One World: Many Souls

Chapter 46: Sing To My Soul

Angel's Point of View:

"Mom! Its starting! Its starting!"

"I'm coming, baby bones. I can hear you, just a moment!"

I was rapidly trying to finish signing off on the last of the documents I had for the day before running off to the concert for my twin daughters. Connie and Cali had eagerly awaited this day since the beginning of the year. My girls were at the rough age of twelve and a half, it was their winter concert right before school let out for the winter break, and they were far too eager for the celebration to sing their special made Christmas carol they'd been practicing with their dear aunt Frisk. She helped compose my lovely daughters a special song to sing together that they were ready to preform before the entire family and friends.

The school concert was booked solid with friends and family who paid in. A special one open to the public for aspiring talented young children. And my beautiful girls were just amazing.

While I would never claim I had much of a singing voice, nor my husband besides the concert they helped out with years ago during our first winter in the underground, our daughters had an amazing set of vocals on them, as well as the similar tones they could hit together just about made me melt at the knees hearing them.

They practiced for months, almost every night and then dressed up in their beautiful matching dresses tonight of sparkling red. The only difference was the bells attached to their Santa hats that made us able to tell them apart. They were trying to be as identical as possible while offering only the smallest bit of difference between them. Cali had dark mahogany red bells, and Connie had dark pink bells. They even had a little dance number to go with it.

It made it all the more reason to get through my paperwork fast, since we had to be there in literally five minutes.

"Sans!" I called out to my husband just as another phone call came through. I groaned loudly at it. "Take the girls and I'll be ready shortly!"

"No problem, Precious."

When the sounds of pounding feet and cries calmed in the background, I finally grabbed the phone call waiting for me. "This is Angel."

"Mrs. Terians, I'm sorry to bother you on such an important night, but I have grave new to pass to you."

"Enya?" I blinked, my right-hand woman was taking care of some other matters for me so I would be able to enjoy the concert with my loved ones. "What is it?"

Enya went into detail straight away that made my blood freeze at her words. Eyes widened at her comments before the grip I had on my phone twitched and I struggled not to let my magic pulse. Though I knew Sans felt it while he stayed with the kids.

"How long ago did you get this information?"

"Just moments ago ma'am, and I did also find out that Jade Masato has just been informed. Her entire country is on lock down to find him."

"How many hours ago was the escape?"

"About three."

A heated breath left me. "I see. I need to make more phone calls. Make sure to alert all borders to watch for him and anyone who looks like him is to be detained until proven innocent."

"Understood."

Making swift work of hanging up on Enya, I felt Sans teleport back into the room with his skull on my shoulder. He held me tightly as he felt the primal rage struggling not to break out of my soul.

"Precious. Talk to me."

Shaking my head, I pulled my contacts up to show who I was calling next. A practical new king who'd been crowned only just recently after the birth of his triplet children. Sans I felt raise a boney eye brow at what I was doing before the call was ringing and the phone was on speaker.

Thankfully, it was picked up within a few rings. "Angel! Howdy! Frisk and I almost to the venue, are the girls situated?"

"Asriel. Listen to me, and turn the car around."

The call went silent.

"What?" Asriel was floored by my words. "What do you mean? The girls and Frisk have been looking forward to this for months-"

"Take Frisk back to the castle and make sure its on lock down. Asriel, we have to, for her sake."

"Angel? What's going on?"

With a deep sigh, I felt both men listening to me intently at the intentness of my worry. "Luke Madden has escaped, and no one knows where he is."

Third Person Point of View: (Three hours earlier)

It was actually a very nice day over the prison when the blond-haired male was allowed outside for the first time in almost ten years. His pasty skin felt warmth for the first time that had been robbed of him, and his eyes he shielded just due to how bright it was.

Oh, how he missed being under it.

"Mr. Madden, please make sure to check in with your parole officer daily." The male lifted his head to look at the woman who escorted him out. "You've been very lucky to come out of your sentence early by eight years, but you need to keep up this good work order to cut down on the rest. You remember your restrictions, yes?"

"Of course." His voice was a tad gravelly after not using it for so long. He had to relearn how to use it all over again, besides him screaming in his cell. "I'll be confined to the home you've provided for me and I have to be inside the building between eight in the evening to eight in the morning. I have to check in by at least text message twice a day, or once via phone call. I'll be working a small labor job just around the corner from this apartment to allow me easy access or the ability to work later."

"Good, you were listening to the briefing." Luke hardly paid any attention to the woman's features. He wasn't trying to use his magic yet due to the bracer on his leg that while it didn't prevent him from doing so, would alert the woman before him of his attempt.

He worked too hard to go back into incarceration so soon.

"Alright then, here are the keys, and Harry will lead you over to the house. It's about a ten block walk from here." A set of silver looking keys were dropped into Luke's hand. He hardly looked at them, they were just keys. "Make sure to check in once you make it and get settled after Harry drops you off. You will have a couple days to get acclimated to your new home before you go to work on Monday."

"Understood." Luke nodded, flashing the woman a bright smile, and it took all he had in him not to use his powers, especially when the woman gave a rather unimpressed look. It would have been a perfect window in!

If it wasn't for that stupid bracelet...

"Go on now. You know the rules. And Judge Jade Masato will be checking in with you also within a month's time. Make sure you're available on the twenty-eight of next month."

"Yes ma'am."

With that, Luke was left at the end of the long walkway from the front of the prison he'd been waiting outside of. Taking a look back at the building, it had been ten years since the last time he saw the front of it, or any other side. After walking in the building, which he hardly remembered while being under the control of that damn judge, all he saw for those last ten years were those bare dark walls.

"Over here, Mr. Madden." The guy, Harry, Luke guessed, stood only a few paces away from him while the woman left his sight. Hardly paying attention to the features of this person, he followed up to him and was led along the sidewalk toward a few homes in the district. "We'll take this road to head to your apartment, give you a chance to stretch your legs, but let me know if you feel tired. I know you haven't gotten a chance to exercise much in the last few years."

"Thanks." Luke kept his eyes ahead, eager to look around the area as he saw where he'd been in the Masato territory for the last decade. He had no idea where he was roughly located, other than the vague notes that were passed to him inside his confined lunch double door box. The only place he could receive a note without being found out.

And today was the day he would be truly free. He just had to wait for the opportunity.

He was told not to do anything if he was kidnapped or anything crazy happened in the area as a distraction. He would be grabbed, freed and then moved back to an isolated area on the Terians' border where he was finally going to meet his partners that would help with the Terians' downfall. He was so ready to get back at those sisters. He wanted to really make them suffer, especially his Frisk. Oh he was never letting her go when he got her again.

And he'd make her watch everyone she loved be controlled or killed before her. Oh he'd make it so she couldn't think again.

That sister he'd have to kill, Angel. He'd have to work hard at that one. Angel and Sans Terians, they always were the power houses of that family. He could never get an in when it came to them, and it wouldn't be easy to take them down. He didn't really get a chance to see what their magic was like, so he was hoping to learn about that once he met with his partners.

Apparently there were others like him that had been wronged by them. Tossed around and fooled with. Luke was eager to see what he had to work with and how many people would be truly on their side or if he had to take control. He honestly may have just done it regardless. Controlling people was just so easy.

"Be mindful as you come down this street, Mr. Madden." Luke was brought out of his thoughts as he noticed the man, Harry, spoke to him. "This intersection is horrible for accidents and people not paying attention as they come by construction."

"Okay."

That was something that Luke was going to pay special attention to. An area that has accidents often was incredibly useful information, especially whenever his new companions planned to help him escape. He wasn't sure when that was going to happen, nor did he know what day, what time, or how. Just that it would happen soon. He was told to keep an eye out on the day of his release.

But that was it.

Luke continued to follow the man while he chatted, though Luke mostly tuned him out while listening to the other sounds around him. He listened to the people around him, the cars, the buses. Even a plane that traveled overhead. He listened to the normal sounds of society, and listened for anything that didn't sound right.

And that was when he heard the screech of tires.

Focusing in on that noise, Luke turned to face it when Harry yanked him out of the way. A car sped over the edge of the sidewalk where he'd been standing moments before, then turning the corner with a horn blaring.

"Damn! They're really aggressive today..."

It was hardly a moment later as the two men breathed when another car sped up by them. Black entirely in color while it stopped by the two men laid against the sidewalk after their tumble escaping the first one. Men poured from the vehicle and rushed forward. Before either of them could react, sacks were thrown over their heads and their vision taken.

This was what Luke had been waiting for.

Letting them men tie him up and drag him into the van, he heard it sped off with a very frightened Harry beside him. He could hear the man's muttered cries as he wiggled and shrank next to him.

"Target acquired, along with baggage."

"Good, get them moved, and quickly. We need to get the target out of Masato's jurisdiction. And the baggage, it will be a... test."

"Roger."

The car sped off to another location. Luke could feel the rush of the wheels as he was forcibly held down in his seat while sirens were on them in seconds. He could hear their muffled sounds though the vehicle while it swerved and moved around rather aggressively.

But then, it went silent. Just the speeding of the car could be heard before it screeched to a stop. They were almost thrown from their seats if it wasn't for being held down. It was only for seconds before the doors opened and they were yanked out. And then the car sped off without them. Other hands grabbed them, throwing them into another vehicle where things finally were calm. Luke was situated in a seat and his head kept low before sirens came back and came racing by. Luke could hear the passing so rapidly before it went silent again.

"Coast is clear."

"Good, then we can start making our escape. Start driving, and take the back roads out of the city. And do please make sure the jammer is in place. We most certainly wouldn't want our esteemed guest to lead anyone to us after all."

That voice was slightly familiar to Luke as he felt a car slowly begin to move and his vision was granted to him. Once the bag was off his head and he able to see, he noticed that he was in a simple van with tinted windows where he was strapped into and he was already being unbound from where he'd been grabbed.

With his hands free and the ability to see now able, he looked to those who sat before him across the center of the van. Two individuals were there, one a human male in a white lab coat and rather messy looking grey suit, while the other was a rather gorgeous monster lady made of metal. Both looked at him with arms crossed, though the monster woman was smoking a cigarette at the moment that was blow before her. The van's windows were not cracked.

"Well met, my dear darling Luke Madden." The woman chuckled while she took another long drag of her cancerous stick. "You are the final to join us and help in our mysterious benefactor's ways to take down that of the Terians family. I hope you're ready to go."

"Been ready for years." At that Luke grinned before taking a look between them. "And you are? You'll have to forgive me, I've been incarcerated for the last decade, so I don't know a lot that's happened."

"Oh darling, what a sweetheart, I knew I'd like you." Finishing the last smoke, the cigarette was hurled into a ash tray at her side before she blew one last puff of air before her. "The name is Mettaton, darling. Just as much eager to take down those girls as you are."

"And I'm Dr. Claeg Baldeth." The man in the messy suit and lab coat sighed before pulling out a computer and turning it around to show Luke. "I've been analyzing your case with your magic and it must be killing you not to use it for so long. Must be quite the build up to fully take over someone."

"Damn straight." Luke eagerly grabbed at the seat, something he could squeeze at until he had his abilities again. "Any hope of getting this damn thing off?"

"Trust me, if we didn't have a plan, we wouldn't have grabbed you."

The doctor released his belt so he could come to kneel before Luke. A particular device that looked almost like a wand with a needle was injected into the side of his bracer hanging off the ankle. The device screeched and screamed before it gave way and popped open, allowing he freedom.

"Fuck yes!" Ripping his fingers away from the seats, Luke flexed his fingers, already feeling his magic pulsing ever so potently out of his body. "Oh, there's no way that bitch can escape me now."

"Good, now that your all gathered, let us begin."

The attention of the three in the van, along with the grunts in there with them, were gathered to a screen that came down from the ceiling. A hooded figure appeared there, the glowing red eyes once again shown to them that they had seen before, or were seeing for the first time.

"I am not yet able to tell you my name, but know that my hatred for the Terians family bleeds from generations prior. My group is responsible for that of the death of David and Cynthia Terians, and the mental decline of Richard Terians. We had almost done away with Victoria Terains, but she suppressed the accident we caused to kill her off years ago."

"While you are traveling, Claeg, please update Luke of current affairs of the Terians family so he knows what we are up against, and Mettaton? Please do your work on Luke to change his facial structure so we can get him passed the border. All of you will need to do the same so you can meet at our location on the northern edge of Terians land. Once you gather here at my location, I will give you more information about both myself, and we will go over all your targets that must be removed. Unfortunately, the current Terians family members are having babies like rabbits, so there are many children that will need to be killed as well."

Luke paused at that. The words hit a cord with him. There were only two sisters, and the older one just had kids when he was put away. And Frisk… how hard would it be to get her?

"Tell me one thing in advance." Luke demanded as he sat there, watching the still woman on the other side of the screen. "Frisk. What's she doing now?"

"Ah, Francine Terians has made quite a few decisions that has made her a difficult target. You're lost love will be hard to get to Luke, and her children as well." The figure Luke could almost feel the frustration from them, even though the screen. "She's become the queen of the monster kingdom, marrying King Asriel Dreemurr, the goat man who saved her from you years ago. They have had three children in the time you were gone, half human, half goat monster half breeds. Named Rosalie, Orchid, and Ashland."

"God damnit…" Luke couldn't help but hit his fist against the van's seat in his frustration.

"Worry not. Once we are together, we will be planning on how to take each and every one of them out. Effectively taking out perhaps many families in the process." The leader paused for a moment before the screen tuned to Mettaton. "Please do hurry Mettaton, we have only two hours before you reach the border, and the country is already becoming on alert now that Luke has been freed. It won't be long until Angel finds out and things could get rather… dicey."

"Yes, yes, I'll start right away." Mettaton leaned forward in her seat with many products, colors, creams and the like. "You'll have to stay as still as possible. I need to smooth out those hard edges on your face and make you appear more normal so you don't stand out, darling. And I'll be darkening your hair as well. We need to make you look nothing like you do now, and then the doctor and I will be doing the same."

"Fine, do what you have to." While he grumbled at it, he'd do almost anything to make sure he didn't go back to prison just as soon as he got out.

"And… one last thing, Luke." Our employer shifted the camera to look down at the withering man that had been dragged in with me. "Make sure you test your abilities out on that one, we can't have him making a scene as we cross the border, and he'll be a good puppet for you."

Luke grinned as the man who was supposed to lead him to his new 'redemption' life was going to be his first victim. He was excited, he could feel his magic already seeping from his body as he directed it toward his victim. He wasn't nearly as secretive about what he was doing this time. Overwhelming the crying male, he screamed from behind his gag at the intrusion of his mind and soul until he went still, and the tears that flowed down his face were endless streams with dead eyes.

"With pleasure."

He would get back what was supposed to be his. He would have his prized puppet back. And he would end her as he saw fit.

Here I come, Frisk.

Witch's Note:

Alright everyone! Another chapter is over with! So let's talk about-

(I'm cut off then as the door to my room is charged in, smashed to pieces. I have seconds to snap the laptop shut and hide it in a bag I had by the side of my desk for travel.

Darting around the side of the desk to hide myself, I watched as droves of people rushed inside to my room in order to find me. I had placed there a long time ago a secret hole in the wall to keep myself hidden, but also to escape should intruders ever come to our heavily fortified home.

Why didn't the alarm go off? Did they do something to mess with the normal mechanics? I guess I was going to have to hit the override emergency button myself...)

?: Where is she? Where's her laptop?

Me: (Peaking through the cracks in the walls I could see a figure in the middle of the armed forces covered in a black cloak with red glowing eyes showing from underneath it looking around.

Fuck, fuck, fuck! Is that-

I didn't have time to think past that as my room was quickly ransacked in their search for me.

?: (Arms thrown out to the room and an eerie tone coming from her vocals I could hear.) Find her, and if you don't, check the basement area. Capture Halloween Witch and Mystic Girl, along with their partners Mystic Man and Jager, and any of their reviewers who are in the castle. There are at least five others here, Thechaosmaster, Shadow8Phantom, Not A Shady Guy, Dasansi and unfortunatlyriverwastaken. And make sure not to harm our inside agent, MysticBoywastaken."

Me: What the fuck...!?

I couldn't stick around any longer as I shimmied between the walls with my bag on hand to get to another secret passage I had to get to the basement. I had to warn the others!

Just as I made it around the corner to where it was a straight shot to my best friend and where I hoped most of the reviewers we housed her were, I heard the smashing of a wall back the way I came. I didn't dare look back as I continued moving forward.

?: A secret passage, so typical of them. Follow it and find her. She's probably making her way to another access tunnel to the basement.

Me: Shit, shit, shit!

I tried my best to speed up toward the end of the narrow hallway where a single latch was open. I set my bag inside and let it drop with plenty of cushioning to keep my precious laptop from breaking before looking around for where I knew that emergency button was.

Even if we couldn't take out the enemy, it would at least light the place up and let everyone know we were under attack.

?: THERE SHE IS!

Me: Oh fuck! (The red button catches my eye as I look back to the men who saw me. Slapping my hand against it, instantly hundreds of alarms go off and I jump into the hatch before it closed behind me. They weren't able to follow me that way, at least not for some time while I slid down the side passage into Mystic Girl's underground base.

From the projection of the tunnel, I flew out into a wall of down fluff that was set there for when we dropped. I found my bag easily just as I darted out of that room to see Mystic Girl already standing with the others along with Mystic Man and Jager.

The only one I didn't see was Mystic Boy...)

Mystic Girl: What the hell is going on, Sis?!

Me: She's here! (I darted at her and pulled on her arm.) She found us! We gotta get everyone outta here and go to the remote second location!

Mystic Girl: You've gotta be fucking kidding me?!

Me: I'm not, so get everyone and go! We gotta bolt before they get down here. They originally disabled the alarms!

Mystic Girl: How? We're the only ones with those codes, along with our reviewers-

Me: (And that's when it hit me. Mystic Boy had been quiet for quite some time, and his reviews were shorter than normal. Sometimes I didn't see reviews for him during a small handful of weeks, and it was possible they were being removed from my system. I doubted how possible it was, due to Jager having friends who helped me build the cyber security system we had. But it was the only other lead we had.)

I have an idea, but we have to go for now and I'll explain when we get to the bunker! She's after everyone! We gotta go!

Mystic Girl: Fuck! Fine! Let's move people! We gotta go!

Me: (We ran out then, out of the lower region's sewer systems we managed to escape out into the wilderness away from wherever they were waiting for us. Off we dashed to our second home, we were had even more security in place, so hopefully that didn't happen again.)
