Chapter 4: Now…Who's with Me?!

"SHOJIII!!!"

The dog was in hybrid form as he rushed to swap back; a visitor with the scream of a siren…. uh – oh.

Ayane couldn't block the nereid king's child as Andrea Grotto; A.K. A Aria of the Southern Isles was bound to come and collect.

"You…what sort of pact did you spurn this time??? What in the name of all things, MATRON!"

"Listen, I didn't cause a break in the universe! No one did –

"Did they not? Do you hear this, Ayane – chan?" Aria haughtily asked the dog's faithful partner; Lorelai Ainsley's incarnate and a sorceress of her own later caliber, she was loyal to her boss first and foremost.

"Shoji…. we must tell them, this was –

"No." Shoji stayed in his desk seat and stood firmly against Aria's sharpest waves, as ice now that he would not comply. "Tell Catalina that the balance is possibly…. taking all of its gifts back, not on its own."

"What??" Aria gawked with a hand to her bosom in disbelief. "That cannot…. did the guardians overstay their welcome?? Were the many shifts in time –

"No." Ayane shook her head, not knowing the real reason yet sensing a distinct possibility, instead. "My conclusion is that this, is a test. One that will decide the later fate of our cause to connect the planes. And that another is trying to up – the – ante so that those chosen may not reach their desired result…"

"The children…." Aria gasped. "This is the great unknown's plan? I do not believe it would ever…" She crossed her arms and sat, Ayane and Shoji peering over as Aria gave them a raised brow in suspicion.

"If we are to go "down" together, I want to be present to record every detail!" She sputtered with a dignified huff. "I'm not leaving your side." She squinted at Shoji. "Or yours, my dear." She smiled at Ayane who face planted her hand to her brow. "Maybe we can all be reborn as mortal; wish we had never existed!" Laughed the haughty matron daemoness, Shoji shaking his head with a groan as Ayane sighed and didn't bother to do the same.

How the purest being could be so…annoying.

"They don't know if this is your doing, Hades." Slade spoke to himself as Anna remained in confinement for a time, he'd send her out soon. Hades was using them both to enact his side of justice.

"Where is your real body."

~ With the gods of tomorrow. ~ Smirked the deity from a far-off place.

Slade grumbled and sat with one of the tomes he had collected during Raku's "Roku" events in previous years ago.

~ They won't help. That is demonic lore, a tragedy that shall be re – written. ~

"And what if this HAD to happen?" Slade asked the psych pomp. "What if we're both wrong and time can't be altered to such an extent? It was already, Roku did it but his world ended, his reality was false." Slade then shut the book, grunting at the image of a red lord ever recovering his stolen throne.

"It never existed, only because Lilith wanted it to. She was a parasite and Raku was her host since the beginning."

~Yes, well…fallen ones do not fear the dark of their own hearts, yet the hearts of others' turns them to solid stone! ~

Slade growled and tossed over his table in a huff, going to check up on one more loose thread before it blew out the window into the sunset.

Anna dragged her hands over the band around her throat, the cooler was a closet of the highest military grade metal money could buy.

All for her, and soon she realized why Slade wasn't letting go. Kicking her legs into the side of the walls as she growled out and then screamed for anyone to let her go.

"SLADE!! I KNOW YOU'RE PROTECTING ME FROM THIS!! LET ME OUT! I CAN HELP!! HELP!! DON'T LET –

She gasped as the door slid back, Slade clambering inside with ghosts on his heels as he gripped her band and PULLED.

"Holy!"

"Shut up…you…. have to get…you… out…. hurry !"

"What?? I won't let you be used; you don't want this anymore than I do!"

Slade shoved her back, tossing a talisman to activate her magic by force onto the ground.

"Make a portal…find…. the Titans…. go ! Go, Anna! Don't look –

Slade's face froze in freeze frame before he yelled and grabbed it, the magic taking him over as Anna obeyed and stepped foot in a new city. Biting her lip, her tears were this close…he'd tried to save her…there was some good in that brute after all. Her dad was wrong…

Ava stumbled into a plane where the door was in front of her, yet she wanted to go back. Save her people, even if an invisible force was shoving her through.

"Ah!" She materialized "RPG style" and fell, her winged black raven span taking to the air as she swooped over a shaking Tokyo tower, her head throbbing as her eyes spied a similar calamity as her world was currently facing.

Ami was in Japan…she had to be!

"Take me to her….please, magic…mother…" She pleaded with her spirit to go forth and locate the one she'd come to assist, that maybe there –

Her body went ill, stiller as her ears popped out, long and elven, her skin turned even paler and her eyes….

No longer the lovely color of Ava, but ANYA as she dove, down to find her quarry.

This world was out of control, demons were once gods here and if she stayed, she could only be destroyed with her family by the ones responsible for reaping this world from all existence.

Ami ran as Kaede stayed beside the teen, while Haru used her Kyubei voice to tear at the youkai going wild due to this collapse of order between the spirit bounds.

"Where is –

Ami gasped and saw the sky shatter in pieces as people screamed, the word being DESTROYED.

"Ami! Where are you looking?" Kaede gripped the girl's wrist as she pulled, but the same winds that had tugged Ava through her winding path tugged at the mini miko. She was pulled to that tower, where the two would therein meet.

Hades was pleased, and with the sky clapping for her to go, the shards avoiding this spindle loving prophet, the day was once again to belong to the gods of old.
