The last chapter of the arc. Wow, it's been quite a ride. But now..we will finally have our boy back. This chapter won't be much besides Ben getting cured and returning to the family.

Chapter 14: Broken Free

Fading Down by Ethereal Snake begins to play*

I feel out of time

Ben's eyes open as his right eye is back to its normal green and the left cybernetic eye has turned green as well

I'm fading down

He looked down and saw the beaten Rook Blanko, with Ben aiming the weapon at him.

Gone far away

Into silent lands

Ben dropped the gun and looked at his hands, realizing what he was about to do.

Memories slowly gleaming

Where soft voices die

He began to tear up as this was what finally broke him.

It all seemed out of control…..

cut music*

Ben clenched his fists and turned to face Slade.

SHKKKT

Slade drove his blade through Ben's stomach.

He sneered. "You are a failure, Agent 47…weak as the day I found-"

Slade was cut off as Ben punched him in the face.

Ben grabbed the hilt of the sword that was plunged in his gut and ripped it out, groaning.

Slade growled. "Still got some fight…good. It'll be even more satisfying to kill you." He pulled out his other blade.

Ben then spoke. His voice was different. "Oh it's not even close to how I'll feel when I kill you. You tore me apart, corrupted my soul. I'm going to gut you like the slimy fish you are." He aimed the blade at Slade.

Slade chuckled. "Let's dance boy." He put his mask on.

The Only Thing I Know For Real starts playing*

The two began to collide, blades striking each other. It was an intense fight between two warriors. Everyone watched as Ben was able to keep up with this superior fighter.

Memories broken, the truth goes unspoken.

I've even forgotten my name.

Slade threw a smoke bomb, blinding Ben as he snuck up behind. Ben coughed and Slade kicked him to the ground.

Slade went to finish his off.

The only thing I know for real

There will be blood shed

Ben's eyes began to glow green as he could feel his powers returning. He got up and struck Slade in the face, launching the old warrior backwards.

Ben looked at his hands as there was green electricity coming from them. He turned his attention to Slade, who had gotten back up.

Ben ran forward as his body was covered in green energy, he vanished. Slade looked around frantically as Ben had vanished. Then…from behind, Ben rematerialized and grabbed Slade in a chokehold.

Slade groaned and began to slam Ben into the wall. Ben pulled a knife from his belt and began to stab Slade in the shoulder.

Eventually Slade was able to throw Ben off and onto the ground.

Slade laughed. "Show me a good time, 47!!"

Ben then pulled out his own sword and the two went back to dueling. Ben delivered a consecutive amount of strikes. Pure adrenaline was running through his veins at this moment and he blitzed out of sight again.

Slade ready this time when Ben reappeared. He grabbed the brown haired boy and gave a kick to the wound on his gut, tossing him to the side. And Ben got right back up.

It was a standoff at this moment. It could go either way.

Slade and Ben both reached for their sidearms but before Slade could fire…

BOOM

Smoke was coming from Ben's pistol.

Slade coughed blood as he was shot in the chest. He had lost.

He dropped to his knees and began to chuckle. "Well...looks like I taught you well, my boy…"

Ben walked towards Slade and kneeled down. "You did…now it's time for you to face your punishment in Hell…"

Slade had a smile. "You're going to do…well, kid.." He fell backwards, taking his last breath.

Ben stood up as the soldiers had dropped their arms and surrendered.

All his friends and family went to him and started to hug him. Ben smiled but then began to pass out as he had a bleeding wound.

He faded out…

A little while later, they had Ben in the medical wing, unconscious. The new doctor was giving him a scan. She was a beautiful woman. She had beautiful brown hair, a mole on her cheek, cherry red lipstick and green eyes. Her hair was tied into a bun. This was Dr. Cassandra Holiday, recent transfer to the Plumbers.

Beside her was Max, Gwen and Kevin. Rook was currently on a bed, resting from the fight.

They had removed Ben's armor, leaving him in his spandex boxers. His body was so much different. He had a more muscular physique from all the training and modifications to his body. The arm that Malik removed was replaced with a cybernetic arm. His body had a good bit of scars. On his back, he had an implant on his spine up to the base of his neck, in order to fix his paralysis from the battle.

Dr. Holiday finished her scan and looked at Max. "His body is 25 percent machine. The chip in his brain is fine,but there's more cybernetics. His entire left arm, left pectoral, his spine, his ribs and his left eye. Even his skull has a bit of metal plating for protection."

Max sighed. "Is there any chance he could...turn again?"

Holiday said. "It's too soon to tell but…he appears to be in good health, despite his robotics. The wound on his stomach has already healed, thanks to the modifications to his body."

Gwen looked at Ben. "I still can't believe it. This is Ben…after all that time…he's home…"

Kevin held Gwen close to him. "We will make sure he recovers…"

Ben began to groan as he woke up. He looked around and gently sat up, wincing.

Kevin and Gwen walked over and helped him sit up.

Ben looked at them. "Thanks…" He held his stomach.

Max asked. "How are you feeling, son?"

Ben rubbed his head. "About how I look, Grandpa..." His voice still sounded different, his voice now sounded more deep and gravely.

Kevin looked at Holiday. "Why does he sound different?"

Holiday looked up from the console she was working at. "The battle from Malik damaged his vocal cords permanently. Not to mention what Slade did to him."

Gwen looked at the scar on his neck. "Guess that explains this scar."

Ben chuckled softly. "If only that was the worst of it..."

Max grabbed a chair and sat in front of Ben. "What happened, son?"

Ben looked down as he started to remember. "It started after the battle…I was near death when I saw this…entity appear...he wore what appeared to be a futuristic space suit…but before he could do anything, I saw these military vehicles pull up..."

Gwen and Kevin sat down as they listened to Ben speak as well.

"They brought me to this underground facility and began to treat my wounds…putting me in stasis…" Ben continued. "I then awoke on an operating table…I watched them open my skull and put that chip inside my brain…removing all pain, but also my emotions…they rebuilt me and put me to work..." He said as he looked at his mechanical arm. "The things they made me do…I've killed a lot of people..." He began to tear up

Gwen gently touched his shoulder. "It's ok, Ben…you had no control over your body…"

Ben smiled softly.

Max said. "Now that you're home…there's people who want to see you. Your lovers and daughter are currently staying here after your house was destroyed…you had a lot of enemies after you...luckily no one was home, but they have been dying to see you. " Max said as he went and opened the door.

Immediately, Helen, Shar, Ester and Attea fell into the room as they had been listening through the door.

Ester got up and dusted herself off, scowling at Attea. "I told you that was a bad idea!!"

Attea got up as well. "Me?! You were the one who was being to loud!!"

Ester and Attea were staring daggers at each other and started to fight.

Looma came in and separated them, her pregnant stomach starting to show. "You two are acting like a bunch of Barthoks!! This is supposed to be a special moment as our beloved is home."

Ester and Attea looked at each other as they were embarrassed about how they were acting.

"I'm sorry…" Ester apologized.

"And I'm sorry too, Ester... I just got too rambunctious." Attea replied.

The two hugged.

Then right past them came the pattering of little feet.

Evie ran to her father. "Daddy!!" She said tears in her eyes.

Ben got up and kneeled, hugging his daughter. "Evie!!" He said as he held her.

Evie hugged her father tightly, tearing up. "I missed you so much…"

Ben smiled. "I missed you too, lovebug."

Everyone smiled at the reunion between father and daughter.

Evie noticed Ben's cybernetic arm. "Daddy, you're part robot now!! That's so cool!!"

Ben chuckled. "Really?"

Evie nodded enthusiastically.

Ester helped Ben up. "Let's go get you settled in and then you and Evie can go out together."

Ben smiled as he picked up his daughter. He walked out with his lovers.

Holiday then said to Ben. "If you have any pain or discomfort, let me know and we'll get you checked out."

Ben nodded and continued walking out. That woman felt very familiar.

Meanwhile…

Jon was in his quarters on a video call with Solomon. "So now…Slade is dead and the traitors are rounded up, sir."

Solomon nodded. "Good. You did an excellent job, Agent Mitchell."

Jon asked. "What do we do now?"

"Well, we have finished our job in Bellwood. I have a lead on the Titan in Illinois so we will be returning there."

Jon nodded, looking a bit sad.

Solomon noticed this and replied. "You don't seem happy with that plan."

Jon explained. "I've gotten adjusted here. I feel at home in Bellwood and with your permission…I'd like to stay…"

Solomon thought for a moment then nodded. "Permission granted. Should you need anything l, don't hesitate to call. I must go as I have a lot of work to do. Solomon out."

The call ended and Jon sighed, rubbing his face. He had made his place here and it was time to fill it.

He left his room and Max was outside, waiting.

Jon saw him. "Magister Tennyson...is everything ok?"

Max nodded. "Everything is fine, Mitchell. I just need to talk to you."

Jon agreed and the two walked down the hall.

Max explained. "Our recent prisoner, Rojo, wants to talk to you."

Jon was confused. "Why me?"

Max said. "That's what I was asking. Tomorrow, I want you to interrogate her, talk to her. So far, she's said nothing to us and only wants to speak to you."

Jon took a deep breath and nodded. "Fine..I'll go in there in the morning. For now, I need to get cleaned up and get some food. That crazy bitch drained my energy. Let me know if anything changes." Jon said as he walked off.

Max nodded and went back to his duties.

Elsewhere in the base, Ben finally got on some normal clothes. It wasn't anything too fancy. A black t-shirt with a white stripe, with some green pants. He put on some green sneakers and a black jacket.

His lovers whistled and were in love all over again. He was handsome before but now…holy cow.

He looked bulkier and his scars just added to it. He wore a glove over his exposed cybernetic hand and put a fake lense over his robotic eye. As to appear a bit more normal.

Ben straightened his clothes and looked at the girls. "How do I look?"

Looma smiled. "Like a brand new man...but still the same we fell in love with."

Ester sighed. "Though, your buzz cut will take some getting used to. I miss the long hair."

Ben chuckled. "Don't worry. It'll grow back. Mom always said it never stayed short for long."

Hope giggled. "I rather like your short hair. Adds to the bad boy charm." She held Ben's arm.

Ben was flustered at the compliments and looked almost as red as Looma's skin.

Evie giggled at her daddy.

Ben then turned his attention to Evie and the Omnitrix. "Well…looks like I missed a good bit. Azmuth has been busy."

This reminded Evie. "Oooo I almost forgot. Papa, Azmuth said for you to go see him when you can. He has something for you." The little girl shined.

Ben nodded. "Ya...I bet he has a lot to say to me."

Shar rubbed Ben's shoulders. "Do you need any of us to accompany you, love?"

Ben shook his head. "No. It's probably best I go alone. But that's all for later. Right now, I have some catching up to do."

Helen chuckled. "Oh yes you do. But we'll save it for tonight." Her tail touched Ben's lower back.

Ben blushed. "Helen, not in front of the kids." He said smirking at Looma.

Looma said. "Has it really become that obvious?" She said as she looked at her baby bump, feeling a bit insecure.

Ben held her hand. "Yes but in a good way. You're having our baby and I couldn't be happier." He smiled.

Looma beamed and pulled Ben into a hug, almost choking him.

The others laughed.

Evie was esactic about being a big sister. She bounced on her toes.

Once Ben was free, he then made a suggestion. "I don't know about you all..but I'm dying for a smoothie and some chili fries."

Attea chuckled. "There's our Benny Boo."

The girls walked out the room with Ben carrying his little girl on his back.

In Space…

Agreggor groaned as he woke up in what appeared to be a yellow containment field. He looked around and saw there were others like his.

In these cages were different villains. All of Ben's most fearsome foes. Dr. Animo, Zombozo, The Circus Freaks, which consisted of Acid Breath, Thumbskull and Frightwig, The Forever King. Even Captain Nemesis and Kangaroo Comando were there.

Animo got up. "Where are we?"

Frightwig beat on the cell but got zapped.

Driscoll, the Forever King, examined the cell. "These are some kind of containment fields. But…why are we here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" A gruff voice said.

The villains looked and in a large cell was Ben's biggest enemy: Vilgax.

Vilgax growled. "We're being kept as experiments."

The door to the room they were in opened and in walked a freshly rebuilt Malik.

Nemesis looked in shock. "But how? You were destroyed by that wretched brat, Tennyson."

Malik chuckled. "That was merely a spare. I had to see what he could do. And it did not disappoint."

Vilgax snarled. "Why do you keep us?"

Malik levitated to Vilgax. "I have plans for you all. More like a deal. If you help, you will all be rewarded."

This got everyone's attention.

Animo asked. "What is it you have in mind?"

Malik smirked. "To kill Ben Tennyson."

Authors Notes

And that's Chapter 14. Ben is finally home. I'm sorry it wasn't my best but I promise it will get better. I just got my writing muse back. Ben and Slade fight was similar to Raiden and Sam from Metal Gear Rising But I have plans going forward with this. Ben will be getting something new as Evie now has the Omnitrix. And next chapter, Ben will be settling back in. It's going to be awesome. And if you're wondering what his voice sounds like, he is now voiced by Troy Baker instead of Yuri Lowenthal. He sounds a lot like Baki or Arkham Knight Jason Todd. Hope you all enjoyed the chapter!!!
