfbreed of myself and Vegeta wouldn't be that bad," Bulma smirked.
"And as for Puar?" I frowned, her pouting at me.
"Shapeshifters are also on the endangered species list. If you include myself and Oolong, we only have 10 of us left on the planet!" she said, me gawking at that.
"But that isn't the important thing that we called you here for," said Doctor Briefs, as he pointed to a certain device that I was surprised by. It was the robotic bug that I'd captured when waiting for Goku to show up. "I've managed to finally decrypt all of the binary code that was on this robotic bug... but it's in some new kind of code that I've never seen before. All the numbers and letters are jumbled up with strange shapes and symbols! I felt that I'd ask you, as you've been around technology far longer than any of us."
I nodded at that and looked at all of the symbols before then smiling. "I see what's going on now. Whoever created this bug must've been a mad scientist sort. Because he hid the truth behind multiple codes. But it isn't just two of them, he used three," I said, which the group were confused at.
"Um... could you explain what these codes are, please?" Bulma asked, me nodding at her.
"The first codes were Binary, which, when decrypted, showed that it was showing a bunch of shapes instead of letters. These shapes happen to be the second barrier to the information we need, as it's Wingding, and ancient form of text where every single number and letter is replaced with a special image that correlates to it. Usually seen on computers when from before I was reborn."
"And the final line of defense is what?" Bulma asked, me then looking at it and frowning. It was as I feared.
"The last line of defense is going to be the most challenging, even for me. It's a type of code where letters and numbers are assigned to be a completely different letter or number as opposed to the letter they're supposed to mean. And that is the hardest one to decrypt, so, instead, I'll get to detangling all the wingdings into the letters and numbers that they form," I said, seeing that all of the Wingdings were of capital letters, numbers, and colons, where I saw that, after I finished detangling the code, the only item that hadn't been switcherooed were the numbers and the colons!
"What does all of this stuff mean, then?" Bulma asked, me then seeing the numbers that hadn't changed and gawking at them. The ones that were the easiest for me to detangle were of the numerous different words and numbers that stood together before the colons.
"ANDROID 16: PROJECT FAILURE
ANDROID 17: CODENAME LAPIS
ANDROID 18: CODENAME LAZULI
ANDROID 19: CODENAME MIMO
ANDROID 20: CODENAME REDACTED
ANDROID 21: CODENAME IN PROGRESS
ANDROID OMEGA: CODENAME CELL"
After doing this, the group looked at it in shock.
"Androids?! T-That means that this robotic bug was from Doctor Gero! He's been spying on us! And this is WAY more than just 2 androids!" Bulma gawked, me hushing her as I then proceeded to detangle the information from the letters that I'd already detangled and applied them to the rest of the information.
"16: PEACEFUL AND ONLY WISHES TO FIGHT GOKU: IF TARGET SUCCEEDS HE WILL REFUSE TO HARM ANYONE ELSE AND INSTEAD PROTECT THE PLANET
17: LAPIS IS TOO UNPREDICTABLE: AWARE OF CONVERSION FROM HUMAN TO ANDROID AND DETESTS THIS FACT: ONLY USE AS LAST RESORT
18: LAZULI: REDIRECTS TO 17
19: ENERGY ABSORPTION MODEL: LOYAL TO THE ARMY AND PROGRAMMED TO FOLLOW ORDERS: WILL NOT BETRAY ME
20: ONLY A LITTLE LONGER AND I WILL BECOME IMMORTAL JUST AS WELL: WHEN GOKU FALLS THE WORLD SHALL BELONG TO THE ARMY
21: STILL IN PROGRESS: FORMED FROM MAJIN DNA, HERA DNA, AND SHAPESHIFTER DNA: UNKNOWN ALLEGIANCE AS OF YET
CELL: ENTRY STILL IN PROGRESS: CELLS BEING INTEGRATED FROM EARTH'S GREATEST FIGHTERS: WILL ONLY GAIN TRUE POTENTIAL AFTER ABSORPTION OF 17 and 18."
This was a lot of information to learn, ESPECIALLY in front of Bulma and Puar themselves, the duo looking at me in shock as I was nervously sweating after detangling all the code.
"This... is bad... what about those numbers that are to the sides of them? Is that... their power levels?" Bulma asked, me gulping at the levels of power that the Androids each had.
16 had a power level of about 600 million, 17's was 450, same with 18's. 19's power was about 200 million, 20's was 220 million, 21's power level was listed as unknown, and Cell's power was in segments, with it giving a base form power level of 300 million for the base form, then going up to 900 million base in his second form and up to 1.3 billion in his final form! But again, this was only if he hadn't absorbed other people into his body.
"Um... so... how strong have we gotten so far?" Puar asked in concern.
"Out of our elite fighters, which consist of myself, Gohan, Goku, Vegeta, Launch, and Puar... I can go all the way up to most of us can go all the way up to 100 million without going into my giant state, which would make me a big target, even if I manage to make it 20 billion, it'd be difficult to use it against an opponent that's smaller than me... especially considering the one part about this Cell guy that I detangled but didn't want to show you right away..." I sighed as I then showed Cell's final part of the blueprint that was on the bug.
"IN ORDER FOR CELL TO BECOME STRONG ENOUGH TO ABSORB 17 AND 18 HE MUST ABSORB THE ENERGY, SOUL, AND POWER OF PEOPLE AND ANIMALS IN ORDER TO GAIN STRENGTH: A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR WORLD DOMINATION"
"A-Absorb?!... HE'S GOING TO MAKE A MONSTER LIKE THAT?!" Bulma asked in disgust, me frowning as I noted one more thing about the project of Cell.
"You don't need to worry, Bulma. From what the numbers say, Cell's creation shouldn't happen for a good 24 years from now. He's still in progress in the laboratory, so he shouldn't pose as a threat so long as we can find out his resting place... but it'll be tough, because, though my Scouters can sense for android power levels, it can't really do very well with sensing them if they're in a cryogenic slumber... as a matter of fact, I can only sense two strong androids out there as of now, those being Android 8 and Arale, both of whom are on our side," I said, which Bulma gawked.
"Oh yeah! I remember those two! Arale was on the news just the other day for taking out Monster Carrot, who came back to try and find the Dragonballs. She blew him to kingdom come and took his powers, too! She's able to turn things into carrots now, so long as they're weaker than her," Bulma explained, which I was honestly surprised by.
"Huh... neat! As for 8, he's not really that much of a fighter, but he is still at 500K for power levels, so he can protect himself from basic threats... but it just seems that our opponents keep upping the bullshit and keep making our lives harder... we need to train harder... but I need to ask you guys to promise me something," I said, them looking at me in confusion. "Promise me that you do not, repeat, DO NOT tell anyone about this information," I said, which Puar gawked at.
"W-Why not?! What if the androids get strong enough to kill us?! Remember what Tapio said?! They're monsters that could kill without remorse!" Puar said.
"I mean, yeah, sure, but look at the inscriptions of 16, 17, and 18, the strongest of the trio," I said, the group then looking at the inscriptions and being surprise.
"Wait... 16 is peaceful and then 17 and 18 hate Gero because they were converted from humans?... Those poor things! I'd be pissed too if I were yoinked away from my family and turned into a robot!" Bulma said in disgust and sadness for the group.
"So, because of the wording, I can only assume that those three only wish to kill Goku and that is it. But 20 and 19 seem to be the most intriguing, as it says that 19 is completely mechanical and loyal... and 20 says that he's also converting himself from human to machine for world domination under his army's rule... sound familiar?"
And the one who put the pieces together first was someone I was surprised by.
"Doctor Gero," said a voice from around the corner, me gasping at how the face was Vegeta!
"ACK! V-Vegeta! W-When did you show up?" I asked him out of surprise, seeing he was waiting by the door.
"Enough to know that you've found out that there aren't 2 androids alone and that you want to keep everyone quiet about telling us their power," Vegeta said, me frowning at him. "Tell me, why can't I learn those power levels?" he asked, me gulping. He needed a damn good excuse and I had to come up with a lie... but luckily, I knew how Vegeta ticked. So I told it to him in a way that he'd be pleased with.
"For everyone else, it's to make sure they don't get scared or try to over-exert themselves with their training. But for you? Because if you found out how strong the oppoenents would be, it'd make it completely pointless," I said, Vegeta frowning at me. "After all, you're already stronger in your Super Saiyan state than both 19 and 20. With further training, you can beat all of them in your sleep, but it's no fun fighting an opponent if you know how strong they are. It takes a true warrior to go into a fight without any information."
Vegeta smiled at me after. A smile that knew what I was doing. "I know what you're trying to do, but I don't care. I just want to know how strong Cell and 21 are," he said, me frowning at that.
"For Cell, it's 300 million in his base form, which won't even emerge from his incubation until 2 and a half decades from now. And 21's details state that her power level is undetermined. Not even Gero knows about it... but how did you figure it out so fast?" I asked him.
"You're talking to a person who's been hired by Frieza for his entire life. Ask me again," he said, me deciding to be playful.
"Again?" I asked, him then frowning and sending a small blast of ki at me that was meant to shock me, which I frowned at how, even when I was in my final form and at my weakest, his attack did manage to make my left arm lock up from the blast! "Meanie!" I pouted.
"I'll keep this secret, but I promise not to look at the power levels of them. Because you're right. I don't care about exact numbers anymore since I learned how to sense powers without scouters," Vegeta smirked. "But... there is one more thing that I wanted to ask you," he said, looking at me and then at his wives. "When the kids are born... do you have any suggestions for names?"
I was stunned that Vegeta was actually asking me this question! But I smiled at him and proceeded to tell him my ideas. "If Bulma's kid is a boy, name him Trunks. If it's a girl, call her Bulla. For Puar, I can sense that she's going to have twins, but as for the names? Two boy options are Beat and Tofu. The two girl options are Peaches and Cream," I said, Vegeta smirking at Puar's kid names.
"And not Tapio?" he asked, me then smacking my face at that. "Yeah, I thought so. Tell me, which one was this Tapio person supposed to be? Because I put two and two together shortly after they got pregnant," he said, me sighing.
"Fine... again, tell absolutely no one and make sure that these lovely ladies have 0 complications, okay?" Vegeta nodded. "Tapio... is supposed to be Trunks. So if Bulma's kid is a boy, then the timeline will be safe and you'll name him Trunks... again, don't tell anyone about this, because there's a good reason that I didn't want to tell anyone about the future Trunks' true name or backstory," I said, Bulma nodding.
"So that he can still exist both in his alternate future world and in this one, right?" she asked.
"Yes, exactly that... but Puar?... I don't think Trunks mentioned anything about having half-siblings with you being a second mom or something, so this is definitely a surprise to me that she's also going to have kids."
"Speaking of, we'd like it if you could come over right away if Puar happens to give birth, because she said that her kids should be born faster than mine, as she's a Shapeshifter," Bulma smirked, me nodding at her.
"I promise I'll be there as fast as I can when it happens... oh, and uh, Puar?" I asked, her looking at me with a blush as I was looking at her chest. "You may want to invest some funds into a shirt or something... they're starting to get kind of big."
"I KNOW! Don't point it out like that!" she shouted at me before covering her mouth. "Oops... s-sorry... I've been going through the mood swing phase..." she admitted.
"Don't worry. I know what you're talking about... oh! But before I forget, Bulma. I managed to win the bet against Goku and I wanted to know if I could borrow the Dragon Radar so I can make my wish come true. Do you mind?" I asked, her smiling at me as she then reached into her purse and handed it to me.
"Here you go. But be careful not to get it hurt," she said, me nodding at her as I then saw on the radar that there was actually one nearby in West City's outskirts. Specifically in the ocean.
"Huh, one of them's actually in the ocean nearby? Guess I gotta get wet, then. Good thing I don't need air," I smiled as I then pocketed the Dragon Radar and Bulma spoke up.
"It's only waterproof for up to 30 meters underwater, so be careful!" she said, me nodding at her as I then proceeded to fly out over the ocean outside of West City, seeing that the area that the Dragonball was... happened to be at the bottom of a trench.
"Of course... welp, only one way to do this... hopefully it won't get hurt by being in my mouth," I said as I placed the radar in my mouth and closed up my throat and nostrils. I then proceeded to dive into the water and use my ki to help me find where to go... I must've done this for almost 20 minutes, to the point I was now in complete darkness! So I couldn't use my eyes, only sensing for life. Good thing my Scouter was not only waterproof, but pressure proof just as well... same with my armor. I looked around in this trench, seeing a lot of different fish that I'd never seen before. Some were gigantic but super chill and others were small and were hoping to try and bite me.
I eventually reached the bottom of the trench and searched with my ki around the place, eventually finding the Dragonball I needed!... But there was a slight problem. It was being protected by a gigantic palooka that looked... well it wasn't from this world, I can say that much. It was from another Akira Toriyama production, that being... the world eater of Lavos from Chrono Trigger! I proceeded to do something to him that I didn't know if it'd be good or bad. What did I do? I hit him with a Death Beam that zoomed through his entire body, it actually being a one-hit kill as I sensed... at least 10 different littler Lavos offspring emerge from the giant leech, me then zapping all of them just as well until all of them were dead. I then grabbed the Dragonball... it was the 2 star ball, that much I could tell from holding onto it and feeling the indents of the stars.
But I then heard something... I heard the sound of gurgling. Angry gurgling. I gawked at this and swam up as fast as I could, me swimming faster and faster up, me then looking down when the light finally came... and I saw a gigantic fricking Lavos chasing after me with its mouth wide open! I then proceeded to send a Death Beam at this giant Lavos... and it didn't even go the whole way through! I then went large just before Lavos could snap its gigantic jaws on me and fought at a much fairer level, me holding its jaws open and, eventually, I managed to open the giant space tick inside-out like a hard plastic purse! And after this, I then sensed something... this Lavos was not just Lavos... it was something worse.
"It... It has... the energy of Horsepower..." I thought to myself as I sensed it had a base power of 190 million before I'd basically killed it... and then, when I got to the surface with this beast in tow, I looked at it all over. It was unmistakable. The color of green, the mouth being pure orange, the insectoid design of the numerous legs, tail, and wings! This Lavos was basically the base design of Cell! I did NOT take any chances and proceeded to hold onto the giant palooka and warped myself to Bulma's lab, me knowing that this Lavos would barely fit into her research room, so I simply had it outside of the front entrance by warping in front of Mrs. Briefs.
"WHA?! What is that?" she asked in shock, but still in her bubbly attitude as I then called up Bulma.
"Bulma? Come outside right away... I think that I have something that could give us a leg up against Codename Omega," I said, her then immediately coming outside and then shrieking in fear at the gigantic bug, me frowning. "Don't worry, it's dead... I found this big bug along with at least 10 different babies at the bottom of the ocean... and I think it may have a connection to one of our upcoming adversaries," I said, Bulma gulping and slowly coming over to the big machine and seeing that it was, indeed, dead.
"It's... it feels all weird... and this tail... it has some weird kind of stinger... wait... you mean this might be a precursor to Gero's Cell creature?" she asked in a hushed tone, me nodding.
"Indeed. I need to ask if you still have that shrinking device so we can make carrying this guy easier," I said, Bulma smirking and nodding as she then placed the wristband on Lavos's arm and then pushed the shrink button, which made the giant space tick shrink to the size of a capsule.
"I still remember when I had Goku carry me at a tiny size when we were much younger... he wasn't really a good bodyguard. I almost got eaten by at least five different things during that adventure," she said with a small, nervous laugh before then putting the dead monster in a container. "I'll study it day and night whenever I'm not training. It's sure to have at least some way of finding out how to defeat this Cell creature, since he could probably regenerate," she said, me nodding as she then took the beasty away and I then proceeded to go search for more Dragonballs. I just had to hope that I wouldn't have any issues with changing this much of the past.
