-[five days prior]-

The darkness of her cave sparked fear into many god's hearts. But for Hestia, hope warmed its way into the cave. Hecate emerged from the shadows, dressed in a simple green gown.

"Lady Hestia," she greeted, dipping her head in respect.

"Hecate," Hestia said. "I need a favor."

"Of course. Anything."

Hestia tipped her head. "The gods and demigods are under a spell. I need you to find a cure to help them."

Hecate narrowed her eyes. "That would make sense. I can't visit my children in my dreams anymore. Whoever casted this veil has to be very powerful, but forgot about the minor gods and you, apparently."

"Artemis as well."

Hecate nodded. "I'll do my best." With those words, she flashed away. Hestia sighed and flashed back to her hearth.

-[present day]-

Hecate flashed to the Hearth without warning. Her excited look on her face told Hestia that she found a cure.

"I found a spell to cure them, but I'll need your help."

Hestia nodded and they flashed together towards Camp Half-Blood. Hestia placed her palm on Hecate, using the Hearth to transfer energy to her. Hecate took in a deep breath and muttered some words under her breath. Once she was finished, a crackling sound could be heard in the atmosphere and Hecate nearly collapsed, Hestia holding her up.

Across camp, several people dropped to the floor in surprise before looking around tentatively like they were afraid something was going to attack them. Several others blinked, and looked around in confusion, like they couldn't believe what was happening.

Hestia nodded. It was working. "Now the gods."

They flashed to the Olympian council, in the hearth. Transferring her energy to Hecate, Hecate muttered the same words under her breath and collapsed instantly after it was done. Hestia flashed them to her cave, gently placing Hecate in her bed before flashing back to the Olympian Council.

Most of them were looking around in confusion and a tiny bit of disbelief. The Big Three, in particular seemed to be very confused. They had, after all, disowned their favorite children.

Hestia smiled. It had worked.

When Percy came to, the hunters were crowded around her, smiling smugly. She blinked. Groaning, she stood up, wincing as her back cracked all over.

Artemis, in particular, seemed really smug. Percy frowned at this. What was going on? She looked down and nearly fainted for the second time. Leaping back in shock, Percy was stunned into silence. Why was she a girl?

Thalia interrupted her thoughts. "You look… adorable!" Several hunters snickered at this. "Welcome, new sister!"

Groaning, Percy rolled her eyes. "Can I have my other body back? I don't feel… comfortable in this."

"Nope!" Artemis smugly said.

Suddenly grinning, Percy replied, "Okay, Arty."

"What did you just call me?" she asked, shock written in her face.

"Arty!" Percy said smugly, "Like how you call me Perseus." Thalia cackled.

"NO!"

Percy raised an eyebrow.

"I mean, no. That is completely unprofessional!"

Thalia cackled, "Then Moonbeam! Like pet names!"

Artemis blushed. Percy winced at this, probably thinking about Annabeth's pet names.

"If you call me Moonbeam, Perseus, I will…" Artemis let the threat hang in the air.

"Okay, Moonbeam!" she said smugly.

Artemis groaned. "Ice-brain."

"My element is FIRE!"

"Your other one is ice."

Thalia looked between them. "Wait what? What happened."

Artemis turned toward Percy. "Why don't you tell them?"
Percy had a panicked look on his face. "No!"

"That can be your punishment!"

"What, Artemis, how do you know about this and not me?" Thalia interjected.

Artemis rolled her eyes. "I don't. Hestia said the guardian was meant to represent 'Duality' and since Percy's element is fire, his other element should be ice. Hence, the 'Duality'."

"But I still don't want to recollect that experience."

"Too bad!" Artemis snapped and Percy flinched back. Artemis felt a little spark of guilt, but quickly pushed it away. This was her fault, she told herself and snapped her fingers.

Percy flinched as something invaded her bloodstream. It seemed to be calling her to speak. She pushed the feeling away, but it seemed to only grow stronger, urging her to speak.

Percy cried out in pain as her eyes sparked silver. Horrified, Artemis took a step back.

"What's going on?" Thalia cried out.

Artemis swallowed. "The harder the thing is to divulge, the more the person struggles."

"Wait, what did you do to him?" asked Reyna.

"I might have injected my magic into her bloodstream…"

"WHAT?!" Thalia screamed.
Artemis huffed. "He'll be fine. He might be in a lot of pain though…"

A long scream punctuated this statement and Percy fell to her knees, screaming her head off. Artemis took another step back. Thalia scowled.
"Seriously?"

"He'll be fine," Artemis said, but her tone was unsure, as if reminding herself.

The screams were abruptly cut off and Percy stood up, still shaking. When she opened her eyes, several hunters also took a step back. They were pure silver, with no pupil or other thing visible. Just a flat silver color spread across the span of her eye.

Artemis, still shaking, asked her, "Why did you run away from camp?"

Percy shuddered once. "It started when…" she started in a flat, emotionless tone…

The gods sat at their respective thrones. Poseidon was in shambles, Hades was silent as silent tears struck his face and Zeus was no better.

"Who had the power to completely change our feelings?" asked Ares, always desperate for another war.

Athena frowned. "Only a demigod with a primordial's help. The primordial can't interfere with the demigods' lives because of their ancient laws, but a demigod with their help could."

"How does that even make sense? A primordial can't interfere with them but interferes by interfering with one demigod?" asked Demeter.

Athena sucked in a breath. "That's how their laws work. Don't ask me."

"Then who?" questioned Aphrodite. The loss of her three favorite ships had hit her hard.

"Someone new… who wouldn't know the risks of primordials…" started Athena.

Aphrodite's eyes widened in realization. "Then Jess, Mark, or Brad. They have a grudge and are new."

Athena agreed. "Let's bring them up here," she said, turning to Hermes.

Hermes nodded and flashed away, returning a few seconds later with them.

Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades scowled. They didn't even remember having them.

"My lords," Jess started in a slick voice. "What can we do for you?"

Hades quivered with anger. "Which one of you nincompoops did it?"

A brief sliver of surprise flicked its way to their face, before turning to anger. "Did what?" asked Jess, angry that he didn't get a prize.

Mark and Brad looked at each other. "Jess."

Jess scowled at them. Whatever, he thought, Lord Order will collect my soul to make me battle anyways. They cannot kill me.

Zeus scowled deeply. "Then you will have a fate worse than death."

Jess' eyes widened as Mark and Brad backed away. At once, the Olympians (minus Artemis and Hestia) struck him with bolts of energy.

"I," started Zeus, "King of Gods, declare this demigod to be faded!"

With those words, the tendrils of energy surrounded Jess as they struck him at the same time. He let out one agonized scream before dissolving into pure energy.

Poseidon glared at the others. "Leave, before I kill you myself."

They scowled, but left Olympus.

Zeus slumped back into his chair. Who was their enemy now?
