It's been a long few months for Tara. Between working long hours at St. Thomas, not to mention taking care of Abel Jax's son, who should be going home in a few days, and not to mention she's still dealing with her ex-boyfriend Joshua, Tara is extremely exhausted with little sleep. She hasn't even been back in her apartment yet and it's been almost two weeks. As much as Tara doesn't mind staying at Jax's for a while, she still needs to get back to her apartment and soon.
Taking a sip of her coffee, Tara sighed softly as she set her cup down on the kitchen table. As she began to think about what's going on between her and Jax lately, she realized they've been spending a lot of time together recently and growing closer again. They've been close ever since she saved his son the night he was born. Tara loves Jax; there's no denying it, even if she tries to convince herself otherwise. She knows in her heart that she loves him. It's always been Jax for her. But there's just one little problem - Wendy, Jax's ex-wife. Jax's divorce from Wendy isn't quite finalized yet, but it will be soon, along with the custody agreement. Jax is filing for full custody of their son, Abel, making sure that Wendy has no contact with him.
Hearing the front door open, Tara looked over to the side as she noticed Gemma walking in. Gemma has been doing that a lot lately, especially when Tara is around, and it's already getting on Tara's nerves. Tara really wants to get along with Gemma for Jax's sake, but Gemma isn't making it easy.
" I thought you would be back in your apartment by now." Gemma said as she poured herself a cup of coffee before she joined Tara at the table. Ever since Gemma spotted the handgun in Tara's purse at her house during dinner, she couldn't help but worry that Tara could be in kind of trouble and for some reason whatever she has going on, Jax is involved some how.
" Yeah, me too." Tara said under her breath as she took another drink." If you're looking for Jax, he just left with Opie about an hour ago." She said as she got up from the table and walked towards the sink to rinse her coffee cup out.
" Actually, I came over to talk to you."
Tara raised her eyebrows for a moment before crossing her arms over her chest. "You came to talk to me," she said, shaking her head and raising her eyebrow. "Why?"
" I'm still trying to figure out this thing between you and Jax. You left Charming because you want something more in life. So you left for College, moved to Chicago to become a doctor and now here you are back eleven years later, working at a small hospital. Sold your childhood home to just move into a small apartment and getting closer to Jax again."
Tara snorted a laugh and shook her head."You know, you've been spending a lot of time worrying about my life. Do I really scare you that much, Gemma?"
" I'm not worried about you, just the people you touch. Jax is in a real bad place right now. You should really stay clear of him." Gemma answered as she got up and set her coffee cup into the sink.
" We're not nineteen anymore. You can't dictate what he does or who he sees, besides there's really nothing going on between me and Jax. We're just hanging out that's it. But if something actually does happen between us and it becomes something more, you will be the first one to know about it."
" Fair enough." Gemma said with a nod as she opened up her purse and pulled out a gun." I honestly don't know why you're carrying a gun. But I thought maybe you can have one that doesn't have serial numbers and doesn't trace back to you." She said as she hands the gun over to Tara.
Tara reluctantly takes the gun from Gemma as she looks at it before looking back at Gemma. "Why did you invite me over for dinner two weeks ago? If you're still worried about me and Jax getting closer, why did you?"
Gemma turned around as she shrugged her shoulders a little."Because you saved my grandson," she said. "Abel's alive because of you, and it was my way of saying thank you."Gemma answered with a nod as she turned back around and walked out of the front door, closing it behind her.
Looking at the gun in her hand, Tara exhaled deeply and shook her head before placing it back in her bag. She knew something; a lot more than what she had been saying. Tara wasn't quite sure what Gemma knew exactly, but she would find out soon enough.
Coming back from Lodi and pulling into the lot with Opie and Chibs, as he parked his Dyna Jax noticed a silver Honda pulling into the lot. Getting off his dyna as he set his helmet on his handle bar he looked over at Opie and Chibs." Why don't you guys head into the club house."
" Are you sure Jackie boy?" Chibs asked as he didn't feel right leaving Jax alone with the ATF.
Jax nods his head as he clapped his hand against Chibs back." I will be fine brother." He said as he gave his brothers another nod as he watched them walking towards the club house. Pulling out his knife as he walked towards Kohn's car and quickly ran his knife through the car and pulled it out as soon fuel started to spill out.
" Vandalism, deadly weapon. That's six months in county asshole." Kohn hissed as soon as he got out of the car and into Jax's face.
" Violating a restraining order, you'll be in a cell next to me, did they teach you how to suck a dick in ATF school?" Jax asked with a smirk.
" Bad ass biker, Does Tara know about your club's extra activities?"
Jax scoffs as he shook his head." You guys gave it your best shot. You got nothing on Samcro and you harassing Tara, that ends here... or next time it won't be a piece of shit car I'm draining fluid from."
" You threatening a federal agent?"
" I'm threatening you, go away and leave Tara alone. This is my last warning." Jax said as he turned around and walked back towards the club house. Jax was this close of killing Kohn right outside of the club house. But he promised Tara that the club wasn't gonna find out the real reason why Kohn is in town.
Josh scoffs as he watched Jax walking back to the club house. Jax's threats doesn't really scare him. Josh needs to get Tara away from Jax and the club and soon. He's not sure how he's gonna do it, but he's gotta move fast or he will lose her. Getting back into his car Josh quickly speeds out of the lot heading back towards the police station.
