Chapter 15: Blue

~ Who was I …. ~

Walking through time, Ava was back to the days in her grade school uniform. She peeked around to see the halls so wide. She could fall into them. Walking forwards, her time changed slowly, her hair and her eyes were as ice. As frost as she walked into adolescence.

~ I've got a blue house and a blue window. ~

She caught on to a sound. A song playing from her dad's old cds. They used to play…together, before she'd changed.

~ BLUE ARE THE WORDS I SAY AND WHAT I THINK. ~

The words grew louder, so she swung out her arms to cover her ears and ran. Her body, her high school freshman years, gone.

Chris.

All gone.

~ An empty hall filled with blue upon blue. ~

The blue in his shirt took over like blood, eating him away as any to a leaf as she cried out. Paint on the walls melded into a swatch of colors. White and grey and blue.

~ I'm blue. ~

"What? What do you want me to say?? That I was unhappy about being a human?? You're…you're wrong!!" She screamed as the walls cracked. They resembled large, bones. Bones of a fae, one she had left to die in the snow.

~ Blue are the feelings that live inside me…~

The cold room, so cold. Frost ruined her skin as it impaled her. The fallen foe was also frozen into a murky existence. She was then able to see a memory. A vision of her in battle attire atop Skadi's mountain.

~ Bury it. Don't leave its presence. The gods will come. ~ .

"Da be dee da v – – mom!!"

A nine-year-old Ava grumbled and crossed her arms, getting up as she we not to direct her pointer at the box on the shelf. "This music is so sad! I wanna hear something else." (She's listening to the Faouzia version. Because she is. Lol.)

"Your father has had a long day at work, he was…. very tired." Kori tossed her eyes to a drowned in cases Dick Grayson. The kind close to letting his "demon" free. "Come, Ava. You may help me prepare dinner in the kitchen. Dick, rest. You look pale." (Recall, Roku is still after his body and is waiting to corrupt the next Chosen.)

Aiden had blood seeping down his arm. Her magic again. Always her fear that it could go berserk. She saw him staring at her, in shock. Blonde and hazel, right through her. That was when he was defined as the Chosen. As her new ally when she'd never wanted to become an immortal like in those stories. (Next generation arc.)

"Ava…you…. you are hurting him…. why?" Kori was afraid to get too close, Dick was with Ami. No, this was fake. That was NOT how it happened.

She had blood on her fingers as she pulled away. "Aide. I…. I'm sorry! Why? What are you trying to tell me? I'm not her!! –

"No!" Ava pulled as the ice and blood and memories dragged her into its mass. Its body, as she screamed and tried to be brave. This was…. was so wrong…. she wasn't a hero. A monster, no…She was a diplomatic leader's first pick to bring a country back to life. She was…. was…

She began to weep, then she bawled.

~ I DIDN'T WANT TO BE HER! I WANT MY MOM, MY DAD BACK BUT, I NEVER WANTED TO…TO BE EVIL!! AAH – A!!!"

Fat tears dripped down her cheeks as she regressed, the demon sucking away her strength through her impressive aura.

She bawled as the demon fed, her ice melding to flesh as she addressed none of it. Transforming into what it wanted.

~ Recreate the world with me. Your shell is just as lively as hers…as your mother's. ~

Ava realized it as she wriggled to get free. " LIAR! The raven winged are dead walkers, reapers! They don't procreate!" Her eyes lit up white as she casted to get away from the tar like miasma. "You tricked me! You …. you're just a ceaseless destroyer without a soul. You're nothing like her!"

~ Yet you are, and your power can have the entire universe inside, back in the egg of creation where I want it. (TO CLARIFY! Ava was mistaken to be the incarnation and is, of Reia of the Raven Winged. The secret group that helped to protect the far north and the crystal palace of one that Ava is supposed to inherit. However, Ava left her own family, changed herself back in New Gen arc and even had to kill her corrupted and tainted only friend Chris to show that she was ready to be the world's queen. She is being told by this entity that it exists to consume and it is always hungry every time it comes across a body or planets that it wishes to devour. Sadly, Ava and Ami are Sun and moon, so as such with Raku(Eclipse) they have to escape and lock away or defeat this creature or the world will be shoved back into the Cosmic egg only to be devoured and rebirth over and over. Like frost and fire, one melts only to freeze it and it is eternal. He wants an unlimited buffet, but what was with him posing as a father figure then? Was it because he has the memories of Reia and the past inside his body because of the war she fought? Does it collect suffering and fuel itself off of that to exist and how did it get let free? We will get to that soon enough.)

Ami, if she could call out telepathically through the Speak. The language of the spirit world…

"DON'T YOU TOUCH MY LITTLE SISTER!" Ava shouted out. "You won't ever lay a finger on her…. I won't allow it."

The monster shuddered its body of waves of black tar. ~ No, but you shall wake her and steal that life to grant to me. It is yours to contain and once it is purified by your changed magic, I may eat her light for all eternity. You, as my vassal of unholy rites. ~

"NEVER, I'll never serve a demon that should never be seen. You crawled out of some pit of ends. Right? The void?? Where is your real home?? You can't-

~ Little fae queen, it won't matter. This is mine now. You both are, and the boy ethereal with his matched pair. ~

Ava's eyes went ocher than ever. "I…. said…. they are not for you to harm. I'm here, right? You don't need any more power. The balance will crash down on us all!"

The thing moved its tail to taste her fear as it touched Ava's face. A tendril of darkness, bringing ill tidings. ~ You won't need to worry. There will be no walls, no barriers left. The world will be round and full as the moon in my presence. ~ The demonic thing cackled in a low voice . ~ Now, to call in what is mine. You shall not speak. ~

The tendril twisted round her lips as she was gagged by it. Her teeth having no effect. Harder than ropes but gummy, adjustable. Alive…

~ Right, then we shall start with the first quarter of our meal~ The tendril of a snake like tongue darted out as it hunkered for the first . A young eternal made demi God to dissect. Ava shook her head, yet the bonds weakened her into a stupor.

She shook harder. Soul stealers did that! He was trying to make her a turned one!???

Raku was sure his power was growing faint. How was it possible? He'd made a pact to become a full-fledged part of himself until this battle was done. Then. He would stay and study magic on Earth. He'd be like Ami, gifted yet reserved only for emergencies. Hakuro was still inside the miasma, he was sure it was getting thicker. Raku used his abilities to turn into a ghost as he swam into the hole where a new gap was placed. A set of tunnels were sprawled every which direction. He swam through one as he heard a scram and sped up.

~ Ami. ~ Swallowing what he was, what she'd him as from the gift, he had to try to get there before the demon. ~ I'm using this form to only keep my promise. To my family, to them. ~ Raku looked at his gloved hands and sighed at the fact he'd not wanted this form. ( What form is that you ask? Recall, If Raku ages, he becomes more likely the copy of Roku in his appearance which freaks out his old foes. If Ami sees that he did this, it may mean she'll lose her trust in the cute kid he was until he changes back once they are all safe and sound. It's a Djinn thing.)

He ignored the ache and finally was on foot. ~ Ami! I'M HER-

The tendrils were ready as he faced it with an elegant blood red whip of fire and golden ashes. The were sent at the demonic thing as it drew back from his relics and power. Raku recalled none of this confidence in himself. Roku was cocky, sly and a devil with a dark past. He…. was none of those things any longer.

HE dragged his energy out as the screeching tendril was tugged. A new power, a power to see heat and the bodies the demon had sensed without eyes. He dragged it out and watched it pop. The tar evaporated before it could coat his tan skin. ~ You can't taint a literal daemon. ~ Snorted the male as he stomped through the muck as boots getting wet after a rain shower.

~ Ready or not, boar godless. ~ Sneered the angry God - like djinn. It cracked its knuckles and made his own skin crawl in doing so.

~ Set out my plate. Or, ELSE . ~

This is dark and will stay as dark as it has to. They are inside a nameless blob that is going to devour then recreate and devour the world again by having Ava as a reciprocal to transmit that power to him to keep his prizes in line forever. It's pretty bad. Why would a non-human entity do this? Because, it is the garbage of human greed and all the bad things and it finally is there as a test for the Chosen to face together. If they lose…. what will really happen? Find out!!
