Aiden Morningstar loves to wake up people in the early morning.

This may be a thing that started ever since he was five or six years old, and the undeniable joy it brought him to see the smiling faces of his parents open their eyes to an excited kid jumping in their bed. Or the annoyed faces his sisters would make whenever he didn't let them have their beauty sleep.

Yes. He knew exactly how to wake someone up. However, that did not mean it was enjoyable.

You know, maybe using the blender to make a smoothy at six in the morning wasn't the best idea. Aiden thought. Especially when there's a human sleeping in the house, a room away, and you're trying-but failing-to be quiet.

While Aiden makes a quick sandwich in the kitchen, he secretly takes another one of Rory's muffins. Already grinning at the thought of her sister's annoyed face when she sees that. Knowing how much her sister is protective over her sweets, he takes joy in torturing her with the concept.

Aiden stops his movement when his sensitive hearing picks up something approaching him from behind. The distinctive click of the safety catch is turned off, signaling the something is actually a someone, and an armored one at that.

"Leave the sandwich and turn around, young man."

He's lip curves into a smirk at hearing the all too well-known voice of Chloe Decker as she orders him. The distinctive authority in her speech is strong and perfectly fitting for the future Queen of Hell.

"Don't make me repeat myself." She warns, gun pointed at his figure.

The boy felt a rush of courage spread through him. Knowing exactly who he was dealing with, he decides to gamble with the situation. "And what if I don't? Will you shoot me, Detective?"

Hearing him call her Detective makes Chloe hesitate for a second. But not to let herself become soft over the way the teenager spoke to her, she stands her ground. Sensing the overly daring attitude from the boy, she decides to see how reckless he can be. "That's Lieutenant to you. And bearing in mind that you're in my house in the middle of the night, as long as you cooperate I might consider leaving you without a graze."

"Let me guess—" Aiden asks, eyebrow rises, before turning around slowly. "—the right thigh, or the left shoulder?"

Chloe ignores the comment about him knowing her signature warning shots. "You're really lucky I'm off the clock right now, or otherwise I would drag your behind to the station. Or worse... call your parents."

"That wouldn't work."

"Oh really? Okay. I'll play along, Smartass. Why's that?"

"Well for one, we don't really get that kind of service in Hell." Aiden says, moving closer. "And two, even if you did manage to call, it's a dead end anyway considering—"

Chloe's face turns thoughtful as she realizes. "Aiden?"

"...How did you know?"

"Lucifer." Chloe's eyes brighten as the glitter of water covers her eyes. She immediately lowers her weapon and discards it onto the kitchen isle. "He told me, years ago. If we ever had a son, he would want to name him Aiden." Chloe moves closer to his towering frame. She carefully places her hand against his left cheek which he leads into.

Chloe doesn't even realize she's tried to hold her breath when she exhales. Her smiles grows when she eyes the young man before her.

"You look just like him." She sobs while trying to smile at her son. Her other hand carefully brushes his dirty blond hair. But her gaze can't help but linger on his blue pair of pupils. "And you have my eyes..." My hair. Chloe eyes glaze with water as she places her palm against her mouth. This is real.

"And you look—"

"Don't say old." A sad laugh escapes her lips.

"I was going to say mature." Aiden bites his lip not to make fun of her when he moves closer. A genuine smile forming on his lips when he wraps his arms around her into his warm embrace "Hi, Mom."

Chloe responds by hugging him tightly. Apart of her cannot believe this is happening and yet she doesn't care one bit. If this is really her son, she will love him as much as she does her daughters. Speaking of daughters.

"Wait." She pauses, pulling back from him. "Have you already met Rory? Did you talk to her?"

"I did." Aiden answers while holding back the amusement at seeing his mom's face covered in a million different questions.

"How much did you tell her?"

"Not much." He moves back and crosses his arms. "Just that I'm from the future and I need her help to get back home."

"Okay. That's good." She rubs her hands together, concentrating. The gears in Chloe's head already start to turn in ways to avoid making any mistakes that could potentially damage Rory's time loop. "Don't tell her anything important."

"Like what?"

"That you're my son."

"Why not?" Aiden's face falls at Chloe's words, eyebrows furrowing. "Telling her something as minor like I'm your son isn't going to change anything."

"It's complicated. And maybe for the best that you don't."

Aiden chest heaves as he inhales. Obviously not happy about the fact that he will have to keep things from Rory, to which he's seemingly not used to. "Dad wouldn't like this." He mumbles first but becomes curious. "Where is he anyway? And Trix?

"Lucifer's in Hell. And Trixie's training in Texas."

"Right..." The Nephilim nods, connecting the answers with his own knowledge. "...future Queen of Mars. Should have figured. But why aren't you with Dad?"

"It's a long story." She sighs.

"How long?"

"Very long."

"I've got time."

This erupts a laugh out of Chloe at the sheer determination Aiden must get his answers makes her see him like herself when she was a young detective in training, asking question left and right.

Soon a door opens and closes, accompanying with Rory footsteps.

"Really, Aiden?" Rory says looking annoyed when she finds him in the kitchen with her mother. "I leave you alone for two minutes to use the bathroom, and you already manage to wake Mom up..."

The three of them managed to occupy the rest of the morning with confusion and the existence revolving around the new family member's presence in the house.

"Do you have any idea why Rory sent you back in time?" Chloe asks sitting on the couch in the living room besides Rory, while Aiden sits on recliner across from them.

The Nephilim moves slightly in his seat. Debating on what he can or shouldn't say.

Rory finds this interesting. Not the silence, but rather the idea that she plays a part in her brother being here. "I can't believe I have powers. I have no idea how to even make toast without burning the toaster to the ground, let alone how to warp people to a different timeline."

Aiden sighs at hearing his sister's usual sense of humor for everything. "You have done it before, I've seen it."

"I still don't understand why I would want to send you back in time thought."

Chloe nods at what Rory's words, making Aiden scratch the back of his neck. "It doesn't matter, what does is that you know how to use them."

"Until now, I wasn't even aware that I had powers, let alone a big brother."

"Well actually, I'm not, but I guess technically in this time, I am..."

"That's so weird." Rory shakes her head.

"I know."

"Ah." Rory groans, holding her head to try and make sense of the matter. "Why does time travel have to be so damn complicated?"

Aiden sighs, leaning back in his seat. "Says the one with the powers."

Chloe smiles at the two Nephilims in the room. The evident desire to let Lucifer bare witness this moment is making her impatient. In her mind, the future could not come any sooner.

"Aiden, if you're here, then does that mean Lucifer is alive?" Rory suddenly asks, at the same time worried of the answer.

Aiden's gaze sifts to Chloe's, hoping to find some guidance in her eyes. But the moment she slightly shakes her head in disagreement, Aiden is already made up his mind. "Yes. Why wouldn't he be?"

Without Rory seeing, Chloe's facials visibly turn disapproving over the statement. The young man however raises a brow at her, almost questioning her at why he would need to lie to Rory about something their parents. Especially the very alive King of Hell.

"Then he didn't die that night." "Rory quietly mumbles to herself, eyes dropping to the ground to ponder.

"I could talk to Amenadiel about your situation." Chloe suddenly interrupts the topic. "Maybe he might find the time to help us."

Aiden shakes his head in disagreement. "He's no use. He doesn't help like that." He uses finger quotes and tries to mimic God. "It would be interference with your freewill—as he would say."

"Well then..." Chloe tries to think of a solution. Her gaze lands on Rory who has become very quiet in her seat. "I guess, in the meantime, you'll be staying with us until we come up with a way to get you back home."

A sudden ring of the doorbell fills the room, putting a halt to their conversation. And making Chloe get up and answer who's behind the door.

"Hey, Chloe!"

To her surprise, three figures appear. Maze and Eve. Maze being dressed in her usual dark attire and Eve's light white sundress. The two were honestly like Ying and Yang sometimes.

The couple makes their way in along with their sixteen-year-old daughter.

"You guys! I'm so glad you're here." Chloe greets them with a hug, before pulling away, and smiling warmly at their daughter. "Hi, Souline."

"Hi, Ms. Decker." Souline says, while pushing lock of hair back behind her ear. Her hair tie holding up her brown curly hair in nice ponytail.

"It's Chloe. You know that silly. Come on in."

Maze is the one who immediately catches unfamiliar essence of someone in the room with Rory. "Who's this?"

Chloe is quick to answer her. "Rory's brother. From the future."

"Omg!" Eve sees him and follows Maze into the living room. "He is such a cutie!" She squeals while hovering over a slightly embarrassed Aiden when she starts pinching his cheeks.

"Aunt Eveee..." He whines for her to stop cuddling him like a baby.

Aunty Maze smirks at the scene, feeling worried for the boy who get his cheeks pinched by your typical aunt. "Love, stop it. You're torturing the poor kid."

"Only learned from the best." Is her only answer.

A hand lightly touches Rory's shoulder from behind, making her loose her train of thought.

"Is that?" Soul quietly whispers to her.

"Mr. Morningstar? Yup." Rory turns her head and meets a pair of brown eyes looking at her.

"...Can I talk to you?"

Rory stops looking at the Maze and Eve talking and bickering over something her brother said.

"...That makes sense." Eve ponders over the fought. "He doesn't like me therefor we must be divorced in the future!" She suddenly says, making an irrational assumption.

"That doesn't make any sense, Eve." Maze says, trying to calm her wife down.

"See. You're already disagreeing with me." Eve places her hands on her hips, making Maze turn her lowered gaze on the boy.

"If it's true, then he would know. Isn't that right, Aiden?" Maze asks seriously, her tone turning dangerous.

"Um..."

Rory turns her gaze from Aiden and back to Souline. She nods, getting up and excusing themselves to her room. Not that it matters as the attention is on two curious aunts continue to ask questions from Aiden.

Rory shuts her door when they enter her room. Feeling relieved in the comfort of the safe space. But the moment she turns around, two pair of arms trap her against to the door, pulling a squeek from her lips.

"Soul!" Rory gasps at the sudden movement.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" Soul begins, her voice energetic and her mind filled with questions as her brown eyes scan Rory's. "That he was actually your freaking brother!"

Rory swallows at the sudden close proximity, eyebrows lowering.

"I was worried."

"Sorry, but I was kind of busy being flown across the city by Aiden Airlines."

"Wait. Since when do you use a plain for transportation?"

Rory rolles her eyes. "No. I meant like being caught by my doofus of a brother. Look in short, I jumped after him while I still thought he was Lucifer. But my wings didn't come out. So, he saved me." Rory grabs ahold of Soul's arms and gently removes herself from the tight place and makes her way to left side of her bedroom. Forgeting the stupid moment.

Opening the doors to the closet, where countless clothes among clothes reside. A pretty place she and Soul would use as a hiding spot whenever they were playing games with Trixie when they were younger.

Without thought, Rory moves the clothes to the side to make room. Showing a plain curtain against the wall behind the closet. Locating a string, she pulls on it and curtain lifts, revealing detailed filled map consisting of names, pictures, location and theories. All but connected to one man. Lucifer Morningstar.

Soul crosses her arms together at seeing the progress Rory has made over time.

Rory finds the upper part of the map and pulls off any theories that have been marked as 'dead'. She sighs, crumpling up all the clues that indicated of her father's death, and throws them into the wastebin. "At least it's progress."

Soul hears the faint sorrow in her friend's voice and immediately goes to comfort her. "You'll find him." A warm hand is placed onto Rory's shoulder.

"How do you know that, Soul?"

"Because I have faith in you."

The morning light scares off the remaining darkness of the shadows in the teenager's room. The warmth creeps up and over Rory's sleeping body as she's still consumed by blissful dreams.

The young Nephilim's eyes slight move under her eyelids and the faint feeling of her nose starts to itch. Without thought, and still half asleep, Rory scratches the spot on her skin. But in doing so, she accidently moves her hand thoughtlessly against something near her head. Nocking the object off its balance and pouring its icy cold water onto Rory head.

A sharp yelp fills the house when the girl bolts up from her bed. Shocked and feeling gross from the cold water covering and sticking against her skin through her wet pajamas.

"That's one way to wake a snoring Albanian field wench."

Rory eyes snap towards the source of the voice. A snickering Aiden all dressed and leaning against the side of the open door, smiling vigorously enough to show off his pearly white teeth.

"Morning."

Funnily enough, Rory didn't seem that cheery to see him. If she could, Rory would burst into flames by stupid prank. "What the Hell, Aiden!?" She grabs her wet pillow and throws it at the stupid boy. "Really? A wet wake-up call!?"

Unfortunately for Rory, the Nephilim dodges it, making her snarl through her teeth.

Aiden laughs, but ultimately gets the request and grabs a towel throws it to Rory before leaving the room and angry occupant alone. "Get dressed or we'll be late for school."

Rory eyes widen as she yells after him. "We?"

Well first, I would like to thank you all for being patient with me for this update. And second, for me, it was very frustrating to write this chapter as I had to constantly rewrite it. But I hope it was worth the wait.

I don't know about you, but I'm very excited for the next chapters.

What did you all think of this one? Did it answer some of your burning questions or did it create new ones? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a review. Plus! It's free too and it keeps me writing.

Thank you to all of you who reviewed the last chapter! I really enjoyed your feedback. But two reviews really stood out. The one guest who left me huge essay honeslty made me smile by how invested you are in the story. I hope I answered some of your burning questions. And to answer the last guest's comment—I believe there's a popular quote that says:

"Keep your expectations low and you'll never be disappointed."

To anyone else who did not like how Season 6 ended, then you will probably not like how this one ends either.

Aside all of that. Remember to be kind to one another.

See you soon, my lovely Detectives,

Love ya!
