There was one person who made the transition from life underwater with the Talokanil to life on land with the people of Wakanda effortlessly. One person that came to mind and that was Attuma. Attuma who convinced many Talokanil to join him on Wakanda, throw down their arms, take the injection that took away their dependence of the sea and live a peaceful life on land. Attuma who married a Wakandan woman who was the best warrior of their land. Attuma, who now had a family with that Wakandan woman warrior, Okoye.

Namor knocked on the door to where they lived. If anyone could help him maybe rectify things between him, Shuri and Yatzil, maybe it was them. It was worth a shot. Attuma opened the door and looked surprised at first. Upon recognizing who it was, he withdrew his defensive stance, smiled softly and welcomed Namor into his home with open arms.

Attuma motioned Namor to sit down as he went to the kitchen to make them some drinks. Namor took the cup and looked down into it, not knowing what was inside. Attuma smiled and took a sip.

"It's drinking chocolate but not like our drinking chocolate. There is milk and sugar added. It gives it a sweet taste. Try it." Attuma motions to the mug in Namor's hands and up towards his mouth.

Namor looks at Attuma hesitantly, then to his mug and takes a small experimental sip.

"That is pleasant. Thank you." He says and sits his mug down upon the table in front of him.

Attuma, pleased, takes another sip before questioning Namor. "So what brings you here?"

Namor sat back against the couch and looked around. The living space had tribal Wakandan art on the walls and decorations from the Boarder Tribe, Okoye's tribe scattered through out. There were also touches of the sea like the fishing net upon a whole entire wall that had various sea trinkets upon it like shells, pearls and other colorful things.

In addition, there were weapons high on the walls. High enough to be out of reach. Weapons of Attuma and Okoye proudly on display. The space was colorful with plants and flowers. Sunlight filtered through the windows. It was modern yet had a tribal feel. There was a space for eating with a table and chairs, books and seating arrangements with cushions. There was also an upstairs where Namor assumed the bed room was located.

"I admire what you have done here, for yourself, your family and for our people. I brought them into this war. For that, I cannot forgive myself…..but you, you took them out of that war. You gave them a choice of a different life. Of sun, land, soil rich with nutrients. Peace with Wakanda. I thank you for that." Namor spoke to him. Attuma nodded in response as he listened to Namor's words. Namor continued.

"I want to be able to hold my wife again. I want to be able to see my child. What can I do? Am I still being punished for the mistakes of my past?" He asked Attuma. He didn't expect Attuma to have any answers for that. It was more of a rhetorical question than anything.

Attuma sighed and leaned back into his own chair that was across from Namor with a small table in between them.

"Namor, those were some pretty BIG mistakes. Murder. War. It's not something you just get over." Attuma replied.

"I know that." Namor replied back, almost bitterly.

"Yes, it's been years since then but the scars are still there. When Shuri looks at you. When they both look at you. Shuri probably thinks of her mother and her people. How you weren't there for Yatzil."

"I didn't know!" Namor said in raw anguish remembering the screens and the words in big glaring lettering that started it all. Attuma looked at him with pity in his eyes.

"You are a fine leader but you were always emotional. Even when you buried your mother, your reaction. Pure emotion. No logic. Just rage. There were times where I questioned your leadership. Times when I considered turning against you and taking Talokan as my own. I decided against it but you not keeping a level head got you into this situation" He paused. " And Shuri's Queen Mother. What did you think would happen when you threw all those hydro bombs? That she would swim away like us? Use her gills to breathe underwater?" He asked.

"I didn't…." Namor stammered as regret and guilt washed over him.

"Think is the word you're looking for. All anger. All rage when you stormed Wakanda. You didn't think, Namor" Attuma said to Namor, not scolding but there was heaviness in his voice.

Before, back when Namor ruled Talokan, Attuma wouldn't have spoken to him like that. He would have taken his orders without question. Now, Namor was no longer King, no longer a ruler, no longer a God that was to be feared. Shuri and Wakanda showed that even the likes of Namor can be best by technology. That with the right kind of science, gifts, mutations could be granted or stripped away. Were the "gods" even real? Was Namor just a "man" with gifts? Namor brought the sun to his people but Shuri give them the ability to return to the land. Did that make her a God too? Regardless, to Attuma, Namor was powerless. No army, no nation under his control. Strong, fast, powerful yes, but that was all.

A voice interrupted the conversation. It was Okoye from an adjacent room. She called out, asking Attuma if they had company because she heard voices. She joined them in the room where the two were sitting. Namor watched as Attuma stood up, placing his hand gently upon his wife's back to help a fully pregnant Okoye sit down next to him.

"How many children do you have?" Namor asked them both out of curiosity.

Attuma kissed her on the cheek and then kissed her belly through her lose fitting clothes.

"This will be our third." He smiled proudly.

"And final." Okoye replied.

Attuma shook his head playfully. "She said that with the last one."

Okoye just rolled her eyes. Namor looked at them both, sitting close to one another, hands touching, clearly in love.

"How did you two…. how did this come to be?" Namor asked.

Attuma put his arms around her and a smile came to his lips and reflected in his eyes.

"She was the best warrior I had ever seen. The day I saw her on that bridge, I just couldn't keep my eyes off of her." He looked over to her then, making eye contact and kissing her. Then he continued.

"I never met a warrior I could tangle with. Never was there one on my level. Well, besides you but you know what I mean." Namor nodded. "No one worthy of my blade until her. The way she moved. It was like dancing. Smooth. Elegant. Dangerous." Attuma looked towards his wife again. Without taking his eyes off of her, he said "Beautiful." He then looked towards Namor again and continued his story.

"Even when we invaded Wakanda, all I could think of was her. To see her. To fight her. I ignored everyone else that day and looked for her. Even when she looked at me in anger, I wanted her. When I got to face her again on the ship as the….. what did you call that suit?" He looked over at his wife.

"The Midnight Angel." Okoye answered.

Attuma smiled. "Yes, The Midnight Angel, it was a happy day. Happiest day of my life then. Way before us becoming husband and wife. Way before our first kiss, us making love, or our first born. So when you told us to stop fighting Wakanda, I hoped to see her again under different circumstances. You allowed that…..until you didn't." There was a faint hint of sass.

Okoye looked at Namor apologetically. "He means the war. He remained an ally to Wakanda and became something else, to me. He was dutiful, loyal, unlike my traitorous first husband. We shared the same values of our people, of protecting, of wanting to maintain peace. The more time I spent with him, the more I fell in love with him." Attuma took Okoye's hand into his at that and squeezed it as he hand it on his lap.

Attuma leaned forward towards Namor. "If you want to make amends with Shuri and Yatzil, let them see that you're not the man that you were before."

"How?" Namor asked genuinely, full of hope.

Okoye looked at them both. "Shuri told me that before, you wanted to wage war with the surface. That you hated everyone on the surface. Is that still true?" She asked.

"No. No it's not." Namor shook his head.

"Then show them that. HELP the people of the surface world. Maybe make your presence known. Show the world that you are good. That you mean them no harm. We're not saying expose Talokan and give them vibranium. Just let your family see. If you truly have a good heart, they will see that in your actions." Okoye advised to Namor.

Attuma and Okoye both looked up towards the ceiling as they heard a crash followed by two kids yelling at one another. Attuma looked at Namor as if he were suddenly tired.

"We have to go. Let me show you to the door." Attuma stood up. He reached out, helping up his wife and walked Namor to the door. "I wish you luck." Attuma said to him as he opened the door.

"Thank you, Attuma." Namor nodded and left the residence.

Shuri and Yatzil sat on a sofa in one of the modernized living space of the palace. It was one of their favorite things to do, watch tv together be it shows, documentaries or the news. They would sit and talk about the world, about the lab and whatever Shuri was working on. Yatzil would talk about her finds as she explored the sea and things like that. Seldom did they bring up her father, Namor. It was still a sensitive topic for them both.

Yatzil was coming around slowly but that was really it. She knew that her mother still loved her father, if the way she said his name was evident. A longing there in her voice whenever Shuri brought him up. Plus, her mother never remarried. Never took on another husband despite pressure. Her mother still referred to herself as married despite either one of them barely seeing Namor.

That situation seemed to work because every time Shuri saw Namor, conflicting feelings would arise. Feelings of lust for him, of the love she had for him and the anger of raising Yatzil alone. The anger of the war and the lives both sides had lost, of her mother and the grief that followed her for years in combination to the grief of the loss of her brother. So many feelings arose when she saw him.

Feelings that came to her at once and it was so hard to sort out. Not seeing him. Not interacting with him meant she didn't have to address those feelings. Let alone the feelings of his absence, of missing him, of wanting him and the guilt. The guilt of missing him, of wanting him, and even lusting when what he did to her, to her people and to her Queen Mother. He confused her. He really did. She didn't know what to do about him or think when it came to him so she just ignored it all.

To keep him out of her mind, she didn't check up on him or where he was despite being able to track his location using the artificial nanotech wings she made for the foot that she injured during their first battle. She tried to keep him out of sight out of mind. To only deal with him if he came up, which he didn't thankfully.

The two were watching tv when Shuri's kimoyo beads started to ring. It was Everrett Ross. She answered and heard his voice.

"Are you seeing this? Turn on any news station." He said to her through his hologram light projection from her beads. Yatzil grabbed the remote and changed the channel. Namor was everywhere. They both looked at the screen wide eyed.

"Ross, what is this?" Shuri asked still watching in disbelief.

"You tell me. Hang on I'm sending you some files." The beads chirped and Shuri tapped them. Various light projected screens popped up. All with images of Namor and videos. Ross looked at her and spoke.

"They are calling him The Atlantian and the news dubbed him Aquaman. Where they got that nonsense, I don't know. But that's not the most interesting part. Here, play this clip."

Ross's figure turned into a news clip and Shuri played it from the projection from her wrist. Ross talked as the clip played out.

"Numerous of sightings. All of a man helping people at sea. Be it capsized boats. Rescuing people from drowning. Capturing pirates. Damaging ships of whalers. He's not even hiding himself as he does it. Even lingering to talk to the people and letting them thank him. Shuri, shrines are popping up for Christ sake. People thinking he's some guardian or God of the oceans."

Shuri and Yatzil both watched the screens.

"Why would he do that? He wants nothing to do with the surface world. He wanted to go to war with them all. Not help any of them." Shuri said to Ross.

Ross shook his head not having an answer or explanation. "I thought it was your doing. Seeing how you two…" He looked towards Yatzil. "Never mind. Anyway, I wanted to bring it to your attention. He's not causing any harm. Just getting lots of attention" Ross said.

"Thanks, Ross." Shuri said and the call ended.

Yatzil smiled as she watched the videos on the screen still playing. She looked to her mom who was still watching everything in a stunned silence.

"Mom, I'm tired and heading to bed. I love you and will see you later." She said and leaned in to hug and kiss her mother before she left.

Yatzil walked towards the doors and exited through them. Instead of turning down the hall to go to her room, she went an opposite direction and left the palace. She tapped her kimoyo beads and asked Griot to find Namor's location. After it was found, she said "Go on"and her enhanced bodysuit materialized onto her body from the beads. It wasn't a Black Panther suit. Just a super enhanced swimming suit , the same she wore before when she first saw Namora.

With wings flapping at her ankles she took off into the sky. When she reached Namor's location she was clear across the world in the middle of the ocean. Helicopters with lights flew ahead with spotlights aimed at the water. She quickly dived below to be hidden from view. From below the water she could see Namor in the air floating alongside the helicopters. She could hear what they were saying due to her enhanced hearing, like her fathers.

"The pipeline burst underwater. It's spilling oil everywhere." Yatzil heard someone say.

"I will find a way to seal it for you." Yatzil heard Namor say.

A 'thank you' was heard followed by Namor's voice again. "I'm not doing it for you or to save your oil. Your oil is spilling and polluting my oceans. It's hurting the animals. I'm doing it for them."

Yatzil heard a splash which she assumed was Namor returning to the water. She turned to look around only to find Namor in a standing upright position behind her. He eyed her suspiciously, questioningly.

"Need help sealing the pipeline?" Yatzil asked eagerly with a smile.

Namor's body relaxed as well as his expression. He smiled back at her. "Yes, I could."

"Well guide the way." Yatzil motioned and Namor began to dive deeper. Yatzil followed her father.

It was nice, swimming with him side by side, helping the people, helping the animals and the sea. She liked this. She smiled to herself. She liked this. They reached the pipeline and it was spewing black oil like a geyser.

"How do we seal it?" Namor asked out loud as he watched the oil spew from the pipe. "I could cover it with rocks. Wrap kelp around it. I don't know if it would hold." He contemplated as he looked it over.

Yatzil looked at the exploding pipeline as well. Then she looked towards Namor.

"Mom, I mean Wakanda doesn't know I'm here. So getting them to come out and wield it shut is out of the question. Talokan has scientist right? I know about the kelp fiber optic cables. Let's go ask them." She suggested.

Namor looked at her hesitantly. "I haven't been back to Talokan since the war. I don't think they will welcome me."

"Well let me try?" Yatzil asked with sincerity in her voice. Namor nodded and lead the way to Talokan.

They swam to the circular stone of the river current entrance. Namor was surprised when Yatzil swam in front of him and did the Talokanil greeting to activate the currents. She moved her body forward and the currents whisked her away through underwater channels and caves. The currents pushed her out into an opening and there was Talokan in all it's glory.

Yet it was dark. There was bioluminescence lights flickering about but that was it. Everything was so dark.

"What happened to the Sastun?" Namor said after swimming up beside her and looking around.

"The Sastun?" Yatzil asked.

"The vibranium sun. The sun I brought to my people. The sun your mother, along with the scientist enhanced and made it shine as bright as ever." Namor replied as he looked over the dark underwater kingdom. A place that used to be his kingdom.

They swam forward towards the center of Talokan. They didn't make it far before they were surrounded by guards. Weapons drawn against them, the guards escorted them inside of the kingdom to the former throne area where Namor once sat. He looked at the carved megalodon throne that stood empty. Yatzil, despite having weapons drawn at her, looked around in wonder with a smile on her face.

"Namora!" Yatzil exclaimed and swam towards her as she came into view. Easily breaking the form of the guards as if they were never there to begin with.

She swam to Namora and hugged her. Namora, completely confused stood there with her arms limp at her sides. Yatzil withdrew and did the Talokanil greeting to Namora.

"Sorry! I was just happy to see you again. Ever since we first saw one another I wanted to see you again but I was unable to get down here. And then…." She jumped as if she remembered something. She turned and motioned to Namor.

"Me and my dad need your help. You were the first person to come to mind because you're so bad ass and everything that…."

Namora placed her hand up as if asking for silence. The teenager in Yatzil was showing. Yatzil couldn't help it. Seeing Namora for the first time was like seeing a celebrity. She was completely star struck. Yatzil was amazed by the woman's look, her presence, how fierce and strong she was. She was 'so cool' Yatzil remembered when she thought of her.

Namora looked towards Yatzil and then to Namor. Yatzil followed as Namora swam closer to Namor who was still surrounded by guards. Yatzil swayed her arms, maintaining her upright position in the water.

"A pipeline has bursts underwater. Could you help us in sealing it?" Namor asked Namora, his voice soft, trying to appear non threatening.

"For the humans?" Namora asked, speaking in Mayan.

Yatzil swam in front of her, putting herself in between her and Namor.

"No, for the animals and for the ocean." Yatzil replied in Mayan.

"It's leaking oil everywhere and it will kill them. If we seal it, everyone will be saved. Especially the Orcas. I wanted to ride the Orcas with you. I thought about asking you the next time I saw you." She paused. "If you're into that sort of thing. I can understand if you're not." Yatzil looked down as if sad. "I just…"

Namora raised her hand up again and Yatzil stopped talking.

"Very well. Talokan will help the oceans." Namora said and waved the guards away.

Namor looked up towards the housing of the Sastun and then to Namora. "What happened to the Sastun?" He asked Namora.

She began to swim and the two followed behind her. She pointed down at the broken lines of kelp and fiber optics.

"A lot of the scientists live on Wakanda now. We haven't been able to fix it. The scientists that stayed here don't know how it's powered. It's hard to grow crops now as well like corn. The Talokanil that are here and have stayed do not want to leave. They don't want another new way of life so they stayed. But we are starving." Namora spoke as the swam along the lines that lead below the housing of the Sastun.

Yatzil smiled empathically.

"We can fix it. Can't we dad?" She looked towards him proudly. Namor was still in la la land thinking about Yatzil referring to him as 'dad.' He simply nodded dumbly.

"Momma didn't raise no fool. We can fix it for you and you can help us fix the pipe."

Namora nodded in reply. "Whatever you need."

Namora guided them to the labs that once were full of Talokanil scientists. Yatzil swam around, pulling things here, pulling things there and having hand fulls of items. Most of it was raw vibranium. Namora and Namor watched her in awe and in silence. She was hammering and working away with some of the tools she had found, molding and shaping the vibranium. Using heat from the underwater volcanic fissures to do so. She moved with superhuman speed. The speed of her father, the brains of her mother, all working together and coming into play.

A day later the new cable housings were complete as well as new wiring. With the direction of Yatzil, Namor, Namora and some Talokanil replaced the old broken wiring and secured the new housing around the wiring that used to be kelp.

"It's all set. Fire it up." Yatzil said with confidence.

The pyramid holding the Sastun opened and the Sastun emerged. It was bright, shinning, casting shadows everywhere. Talokanil emerged from their living quarters and looked at the sun in wonder once again.

So many smiles. So many happy faces. It reminded Namor of when Shuri first visited Talokan and saw the Sastun for the first time. Namor looked towards his daughter Yatzil and saw the same wonder and awestruck expression on her face, the same expression and smile as her mother when she first saw it. He couldn't stop the tears from his eyes as he looked at her and back to the Sastun.

The Talokanil were all emerged and looking at the Sastun in amazement and wonder. One shouted and pointed to the group of strangers watching from the side. Everyone in unison looked towards the direction of Namor, Yatzil and Namora.

The sun was out and Namor was present. It had to have been him who is responsible.. No longer was Talokan in darkness. It had to be because of Namor. Their serpent God had returned. Their serpent God had saved them again. The Talokanil all gathered in front of Namor. Each giving him the Talokanil greeting. It was evident to Namora that she was no longer acting ruler. She fell into place beside the rest of people and also did the greeting to Namor.

Two Talokanil children swam up to Namor carrying his Serpent God head dress. Namor bowed his head as they placed it upon his head and then swam back to the people.

"Thank you Talokan. I have missed you. I have missed you all." He removed the head dress and handed It to Yatzil who had to resist putting it on.

"Talokan, we need your help. Our animals are dying. Oil is spilling into our oceans and polluting everything around it. Nothing can survive. We must protect these waters. Gather your tools and follow me." Namor commanded.

Leading the way, the blue Talokanil all followed Namor, their leader once more, to the middle of the ocean. Hundreds surrounded the broken pipe. With tools and kelp they wrapped the leaks of the broken pipe until it stopped.

"Stay here." Namor instructed Yatzil and rose out of the water.

It had been days later so many of the helicopters had dissipated. There was one that was flying ahead, a news helicopter which periodically check in and it stopped at the sighting of Namor. They flew towards one another. With cameras pointed at him, Namor spoke to the people inside.

"Your pipeline has been sealed. The oil has stopped. You can now begin your cleaning efforts. We share these oceans. Please be mindful of that. Stop filling it with waste. Stop hunting the animals for sport. Stop using the waters for your pirating schemes or you will have to deal with me." He warned.

Yatzil could hear the humans thanking him. One asked what was his name, what to call him but he dived into the water without giving them an answer. Yatzil, still holding the serpent head dress smiled at him proudly.

"What's next? Can we stop some pirates? Or maybe whalers? Ivory traders?" Yatzil asked excitedly.

Namor looked at her then towards Namora and the rest of the Talokanil.

"Thank you all for you help." Namor did the Talokanil greeting and the all lowered their heads and did it back.

Yatzil's kimoyo beads were vibrating and beeping wildly. "Oh no. I'm in trouble." She said and then sighed.

Without thinking, still holding the serpent god head dress, she bolted and flew towards Wakanda. Namor followed. Namor and the rest of the Talokanil following underwater.

The sudden influx of Talokanil set off alarms all around Wakanda. Troops gathered and all deployed at the beach, along with Shuri, M'Baku, Attuma, and other land Talokanil who were allied with Wakanda. Yatzil touched down upon the sand from the air first followed by Namor landing beside her.

"Yatzil!" Shuri yelled and ran towards her daughter.

"Momma! I'm ok!" Yatzil called to her as Shuri ran closer.

Shuri ran her hands over Yatzil's face and shoulders, checking her over and making sure she was all right. Yatzil smiled, still holding the head dress. Shuri looked down and Yatzil smiled brightly. She turned and held out her hand, motioning for Namor. Namor walked up and took his daughters hand.

"This is Namor, mom. Ruler of Talokan. See?" Yatzil said and proudly held out the head dress.

"We stopped a pipeline from polluting and spilling oil into the ocean. You should have seen it. Dad reassuring the humans. The sun down in Talokan."

"Talokan?" She asked looking at Yatzil and then to Namor.

That's when she looked beyond Namor and saw hundreds of blue Talokanil standing in the water some distance behind Namor on the beach. Namor turned to them, thanking them once more for their help and that they could return home. Each gave the greeting before disappearing underwater, Namora being the last to go.

Yatzil waved at Namora and Namora copied, waving back, confused at the gesture. Yatzil then did the Talokanil greeting followed by the Wakanda forever and Namora did the same, showing their new union before descending underwater.

Shuri watched in silence. Attuma and M'Baku joined Shuri's side in front of Namor and Yatzil.

"Wakanda welcomes you, Namor, Ruler of Talokan." M'Baku said and then gave the Wakanda forever salute followed by the Talokanil salute. Namor returned the gesture.

"Thank you." Namor replied.

Attuma gave Namor a knowing look. A look that said 'you did it, told you it would work.'

M'Baku held out his arm motioning to the shore. "Come. You must tell me about those Somali pirates. I didn't know that was you."

Namor looked back at Yatzil and Shuri before following Attuma and M'Baku into the mainland.

"Bye dad!" Yatzil yelled out.

Namor turned and waved, then continued to walk.

Shuri sighed. She had no idea how to process any of what just happened.

"Look mom." Yatzil instructed and finally tried on her father's head dress. "Oh Bast! That's heavy!" She complained.

"Take that off." Shuri said lovingly, reaching out to help her daughter take it off.

"There is no point staying out here on the beach. Let's go join the others." She said warmly.

Yatzil smiled and walked with her mother, following M'Baku, Attuma and the rest into the Golden City and to the royal palace.

An office chair swiveled around from a screen that had been recently turned off. On the walls were various CIA emblems. The office was spacious and luxurious. Definitely not the office of some common worker.

Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine "Val" and ex wife to Agent Everette Ross, former CIA director long prompted to a now even higher position, sucked at her teeth and then looked around at the men sitting at the long table that stretched across the room.

"We've seen this before. During the attack that night on the ship. The doctor mentioned something about blue people. Blue people, our vibranium detector destroyed. No coincidence. Then this "Aquaman" as the news calls him, coming out of the water who can FLY. I bet he is the leader of the Blue people. I'm willing to bet HE can lead us to vibranium." She spoke at the head of the table.

"How will he do that? You've seen the news. He's powerful. He'll be able to take out any weapon we throw at him." An officer from his seat replied.

DeFontaine smiled. "We'll trap him. Bag him and tag him like a fish. Catch and release." She answered.

She stood up and began walking around the room, speaking as she did so.

"I have seen the news. I have seen what he's doing. Helping people. Defending people. I haven't forgot what happened on that ship that night or the loss of our only vibranium detector. We will stage something. Something big. Something massive where he has to help."

"Like what?" Another officer asked.

And evil smile spread across DeFontaine's face. "Remember the Titanic?"

"You're going to sink a cruise ship!?" An officer asked in disbelief.

"No, an ACCIDENT will befall on a cruise ship. A ship where our men will be placed and undercover. We tag him there. Then he will lead us to the vibranium." 5164

Chapter End

A/N: I'm setting up reunion smut. Looks like someone has gotten on everyone's good side. It would be a shame if a certain little one got captured when evil bytch does the thing. Looks like someone might get that war with the surface after all. A war where two are united against one.

Also, if you don't know, I've written other Nashuri fics on my account you're more than welcomed to read. There is a fun College/School AU on there. In addition, I posted some info about a Loungefly Namor bag, some funko pops and just me being a fangirl via twitter (namorxshuri). Same name on IG. Nashuri nation is beautiful on twitter.

Also a big thank you to Daisy , I keep thinking no one is interested in his fic. Your words of encouragement on here and twitter helps a lot. Thank you 3
