Short 24: Driving Back to Lust

After escaping Crimson's Mafia group and Striker, Blitz, Fizzarolli, Amara, and Roy are heading back to the Lust Ring to drop Fizzarolli off at Ozzie's. So far, the trip has been kind of silent, especially for Blitz and Fizzarolli.

Amara sighs, "This has been a very rough and well, emotional day."

"You can say that again. I know the first thing I'm going to hear from Stolas is asking about what happened that almost got us dead," Blitz says.

"I can imagine dad is having a panic attack," Amara says.

She then rubs the sleeping Roy's head, "Roy also had a tiring day."

"Yeah. A lot for a kid to deal with. Fuck, I really don't want to go through that mess again. I mean, it's kind of fun, but I really don't want to almost get killed again," Fizzarolli says.

"True, but I'm actually glad you and Blitz were able to work things out," Amara says.

Blitz smiles, "Yeah. I'm actually glad I did."

"Yeah," Fizzarolli says.

Blitz then asks, "So uh, does that mean we're friends again?"

"I guess, but after fifteen years, it's going to take some time," Fizzarolli says.

"Fair enough," Blitz says.

"That reminds me, there is something I'm bothered about," Amara says.

"What's that kid?" Fizzarolli asks.

"Well, Fizzarolli…" Amara says.

But Fizz says, "You can call me, Fizz."

"Okay," Amara says, "Still, something is bothering me about what you guys talked about back in the warehouse. Blitz wanted to see you, but he was told that you didn't want to see him at all. But according to you, you actually did want to see him, at least hope for him to visit, but was never told he came to see you, even though he did. So I have to ask, where did Blitz get the idea that you didn't want to see him."

Then Amara turns to Blitz, "And who told you that?"

"Well uh, it's kind of difficult to explain what happened. In fact, a lot has happened after the fire, and it's um…" Blitz says, sounding nervous and uneasy.

But Amara reassures, "It's okay, I understand. It was overwhelming for you. I remember how I felt after the experience I've had. It was really hard for me, especially since it happened when I was a kid."

"Yeah. I mean, those guys are fuckin messed up. I mean, from what you and Blitz basically explained, you were practically robbed twice in various ways. And whoever did it is fuckin sick," Fizzarolli says.

"Yeah. And we're still trying to find them. However, they're good at covering their tracks, especially that creep, Mirage," Blitz says, "I mean, part of me actually felt a bit flattered when he said I was sexy, but the way he said it really turned me off."

"No kidding. It was so disturbing," Amara says.

"Well, I'm sure you'll find the fucker and give it what's coming to him after the shit he put you through, especially this Mirror and Orpheus guys you've both mentioned," Fizz says.

"Thanks," Amara says, "And on the other note."

Just then, Amara gives Fizzarolli a karate chop on the head.

"OW! FUCK!" Fizarolli yells in pain. Then angrily turns to Amara, "What the fuck was that for?!"

"I'm still mad at you for ruining my date with Aaron, but don't worry, your overgrown blue chicken will be next for me to chop," Amara says and shows her arm a karate chop.

Blitz smirks, "Amara, I would love to see you try."

"Yeah, I don't know if it's just a good idea. Ozzie will be very pissed about it," Fizzarolli says.

"Maybe, but if it wasn't for what happened at the club, I would have hit both of you with an actual table," Amara says.

"Fuck! For someone who is supposed to be born a Goetia Royal, you really don't act like one," Fizzarolli says, stunned.

Blitz laughs, "Yeah. Amara is quite the tomboy, even though she does wear a skirt and dress. In fact, there are times I wonder if Amara is really a boy."

"Well, from her appearance, she certainly does," Fizzarolli says.

"Oh brother, even you think of me as more masculine even though I'm a girl," Amara says, annoyed.

"Well, that's what you get for being more masculine than most girls, kind of reminds me of Millie," Blitz says.

Amara smiles and shakes her head in response.
