"This trip is going to be so awesome!" Rose greeted me excitedly. Ned nodded enthusiastically from beside her. Peter and I simply exchanged silent glances.

While Pepper had been able to work fantastic miracles getting everyone but Tony and Uncle Bucky out of the tower, she had not been able to procure promises from either of those two to not interfere. Dad had insisted it was his right—he was after all the owner of the company and building, and he could be public about interning Peter, just not about Spiderman. He was a bit more conciliatory towards doing his best to avoid revealing our connection, since that would be a bit harder to play off. Uncle Bucky just said he would be nearby in case anything happened, since Peter gave off pre-serum Steve vibes and he wanted to see how we both "interacted with the other kids." That worried me in case of Flash, though MJ had once again assured she would do her best to take care of that problem while at the tower.

"Ready for all your lies to be exposed, Penis?"

Think of the devil. Flash strolled up to us with a smug grin, overly proud of himself for his question.

Peter rolled his eyes, "It's not a lie, Flash."

"Uh huh, whatever you say, Penis."

Peter stiffened in annoyance. We were both already stressed, we didn't need Flash's idiocy adding to it. I gave him a questioning glance, "Why are you so obsessed with his penis, anyway? Didn't realize you were into guys."

Not that there was anything wrong with people being gay. But straight guys being accused of it? The easiest way to ruffle their feathers.

Case in point, Flash flushed red, stammered out something unintelligible and backed away. MJ caught my eye and we both burst into laughter, the others giggling along with us.

Then Ned pointed out, "It's going to be really bad if he says something like that and someone, especially Mr. Stark, overhears."

Our laughter immediately faded and while the rest of us shared worried glances, Rose looked a bit confused, "No offense, Peter, but why would anyone at S.I. care about the problems of a high school intern?"

Peter blushed and Ned just started stammering nervously, so I answered, "Because this is Peter we're talking about. He's practically the mascot for the interns—everyone absolutely adores him. Including Da-Mr. Stark—that's how he ended up being his personal intern. And they all, including Mr. Stark, have absolutely no chill and are incredibly dramatic. Especially when it comes to Peter. If Flash does something and gets noticed… he won't be living it down anytime soon."

Peter groaned, while turning an even darker shade of red. But before he could say anything to refute what I'd said, Mr. Harrington entered the hallway. Looking a bit frantic, he ushered us all outside to board the bus.

Rose entered first, and ended up sitting with Liz. Ned and MJ sat together, letting Peter and I share a seat so we could whisper nervously about what would happen when we got to the tower. To which we pulled up much sooner than either of us would have liked.

I sent one last desperate text to my dad and uncle, begging them both to behave. Then followed the other students off the bus.

Olivia had us all gather in an empty space near the front desk. Peter and I hung near the back, wanting to delay being recognized as long as possible.

"Hi Midtown, I have here your guest access cards for the day, which will expire at 4pm when you leave. These will give you limited access to the tower. If you leave the building, you can use it to get back in. They will give you access to the cafeteria, as well as provide up to 5 total uses, or $60 total expenditure, at any of our food service locations. If you could all please form a straight line, I will get your name and give you a card before you will pass through the scanner to join your tour guide, Julie. Julie give a wave. When you go through the scanner, FRIDAY, the Tower's A.I. will welcome you and list your access level."

Julie, a short brunette waiting just on the other side of the scanner, waved welcomingly as all the students lined up and began going through the scanner, all oohing and awing as FRIDAY welcomed them and identified their status as guests. Peter fidgeted anxiously ahead of me as we got closer and closer. Flash was only a few people ahead of us, and judging by all the side glances he kept tossing back towards us, I had a bad feeling he was about to do something stupid.

I was proven right when he approached Olivia and gave his name as Peter Parker. Olivia frowned at him, "I'm sorry, I only have one Peter Parker on this list, is there supposed to be two of you in this class?"

"No, I'm the only one."

Her frown deepened, "You most certainly are not. Peter Parker is an intern here, I know him well, and you are not him," she glanced quickly down the line and pointed at Peter, "That's Peter."

Flash blushed as she continued, "Now, if you could please give me your actual name, young man. And refrain from such behaviour for the remainder of the trip. We run a proper business here and it is a privilege that we have allowed you to visit—a privilege that can be revoked if we think you are not treating your visit seriously."

He mumbled out his actual name and took his card, passing through the scanner and skulking over to the rest of the group. MJ went through the scanner a moment later, and I watched as she went over to Flash, who paled quickly at whatever she said to him. She gave him a scary smile then left to stand at the other side of the group.

When Peter and I approached Olivia, she gave us both a smile, "Hello, you two, you both have your cards with you?"

We held up our hands to show her the cards we held, and she nodded approvingly, before a look of concern crossed over her face and she asked, "Should Mr. Thompson's actions be addressed?"

Peter shook his head frantically, "No, no, not at all, he simply just has a poor sense of humor."

"Mmhm, Y/N?"

I backed up what Peter said, then made our excuses to go through the scanner so we didn't hold up the class. Forgetting what would happen the moment we did.

"Welcome Peter Parker-Level: Personal Intern."

The entire class turned around when FRIDAY announced Peter, loudly questioning what she had said and discussing it amongst each other. I heard a few people declaring they had always known Peter had been telling the truth—liars.

While they were distracted, I quickly held my card up to the reader and stepped through the scanner myself.

"Welcome Y/N Y/l/n. Level 1: Regular Visitor."

A few students heard over the hubbub about Peter, giving me questioning glances. Including Flash, unfortunately, his eyes narrowing. I went to go join my friends, but he intercepted me.

"And just why do you have a special access card?"

I forced a neutral tone into my voice, "My father works here, sometimes I visit him."

"Oh? So then maybe we'll get to meet him today, surely he'll take a break to see his daughter."

An unfortunate truth. But he couldn't know that, so instead I lied. "He has the week off."

"Quite the coincidence."

I rolled my eyes, stepping away successfully this time and taking a place next to Rose just as the tour guide began talking.

"Hello everyone, Welcome to Stark Tower, home of Stark Industries, the world's foremost business in science and technology. Today, you will get to visit some of our labs, attend lectures by some of our most prestigious employees, see some demonstrations, visit the Avengers Museum, and if their schedules permit, you may even get to meet Ms. Potts or Mr. Stark."

A buzz of excited noise went up from all the students, thankfully masking the groans of Peter and I.

"If you'll just follow me, first stop is a lower-level lab."

We all trooped after her, excitement building as the tour officially began.
