Luz went into town with the bag of potions over her shoulder, and her snake wrapped tightly around her.

"Alright, Titan, are you ready for this adventure?" Luz asked, "A new world, new plants, new animals, a place my mom hasn't touched and I can make my own legacy."

Titan flicked his tongue out.

"No, I am not just running away from my problems." Luz said, "I am not just upset that- you know what? I'm not going to have this conversation. Let's just-"

Luz wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone and knocked them to the ground. She looked down and saw a shorter-than-average, plus-sized and stocky girl with has light skin, pointed ears, olive green eyes, and short, neat, dark navy-blue hair with a few loose strands. She was wearing some kind of uniform with pink sleeves and legs.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry!" Luz said.

The person she bumped into grabbed her glasses and put them back on.

"It's fine, I wasn't really paying attention to where I was walking."

Luz put the sack down and helped the girl up.

"Still, I'm really sorry for bumping into you." Luz said, "I'm Luz, by the way."

"I'm Willow." Willow said, before noticing Titan, "Uh... you have a... creature... around you."

"Oh, Titan? He's harmless." Luz said, petting the reptile, "I've raised him since he was in his egg. Unless you try and hurt me, he'll be your best friend."

Willow's eyes darted to Luz's ears.

"You're human?!" Willow said in shock.

"Well, not real-"

"How did you get to the Boiling Isles!? Is it true that humans have conquered giraffes!? Did you guys really have giant reptiles walking before you came around!?" Willow asked, "Oh my Titan, you need to meet my friend Augustus, he has always wanted to meet a human!"

"Uh, that would be cool, but I'm kind of working right now and need to deliver these potions." Luz said.

"I can have him meet us at the place you bring these!" Willow said, already pulling out a scroll.

'Guess I could use some people to show me around.' Luz thought.

Willow and Luz began to walk around the town, with Luz being interested in all the weird and crazy things and people of the realm.

"This place is soooo cool." Luz said, "I wish I came here sooner."

"I'm glad you like it, we should be coming up on the place you need to go now, Augustus should be here, ah here he comes." Willow said.

Luz noticed a small boy, with brown skin and dark brown hair with lighter shades in the back. He had pointed ears, like everyone else, and his face was pretty round and slightly chubby. He clearly doesn't look like he's even reached puberty yet. He was wearing a uniform like Willow, except his had cyan arms and legs.

"Luz, meet Augustus, he's my best friend." Willow said, "Augustus, this is Luz, she's-"

"A Human!?" Augustus said, "Oh, Titan, this is the greatest day ever."

Titan looked up and Luz patted his head.

"It's okay, they're not talking about you." Luz said before looking back at Augustus, "So, you're Augustus, huh? Mind if I call you Gus?"

"A human nickname!?" Gus asked, "This is the best thing to ever happen to me! Can I ask you a couple hundred questions about humans?"

'Well, I guess I did grow up on Earth, so I could answer his questions.' Luz thought.

"Okay, but let's do that after I get this thing delivered." Luz said.

They walked up to a large stone castle looking building. The three of them looked at each other and had a feeling that something was off.

"Well, this should be interesting." Luz said, entering the building, "Hello? Potion delivery!"

"Uh, Luz, this is a bit weird, are you sure this is safe?" Willow asked.

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you guys." Luz said, "Just let me handle this."

Right as she said that, a wizard come into the room.

"Hello, young ones, what can I do for you?" He asked.

"Uh, I have a delivery from Ms. Clawthorne." Luz said.

"Hmm, I was expecting Eda herself to deliver it." The wizard said.

"Well... she's a bit busy today." Luz said, getting a little worried about this.

"I see... hmmm... I've never seen a creature such as you before." The wizard said.

'And neither have billions of humans.' Luz thought.

"Well, I'm Luz, and you are?"

"I am Adegast, and I can tell you are a strong girl, probably stronger than most witches." Adegast said as he looked at Luz, thinking for a second, "Say, young lady, I have a question for you. How would you like to go on a quest?"

"A quest?" Luz asked, "Color me intrigued."

Adegast handed her a rolled up map and took the bag of potions. The trio walked out and Willow and Gus looked at her.

"Luz, you should know that this is-"

"Probably a trap set up to lure someone, probably Eda the Owl Lady, into a death trap? Yeah, I know." Luz said, putting the map in her pocket, "But if he's willing to use children in order to do that, I think I should do it so I can stop him from doing that again. Now, are you going to help me and stop him, because I can easily do this on my own."

Gus and Willow looked at each other.

"Well, I don't have anything else planned for the day." Willow said.

"Anything if it means I get to hang out with a human." Gus said.

Luz smiled and her eyes became more cat like, one of the only animals that likes to toy with its prey before killing it... just like what she's going to do to Adegast.
