Okoye was visibly annoyed as she walked with Shuri onto the beach in the hot sun. Shuri carried a large briefcase as she walked with Okoye side by side. The two stopped at the waters edge and Okoye looked at Shuri who was already kneeling down next to the briefcase.
"I don't see why you dragged me all the way out here to test out a new spear. Nothing is wrong with the spear I already have. It's a good spear. A weapon of elegance. I don't need a new one. It works just fine" Okoye said as she watched Shuri stand and hand her the new weapon.
"Just because it works doesn't mean it can't be improved." Shuri said and handed Okoye the spear. Okoye took it reluctantly. "Go on. Test it out. But in the water." Shuri encouraged.
"The water?" Okoye asked as if she misheard.
"Just go in to about your ankles. I will be making observations." Shuri said as she held out her hand, letting one of her Kimoyo beads separate from her bracelet. It kept it's distance as it flew around Okoye like a drone.
Once in the water, Okoye extended the spear. Unlike the one she had before, both ends had a spear tip. She give it a twirl, testing it's weight. Each hand she alternated, giving the spear a spin, jabbing at the air, slicing in every direction with downward and upward slashes. She was in a full spin of her body when the spear hit some resistance with an loud clank. Okoye rounded back instantly and faced whatever met her spear.
She recognized the blue skin, the hammerhead shark headpiece, the vibranium spear. It was Attuma. If he was there, who else was? She instinctively turned away from him concerned about the Queen. Okoye ran back to the Queen she left defenseless. She stopped instantly when she grew closer to the shore. Shuri was safe. Unharmed. Yet Namor sitting right next to her. Okoye looked at Namor and then at Shuri noticeably confused. Shuri looked at her and spoke.
"What better way to test the spear than against a skilled opponent?" She asked and motioned towards Attuma. Shuri nodded towards him and he nodded back. Okoye saw the exchange and her tension relaxed. She bowed to her queen and made her way back to the waters towards Attuma.
"I have been eagerly awaiting to face you again." Attuma confessed as he gave a mighty spin of his own spear.
Okoye moved to a attack position, holding her spear high as if ready to drive it through him. "Don't get mad at me when you lose." She said and lunged forward.
Attuma with his enhanced agility dodged her easily and she crashed into the water. She looked up at him annoyed.
"I was not ready." Okoye said angrily before getting up.
She went into attack position again. Striking forward she met a block by his spear. The two fought, each meeting the other blow for blow. None seeming to get the upper hand. Evenly matched despite Attuma's abilities. Evenly skilled. Attuma smiled under his mask every time Okoye got the upper hand and made him lose his footing.
"This is going to be a good fight." Attuma thought.
Back upon the beach Namor sat next to Shuri. Close. Too close. Eyes fixated upon her. Shuri didn't look at him. She kept her eyes upon the fight when she spoke.
"Could you not sit so close?" She asked, feeling as if his eyes were looking right through her. He was so close that she could feel the heat of his body.
"Why? I want to be close to you." Namor replied, his lips mere inches away from her ear. The breath from his words made her shudder.
"You're sitting too close. People will think…" [we're fucking] which was her first thought. "…..we're together." She tried not to look at him as she spoke.
He placed his hand upon her cheek and turned her head to face him. His eyes bore right into her.
"Are we not?" He asked.
The way he asked. His eyes, so intense. Everything about him. His face. His wet dark hair. The jewels that he wore, pearl, vibranium, gold, jade. The sound of voice. Just looking at him was like a siren's song. She couldn't help but be pulled in. Namor's eyes looked down to her lips and Shuri's eyes followed. She knew what he was thinking. Knew what would happen next. Namor leaned in. Shuri stayed still, waiting, waiting when suddenly she blinked startled and pulled away.
Loud thunderous foot steps approached. Shuri rolled her eyes and shook her head. A hulking figure stopped beside her.
"Fish man!" M'Baku said with what sounded like glee from an excited child.
"I could hear your chewing from a mile away." She said looking up at him. M'Baku looked down with a mouth full of carrot and chewing loudly.
"Let me at the Fish Man…." He said and then shouted loudly in Okoye's direction as he finished his sentence. "….Because Okoye is clearly losing!"
Hearing M'Baku and what he said caused Okoye to lose concentration. Attuma took advantage, quickly knocking her off her feet and into the water. Okoye growled.
"I can take you all on." M'Baku said proudly. "One fish." He pointed at Attuma. "Two fish." He pointed at Namor. "Red fish. Blue fish." He said and with that, knobkerrie in hand, made his way to the water. M'Baku did love his books. Even the children ones apparently.
Namor looked at Shuri in confusion. "I am not a red fish."
Shuri shook her head at the foolishness of it all as she watched M'Baku charged Attuma. Attuma quickly dodged M'Baku's shoulder charge and watched as he plunged head first into the water.
"You not ready?" Attuma asked, echoing Okoye's words previously.
Okoye smirked at that. M'Baku huffed, clearly annoyed as he got up soaking wet.
"I let him do that." M'Baku replied looking at Okoye who clearly wasn't buying it.
"Let's see what else you will let him do." She said to M'Baku and made her way out of the water. Attuma watched her go, a look of longing in his eyes as he watched. He clutched his spear, looking back at M'Baku. M'Baku wasn't why he was there. He didn't want to fight M'Baku, someone he felt he could beat with his eyes close. He wanted her. Her. His eyes lingered before focusing back on M'Baku.
Okoye reached them both and stood by the two sitting. She stood at Shuri's side watching M'Baku and Attuma fight in the water. More like Attuma playing around as M'Baku tried to fight. Upon drawing close, she saw their body language. Shuri resting her weight with her arms behind her. Namor's hands, mere inches from hers, a pinky outstretched and touching her hand. Okoye saw the closeness of the two. How far apart they were which wasn't much. Something was going on there but what? And when did they get so friendly?
Okoye had many thoughts and questions. Questions that would be asked at a later time. For right now, it was too entertaining watch M'Baku fall time and time again into the water as Attuma effortlessly blocked and side steeped seemingly every attack.
Shuri watched too. Amused at it all. She looked over towards the horizon. The sun would be setting soon. She sighed to herself. This…this is perfect. All of them, coexisting. Getting along. No animosity. No hostility. Working together. Having fun. This is how it should be.
Shuri was broken from her thoughts when she felt a chill. It was as if something was watching her. She looked around and saw a familiar headdress emerged from the water. A head was looking in her direction. Everything else was submerged. Shuri lifted her arm and motioned for her to join them. Namora disappeared under the water in reply. Namor turned to see what Shuri was waving at but Namora was already gone.
"It is getting late my Queen." Okoye broke the silence. "We should head back."
Shuri stood. Namor stood with her.
"Yes, you are right." She agreed. Putting her hands to her lips, she shouted to M'Baku. "Come on M'Baku. Let's head back. You're clearly not winning!"
M'Baku stopped and looked towards her unhappy. He looked like a kid, sad that mommy told him he has to come home from the play ground.
"He wasn't ready." Attuma said loudly.
M'Baku frowned and stomped to the shore, being full dramatic in the display of his protest.
"You be ready when I beat you next time." M'Baku said over his shoulder to Attuma yet there was no hostility in his words.
Namor held out his hands and said goodbye in the Talokanil gesture Shuri was all to familiar with and then made his way to Attuma. Okoye and Shuri watched as they disappeared into the sea.
Okoye didn't say a word to Shuri despite having many many questions as they made their way back. There seemed to be an awkward silence until they got back to the lab. Shuri placed the briefcase upon a table and held out her hand to collect Okoye's new spear.
"How did you like it?" Shuri asked.
"It was heavier unlike my other one." She commented.
Shuri held her beads towards the spear's direction and they began scanning. A diagram of spear appeared on a screen next to them along with notes and drawings.
"Since their weapons are of pure vibranium, I tried to incorporate as much of it as I could back into yours. In your old one I had to hollow it out so that it can collapse and expand as needed. Plus the modifications inside such as the link to your beads and the ability to shock whoever holds it if you desire, made it lighter. I took away a lot of that." Shuri said as she made notes to the diagram.
"Doesn't sound like you improved it. Sounds like you just reverted to a basic spear." Okoye commented.
"I wanted to see you fight him so I could see what I wanted to add and what I did not. I knew you probably wouldn't have gone along unless I said it was a new spear." Shuri replied.
"You mean meet him." Okoye corrected.
Shuri stopped her drawings and calculating to turn her head towards Okoye. Before Shuri could reply, Okoye spoke again.
"Given his speed and strength, also his weapon, I have some ideas you could incorporate in making me a new spear. I would like plenty of opportunity to test it." Okoye said and took her leave.
Shuri smiled brightly. When the spear was tested, it was against Attuma. Okoye said she wanted more opportunity. Did she want to see him again? Did this mean she was all right with Namor and the rest being there?
Progress. This was progress.
When the sun had set and the moon was high in the sky, Shuri made her way back to the beach. Namor was already there waiting for her and so was a camp fire. When she approached, he didn't look up at her. He stared into the campfire, lost in thought and pensive. There was a look as if something was troubling him. Shuri placed the backpack that she had been carrying down beside her. Then she sat down upon a log next to him.
"What's wrong?" She asked.
He didn't look at her and spoke towards the fire.
"You are ashamed of me. You didn't want to be seen with me." There was such pain in his voice.
"Namor." Shuri said his name softly.
"The murderer of your mother. The one who waged war upon your people. Why would you want to be seen with me? To be together with me?" His voice was dark, low, full of coldness. She remembered that tone. The familiar cold his tone reached when he spoke of his childhood, of returning to his homelands and of what he had found there.
Instead of replying right away, Shuri unzipped the back pack. She removed something and sat it in his lap. He looked down in surprise and then looked at her as he held it up to look at it.
"What is this?" He asked, still looking at the object.
"It's a suit. Just a suit. I brought it here because I want you to meet the Elders. Yes, you have committed crimes. Crimes that I remember. Crimes that I have not forgiven you for. Neither will they. Neither will most. So to been seen with you in such a way….." She paused as she measured her words carefully.
"They are not ready yet. I do not have a problem with us, with you, but others definitely will. It will have to be revealed in time. I would like to tell them of your presence. Of the Talokan presence. Of how your people are welcome here. It would probably help if you wore something….." She looked him over. "…..less THAT."
Namor looked over the suit in understanding. He then frowned. "You are ashamed of how I look?"
Shuri shook her head.
"No! No. You're just really intimidating with all of that. You can rip the suit off afterwards. I don't care. I feel that if you walk in there, striking fear in everyone, they would be less agreeable." She explained.
Namor looked back at the suit. "I will definitely rip it off." He looked it over with distaste.
After a moment he sat the suit down next to him. He looked back at Shuri, now with hope in his eyes.
"All of this. You wanting me to see them. How you and your warrior woman-" He was cut off.
"Okoye." Shuri interrupted with her correction.
"How you and your warrior woman, Okoye," Namor corrected.
His body was moving closer to hers as he spoke. She didn't notice how he was slowly scooting over, closing any gap between their bodies.
"Joined and agreed to meet us. You accept us and me. You accept me." He said.
"I do." She whispered. ["I do accept you."]
Words not spoken. Words unsaid but understood. Words she didn't say out loud but it was as if she did because it unleashed a fury within him. His mouth was hungrily against hers in an flash. Furious. Demanding. Insistent and in total control. The gasp from the sudden onslaught was all he needed to seize her mouth, to take her with his tongue and drown her within his kiss.
The boy without love. The boy without love had his love on her back next to the log and fire.
El nino sin amor.
The boy who had no love for the surface world was climbing on top of her, running his hands up her thighs as he rested his body between them. The boy without love kissing swollen lips as he heard his name moaned into the night sky. The boy without love feeling the skin of his shoulders being clawed into as he slipped his hard cock inside of her.
The boy without love.
The man.
The God to his people.
None of that mattered as he raised himself up upon his arms to watch her. Watch in the fire light as her eyes closed and fluttered as pleasure rocked her body with every thrust of his cock. Watch as she whispered his name through swollen, kissed, parted lips as her body, hot wet and warm around him took his cock with ease. Watch as her eyes opened to meet his before he lowered into a kiss once more.
The boy without love.
El nino sin amor.
The man.
The God to his people.
Accepted.
Her words played in his mind again. "I do." and the unspoken "I accept you." that followed.
"In yaakunech." He murmured against her lips before kissing her.
The fire had long gone out. Shuri brushed the sand off her dress. Namor took the fabric in his hand and gently ran his fingers against it.
"You wear these now when you see me." He noted, still running his fingers along the fabric.
Shuri looked down slightly embarrassed. She didn't want to say it was because of easy access.
"We have to stop meeting this way. Doing this here. My back is killing me and I'm really getting tired of this sand." Namor smiled and watched as she stood up with the back pack in her hand.
"I have to go. I need to get in some good sleep before our meeting with the Elders." She continued.
Namor stood then. He grabbed her by the waist, pulling her close into his arms.
"I don't want you to go." He ran his hand along her cheek.
"You're going to see me again really soon." She reminded him. "I will have a room for you set aside so that you may change and enter. It'll be fine." Shuri kissed him before making her leave.
The Elders were already gathered in the throne room. They didn't know what for. All they knew was that they were summoned by the Queen. Queen Shuri paced in a adjacent room outside the throne room. The only one with her was her General, Okoye. Shuri had briefed Okoye on what the meeting was for. Still Shuri was nervous. Okoye placed her hand upon Queen Shuri's shoulders and gave her a reassuring look before leaving the room to go to the throne room. Shuri shortly followed, the room going silent as she entered and taking her seat.
Okoye tapped her spear loudly against the floor, stopping whatever other conversations were going on and bringing everyone's eyes towards onto her. She looked towards the throne room doors and announced.
"By invitation of the Queen, I present to you, Namor of Talokan."
The doors parted by the guards opened slowly. All eyes faced the direction as three figures walked through, side by side.
On the left in was Attuma. Attuma in his hammerhead headdress, spear in hand, wearing armor of aquatic bones, teeth and shells. On the right as Namora in her brightly feathered headdress. Her body also in armor and she also carried a spear.
In the middle.
Shuri face palmed. In the middle…..
"I told him to wear something normal. Less intimidating. What is that?" She mumbled loud enough that Okoye could hear.
Okoye watched them approach. The corner of her lip turned upwards with a slight smile and she leaned towards Shuri.
"I like it." Okoye remarked.
Shuri rolled her eyes. "No doubt he found your closet before coming here." She shook her head.
In the middle was Namor walking towards the center of the throne room. He was wearing the tan suit all right. He was wearing other things too. Adorned upon his shoulders were black feathers, almost like a cape. Shiny black feathers almost iridescent with their sheen. He also wore sunglasses. Okoye's sunglasses prominently upon his face. Everyone's eyes followed as they moved across the room. No one spoke when he stopped a few steps away from the Queen.
It took her a moment to unscramble her brain before standing and returning his greeting. The room was deathly silent. All eyes were on the trio. It was as if they were the only ones in the room. Yet when Shuri spoke, everyone turned to her.
"Today, we welcome a new ally to the lands of Wakanda. We welcome Namor of Talokan. We welcome his people. His people are welcomed in Wakanda…." She looked towards Namora. "…If they wish. If they wish, they may live upon these lands, unharmed, protected. No harm shall come to them. If they want to build here, live here, they can. They are allowed to do so. I-"
And Elder bolted to his feet. "This is an outrage! These murders are not welcomed upon these lands. Queen Mother-"
"I AM THE QUEEN!" She shouted towards the Elder. She walked down and the Elder cowered, sitting back onto his chair in fear. "If you don't like it…." She said looking towards him. She then looked towards everyone in the room. "If ANYONE doesn't like it…." She said turning in a circle speaking to the whole room. "Than you all can leave."
Silence filled the room once more. The Elder who voiced his protest stood up. He bowed to the Queen, turned on his heel and left. Soon, each Elder, one by one followed suit and did the same. The only ones that remained were Okoye, still standing by the throne, the rest of the Dora Milaje who stood around the throne room and…..
M'Baku.
M'Baku stayed seated. He looked around the room after everyone had cleared out. He stood and bowed to the Queen. Then he smirked.
"That's one way to get out of these seemed quite bored of them anyway. I'm going to go read a book." M'Baku nodded to Shuri, Okoye, the trio and then simply left as if nothing even happened.
As if nothing happened at all. The council of Elders had been disassembled. A council that had been around since her brother, since her Queen Mother. Disbanded. Yet to M'Baku, it was just another day.
Shuri's eyes watched as the guards opened the doors to let M'Baku make his way out. She then nodded to Okoye. Okoye tapped her spear twice against the floor and two guards made their way to the throne. They were carrying a metal case. They sat it down in at the Queen's feet and bowed before departing.
Shuri knelt down and opened the case. She took what was inside and rose to her feet, holding it in her hands. Okoye moved the metal case out of the way. She held it in front of Namor whose eyes were wide. She lifted it in her hands and let it go. The object flew to Namor and landed and his feet. His eyes were still wide. Bulging. He looked down and towards her. She nodded and spoke.
"It's a winged sandal. Put it on the foot where the wings are broken." She gestured with her hand.
Namor slowly, cautiously did as she instructed. He gasped when the sandal conformed to his foot and began morphing. It encased his foot at is "reading" it, mapping itself all around it, molding before reaching the broken wings. Tiny specks began to work and take shape, morphing itself into a set of full wings around his broken ones.
"Stark had nano tech. We have something better. The wings, although synthetic are now attuned to you. Go on. Move them. They will work as if they've never been broken." Shuri continued.
Namor, eyes still wide beyond belief, flexed the new wings upon his angles. They folded and expanded just by his thoughts. He rose off the ground and hovered in mid air before taking off, flying around the room. Attuma and Namora watched in astonishment. He could not believe it.
When he descended there was a look in his eyes. Predatory. Dark. Dangerous.
"Leave us!" He commanded, his voice strong with what sounded like anger.
This caused everyone, all the Dora Milaje to rush down, spears drawn, surrounding the Talokan trio. Defensively Attuma and Namora pointed their spears in return, their backs shielding Namor in protection.
Shuri raised a hand and the Dora Milaje, Okoye included lowered their weapons.
"Leave us. All of you." She said gently. They bowed, crossed their arms in the familiar X of Wakanda, turned on their heels and exited the room one by one. Okoye was the last to move. She gave Shuri a look. Shuri nodded as if telling her it was ok and Okoye left with the rest. The only ones that remained were Attuma and Namora.
"I said leave us." Namor commanded again. His eyes still locked on Shuri.
He waited until he could no longer feel their presence. Once gone, he turned back to Shuri. His glance only lasted for a second until he snapped.
The wings, both functioning returned his inhuman speed. Shuri couldn't catch her breath because it was being sucked out her by his harsh lips. She became dizzy. She could hear the fabric of her dress being ripped open. A hot hand parting her thighs. More fabric ripping but she didn't know where. Curses in a language unknown to her as she felt her body being lifted and then lowered.
A loud gasp escaped her lips as reality came crashing through. She was being lowered by her hips onto his hard awaiting cock. Her eyes began to focus on everything around her. He was sitting on the throne of Wakanda. It's Queen his his lap. It's Queen filled to the hilt with his cock. It's Queen with fingers bruising her hips as pumped into her from below as he held her in place. More of his language spilled out. But it was harsher than before. More guttural. More primal. What was he saying?
He was going mad. He was going mad once more and it was because of her. Everything was because of her. It was HER. She was his undoing. Everything about her made him unhinged. Logic. Out the window. Reason. Out the window. Lust. Admiration. Alliance. Union. His people.
El nino sin amor.
Acceptance.
Love.
Everything she did was out of love.
Everything flashed before his eyes. Every encounter. Her asking to stay in the scientists place. Her asking to see his lands. The way she listened. The way she could relate. Him wanting the burn the world together. Him wishing things were different. Her sparing his life. Her agreeing to protect his people.
Every moment on the beach. The way her wardrobe turned into dresses to ease their love making. The many nights on the beach. The acceptance of his people. Of him. Attuma and Okoye on the beach. The meeting with the Elders. The alliance. Their many many unions. The broken wings upon his feet now made whole.
Everything was out of love.
This realization is what broke him. He couldn't hear her cries of pleasure. He couldn't hear her begging for reprieve as he came inside of her over and over and over again. He was gone. So gone. Drowning once again. Drowning. Yielding. Everything that was her.
When Shuri woke, she found herself in her bed. Various parts of her body were wrapped in bandages. When she tried to sit up, she winced in pain.
"Griot?" She called to her AI. "What day is it?" She asked.
"Tuesday." It replied.
She ran her hands over her face as if washing it. "That can't be right. The council meeting was on a Sunday."
"That is correct. Today is Tuesday." The Ai replied.
Shuri shook her head. She didn't want to entertain the idea of being fucked so hard to the point of passing out and being out for days.
"Griot? How long ago was it that Namor and I started visiting each other at the beach?" She asked.
"Two months ago. Going on three." It answered her.
Shuri moved around and winced again. Something wasn't right. Something was off.
"Griot? When was my last menstrual cycle?" She asked.
"23 days ago." It replied.
"When was it expected to happen again?" She continued her line of questioning.
"You were expected towards the end of this month." Her Ai replied.
Shuri went still. She looked down and placed a hand upon her stomach.
"Would you like me to tell you the days you were ovulating?" Griot asked.
Shuri's eyes went wide.

A/N 2: Namor's "suit" inspired by this photo set on tumblr that I reblogged. - spockuhura-is-flawless/wiha-jun-tenoch-huerta-by-alex-arza-for-milano/g5vvel711t3g
M'Baku loves Fish Man. He's just a kid that wants to play. He loves a good fight.
I need some sexual tension sparring with Attuma and Okoye where she gets pinned multiple times.
You know when you buy a gift for someone and you're so excited that you tell the person? That's how I feel with what I have in store for the next installment.
I also realized after a rewatch that it wasn't a beach, it was a river. The scene was so dark. I thought it was a beach the whole time.
