Luz was a god, which meant she didn't need to eat, drink, sleep, she didn't even need to use the bathroom... which is why it was so surprising that she was exhausted after everything that happened over night with the Owl Beast, the robot, the rain, trying to find a way to fix Eda. After getting everything fixed, Luz was pretty okay with just taking a light nap for the next millennia, and she was happy with it... for the first five minutes into her thousand year nap. Eda was normal again, and decided to wake Luz up.
"Hey, Kid, wake up!" Eda said.
"Go... away." Luz said.
"Sorry, not going to happen, my couch, my house, and you're not the Titan, so I don't think you have any actual godly authority here." Eda said, "Come on, I just want to know if I did anything while I was the... Owl Beast."
Luz smirked.
"Nope, nothing at all." Luz said.
Last Night, after beating the robot:
"King, look, she knows tricks!" Luz said, holding a bread roll, "Sit!"
The Owl Beast sat.
"Roll over!"
The Owl Beast rolled over.
"Play dead!"
The Owl Beast closed her eyes and stuck her tongue out.
"Good girl." Luz said, tossing the bread roll.
Present:
"I don't like that look on your face." Eda said.
"Oh well." Luz said, "So, you going to let me sleep or are you going to drag me off to some adventure? I mean, I have wanted to see this Titan for a bit but the only thing big enough to not get eaten is a quetzalcoatlus, but I don't think I want everyone to see the largest animal to ever fly, I may have a small group of people that know I'm a God, but I don't want the world knowing."
"Speaking of Titan, don't you have to go feed your snake?" Eda asked.
"Already did." Luz said, "He's napping on a heat rock."
"And that is?"
"A rock that I held over a fire for an hour." Luz said, before sitting up, "Hey, I wanted to know... who are... the Blights?"
Eda went stiff.
"Kid, I don't need you messing with that family... bad things will happen." Eda said.
Luz wanted to ask more, but there was a knock on the door before she could say anything. Luz walked over to the door, but not before giving Eda a look with Jaguar eyes.
"We're not done with this conversation." Luz said, before opening the door and seeing Willow and Gus on the other side, "Hey, what's up?"
"The Annual Covention is today, we wanted to know if you wanted to come." Willow said.
"Covention?" Luz asked, "What's that."
"It's where young witches can come and learn about the different Covens before officially joining one." Gus said.
"So... a job fair for witches?" Luz asked.
"It's just teaching kids about that corrupted system!" Eda said.
Luz looked at Willow and Gus.
"Hold on for a second." Luz said before dragging Eda to another part of the house, "Okay, I've been to the prison, I know that this place has a corrupt system, but I want to know more about this system before I find out what to do about it. I'm not asking you to come, just let me go check it out, I mean, what's the worst thing that'll happen, I die?"
"Kid, I don't want them to-"
"Eda, I'm a god. I can control plants, turn into living AND dead animals, and I have enough strength to punch someone into the sun." Luz said, "One call, and I can have my uncle show up, and trust me... no one escapes from Uncle Azrael, he always gets them eventually."
The way Luz said that concerned Eda, but she figured the less she knew about Luz's family, the better.
"He's that powerful?" Eda asked.
"No one can escape death." Luz said, "No matter how hard they try."
Luz walked with her friends out of the Owl House. Eda looked around.
"No one can escape death, huh?" Eda asked, before pulling a picture out of her hair, "Yeah... I know that better than anyone."
She looked at the picture and felt anger.
"I know she's responsible for your death... I just know it." Eda said, "I don't know how, and I don't know when, but I'll make sure she gets what's coming to her... like Luz said... no one escapes death, she isn't any different!"
Elsewhere, a person in a white robe and gold mask walked up to a person sitting in a throne. They kneeled down and didn't look up.
"The Abomiton... was destroyed."
"Shame." The person in the throne said, "I knew the Owl Lady wouldn't give the key up so easily."
"It... wasn't the Owl Lady that destroyed it... the camera caught a view of someone... a human... with control over plants."
The person on the throne went stiff.
"Leave, Golden Guard." The person said, "I need to speak with the Titan in peace."
"Yes, Emperor Belos." The Golden Guard said.
The Golden Guard turned and left the room. Emperor Belos stood up and began pacing around the room.
"It couldn't be... what is SHE doing here?" Belos said.
If anyone was around, they would swear they heard the one thing they never thought they would hear... Belos speaking in fear.
"She shouldn't be here... it has to be a mistake!" Belos exclaimed, "If she's really here then everything I've worked on will have been for nothing! I need to play this safe, the Draining Spell is only a few months from completion."
