Thunder Hero Hero 30
Sleep came uneasily for the Boys, Shoto; more so for him. Having been told that his eldest brother, was dead, but actually, alive and well; if looking like a crispy Frankenstein; he couldn't but think of that image that was now linked to his memories of his eldest brother. Plus, he was dating Ember! That would ignite his father's temper, when he found out…especially because Ember was his de facto second in command. The Todoroki Patriarch would lose his temper when the girl revealed she was pregnant.
What rocked him, was that both, Fuyumi and Harry knew! They knew Toya was still alive! "I can hear your brain whirling Shoto-kun. I know that you're thinking, can I even trust Baraquiel and my Sister anymore, now that I know this?"
Shoto rolled in his bed to find Izuku, sitting on an inflatable bed with it resting against the wall, allowing for the teen to rest up against it. "Well? I mean sis and Baraquiel have always been there for us…and now…"
Izuku smiled thinly "Remember who else was in the room with us when we were informed? Banshee, Malkav, Athena and Roadblock…now, I know it feels like you can't trust them but do you think they would have told us if we didn't overhear the shouting? This sort of thing, this is, well, playing for keeps and…"
"Damage Control. Toya wants to bring Endeavour down, publicly." Shoto replied, joining Izuku against the wall "Toya seemed rather fanatic about that, did you see how Harry…"
"Remember two days ago when you, Mashiro and I tried to take Roadblock head-on?"
Shoto nodded "That hurt…unstoppable force and the immovable object, only Harry didn't put place an immovable object into Toya's path but rather re-directed it."
Izuku nodded "Your brother, came to your brother because, he, Baraquiel, can get him what he wants. All we need to do is keep our mouths shut."
Shoto nodded "What's going on with you? I remember you combusting into flames, yet, you…"
"I know. I don't know what's going on, what I do know that Athena is tearing her hair out. I got out of the room when Banshee asked 'Have you found another Harry?'..."
Shoto shook his head "The more I learn about my favourite family member, the more it seems that he's absolutely insane."
"He's your favourite family member because you're now no longer the baby of the family. Your sister is nice."
"My sister is awesome. She deserves all the happiness she can get, if Harry gives it to her then I'm happy for her. Nee-chan is a…complicated subject for me. Yes, I know she's my sister but she's been more of a mother to me than my mother, yet I've got good memories of my mother."
(Nezu's Office)
Mirio's Father, slumped into a very comfortable armchair, holding a cup of chamomile tea. He'd prefer alcohol, because, the nature of the conversation he was having would have been better with it. "Let me get this straight, You, Yagi Toshinori, All Might, were crippled five years ago against a Villain from the Dark Days of Quirks, who has systematically hunted down all the previous wielders of One For All, bar one, and you GAVE it to my Son?"
Toshinori nodded "I did." Nighteye did have the decency to look abashed causing the man to turn on him.
"And you, Sir Nighteye, ENCOURAGED All Might to do such a thing? Is that why you took my son on as your intern and then sidekick, because YOU THOUGHT you KNEW BETTER than All Might whom WIELDED this quirk."
"I saw, All Might dying if he carried on being a hero, the world needs a Symbol of Peace and I saw your son as the most capable student to take on the mantle."
Obake's gaze hardened, as did Mirio's "Sir, did you only take me on because I resembled All Might?"
Nighteye felt like he'd been punched in the stomach, he wanted to deny it but he couldn't "Yes. I did. However…"
"However, nothing Sir Nighteye. I went to you because you told me 'I could be an amazing hero', I trusted you, when we spoke in the interview, do you remember what I told I wanted to be Hero for?"
"You wanted to be a hero who save a million lives."
Mirio snorted "It seems you actually remember that. Then why did you not inform me of you were scouting me to be All Might's Successor!"
"I was worried that you'd refuse…"
Mirio effortlessly broke the armrest of the chair he was in "Of course I would! I INVESTIGATED the cause of death of the Fourth Wielder and do you know what I found? Quirk Poisoning! The fact that All For One killed seven of the eight wielders of One For All was a MERCY. No-One understands Quirk Poisoning because there has been no one around long enough with it to be studied." He raged, Mirio was a hard teen to upset but finding out that Sir Nighteye had trained him was a lie, Mirio wanted a bit of payback "Sir Nighteye, I quit, I quit being your sidekick and intern. I know that I'm in the middle of an investigation with you so here is what is going to happen, you are going to leave me alone only contact me through Kaoruko, I will join you for my scheduled hours and only then will you converse with me. We will remain like that until the case is closed and then I am going to leave."
Obake's eyes widened "Mirio…you…do realise that this'll hamper your chances as a hero?"
"I know and I'll have a very good reason for it. I will be sending emails with my CV and a Covering Letter to all Hero Agencies that have spots open. Someone will be interested."
Nezu chuckled "I can think of someone who'll be interested, very interested. Someone who'll take you on just to spite Sir Nighteye."
Sir Nighteye nodded "I'm sorry that I mislead you so much. However, despite my obsfucations and reasons for misleading you, you have been an exceptional sidekick. I'll email you a reference."
(Class 1-A)
Jiro could tell Todoroki and Midoriya were exhausted. She'd heard about the government depot catching fire.
Todoroki and Midoriya looking tired…gears began to whirl.
"Midori-bro! Todoroki-brother, you guys look absolutely shattered. You guys okay?" Kirishima blurted out.
"Rough night. Sister and Harry were rather…loud." Todoroki replied.
"Anxiety. Up all night." Midoriya replied. Jiro smirked, they were decent half-excuses. If she didn't have her quirk, Jiro would have believed them but it was enough for Kirishima.
The class dissolved into their usual antics, with Todoroki and Midoriya trying to get some sleep. Despite Iida, waking them up with a booming voice.
Neville walked in with Baraquiel in tow along with Aizawa. "Alright, Nimrods!, Settle Down."
The Class jumped to Neville's orders and they scrambled for their seats. "First of all, sorry for the experience you had a week ago. How is everyone? If anyone says they're fine and are unchanged by the events, I'll find that hard to believe. Baraquiel and I are around for you to talk to. Now on for the second thing, I don't get what is happening next, so Aizawa?"
Aizawa nodded "Well said Roadblock. In a week, we will be having the UA Sports Festival. This week will be used as an intense training camp. You can train wherever you choose. That is all. Oh and a word of advice, you only get three shots to impress a hero."
"Denki…please wait a moment." Baraquiel called as the class got up and began to gossip. The electric teen, slouched as he made his way towards, probably the best teacher he'd had. "Sensei?"
"Come on kid, you're not in trouble…yet." Baraquiel led Denki out of the classroom, only to find the doorway was blocked.
"So this is the famous…" A maniacal blonde began crow, he hastily stopped when he felt the ozone build-up.
"Monona, right?" Baraquiel asked.
"Yes, sensei…I was…"
"About to start harassing your sister class for circumstances outside of their control; furthermore a situation in which they could have died in…I know you, your assistant homeroom teachers are good friends of mine. So, I suggest you leave 1-A alone before I request to Blood King that I take you for detention."
Monoma blanched, he'd heard that Baraquiel was a laid back teacher, but, Banshee had informed them that he was an exceptional hero. "He could have easily been the British All Might, Number One in Britain and in the Top 10 international heroes. Everyone loves an honest hero, the press loves a Hero who can account for their actions."
"Baraquiel-Sensei…" The blonde called.
"Yes?"
"How can a Hero Copycat Quirk be a better Hero? Should someone who copies quirks even be a hero?"
Baraquiel paused and turned to face the teen "Anyone, with any quirk can be a hero. Obviously not every Hero can be a Top 10. I see no reason why you can't, although, you have got a lot of problems to resolve. I can help, but…"
"You're not going to. You can offer all the advice and training under the sun, but I'm not going to understand it unless I have conviction in myself. Banshee and Malkav Senseis' have gotten that across to me. I just can't see how my Quirk is going to help in a heroic situation."
"Then the simple thing would be to investigate how your quirk activates? Sure it requires physical interaction to start…but does it really?"
Monoma paused "I'm…not sure."
"The fact you don't know, proves, you're willing to learn. I'll pass some references to your homeroom teacher to pass to you. Now you're welcome to join me in some training exercises…"
With that Baraquiel shimmered and vanished.
In the dojo, in UA's gym. Midoriya was sitting in a small steam cloud, Athena was sitting off to one side, a bottle of aspirin and water next to her; definitely dealing with a migraine. "Midoriya…I don't understand this, I thought I understood quirk science…"
Midoriya chuckled "I'm guessing you used Baraquiel as your guinea pig?"
"Considering he'd hospitalised himself on multiple occasions, yes. Overdosed himself on multiple illegal substances, should have died and has died…he is a walking quandary of science."
"Athena…I'm not going under any sort of experiment from you. Unless it is to definitely keep me alive, then, yes. If it's just for your study…use Seamus, Dean or Neville."
The other Class 1-A students bar Baraquiel just looked at the beautiful brunette and their homeroom teacher casually talking with one another, and exchanging insults. Jiro shook her head and turned to Denki "Let's go spark-plug. I want to beat your ass into the floor."
She did just that. Denki tried to fight back butDenki gave it as good as he could, but, the purple-haired heroine-in-training simply bulldozed the teen. Harry looked at Denki and sighed "Why don't you train him?" Dean suggested.
"Me, train, him, what makes you think that's even the smartest or the sanest thing to do?" Harry replied, looking at the illusionist.
Dean chuckled "You're bloody good at it. You trained the entire school, including two years our senior and two years our junior how to use a myriad of quirks…"
"That was under duress and most of it was 'point and go', not exactly…training."
"Then explain that Midoriya, kid, the way he moves; analyses his opponents and being absolutely ruthless are some of the trademarks of you training him."
"He's quirkless, with a heart and a sociopathic mind for quirk breakdowns and wanted to be a Hero. He broke into my office on a dare. Rather, he says dare but I suspect he was bullied into it. That wasn't training him, that was keeping him occupied so he wouldn't get himself killed being a vigilante." Harry replied abruptly, he hadn't ever taken on an apprentice like Dean was insinuating, mainly because he was scared to.
"What about your brother-in-law? The one in your class."
"That was a favour."
Dean sighed in exasperation "Stop thinking that you're going to fuck up training that kid." Unfortunately, his voice had risen to the point of even without knowing English the students could easily work out what was being said "I swear, Harry, that kid that's being flattened by the music-girl has more electricity fluctuating his body than he knows what to do with, do I need to remind you how bad you were? You caused at minimum fifteen different electrical burns, fried more phones and lab kit than we knew what to do with; and let's not forget the time that you picked up a sparking wire and short-circuited the schools cooling system because you were helping a first year…You were twelve."
Harry sat heavily on the floor "I don't want to take on an apprentice because I don't want them to come out like me."
Dean sat next to him and pulled him into a one-armed hug "That's why you'll be brilliant. Because of how you turned out, you'll know what not to do."
Harry looked at him "You've got a stake on this haven't you?"
"Yeah, maybe, a little, more…like, I've found a student that could be amazing he's a vocal brainwasher and considering how you've managed to teach me how to spin an illusion with my words I figured why not. I've not made any moves to teach him because I was waiting on you to act."
"I'm also guessing that the others do as well."
"Yeah, Neville's got a kid in my class, Seamus…"
"No-one knows how he operates. Speaking of where is he?"
Hermione chipped in "He's talking with Hound Dog about something. Harry, talk to him."
Harry turned to face the now assembled students "Shouldn't you all be training? Kaminari, I need to have a chat with you."
Denki paled, Jiro smirked, she'd been hanging around Harry long enough to know that she couldn't rely solely on her quirk to read his motives. The way he said it 'chat' instead of 'word', she wasn't going to let the electric teen in on it. She looked over at Izuku and Ojiro whom were fighting back smirks and chuckles, Shoto and Momo however were positively vibrating with laughter; the other students looked apprehensive.
Denki summoned his courage and followed the Lightning Hero out of the gym, across the grounds to his house. "Are you sure? Sensei?"
"Denki, you're not in trouble. Come in, want a drink?"
That chucked the electric teen through a loop "Please, may I have some Pineapple or Mango?"
Harry chuckled and handed the teen a bottle of pineapple and got one himself "I've been observing you, rather closely, more than the others because of your quirk. I've probably fucked this up so I'll be up front…Do you want to be my apprentice and sidekick?"
