Luz was running to the entrance, it was safe to assume Emira and Edric would be there or at least in that area. She just hoped that she could make it there before the monster did.

'I can't let them get hurt.' Luz thought, 'Not anymore than they already have been.'

While Luz may not know what's going on behind closed doors, though she had some ideas, she wasn't dumb. She knew they were hiding injuries, and while she doesn't know the full extent of them, she knew they wouldn't last long in a fight against that monster. Unfortunately, Luz wasn't fast enough, as the monster got there before she did. Luz looked in horror as the monster had Emira and Edric in his hand.

"Let them go!" Luz said.

The monster turned to look at Luz, revealing a book attached to his chest.

'Oh wow, that's actually pretty disturbing.' Luz thought before transforming into an Ocelot.

She growled at the monster, while Edric was a bit surprised at Luz, not only because of her ability to transform, but because he just saw her without her hood.

'A human?' Edric asked.

"Ed, what's going on?!" Emira asked, kicking her legs.

"I don't know how to describe it." Edric said.

Luz ran at the monster and jumped on it, biting down on its arm. The monster dropped Emira and Edric, allowing Edric to help pick Emira up and pull her away from the monster.

"No no! My friends will not go!" The monster said, rhyming for some reason!

It reached for Luz but she jumped off, landing on the ground and growling at the monster!

'You won't get near them!' Luz thought.

Luz shifted into Bison and charged at the monster, slamming her horns into it and knocking it into the bookshelf. Luz wasn't done as she ran at it again. The monster saw and was slammed through the bookshelf while grabbing Luzms horns to try and stop her!

'Hands off buddy!' Luz thought, pushing to uppercut the monster with her head!

While Luz and the monster had a test of strength, Edric and Emira made it to the children's corner to hide. Edric went to put up an illusion to make sure the monster couldn't follow them, but his hand started shaking and he could barely make a spell circle. He held his wrist and let out a hiss of pain.

"Ed... is it your hands?" Emira asked.

"Don't worry about it, Em." Edric said.

"I will worry about it." Emira said, "I'm supposed to be the oldest, I'm meant to protect you and Amity... yet I'm the weakest."

"You're not weak." Edric said.

"I am, I can't do anything, not since... mom found out about my healing magic." Emira said, clenching her fist, "Yeah, how dare I think about healing the only family I have left. Yeah, punish me for being a good sister... use me to test out the fucking flamethrower! Who cares if the thirteen year old girl gets hit right in the Titan Damned face by fire!"

Edric hugged Emira.

"Em, don't. You've done enough for me and Amity just by being here with us." Edric said, "You don't need to be strong for us, you don't need to be the protector all the time... you just need to be our sister."

"But what…what if that isn't enough?" Emira asked, slowly crying as she hugged Edric back. "I-I can't protect you and Amity when you both need me. So how can I be enough if I can't at least help you?"

"Just being here, just being alive is enough." Edric said to her.

They felt the ground shake, causing a couple books to fall. Edric saw a certain book and gasped.

"I think I know someone that could help." Edric said, picking up the book, "We need to find Amity, she's the only one that can do this."

Edric grabbed Emira's wrist and they moved to Amity's secret room. Meanwhile, Luz was holding the monster back in a test of strength.

"Not bad, but I'm more than just the clay that was used to make me!" Luz said, lifting the monster above her head and throwing it into the bookcases.

"Change as you might, you are not match for Otabin's might!" The monster said, pushing itself up.

"Really? Let's test that theory shall we?" Luz asked before transforming again, becoming a large gorilla!

Luz pounded her chest, a challenge in gorilla language. The monster Otabin did the same as he roared at Luz, accepting her challenge! The two ran at each other. Luz jumped into the air with her fists pulled back, ready to crush Otabin and his book heart! Otabin swiped at Luz, cutting her with his massive claws, but basically doing nothing to her as her godly nature means she felt no pain, allowing her to smash Otabin into the ground as the floor broke under them, nearly caving it in as a crater formed.

'Oh... I'm sure I can find a way to fix that.' Luz thought.

Luz pulled back her fists and kept beating Otabin into the ground, still praying that someone could fix the damage as she fought the beast. Otabin grabbed her and threw her to the ground. He got on top of Luz and began clawing at her, making her raise her arms to block since she didn't feel pain either way. Luz grabbed Otabin by the neck and pushed him away before becoming a diplodocus, just big enough to be there, but not too big that it would damage the library. Luz swung her whip like tail at Otabin, knocking him back, and even making a whip sound as it connected. Otabin was knocked back and Luz stood on her hind legs, attempting to slam her 26 ton weight on him. Otabin quickly got up and pushed her back, causing her to fall to her side. Otabin was about to use his claws to stab Luz in the neck, when something hit him from behind.

This was going to be a longer chapter but I need to split it into two. I also need to take a break, mostly because I'm going to be pet sitting for a few days, but also because I needed help making this chapter. I am very tired and very stressed, now here's hoping another pet doesn't die when I come back from break this time. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
