Humans and the System Alliance
Wars/Conflicts
The First Contact War
The First Contact War was a long and brutal conflict that pushed both sides to their limits, beginning on April 4th, 2157. The expanding human forces, facing a seemingly insurmountable foe, were forced to take drastic measures to survive against the alien Turians, whose technology and experience far-outclassed their own. Through a chance encounter, the humans - in desperation - formed an unlikely alliance with the Krogans, a race of hardened reptilian warriors with a penchant for brutality and violence.
Military propaganda and art across Earth and its few infantile colonies of humans, back-to-back with their new allies. Despite initial reservations and cultural differences, the humans and Krogans found common ground and eventually, after a short decade, they found great success while fighting alongside each other. This newfound alliance proved to be a turning point in the war, and they were able to push back against the Turians through the most destructive means. It became a war of terror. As the intergalactic conflict raged on, the humans and Krogans became ever more hardened and battle-scarred.
The Council became involved. Humans were forced to confront the worst of themselves, forced to ask themselves the question of what they were willing to do for victory. It turned out, there was little they would not do.
The beautiful asari race was the first to be conquered. Through new technologies developed by the most deranged minds in humanity, a collar was created that enabled complete control and or disruption of a biotic's powers. At the time, human morality had already reached a desolate state.
The "treaty" drawn up after human leadership landed on the asari home world, Thessia, striking at the heart in secret, would have consequences for generations to come. In short, through forced marriage partnerships and slavery, many of the once-noble asari were reduced to nothing but common whores, "wives", and slaves. Their powers were sealed away and controlled by humans, leaving them helpless. Although many escaped, the new reputation that spread about the blue-skinned species was inescapable even for the most innocent and prudish of that proud folk.
As for the Turians, a sort of common ground was found in the negotiation process. After so much conflict, mutual respect and the realization of each other's refusal to die out built in both sides. After much discussion, it was agreed that Turians would be allowed to keep most of their territory in exchange for their silence and agreement to not interfere with the matter of the asari, as well as the signing of a permanent ceasefire with a path to future partnership. The Turians were more than willing to make the deal. This agreement came as a surprise to many and resulted in a shift of power. Over the span of many years humanity, Turians, and Krogans became the lead races on the council, dictating to all the others.
The Salarians were not so lucky as the Turians, and were all but wiped out by the Krograns, and the new galactic leadership structure, based on the thriving patriarchy which existed on both sides of the war, took hold; this meant that competition, power, and war became the norm, the lifeblood of those who took to space. The old prerogative of peace was swept away, and the trading of flesh spread like hot fire as millions of asari were spread around the galaxy, passed around like cattle, helpless and abandoned, their survivors in a far-off place, slowly building their power.
Chapter One
Pacing slowly back and forth in front of the line of beautiful asari livestock, the biotic warrior's hollow, boot-clad steps made Liara flinch. Tall, statuesque, bronze-skinned, with crimson hair in a short, half-shave style; a pirate and slaver, The Shepard.
Even though Liara - just like all other asari - had grown to hate humans, Liara didn't hate them as much as she wanted to. Especially not this one. Liara wondered desperately what had brought the formidable-seeming human to this position.
She was beautiful behind her scars, her dark, twisted expression and tattoos. But her eyes offset her prettiness, so sinister and intense; Shepard's crimson gaze burned like cinders, never leaving her many playthings for even a moment, but never lingering on any particular "female" for too long. She did not smile, did not ever express approval or appreciation, it was as if the passion had been stripped out of her - the slave trade was a mere series of motions for her, petty labor. It was life and death for everyone else. Liara should have resented Shepard for her clear detachment, but she didn't.
She found herself curious, wondering what the slaver was thinking - wanted to show her a different way, however impossible that might seem.
Next to her, Liara's mother noticed her fascinated expression. "Have you lost your mind? Liara? Liara!"
Trembling, Liara glanced sideways at Benezia. "W-what is it?" She whispered back.
"What are you thinking about, fool daughter? That hope in your eyes… kill it." Her voice emerged as a harsh whisper, eyes flashing with fear, and distant disappointment, "Did you learn nothing from Saren?"
"…."
"We cannot change these people, Little Wing… I'm sorry," Benezia sounded drained, her voice taut with a natural despondency. She had no hope left. "They see us as less than animals."
Considering the current situation that was likely true: Liara and all her fellow slaves were set in a fifteen person row, each asari individually bound and collared. In her hand, the Shepard held a datapad, no doubt it carried information on all of the asari currently present, the "merchandise" this particular pirate lord had bought so recently: how much she'd paid for them, the details. Rumor said the Shepard bought in batches, and discarded those she had no desire or need for. And it was true that for many years they'd been treated as less than animals, they were objects now, in all but spirit.
Not the worst ship Liara and Benezia had been on - three owners ago they'd been subjected to the hardest labor of their life. The Batarians, Terminus Space, had been even worse than the territory of the humans. She would do anything to not end up back there, as would Benezia. That was why, with Captain Saren, Benezia had used her all to rope him in, seduce him, CHANGE him.
She'd been optimistic, bred that hope in Liara, and now expected her "naive daughter" to banish those feelings.
But she wouldn't. Anyone could change.
Their former "handler" Saren had been unbelievably treacherous, turning them over for a pretty penny to random slavers, and via them, the Shepard. Liara still didn't understand exactly why he'd sent them away after forming an intense emotional bond with her mother. But just because HE betrayed Benezia didn't mean it would always be that way. There had to be someone who wasn't like all the rest, who had a wise, warm heart beneath their cold exterior, had to be someone that needed, wanted more for the asari. Saren, their past owners, were the exceptions, not the rule.
Liara had to believe that. Otherwise, why was she born? Why were asari born, created? To suffer? To be slaves? To be punished for their pride, their careless assumptions about the child-like humanity, their refusal to take war with the fledgling race seriously until it was too late…!?
Then, suddenly, it was like she was back there. And Thessia was falling again, the control collars put around their necks, their homes destroyed, and powers - everything! - stripped from them.
Liara's morbid train of thoughts ceased as she stared at the pacing pirate, the solid thump of her boots somehow soothing. Shepard's beauty entranced her. There had to be good in there, somewhere. She'd find it. Unlike her mother, she'd use real love, not manipulation.
Liara's innocent feelings were abruptly ripped, stolen from her.
"You there - yes, you. Spread your azure for me," Shepard ordered in a cool, distant voice to the slave at the start of the line.
Sahena was a former commando, a rugged asari just out of youth who still clung desperately to the pride of their people's former military glory even though they lost it what felt like so long ago. The tall, athletic asari, whose angular, turquoise-coloured face was marked with swirling white wisps, glowered at the pirate leader, teeth bared like fangs, her eyes flashing with full fury. She was Liara's friend, a passionate person who likely thrived in their old way of life, but right now she seemed more beast than asari.
"I don't take orders. You want it?! Come and spread it yourself human scum! See what happens if you touch me."
Shepard glanced at the data-pad. "You being a 'problem case' seems to be true. Only 200 credits, chump change."
"It's my fault. I was the one who picked her out. She acted coy when their captain presented them," A pink-clad pirate sighed, shaking her dark head. "Poor judgment on my part."
Shepard offered the human woman a warm, genuine smile - the first Liara had seen so far. It softened her entire face, and her eyes seemed to lose their darkness. "Ashley, you know I appreciate the feisty type as long as the bitch is pretty. Besides," The redhead stepped closer to Sahena, staring the former militant right in the eyes, "It's always good to have one to make an example of."
Sahena jerked against her bindings, face full of vicious determination. She gnashed her teeth, and her body flared with a faint vivid light - biotics. Of course, her powers fizzled out, and the former soldier began shrieking when the biotic blocker around her neck rejected her attempts to summon forth her natural, latent talents, and instead sent a wave of crimson sparks across her body. Her eyes shot wide, the veins in her neck straining as she jerked this way and that like a doll, sweat seeming to erupt across her skin.
Sahena was the kind of asari who didn't care how pointless it was trying to use her biotics; she would always try, always resist, until one day a human finally put her out of her misery; that was how she saw it. She wore her scars proudly.
Liara couldn't stand to watch. Teary-eyed, she looked away. A hush passed across the row of gathered alien slaves, no one dared to speak up. They all knew the reputation of The Shepard.
The infamous pirate captain did not say anything as she walked about a foot away from Sahena, and, with no warning, raised a pistol to the asari's head. "You don't have any value. You're a discard. I will kill you if I find the desire… Do you want me to, slave?"
Spoken so coolly, crimson eyes unblinking.
"Y-You don't have to act like such a tyrant. We're already helpless." The words burst out of Liara. As a former researcher, a scientist, it was second nature for her to expect kindness from everyone even after all the despair in her life. Her bright blue eyes shined with a gentle, unbreakable optimism as she stared boldly at the lead human.
A gasp went down the line. Benezia stared at her, half in concern, half enraged; Liara kept her gaze down and did not look up, but she heard the Shepard approach. The hollow thud-thud-thud of Shepard's feet as she moved steadily, steadily, closer to Liara. The asari tried not to say anything, couldn't help but whimper when a pair of combat boots crossed her line of sight.
"Perhaps you'd like to spread your azure for me instead."
Liara froze. Slowly, she looked up, and her brain seemed to stop working as she met those haunting red eyes, the dark bags underneath them evidence of many sleepless nights, giving them a hollow edge. It was like staring into the eyes of a dead woman. Shepard smiled slowly and inhaled.
"You're so frightened." The tall, broad-shouldered woman drifted ever closer, pressed her nose to Liara's throat, and inhaled again, moaning softly this time. "Fear-sweat…." She raised a hand, and skimmed a few fingers across Liara's soft blue skin. "And yet you spoke up against me. Such a lovely little lamb I have before me. Now, use those pretty purple lips of yours, speak up. Tell me your name."
"Liara… and outside of providing you that information I won't do what you've asked," The gentle researcher murmured, although it frightened her to say it.
"You won't show me your body?"
"N-No. Not unless you force me, but it doesn't have to be that way."
Laughter erupted across the room from the human crewmen present. Shepard smirked. Liara felt like she was smoldering inside, the slow stroke of the space pirate's gaze making her ache, not to mention the husk in the human's voice. "Ah, how should it be then?"
"You should be kind to us. We've already been passed around to five different-"
"Five different slave ships? Five? How horrible!" The Shepard burst into mocking laughter, "I've seen the trade records. You're a bunch of useless asari, nothing but no-good holes. Don't you realize the time of your people has passed? Your homeworld doesn't even belong to you anymore, and yet you keep up this…." Shepard swept her gaze from Liara, to Sahena, then back to the speckled maiden.
"I can't help but appreciate how silly you are. How naive."
Liara stared boldly back, cerulean locked on crimson, her fists clenched. "I see things very differently from you, but you should know that I also see things the right way."
Genuine shock flashed across Shepard's face, then pure amusement. She devoured Liara with her eyes, scanning her slowly up and down, and laughed softly. "We'll see about that. Show me your azure. It's no longer a suggestion. I want to see what I'll be working with, and then you're going to touch yourself for me. Don't look so down. If you do it I might spare the rest of this lot the indignity of being inspected just like you want. That is what you want, right? Well, there is my offer. Perform adequately and you'll be rewarded."
Such an easy choice to make; Liara would gladly bear the burden for the others. They were all avoiding looking at her, but Liara knew they'd want her to do this for them. That was what she told herself, and yet she still couldn't help but feel that some sick part of her was just making excuses. That actually she wanted to do it. Still, she hesitated to do something so private, embarrassing.
She hesitated too long.
"Miranda, grab the OT." Shepard blurted quietly while Liara was still trying to make up her mind about it. A pale woman with an hourglass figure wearing tight black-and-white clothing, not quite armor, crossed the room. She grabbed something from a shelving unit, and brought the little tube over to the red-haired pirate.
Shepard glanced at it, smiled, and then reached out, grabbing Liara's hand. She smeared on a creamy orange ointment that shimmered oddly on Liara's fingers.
Her skin tingled intensely where it touched, a lovely, but frightening, sensation. "W-What is….?"
"Don't worry about it. Slather that on your pussy. I don't want any more hesitation."
Liara stared at the human, expression confused. "M-My pussy? What is-"
The Shepard scowled, grabbed the slave's wrist, then jerked her hand downward. "As if you're innocent enough to not know that terminology. Your azure. Your pussy, your cunt, your hole, your purpose, your useless fucking- FOLLOW MY ORDERS!"
Liara gasped when Shepard smacked her, so hard it drew blood.
"W-What did I do?" She whispered, tears soaking her freckled cheeks, earning a leer.
"I don't like annoying questions and I was starting to get a little bit aggravated. So how about you shut it and open up the only mouth I give a shit about. Your lower one. Unless you want me to hit you around more Liara."
Frightened, she immediately surrendered. No more pain, that was all she could focus on right now. "A-Alright." Trembling, she reached down, placing a finger on each of the sticky folds of her dripping sex; a slick noise erupted from the slightest motion, betraying just how wet she was. Burning alive with humiliated excitement, the asari showed Shepard her everything. The crest at the peak of her azure was swollen, her folds glistening with the velvet-tinged evidence of her shame.
"Mmm. A slutty asari. No OT used yet and already dripping, unsurprising. I bet you've been turned on since you heard me tell that little slut down the line to strip. You've learned your place, at least your body has." For the first time, Shepard sounded truly pleased. Liara shivered, her body aching for touch. "I'm glad I bought your batch, you're a special one, aren't you? A real whore. A useless slut on the inside and out, a pureblood asari."
How did the Shepard know that? That shouldn't have been in her files. Liara's heart quickened, but just because she was right about that didn't mean she was right about everything. Liara squeezed her eyes shut, shaking her head, "I'm not that kind of person. I-I can't help how my body reacts. Nobody can. Please, if you have any kindness-"
Her captor merely snorted. "My kindness ended when, years ago, your people and the Turians tried to conquer humanity. I'm just giving you what you deserve. Beautiful pussy by the way, a perfect hole to match a perfect face. I can't believe I didn't notice you right away, Liara."
The way the Shepard said her name! It sent shivers down her spine.
Liara wished she could run away, and instead continued to obey. This human hadn't just ordered her to show off her entire body, she'd also ordered Liara to play with it.
That was something Liara knew how to do, even with cuffs on. In captivity, there were few means of entertainment. Probably over a thousand times she'd rocked herself, in silence, in the confines of whatever cell she was put in on whatever ship she was trapped on these past years. So many hours of loneliness, heartbreak, and fear chased away by rubbing, teasing her swollen azure until she forgot how to do anything but fuck herself. Over the years, her thoughts while she did it became colored, and tainted. It'd been innocent at one point, but lately, she'd found her thoughts whispering how worthless she was, how she loved to do this, would use any excuse to, was an azure-slave, just like the rest of her kind-
Human propaganda always waited in the recesses of her mind.
Her dripping sex, coated with the odd orange cream, seemed to have a mind of its own, a heartbeat of its own. Her tinglebud, the stiff and swollen ridge of flesh directly above her entrance ached to be toyed with, felt like it was on fire in the most exquisite way.
"W-What did you make me put on myself?" Her mind was racing, trying to figure out what chemicals could create a reaction like this in an asari azure, making her drip even more, making her entrance feel empty somehow, but all scientific thought eluded her.
Her mind and body hyper-fixated on every muscle in Shepard's body, the chiseled shape of her face, her smoldering red eyes. The huge hard bulge at the front of Shepard's pants was like a throne, it beckoned to her.
The sticky orange stuff was melting the poor asari's mind, making her unable to think about anything but the steadily growing ache and tingle. Her nipples, hard as can be, craved the touch of the human's pink lips.
Her thoughts were no longer making sense, or perhaps they were finally making sense.
"It's called OT. Never had the pleasure?"
Liara shook her head.
"You really are innocent in some ways, aren't you? Crazy. I'm going to save you from your miserable life, my pretty asari. With me, you can have a happy, relaxed life as my bed slave," Shepard reached down, and, without warning, slid two coarse fingertips into her wetness, two or three inches sliding in without ease, her inner walls resisting the intrusion, but succumbing with a slick part. Liara gasped, throwing her head back. She shivered as the human reached around with her free hand, caressing the crest at the back of her head, and the delicate folds of flesh on her neck. It had been strange before, but now, combined with the neck ministrations, it was unavoidable for the poor doctor's hips to start to move on their own.
"All you have to do is tell me you want it. Say it Liara, say you want to belong to me," Shepard purred, muscles flexing as she came close.
Shepard couldn't help but feel like she was watching the greatest video on the internet in real-time. She loved the way the cerulean-skinned creature threw her cuffed hands over her plump, kissable mouth, eyes shining with tears, before dropping them back down to her crotch to continue well-practiced ministrations. The way Liara wore her shame on her face so brazenly, not hiding anything away, a lovely flush coating her speckled skin from cheeks to breasts, was incredibly alluring. Those dark blue nipples, almost purple, looked utterly delectable. She wanted to suck them, put her mouth lower, taste her sex.
But the Shepard didn't service her slaves' bodies like that unless it was earned. They only got the cock until they were well-trained and broken in - a personal philosophy of hers that had served her well. "Admit you want to be mine, and I'll give you more freedom than you've had these past few years. I saw the records. I know who had your batch. Let me heal you, take you in, protect you. Join me, Liara. All you have to do is say you're mine, surrender your body, and cum."
"I-I don't want to," Liara whispered back, even as she trembled, even as she spread her thighs and masturbated herself more furiously. Her belly was tingling, her body on fire, she couldn't stop herself.
"You'd rather become some other spacefarer's bitch? I'm the best human you're ever gonna find," Shepard growled in that lovely, throaty voice of hers, crimson eyes shining eerily. There was a disturbing affection there, odd warmth, mixed with a terrible darkness. Shepard was mad, truly mad, and Liara felt her heart tremble. "Like I said… I'll let you cum on my dick. You know, most people don't let asari do that. Then you start to get cocky, but I like my slaves to have a little bit of fire in them."
Logically, that made no sense. "Y-You want your slaves to…?"
"Be spoiled rotten brats? Some of them, of course," Shepard purred, "Really, I just suck at pulling out of an azure that's begging for a hot load. I haven't had a proper bedpet for a while. I want you. So just admit that you want to be mine, and then I'll take care of all your needs."
"I-I can't," Liara wailed, "I can't I can't I CAN'T!!!!"
So she yelled, and yet a few seconds later she was cumming all over her fingers. The orgasm was violent, it forced itself onto her, drowned all her thoughts, and when she was finished her azure still wasn't satisfied. She collapsed onto the ground, heavily breathing, dripping in sweat. Two of Shepard's soldiers came to pull her back up, but the crimson-eyed woman glowered at them, waving them off, and then the brute of a woman smiled at her.
"Well. We have all night." She placed a kiss on Liara's forehead, then stepped back, her hands folded behind her back. Her monstrous grin didn't fade for a second. "Now, Liara~ Be a good girl, and masturbate again."
"B-But I… you…."
"Shhh. No stammering, no complaints. You're a bit tied up right now, and you don't have a choice. Unless you want me to move along to another asari."
No! No…! Liara didn't know why her mind was protesting so strongly. No, she did, but she would never admit it, not even to herself. She didn't want to see the slaver touching her sisters and at the same time….
"Don't look so down. You can stop when you admit that you're my property. No sooner, no later. I'm going to take you to my bed tonight. There is no other option. Your body is going to be, well, excited until it's tasted human seed."
Liara's eyes widened, and now she recognized the strange orange liquid; it was the rumored ointment that had ruined even the strongest of asari Matriarchs -. a humbling drug, it created a deep, empty pit in the belly, created an almost insatiable need to be stuffed, filled, broken. She recognized it now.
Liara stared at Shepard, who stared back at her and slowly smiled. She closed her eyes, and said quietly, "I'll be yours, so long as you agree to take everybody else in as well."
Murmurs rippled around the humans. It was rare a whole brood of asari were kept together, they were a rebellious bunch, made worse when they were allowed to stay in a group. Liara and Benezia were lucky to even be together after all these years, many asari mother-daughter pairs could not say the same.
Liara's voice was shaky. "If you protect them, don't hurt us, I could even grow to love you. It doesn't have to be this way. Leave everyone else alone, take me to your room, and in private I will show you the true value of an asari." Those were the words her mother had used to steal the "heart" of the slaver-lord, Saren.
The Shepard didn't say anything for a long time, no one did. Then, the red-haired woman burst into laughter.
"Well, you had your chance. All you had to do was play with your little cunt, and I would've gone easy on you. But you want to pretend you have value beyond your hole. Love? The true value of an asari?"
Liara didn't expect it. She should've, but she didn't. One moment she was on her knees, the next Shepard was grabbing her by the back of the crest and throat, a vicious look on her handsome face as she dragged the asari slave to the center of the chamber.
"I'll show you what happens to slaves that try to cut deals, who boss me, their owner, around. Ha! Take you to my room! Privacy! Love! Sickening." Liara's face burned, cast to the side, Shepard's harsh slap making her head ring. Then Shepard turned her face back, and smirked wide.
"You're going to learn your place. I see the way you look at me. Like you can save me," Her voice was a murmur now. "But you can't… I don't want a filthy asari's love. I'm going to take away your everything now. The last of your dignity. Not because you gave it to me, but because I stole it." Shepard stood, leaving Liara where she was, nodding to the white-clad woman, who drifted over to guard Liara, pistol near her right hand.
Liara realized something, then and there. Her mother hadn't said anything.
Benezia, for once, was scared. The rumors of the Shepard seemed to be true, and her precious daughter was no longer at her side. Yet, scarred by their former owner, Saren, she didn't dare to speak up. Because she knew it would only make things worse. They all knew.
The tall human female went to the front of the line. "Let's start over," The human chuckled, and the fierce, independent-minded asari, Sahena, merely glowered back. "Show me your azure, slave."
"I am not a slave." That was the last thing Sahena said.
"Then I have no use for you." Her head became a smoking hole, and everybody screamed, including Liara. Even through the burning bliss of her excited body a true kind of pure horror settled in. They'd been with Sahena for three years now. She had a smart mouth, was a rebel, but she usually managed to find a human that wanted to tame her, even if they eventually gave up.
The Shepard didn't say a word as her body collapsed, merely turned to smile at Liara. The former doctor just stared back in horror and tried to ignore the empty feeling, the desire for that stiff evil thing twitching in Shep's pants even after what she'd just done. Then, the human spoke. "You understand now. Right? I've already bought all of you. Now I must get rid of all the trash, like tearing out weeds; so let's play a game. You're going to do what I tell you to, Liara. No more negotiating, no more little asari mind-games. Follow my orders. Either that… or I can move to the next asari in line. It's your choice."
