"Well, you know how you guys had "The Great War?"
"Of course, it's one of the first things I learnt about as a General, why do you ask?" Ironwood answered.
"Imagine that, but with more death and entire cities being destroyed in minutes,"
The theatre would pause in terror at this, even those in Salem's faction sans Tyrian would shiver at this "What could be more deadly than the Great War?" they'd all think to themselves.
Ruby would be the first to speak up "W-what do you mean by entire cities being destroyed?" She'd ask, hoping the man was joking.
"Exactly what you think I mean, cities would be bombed, populations would be killed, it was terrible," Slays would answer, making Ruby sit in spooked silence.
"By the way, before we get into this, the people from the reality that this takes place in are all gonna be replaced by you lot. So while Ruby in here might be a nice girl, she might an evil, racist dictator hellbent on killing populations based on her own prejudices, Salem might be a dead revolutionary instead of an evil god thingy, etc, etc,"
The cast would sit in confusion, but would eventually nod, getting what the man was trying to say.
Salem would be confused at the man's statement, while Ruby would shiver in fear at the thought of her doing that, Yang would put a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry, Sis, while you might be evil in there," She'd point to the Screen. "You'll always be good in here," She'd point to Ruby's heart.
"T-thanks, Yang,"
"No worries, Sis!"
"By the way, considering you're all about to see some mega fucked shit, I'm gonna bring someone back. Skiddadle Skiday, stop being dead Magnet Waifu," Slays said.
Suddenly Pyrrha would just pop back into existence, making the entire theatre stare in utter shock.
"P-Pyrrha!" Jaune would say, running towards the girl.
"Jaune! It's you!" Pyrrha would declare.
"Jaune could you tell her what's going on?" Slays would ask.
"O-okay," Jaune would say, explaining what they were about to watch, making Pyrrha look as scared as the rest of the theatre.
"Before we start, you should also learn how this world works, instead of four kingdoms, there's hundreds of different countries in my world most of them have different languages, currencies, leaders etc,"
The theatre would be astonished at this, that amount of languages and nations both scared and intrigued them.
Jerry the Monkey would start the film and the theatre would prepare to see one of the most important events in Slays' world's history.
World War II in 39 minutes
The audience would shiver at the fact that this was the second "World War".
There'd be trumpets playing while a scene of horses and soldiers walking down a street, which would then cut to a man in a German military uniform, complete with a helmet with that spike on it saluting at the camera
"Nice helmet," Coco commented.
"I know right? It's called a Picklehaube, I believe, traditional German thing,"
The black bar at the bottom of the screen would say "Nov 1918 - End of World War I Germany signs the treaty of Versailles (1919).".
"What's this "Treaty of Versailles?" A curious Salem asked.
"It was the German terms of surrender for World War I, they had to: Shrink their Military down, demilitarize a part of their own country and a pay a huge amount of money they didn't have," Slays would answer.
"So, once they won they decided to weaken this "Germany", how cruel," Salem would think to herself.
The bottom of the screen would say "Germany's economic sanctions: 132 billion marks," While a woman could be heard singing in German in the background
"That's way too much money!" Weiss complained.
"Yes, yes it was, but the winners of World War I did it anyway,"
It would show citizens walking around, driving in old cars, shopping and generally doing civilian things while the black bar would read "1918-1933 - The Weimar Republic"
It would then show the people panicking, running around the streets, what looked like police attacking civilians with "Oct 1929 - The Great Depression. Largest worldwide economic depression in history"
"I'm sorry, but would you mind telling me why this "Great Depression" happened?" A nervous Glynda asked.
"They're getting to it," Slays answered.
"The Stock Market buckled and crashed, and the nations economy plummeted into the depression," A voice began explaining over footage of over-crowded streets. "By 1932 nearly one man out of four was unemployed, working men spent their days on park benches,"
The Black Bar would then read "Jan 1933 - Ruby Rose becomes Chancellor of Nazi Germany" Over footage of what looked like Ruby in her mid-twenties, wearing a brown suit on what looked like a pedestal putting her hand up in a salute, with someone on a lower pedestal doing the same.
"You know what I said about there being a universe where Ruby's an evil, racist dictator, this is that universe,"
Ruby would gulp at this.
"But, why would they just accept being under a dictator!?" Blake asked, angry and confused.
"They were hungry, and poor, they were willing to remove their freedoms in exchange for basic standards of living," Slays answered.
"As is human nature," Cinder thought to herself. "They got hungry, and weren't willing to starve," Ruby's name would appear in the corner of the Black Box and she would begin speaking while a crowd would be shown cheering, yelling "Heil".
"The Party will for all time to come represent the elite of political leadership in Germany," Ruby said, while footage of her doing the Nazi salute while riding an old car was shown.
People walking in an open space between crowds of people holding Nazi flags would be shown walking.
"It will be unchangeable in it's doctrine, hard as steel in its organizational tactics," A, now yelling Ruby declared, her arms crossed on her pedestal with two soldiers behind her, the people carrying the flags continuing to march.
"Supple and adaptable in its entity, it will be like a Holy Order!" Ruby declared, the people still heiling her, cutting to footage of planes flying overhead and Ruby smiling.
"Those are... very grandiose promises," Ironwood stated.
"And this Ruby believed in every single one of them, as did the Germans, they were willing to accept whatever would return them to their former glory," Slays explained.
"What is this "Former Glory?" Salem asked.
"Well, before World War 1, Germany used to be bigger than it was at this time, they had to give up territory post war which angered the German people,"
"July 1936-April 1939 - The Spanish Civil War" the Black Box would say, as footage of Spaniards grabbing guns and rations and soldiers marching; artillery pieces being towed on the streets would be shown..
"I assume there were more wars leading up to this "World War 2", I am correct?" Ozpin asked.
"Yeah, that's right, this part of history was still filled with wars, despite people calling the First World War the "War to end all wars,"
Qrow chuckled at this title.
A middle aged Maria Calavera appeared on the screen, wearing a greenish military uniform, her name would also appear in the corner of the screen.
"Hey, that's Maria," Pietro stated.
"Who's that?" Slays would ask.
"She's just someone I know,"
"Cool, in this I guess she's a general that became the dictator of Spain for awhile, luckily she doesn't participate in the actual World War 2, most of the participants of World War 2 actually used the Spanish Civil war as a testing ground for tactics,"
"That's... actually a pretty good idea," Ironwood stated, noting that for later.
"As of now, Spain fulfils its provincial duty," Maria began, while people marching with Spanish flags would be shown, with Maria and other people in military garb, saluting. "Like in the past, it spills its blood in defence of civilization,"
"Who won the Spanish Civil War?" Salem asked.
"The Nationalists, i.e. the side that Maria is on," Slays explained
The black box would read, "Jul 1937 - The Second Sino Japanese War begins", showing Chinese people running away from Japanese planes dropping bombs on buildings, while screams would be heard.
The audience would look in horror of the bombs being dropped, seeing buildings being flattened in seconds.
"Shanghai has fallen to Japan," A voice declared, before footage of a map of Asia, with Japan coloured in red would be shown. "Before the final terrific onslaught of Japan's mechanized army, China is forced to withdraw beyond the Tzu Chao creek and Japan controls all the native sections of the sixth largest city," The man continued, while more of the map would begin to turn red. "These pictures show the final street to street and hand to hand battle, the house to house advance behind a smokescreen, the tanks snorting ahead through the narrow streets." The man would say over footage of a Japanese armoured car shooting and buildings falling apart and air raid sirens. "Aug-Nov 1937 - The Battle of Shanghai Casualities - Japan: 18'000, China: 187'000." The black box would say.
Being the first time a causality count was shown the theatre would be shocked at all the deaths, especially on the Chinese side.
"B-but why? Why would anyone do this?" A confused Tai asked.
"Japan wanted more natural resources, which China had," Slays would simply answer.
"The strong take from the weak," Raven would think to herself.
"March 1938 - Anschluss Austria is annexed by Germany" The black box would read, while footage of German soldiers marching through the streets of Austria, with a crowd waving Nazi flags would be shown..
"Could you please tell me why Germany is taking over random countries?" An angry sounding Glynda asked.
"Well, both Austria and Germany spoke German, and this Ruby wants to united all the German people under one nation. The other nations of Europe i.e. Britain and France attempted to stop another war by just letting Germany annex certain lands," Slays explained.
"So, they weaken this nation and then refuse to stop it from just taking land?" Salem asked.
"Pretty much, yeah, although Britain and France weren't really ready for war at this time, so they felt that they had to appease Ruby for the time being,"
"When the Fuhrerin assumed power, an impoverished and humiliated Germany becomes a major power," A voice explained, over footage of Ruby walking up some stairs, and then conversing with what looked like an older, bald Torchwick wearing a grey military uniform.
"Is that me?" Torchwick asked.
"Yeah, you became the dictator of Italy a good two decades or so before the war even starts, also you started balding in your 20s and just kinda rolled with it," Slays explained
Torchwick smirked to himself at him essentially owning a country. "Bald" Neo jokingly signed at Torchwick, making the man sigh.
"The Third Reich is established. Austria joins the Reich." The man would explain over German soldiers holding what looked like a plank. "The Sudetenland is liberated," The man continued over Klein Sieben waving around a peace of paper. "The Reichprotectorate of Bohemia and Moravia is established,"
"Is that, Klein?" Weiss asked.
"Who's Klein?" Ruby would ask Weiss,"
"He's my Butler, he's a very colourful man," She'd say, happily.
The Box would read "Sept 1938 - The Munich Agreement Ruby marches into Czechoslovakia" over footage of people waving Nazi flags, while German soldiers would march.
"Another Country? At this point they're just handing over free land to them!" An outraged Glynda declared.
"They pretty much were, although they were only supposed to annex the border region of Czechoslovakia, instead they took over the Czech part of it, gave some of the Slovakian part to Hungary and then puppeted the rest," Slays explained. The screen would then show Cinder wearing a grey uniform saluting at the camera, along with a few other people. The box would read Aug 23 1939 - German Soviet Nonaggression Pact. "Look, ma'am it's you!" Emerald pointed out.
"I can see, but what am I doing here?"
"You're the leader of the Soviet Union, which used to be lead by Salem before she got old and died of a stroke, to which you took over," Slays explained.
"Hmm, impressive," Cinder would think.
Both Salem and Ozpin's inner circles were confused that Salem appeared to die in this universe and in a relatively normal way too.
"Von Vasilias leaving Berlin for Moscow ushers in a new, incomprehensible chapter in German diplomacy," Someone declared while footage of an older Neptune shaking hands with an older Mercury would play, before the two would sit down around a table, seemingly to discuss this nonaggression pact. "What can Russia have in common with Germany, to throw over the peace front if she had?" The voice asked.
"Look bro, it's you," Sun would tell Neptune.
"Yeah, older me looks pretty good,"
Mercury would smirk at the older version of himself. "Still lookin' good," He'd think to himself.
Air raid sirens would be going off with footage of Polish people looking around confused, with German planes being shown flying overhead, dive bombing buildings before the Box would read Sept 1 - Germany invades Poland.
"Here's where the main part of World War 2 begins and where the appeasement of Germany had ended," Slays darkly said.
The crowd would look on in horror, as they knew from what Slays had described that this was going to be far worse then their Great War.
"Unless we heard from them, by 11 o'clock, that they were at once prepared to withdraw their troops from Poland, a state of war would exist between us. I have to tell you now, no such undertaking had been received and, consequently, this country is at war with Germany," Klein explained, a train taking off in the background while footage of newspapers. The black box would then read Britain, France, Australia and Canada declare war on Germany.
Footage of men in German and Soviet military uniforms shaking hands would play, while the black box would read Sept 17 1939 - The Soviet Union invades Poland.
The audience would be confused at the Soviet invasion.
"A secret part of Germany and the Soviet's non aggression pact was that they would split Poland between the two of them, so the Soviets invaded Poland," Slays explained.
"Interesting, I suppose this is the Soviet's entry into the war?" Salem would comment.
"No, The Allies were only willing to attack Germany,"
"By invitation of the Soviet government, to discuss the events in Poland," A man began speaking. "German minister of Foreign Affairs Von Vasilias arrived in Moscow, he was met by the deputy commissar of foreign affairs staff members of the commissariat and the German embassy,"
The black box would read Sept 1939 - The Battle of the Atlantic begins.
"This is the main Naval part of the war, although its a surprise that the German Navy held out for as long as it did," Slays stated.
"I assume it wasn't a good navy?" Ironwood said.
"It was an alright Navy, but it wasn't enough to invade Britain, although they didn't really focus on invading Britain, but the thing's getting to that," Slays said.
"The target has been spotted, an armed British merchant ship," A man said while a submarine would launch a torpedo at the ship. "The enemy ship can't escape the fate it deserves," A small alarm would play, and the man would continue speaking. "Course North-West! A convoy has been spotted. Throughout several days of fighting, many more ships would be sunk," The man continued over footage of ships on the ocean, and then footage of the Atlantic Ocean, with red spots dotted on it. "The Battle of the Atlantic continues," The man declared
"So, that was their plan, attack their shipping and make the enemy starve; smart, if a little cruel," Ozpin stated.
The black box would show Nov-March 1939-1940 - The Winter War, with footage of snow-covered tanks driving ahead and soldiers dressed in all white shooting.
"Winter War?" Glynda questioned.
"It's where the Soviets tried to take over Finland, which despite the Soviet's numerical superiority, managed to hold them off," Slays explained.
Ruby would smile at this, while Cinder would be fuming that the nation that she appeared to lead was losing to a country that small.
"Yes, Finland fights on in her great struggle for freedom, and her gallant troops actually push back the invaders to the Russian border; actually during this particular raid the Farmers dealt with many congregations, all this in a temperature thirty degrees below."
"They fought in weather that cold?" Weiss asked.
"Yes, it was one of the reasons they manged to hold back the Soviets." Slays explained. Ironwood made a small mental note of what he'd learnt so far.
The black box would read Oct-June 1939-1940 - Soviet invasion of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, showing footage of Cinder, a detailed map of Estonia appearing in the corner.
"They invaded more and the Allies did nothing?" A livid Glynda asked.
"Well at this point, the Allies were tied up with Germany, there weren't even any real battles, they just kinda took the countries." Slays explained.
"I suppose it's only fair, I'm sure they wouldn't want to make another enemy," Ozpin stated taking a sip from his coffee.
The black box would read April 9th 1940 - Germany invades Denmark and Norway, with footage of German ships and eventually German paratroopers being seen.
Ironwood would make a mental note of the Paratroopers, he needed to try that out!
"Why Denmark and Norway?" Salem asked.
"Germany got iron ore from neutral Sweden, which went through neutral Norway, so they decided to cut out the Middle Man and just invade Norway, they invaded Denmark so they could invade Norway easier, once they had lost Norway, Klein had decided to resign from being Prime Minister of Britain," Slays explained.
Salem would chuckle at this, while Weiss would look disheartened at Klein resigning.
Yang's name would appear in the corner of the screen. "We don't want to just fight better than previous generations," She'd begin explaining over footage of German soldiers marching and someone refitting a medal on one of the soldier's chest. "We want to produce future generations to ensure the eternal life of the German People," She'd continue over footage of Ruby doing the Nazi salute and German soldiers marching with flags while Erika would begin playing.
"Oh, I'm also in this." Yang said, less than enthused.
"You're the leader of this Germany's Secret Police force/Paramilitary thing,"
"Oh, wonderful." She'd say grumpily.
A German soldier would smile at the camera and footage of tanks would be shown, while the black box would read "May 10 1940 - The Battle of France begins Germany invades Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Belgium and France."
Ruby would gawk at the huge tank, while Coco would stop herself from commenting on the uniforms.
Glynda would be silently angry at all the new combatants.
The Black box would read "May 12-15 1940 - The Battle of Sedan The Blitzkrieg outflanks the Maginot line." Over footage of a bunker being burnt, while Erika would begin to fade out.
"What's this "Blitzkrieg?" Ironwood asked.
"It's a military tactic where you concentrate a large amount of force on a singular point in order to break through enemy lines and then surround them. It's good as long as you can keep your momentum," Slays explained.
Ironwood made yet another note of that.
An animated map showing Western Europe slowly becoming red, with a flag with the Nazi eagle sticking out of Europe would be shown as Erika would fade out.
"I suppose Germany won the Battle of France?" Ozpin assumed.
"Yeah and in six or so weeks France wasn't ready for what Germany's new tactic," Slays explained, an annoyed look in his eyes.
The audience, especially Glynda's hearts would collectively sink at the fact that France had seemingly been beaten incredibly easily.
A plane would fly down and bomb a ship, while the black box would say "May 26-June 4 1940 - Dunkirk evacuation." "Out from the hell that is Dunkirk, back to the steel thrust from the German war machine comes the BEF. They're worn out and footsore, they're hungry, for weeks they have been shelled and bombed from three sides, they had to stagger back to the sea to survive; they were betrayed, but never defeated or dispirited," A man explained over footage of British troops in boats, one smoking a cigarette.
"So, these British left the moment they started losing, how cowardly." Raven would think to herself.
Footage of the Bald Torchwick from earlier would be shown, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest while the black box would say "June 10 1940 - Italy attacks France" before cutting to a crowd of people cheering, some holding helmets on sticks, his name appearing in the corner. "We go to battle, against the plutocratic and reactionary democracies of the west. People of Italy, hurry to your weapons!" He said over footage of the Italian army, navy and several Italian planes.
"So, it appears you're also in this," Cinder said to Roman.
"So it does, hey Slays, how do I do during this?" Roman asked the Crusader.
"Your country does terribly,"
"Oh." A now less enthusiastic Roman said, while Neo pulled out a sign saying "*womp womp*".
"June 25 1940 - Fall of France Casualties - Allies: 360'000 Germany: 27'000" the black box would say over footage of German tanks driving, German soldiers marching, the Nazi flag being raised and Ruby seemingly being toured around Paris. "The defeat of France was caused by a superior mechanical force." Jaune Arc declared, his name appearing in the corner. "The overwhelming actions of such mechanical force has led to the collapse of the morale of the command and the government."
"*Gasp* Renny, fearless leader is in this!" Nora stated.
"I suppose he is." Ren said, chuckling at Nora's antics. "What is Jaune's purpose in this?"
"He's the leader of the resistance movement that got started after Germany occupied France, he actually did his job pretty well, especially by your Jaune's standards."
Jaune was slightly disheartened at the remark, while Pyrrha blushed thinking about this version of Jaune.
"Sept 9 1940 - Italy invades Egypt The North African theatre begins" The black box would read, over footage of British-African soldiers marching through the desert.
The theatre would be less surprised at another theatre of the war starting, although not any less concerned.
"Italian troops, under the command of Marquis Pietro Polendina have attacked the English in Africa." Someone announced over footage of people loading artillery guns and eventually a map of North Africa with red circles and arrows dotting the area in and around Egypt.
"Father, look, they said your name!" Penny excitedly stated.
"It appears I am, Penny, what's my job in this?"
"You're the governor of the Italian Colony of Libya." Slays stated.
Footage of a Japanese ship would be shown while the black box would say "Sep 22 1940 - Japan invades French Indochina Chinese supply lines are disrupted." Before a large crowd of Japanese soldiers would be shown conversing, one walking in a gap between the rest, before footage showing a line being drawn to a map of French Indochina, making the land turn red.
"It appears this Japan is more important then we think." Ozpin stated.
"You have no idea." Slays said.
"In China, the forces of President Lie Ren, or the Nanking general are gathering to resist the Japanese. The warlords of China, who for years have fought each other are rallying against the alien invader." A man announced the current situation of the Sino-Japanese War, with a far older, balding Ren being shown on a stage announcing something, while a Chinese man, presumably a warlord would be talking to the camera, then the video would cut to a large Chinese crowd running around the street.
"Renny it's you!" Nora excitedly pointed out.
"It appears so, although I look far older."
Nora would get flustered over the older Ren.
The video would then cut to three signs over a 3D map, all with pictures of the leader's of the Major Axis Powers with their names at the bottom and their flags at the top. Ruby Rose for Germany, Roman Torchwick for Italy, and Blake Belladonna, wearing an ungodly amount of medals for Japan. With the black box reading "Sept 27 - The Tripartite Pact."
Blake would look in surprise at her being the supposed leader of Japan.
"Blake is the "Empress" of Japan in this, she doesn't have any real power though." Slays stated. Blake would still be shocked that this version of herself wasn't doing anything about the current war.
The video would then show Ruby, Roman and Fennec Albian in a room, with Roman walking up to Fennec and shaking his hand, while Ruby would stand there heiling behind the bald man. "The Fuhrerin and the foreign minister of Japan got together for a lengthy discussion. The talks focused on political issues and were held in the spirit of goodwill, uniting Germany and Japan." A voice explained over footage of several Japanese men walking down a hallway, the German and Japanese flag side by side and a crowd of people heiling to a pedestal.
"While Germany and Japan were allies, they didn't actually join the war against Europe." Slays explained.
"Seem like some pretty useless allies to me." Qrow declared.
Blake would be concerned at Fennec and perhaps the White Fang as a whole being in this universe.
"Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria join the Axis" the black box would read, followed with a picture of Penny and Ruby in a car together representing Hungary. A group of people standing for a photo representing Romania, and a picture of an older Raven for Bulgaria.
"Alright, lightning round, Penny leads Hungary, I have no idea who those people in the middle are but they have something to do with Romania, and Raven is the Tsarina of Bulgaria, i.e. the Queen." Slays explained.
Raven smirked to herself about her royal status, while Penny was excited at her being included in the video.
The screen would then cut to a map of Europe, with a swastika over it and the parts that Germany controls being coloured red; arrows pointing from France to Britain. British Grenadiers began to play. Men would be shown running out of a train, putting on life vests, a plane would be shown flying while shooting down a German plane which would fall into the ocean, with the black box stating July-Oct 1940 - Battle of Britain.
"It seems instead of trying to attack by sea, they're trying to dominate them in the air, how interesting," Ozpin commented.
An older, greying Glynda would be shown putting on a hat in front of a group or marching soldiers, before her name would appear in the corner. "We shall fight, with growing confidence and growing strength in the air! We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be." Glynda declared.
"Glynda's the Prime Minister of Britain in this, they have a king but he can't do much, so the Prime Minister does most of the governing stuff for him." Slays explained
"Hm, I suppose Glynda would be a good fit for the job of a stateswoman." Ozpin declared.
"I'm flattered, Ozpin."
"We shall fight on the beaches." She'd continue over footage of British ships.
"We shall fight on the landing grounds." She'd say over footage of British spotters with large beacons pointing at the sky.
"We shall fight in the fields, and in the streets." She'd say over footage of a British soldier shooting a gun and then to some British soldiers putting out a fire.
"We shall fight in the hills. We shall never surrender!" She'd declare over footage of British soldiers climbing over a slope.
The black box would then read "Casualties RAF: 1500 aircraft 1800 pilots, Luftwaffe: 2000 aircraft 1600 pilots," with footage of both German and British planes showing.
The crowd would be relieved at this Glynda's confidence.
"Their plan for domination of the skies appears to have failed, this Glynda is fortunately right," Ironwood commented.
The video would cut to Roman wearing a black fez cap with an eagle on it, saluting with the black box reading "Oct-April 1940-1941 - The Greco Italian War."
Slays chuckled before asking. "Remember what I said about Italy not being so good during this war?"
"Yeah, I remember," Roman answered.
"This is a good example of that, Italy managed to get pushed back by Greece of all countries!"
Roman would become disheartened making Cinder and Neo let out a small snicker.
Italian soldiers were be shown marching, before someone would begin speaking. "Meanwhile, our troops march into combat for the liberation of Albania from the terrorific Greek government." Before footage of an Italian soldier loading and firing some artillery, before the black box would state Casualties Italy: 102'000 Greece: 58'000.
Roman would become even more disheartened at the incredibly large difference of casualties between the two nations. "Ouch" Neo signed at Roman.
"March 12 1941 - The Afrika Korps land in North Africa The Siege of Tobruk begins." The black box would read over footage of German soldiers and tanks driving down a street. Winter Schnee's name would appear in the corner of the screen. "Difficult fighting ensued at Ras el Madauer." She'd state with footage of her overlooking a car driving in the desert. "Conditions were almost comparable with Verdun, but the German soldier and their Italian allies survived these hard times, warding off evert attempt." She'd state over footage of German and British tanks fighting, and then footage of a map with red arrows pointing from Germany and Italy to North Africa.
"Hey, that's Winter!" Weiss said.
"Is she your sister?" Ruby asked.
"Yes, she's my eldest sister."
Ruby would do a small celebration in her head on her being right. "She's also a specialist in the Atlesian military, she's very good at her job, no wonder she appears to be a military leader in this," Ironwood stated, making Weiss smile to herself.
The black box would read "Germany invades Yugoslavia Yugoslavs, Greeks, British and the ANZAC surrender, over footage of soldiers fighting in the streets."
"It appears Germany is adding more countries to their body count," Ozpin stated.
"All of our children who are still at home, think continually of our friends and relations," A Prince Oscar would state, his name appearing in the corner. "Who have gone overseas, who have travelled thousands of miles to find a war time home, and a kindly welcome in:
"Canada." He stated, showing a picture of Doctor Oobleck.
"Australia." A picture of an older Velvet would appear.
"New Zealand." A picture of an older Fox would show up.
"South Africa." A picture of Sage would appear.
"And the United States of America." Finally, a picture of Ironwood would appear.
"During the war, children would be sent off to other countries in order to avoid the war, all of these countries excluding America are all under the control of Britain, all of the pictures who are on the screen are all the leader's of their respective countries,"
"Nice job dude!" Sun would celebrate with Sage, making the larger man and his team cheer.
"Yay, my little Bun-bun's a leader, I knew you could do it," Coco said, making Velvet blush.
"Oobleck leading a country is a terrifying thought." Glynda said to herself.
Taiyang as a father seemed happy that children weren't being forced to experience the horrors of war first hand.
German tanks would be shown driving down some grass before a map showing Nazi German controlled areas with the German flag, a moment later the Soviet Controlled areas would light up with the Soviet flag.
"June 22 1941 - Operation Barbarossa The Axis powers invade the Soviet Union" the black box would read over footage of yet more German tanks.
The video would then show a map of Europe, with the large parts of the Soviet Union that Germany has captured being shown burnt, stats showing the strength of both armies.
The theatre would sit in shocked silence at viewing what seemed like the German's winning.
"From the North Cape to the Black Sea, the Wehrmacht is defending Europe by land, sea and air,." A man explained over footage of German tanks and soldiers. "Side by side with Romanian and Finnish troops, Italy and Slovakia are also participating on a front wider than 2400 kilometres,"
The theatre's fear and concern would grow at the German belief, and the size of the front.
"Sept 8 1941 - The Siege of Salemgrad begins" the black box would read over footage of buildings being burnt and destroyed and a map showing Germany taking more and more land from the Soviet Union with Salemgrad and Moscow being labelled. "Located deep underground is the command post of coastal defence, a message was sent: "'the enemy is in the city outskirts,'"
"How long was this siege?" Ironwood asked, fearful of what looked even more like a German victory.
"About 4 years of day in day out fighting, the Soviets were brave sons of bitches," Slays would commend.
"Sept-April 1941-1942 - The Battle of Moscow" the black box read over footage of snow covered tanks and a group of soldiers, one at the front carrying the Soviet flag.
"Thankfully, the Germans didn't win this battle, although they had still captured huge swathes of land from the Soviets," Slays explained.
The audience would feel a small amount of relief in them.
"Utter destruction to the German invaders, death to the German armies of occupation!" Cinder said to a large crowd. "Long live our motherland, her freedom and independence. Under the banner of Salem, onward to victory!" The black box would then read "Causalities, Soviet: 1'030'000 German: 175'000."
The crowd, especially Cinder would be fearful of the large amount of casualties, especially the large gap between the numbers.
A close up map of Europe once appear, showing a casualty figure of 6.5 million in the Soviet Union, the parts owned by German being highlighted by their flag, with only Britain and Ireland not being somewhat highlighted before the map would fly over to the US, showing that 76% of people demand neutrality.
The crowd's hearts would collectively sink further at the high casualties and the amount of land that the Nazis owned, fearful of there being a chance that they could win, but mild relief over the fact that Britain was still standing.
Glynda would be slightly relieved that at least one country didn't want war.
Air raid sirens would go off, and it'd be shown that it was 7:55 AM at the time, the camera moving to Hawaii. The black box read "Dec 7 1941 - Attack on Pearl Harbour", showing footage of Japanese planes being readied for the attack and flying over the harbour
"Here's where Japan comes in, they suddenly attacked the US so that they could invade Asia for yet more resources." Slays explained.
Blake would be angry at the video's version of herself for seemingly doing nothing about this.
"December 7th 1941, a day which will live in infamy. The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked, by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan," James Ironwood announced, sounding mildly angered over footage of unprepared ships being blown up and crowds of Americans walking around the streets. Cutting to a map of the US, which would then fly over to a map of Japan and the surrounding area, with the island being coloured in with its flag.
The audience would be in shock at just how large the war had become.
"Dec 8 1941 - Japan invades the Philippines" the black box read, showing more footage of Japanese planes and soldiers. "100 Million Japanese are now called upon to completely devote and sacrifice themselves to the country" Adam Taurus announced, his name appearing in the corner. "As long as we all preserve this patriotic loyalty to the imperial goal of peace throughout the world. We will fear neither the Americans nor the British." He'd continue over footage of Japanese ships and yet more soldiers saluting and marching, while a Japanese war song would begin playing.
Blake would be scared at the inclusion of Adam, causing Yang to give her a comforting pat on the shoulder.
The rest of the theatre would be scared at just how willing these Japanese seemed to be to die for their country, if what this Adam had said is anything to go by.
"Dec 1941 - Japan invades Guam, Thailand and Hong Kong" the black box would announce over footage of Japanese soldiers running on a beach.
"Jan 1942 - Japan invades Burma and the Dutch East Indies" the black box announced over footage of Japanese soldiers cheeting.
"Feb 1942 5-7 - Battle of Singapore British, Indian and Australian forces surrender" the black box would continue, cutting to the large amount of land that Japan had managed to capture, the Japanese war song fading out.
Yet more fear would wash over the theatre.
"That means, clearly and specifically, that every human being in this country whether he or she likes it, is at the service of the government to work in the defence of Australia!" Velvet announced over footage of people inside ships.
Coco patted Velvet on the back for her speech, making the woman get flustered.
"May 1942 - Second Battle of Kharkov." The black box read over a German tank firing. "The Bolsheviks begin to abandon their positions and surrender, in endless columns the prisoners stream to the assembly area. The number reaches nearly a quarter of a million," A man would say over a German soldier explaining something to a group of Soviet POWs.
"The black box would read June 4-7 1942 - Battle of Midway", over footage of ships and a plane being destroyed. "The Japs had carefully planned this sneak attack, they gambled all and lost." A man explained. "4 Japanese battleships, possibly 3 cruisers, 3 transports and 1 destroyer were sunk, the battle of Midway became America's outstanding success; one that may decisively change the balance of striking power in the Western Ocean,"
"It appears that The Allies have begun to at least somewhat win," Ozpin stated.
The black box would read "Aug 23 1942 - The Battle of Fallgrad" begins over footage of Soviet soldiers and tanks preparing for battle around the city. "This is not the first time our people has had to deal with an arrogant invader," Mercury stated over to footage of the huge battle. "In the time of Napoleon's march on Russia, our people retaliated in the Fatherland War. Napoleon was defeated, facing his demise," Mercury would state over a map of Fallgrad, which would then cut to the Caucuses, showing oil fields. Two pictures would then appear, one of Ruby and one of Cinder, both with their names on it.
"Oct-Nov 1942 - The Second Battle of El Alamein." The black box read over footage of smoke and soldiers in the desert. "We will stand right here if we can't stay here alive, then let us stay here dead." Peter Port confidently stated over footage of planes and tanks. "I want to impress on everyone that the bad times are over, they are finished; our mandate from the Prime Minister is to destroy the Axis forces in North Africa, I have seen it written on half a sheet of notepaper. It can be done and it will be done!" He would continue over footage of more arrows pointing from Italy and Germany to Africa, with two signs, one of Port and one of Winter popping up over British controlled Africa and Iraq.
"Hm, Port seems to be a general in this and a confident one at that." Ironwood stated.
"Yeah, he was good at military and terrible at basically everything else." Slays explained.
Glynda would shudder at the thought of Port in any real position of authority.
"Nov 8-10 1942 - Operation Torch." The black box read over footage of soldiers landing on a beach. "Consolidating their positions, United States mechanized units move quickly to cut railway lines and highways." A man would begin. "To join United States forces in the North-West with the British in Libya, when the United Nations hold North Africa; The Axis will be open to attack from Sicily to Murmansk." He'd continue over footage of Ironwood and Glynda shaking hands in what looked like a boat, and animated footage of arrows pointing to the parts of North-West Africa where the Americans had landed.
"Feb 9 1943 - The Allies capture the island of Guadalcanal." The black box read over footage of machine gun fire in a thick forest. "Those are regular army troops landing on a Guadalcanal beach, to relieve the marines who made such a successful blitz on the Japanese." A man would state over said troops covered in vines, one throwing a grenade and most of them firing.
The audience felt themselves becoming relieved at the Allied victories.
The screen would then show a map of the USSR, with Fallgrad being labelled. "Feb-2 1943 - Soviet victory at Fallgrad Largest battle in history" The black box read over footage of both people and tanks in the snow, with a soldier raising the Soviet flag Casualties, USSR: 1'130'000 Axis: 850'000.
The audience shuddered at the high casualty count, yet felt relieved at yet another victory against the Germans.
The screen would then show arrows going around a small patch of German controlled land, with arrows coming from the Soviet land next to it surrounding the pocket, with the label "Operation Uranus" at the bottom of the screen.
"Another Allied victory, I suppose?" Ironwood asked.
"Thankfully, yes, the Allies had started to begin getting major victories at this point." Slays stated.
The audience would let out a collective sigh of relief, maybe Germany wouldn't win this after all.
"Do you want total war?" Weiss yelled over footage of German graves and German people cheering. "If necessary do you want a war more total and radical than anything we can even yet imagine?" Yelled over footage of houses and tanks the cheering getting louder. "Now, people, rise out and let the storm break loose!"
Weiss would be in fear at her counterpart's speech, along with the audiences cheers at what she was suggesting, making Ruby put an arm on her shoulder to comfort her.
"Weiss is the propaganda minister of Germany in this," Slays stated.
The screen then showed the vast amount of territory that Japan controlled, with arrows labelled "US Forces" moving towards it, the video would then fly over to Europe, in which arrows from Britain and the Soviet Union would move towards Germany, the camera would then finally move to North Africa, showing North Africa.
"May 16 1943 - The Axis surrender in Tunisia End of the North African campaign" The black box read over British tanks driving down the desert and someone crawling on a tank with the Nazi flag painted on it. "The feat of arms performed by the superlative United Kingdom, Canadian and American combine, have been instremental in the disintegration of the Fascist regime, a trilogy which tore one tyrant from his tottering throne." A man stated over footage of a Red North Africa becoming Blue along with Sicily, showing that the Allies had finally won, at least in North Africa.
Cinder would be pleased at this version of Ruby's loss, while the rest of the theatre would still be happy at what was a major Allied victory.
The screen would then show the a map of Europe again, with German and Soviet lands being coloured in with their respective flag, focusing on the Kursk salient, showing arrows moving towards it, the camera would then cut to footage of a Soviet Tank, Soviet Planes and smoke on the Russian grass. "July-Aug 1943 - The Battle of Kursk Largest tank battle in history The black box read over footage of Soviet tanks firing. "Rose's goal is to dismember and destroy our forces located on the Kursk salient, the implementation of this plan would have opened the road to Moscow for the Germany." A man calmly explained over footage of artillery and more tanks firing, before a map of the battle would be shown, showing the German advance being stalled. "But the Soviet command unravelled the enemy's design." The man declared. "Casualties Germany: 200'00 - 1200 tanks USSR: 860'000 - 6000 tanks." The black box read.
The audience would once again be shocked at the disparity of casualties, but relieved at what was another Allied victory, especially Cinder, who was excited to see Ruby lose.
"Sept 3 1943 - Italy surrenders to the Allies." The black box read over footage of British soldiers marching, and tanks holding what seemed to be a parade. "A live grand strategy against the fortress of Europe is about to be revealed as British and Canadians begin to sail for the Italian mainland." A man declared. "Suddenly Torchwick, the sawdust thief is kicked out of power, his balcony empire collapsing." The man said over artillery being fired. "Jan-May 1944 - Battle of Monte Cassino." The black box then read.
"Ah, it appears Italy has decided to opt out of this conflict." Ozpin declared.
"They tried to, Germany invaded them shortly after and then put Torchwick back in charge, although everyone hated him at this point." Slays explained.
Torchwick became even more grumpy at him losing, while Neo would pat him on the back.
"Jan 27 1944 - End of the Siege of Salemgrad death toll: 1.5 million lives." The black box announced over footage of a parade in the city and Cinder sitting down with her generals, smiling. "One by one, our troops liquidated the defensive strongpoints of the enemy, the remaining German garrisons scattered in panic, abandoning their equipment, including tanks." A man explained over footage of tanks, both German and Soviet.
"Feb-Aug 1944 - Battle of Narva Casualties - USSR: 480'000 Axis: 68'000" The black box read over a soldier in the snow looking through binoculars.
Cinder and by extension the rest of the audience were happy at the Soviet victories.
Bagpipes would play, as arrows pointing from Great Britain to Normandy would be shown, with the five landing zones being labelled as gunshots could be heard and landing craft would then be shown landing on the beach, soldiers pouring out "June 6 1944 - Allied invasion of Normandy." The black box read. "Soldiers, sailors and airmen of the allied expeditionary force, you are about to embark upon the great crusade towards which we have driven these many months the eyes of the world are upon you; in company with our brave allies and brothers in arms on other fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine," Clover Ebi announced, over footage of the soldiers running up the beach and arrows pointing from Scotland to Normandy.
"June-Aug 1944 - Operation Bagration Casualties - USSR: 770'000 Germany: 450'000." The black box read over footage of Soviet Rocket Artillery and planes. "Glory to Fall's commanders! Glory to the victorious Red Army! Liberating our Soviet homeland from the German fascist invaders," A man stated, the footage cutting to arrows from the Soviet Union and the UK pointing to Germany.
"I suppose this is a turning point, the Germans are being pushed in from both sides," A relieved sounding Ozpin stated.
"June 19-20 1944 - Battle of the Philippine Sea." The black box read over carriers and battleships shooting. "24 Japanese ships are sunk, 34 probably sunk or disabled 200 enemy planes shot down; 30 to 40 percent of the Japanese Navy out of action," An excited sounding man said over a map of the Pacific, showing arrows pointing from Japan to the US and showing that the Japanese had only 55 ships in comparison to the US' 110.
"Another Naval victory, it's only a matter of time," Ironwood said to himself.
"Aug 23 1944 - King Qrow's Coup Romania joins the Allies." The black box read over footage of tanks firing at something and a picture of a very confident looking Qrow with his arms crossed appearing.
"The crushing pressure on Germany from Western Europe, The Balkans, Italy and Russia is steadily mounting," A man declared over footage of Romanian troops in the streets. "Bucharest, capital of Romania shows in these pictures how her citizens welcome the news of the relief of their country from the grip of the Nazis," He'd continue over footage of a parade in the city.
"Qrow as a king is a terrifying thing to think about," Glynda stated.
"Hey! At least I got Romania on the right side," Qrow stated.
The screen would then shoe a map of France, more and more of it becoming green France slowly being liberated step by step. "Aug 19-25 - Liberation of Paris." The black box read over a sign pointing to Paris down a street and a parade in the city. "At last, the great news spread, the French are here; now the last doubts vanish, the last fears disappear, everyone bursts with joy. In a few moments the streets turned into a festival, that cheers our valiant soldiers and their American comrades," A Frenchman said over footage of the large parade, complete with loud cheering.
The audience were celebrating in their heads at what was looking more and more like a German loss.
"April-Dec 1944 - Operation Ichi Go Japan controls mainland China." The black box read over footage of Japanese Tanks and Planes and eventually a small group of Japanese men, with Adam Taurus in the middle of them.
"Most of the world seems to have forgotten that there's still a war in the east, but not the Chinese," A man stated over footage of Japanese soldiers shooting artillery. "They know well and when they see Japanese troops on the horizon, they must fear the approach of death; when they hear the distant boom of bombardment and the roar of warplanes overhead, that destruction and horror are once again sweeping towards them,"
The audience felt their hearts once again sink, although not as much as before.
"Sept 17-25 1944 - Operation Market Garden" The black box read over paratroopers landing. "Operation Berlin (Market Garden), as Ebi called it is already over for these men; now the Allies know, the day set by Goodwitch for the German surrender, it will never come for them," A man stated over footage of planes being destroyed, and British troops surrendering.
"Despite their heavy losses, these Germans are oddly confident," Ozpin stated.
"They weren't willing to admit that they were losing the war at this point, they thought that they'd somehow pull out a victory," Slays explained.
"Aug-Oct 1944 - Warsaw Uprising" The black box read over German soldiers walking down the streets and houses being destroyed. "This is Warsaw calling, this is Warsaw broadcasting station of the Polskie Radio," A man called out, before footage of what looked like a palace being blown up was shown, a German soldier looking at this through binoculars, smiling. Warsaw is destroyed by the Wehrmacht. The black box read.
The audience was shocked at what the Germans were doing, why would they destroy an entire city? they thought to themselves
"Sept-Nov 1944 - Belgrade Offensive." The black box read over footage of soldiers and tanks in the streets and some soldiers shooting at something, rocket artillery firing "On this historic day, here in the streets of Belgrade," Nora declared. "The people of Serbia, the people of other parts of Yugoslavia, Croatia and Slovenia, and others resisted and said no, choosing war over a pact,"
"Look Renny, it's me!" Nora excitedly stated.
"It is, although I'm not sure what your role in this is." Ren replied.
"Nora's the leader of a Yugoslav resistance in this, she was pretty good at what she did," Slays explained.
"Oct 23-26 1944 - Battle of Leyte Gulf Largest naval battle in history" The black box read over footage of a large amount of ships, one being bombed and a plane flying overhead. "A few years ago, when I landed on your soil, I said 'people of the Philippines from whence I came, I shall return,'" Harriet Bree stated, a group of people making noises of agreement. "Tonight, I repeat those words," She'd continue, eliciting the same reaction from the group of people. The city of Manila is razed in battle The black box read, the destroyed city being shown.
The audience was happy at America's confidence, but shocked at what was happening to the areas that fighting was occurring in, Slays had been right, whole cities were being destroyed.
"Jan 1945 - Vistula Oder Offensive Soviet invasion of Poland and Germany" The black box read over more Soviet planes, soldiers and Tanks attacking. "The beginning of the war was hard for us, we suffered many military failures." Emerald Sustrai would state over footage of a large palace. "The enemy approached the heart of our Fatherland, Moscow expecting victory, but the Red Army launched a counter offensive clearing our Soviet land of the enemy and took the war into German territory" She'd continue, over footage of Cinder walking down a hall of clapping people, planes dropping bombs and yet more tanks. Auschwitz is liberated by the Red Army The black box said over a picture of the camp.
"Auschwitz was one of the many camps that were made to exterminate what the Nazis considered undesirables across the country," Slays stated, a grim look on his helmet.
The audience would be in shock at just how bad the Nazis were and felt happier that they were likely going to be beaten.
A map of France would once again be shown, showing more and more of it turning green, including Belgium and the Netherlands, before outlining the Siegfried line while Blood on the risers would begin playing showing paratroopers being prepared jump out and then showing a large amount of them coming from the sky. "Dec-Jan 1944-1945 Battle of the Bulge Casualties US: 90'000 Germany: 98'000 Collapse of the Wehrmacht in the West." The black box would say, signifying that the Germans were going to lose.
"Jan-Aug 1945 - Battle of Luzon Casualties US: 47'000 Japan: 214'000." The black box read over American soldiers fighting in the Jungle, the song fading out.
The audience did a small celebration in their heads, The Axis were going to be beaten, there was no doubt about it.
The three major allied leaders would be seen sitting next to each other. Glynda for Britain, Ironwood for America, and Cinder for the Soviet Union, before the black box said. "Feb 1945 - Yalta Conference." "The Crimean conference has come to an end, its results will affect the rapid completion of the defeat of Rose's Germany and the further joint work of creating a secure post-war peace." "Death of Ironwood, succeeded by Robyn Hill." The black box then read, a picture of an older Robyn in the corner.
"Can you tell me why this Conference is being held?" Ozpin asked.
"They decided to hold it so that they knew what they were going to do with Germany once they defeated them ahead of time," Slays explained.
The audience felt relieved at this fact.
Ironwood was surprised at his sudden death and his replacement by Robyn of all people.
"Torchwick is executed by Italian partisans." The black box read, while Italians would be shown cheering with a picture of Roman and Neo dead, being hung upside down would be shown.
"God, that's a little barbaric," Torchwick stated, while Neo would be spooked at seeing her own dead body.
"Maybe, but they did it anyway," Slays stated, shrugging.
"March 22 1945 - The Allies invade Germany" The black box would read over footage of tanks and soldiers going through the fields of Germany. "We passed over a destroyed land, utterly destroyed, those who have not seen it do not know what hell looks like from the top," Coco explained over footage of planes flying overhead and German cities being reduced to rubble from a bird's eye view. "That's what Germany looks like, that's what Austria looks like, what the eighth air force and third army whipped on looks like!" She'd continue.
A map would then show Germany being pushed in from both sides, while air sirens would play, the map would then move to Asia, Japan and their conquered territories would then be lit up in red, the pacific line being drawn.
"Feb-March 1945 - Battle of Iwo Jima." The black box said over a plane crashing itself into a ship and soldiers ducking. "To win this tiny 8 square mile area, 4000 of them have died and 20'000 Japanese, Iwo Jima has proven to be the toughest, bloodiest battle the Marines have ever fought," A man announce over footage of ships firing. April-June 1945 "Battle of Okinawa Casualties - US: 14'000 Japan: 110'000" The black box read again over footage of American soldiers climbing a hill and then to some of them holding a torn apart Japanese flag.
The audience was terrified at the Japanese's desperation to win, considering that they were willing to crash their planes into the enemy's ships.
"April-June 1945 - Battle of West Hunan Decisive Chinese victory" The black read over Ren along with several other Chinese generals walking down a street and footage of Japanese tanks. "Today, with our allies, our enemies have been defeated, but we do not want revenge, or insult their innocents; we shall only feel sorry for their idiotic acts, as they were fooled by the Fascism idea," Ren announced over Chinese soldiers loading up guns and what looked like an old Chinese man crying.
"April 30 1945 - Ruby Rose commits suicide" The black box read while Ruby would be seen patting the shoulder of a line of people in German military garb. "We will win, it is not Central Asia that will win, but Europe, led by this nation; which for 1500 years has defended and will continue to defend against the East,"
Despite how evil this version of Ruby was, everyone was surprised by the fact that she had committed suicide, especially Ruby, who had to remind herself that this Ruby was different.
Soviet tanks would be seen driving into Berlin and soldiers running into the city, before the black box read. "April 16-May 2 1945" - Battle of Berlin" "After stubborn resistance in the streets, the destruction of German troops in Berlin is complete; today, on the second of may the Red Army has completely captured the capital of Germany, Berlin!" A man announced over a soldier walking around with the Soviet flag, once the speech was done, soldiers could be heard yelling "Ura!" Casualties USSR: 81'000 Germany: 92'000
"May 8th 1945 - Victory in Europe" The black box read over a large crowd celebrating, taking down a Nazi flag and a man and woman dancing together. "Germany, the enemy who roped all of Europe into war, has been finally overcome," Ozpin, his name appearing as "King Ozpin" announced to the crowd, making them cheer, showing a Red Europe slowly become white. "Now we turn, to deal with our last remaining foe," He'd continue, the map flying over to Japan.
The audience would cheer along with the crowd, the war, at least in Europe was finally over.
"Aug 9 1945 - Soviet invasion of Manchuria." The black box stated over Soviet troops and tanks running in a field, before switching to arrows pointing from the Russian far east to Manchuria.
"Vishnu, is trying to persuade the prince and, to impress him, takes on his multi-armed form and says 'Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds,'" Arthur Watts said, over someone getting into a plane, a map of Japan would be shown, with Hiroshima lighting up, before the nuke would be shown being dropped on Japan, the flattened city would then be zoomed in on, nothing was left of it, just rubble.
"Aug 6-9 1945" - Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki Death toll estimates: 129'000 - 226'000.
The theatre would go silent at the destruction, before Ruby broke the silence.
"W-what was that?"
"That was a nuke, it's a bomb that can destroy a whole city in one go, they had to drop 2 of them onto Japan so that they would surrender." Slays explained.
The audience was terrified at this fact, that a weapon that destructive existed.
"Aug-15 1945 - Victory in the Pacific" The black box read over Japanese officers walking onto a ship. "We have ordered out government to communicate with the high commands of the United States, Great Britain, China and the Soviet Union," Blake, her name appearing as "Empress Belladonna" in the corner stated while a Japanese man would be seen signing a paper. "That our empire accepts the provisions of their joint declaration," She'd continue.
The audience was still horrified at the power of the destructive weapon, although they were at least relieved that the war was finally over.
"Nov 1945-Oct 1946 - The Nuremberg Trials" The black box read.
"What are these 'Nuremberg Trials?'" Ozpin asked, still in mild shock over the nuke.
"They were the trials used to convict Nazi leaders of their crimes, the ones that were still alive, anyway." Slays explained.
A far chunkier looking Pyrrha would be in front of a stand, surrounded by people wearing headphones. "I stand up for the things I have done, but emphatically deny that my actions were dictated by the desire to subjugate foreign people by war; to murder them, to rob them," She'd explain over footage of a concentration camp from a top down view
Pyrrha was terrified at her inclusion, especially that she was obviously a Nazi in this.
Jaune would put a hand on her shoulder in order to calm her down.
"Military Deaths: 24'000'000, Civilian Deaths: 34'000'000" The black box read, over people behind barbed wire, destroyed Nazi iconography and Chinese people bowing down.
The audience was in shock at the disparity between the death count of Civilians and Military personnel.
"An iron curtain has descended across the continent," Glynda declared, over an image of her, Robyn and Cinder all in different frames. "Behind that line, lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe," She'd continue, over The Soviet and British flags next to each other in front of a building. "Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia," She'd list the capitals of the countries that were under control of The Soviet Union, footage of a Soviet tank firing would then be shown.
"Though the present situation is dangerous, we do not believe that war is inevitable," Robyn Hill began to explain, while an animated, red tinted globe would appear, it would then turn into the UN Symbol, the shape of the United States appearing behind it. "There is no conflict of the legitimate interests of the free world and those of the Soviet Union that cannot be settled by peaceful means," She'd continue, over footage of Cinder meeting up with American officials. "We will continue to take every honourable step we can to avoid general war, but we will not engage in appeasement; the world learnt from Munich that security cannot be bought via appeasement."
The audience was glad that the nations of the world were at least trying to keep peace.
The black box then read "1947-1991 - The Cold War." Over footage of a large picture of Cinder's head being paraded around and a large group of people around an arch shaped table.
"Alright, that's it, you guys enjoy that?" Slays asked.
"It was interesting to learn about," Ozpin answered.
"Alright good, I'm gonna let you guys take a break before we watch the next thing, there should be some rooms beyond a door to your left that you can sleep in," Slays explained, before disappearing into nothingness, along with Jerry the monkey.
