In the advanced astronomy classroom, the students were very nervous, the teacher, an older dark-skinned woman who was wearing nothing but dark clothes had a stern expression while she was handing some papers to the students.
"Granger, not bad…Weasley you failed, Finnigan you failed, Greengrass I was expecting better, and…Potter," the older woman smiled at a young dark-haired wizard. "Congratulations, you got the best score on the last exam," the older woman said with a smile on her face as she handled the hero of the wizarding world his exam with the best note and he grinned like crazy, this has been his best year in this class but he still wanted more, maybe he should pursue an astronomy-related career.
Meanwhile, in the back of the room, a blonde woman was staring at her score, seventy out of a hundred, she was disappointed by her mark, she passed that's the truth but she barely did it, the blonde hated herself for this, she used to be the best when it came to Astronomy but this year that damn Harry Potter decided to suddenly become good in this subject, she was bitterly staring at the dark-haired wizard while a lot of his friends were comparing their answers with his own.
To say that Daphne was angry would be an understatement, this guy was taking everything from everyone, it seems like his ego didn't have a limit, first of all, he defeated the strongest wizard after Dumbledore while he was a baby and it seems like not even the dark lord was able to come back to life after that humiliating experience.
Then when he became a Hogwarts student he suddenly became the youngest seeker in the history of the school, Daphne couldn't enter the Slytherin quidditch team until her fourth year and she was a backup player!
Then he manages to participate in the tri-wizard tournament and he ends up winning even though he tried to convince the world he didn't want to participate, he has accomplished a lot and he was as young as everyone in the room, his mere presence made almost everyone feel like their lives had no purpose, still, Daphne didn't care about those things until a few weeks ago.
Daphne has always been the silent type, she doesn't like to mess up with other people's business, and she always puts herself and everyone she loves above everything else in the world, however, if someone tries to threaten her or her family, she doesn't hesitate to kick back those who are a threat to her.
She's a very mysterious person even by Slytherin standards and something that people don't know is that she doesn't follow the principles of the Slytherin house like a sheep, she doesn't care about blood purity, money, and all those things, the only thing she loves more than her family is astronomy.
Ever since she was little she has always dreamed about reaching the stars, she has felt connected to the space and cosmos from a very young age and she was hoping to become a magical space explorer at the Department of Mysteries.
According to all the astronomy conferences that Daphne has attended in the magical world and the many visits she has made to the department of mysteries, the astronomers at the ministry can travel between worlds thanks to certain spells reserved only for people with the proper qualifications.
Her dream to reach the stars was becoming closer and closer as she aged, she wanted to be part of that to travel across space with magic or at least that's what she thought because these past few months astronomy has been nothing but a menace to her, something that she used to love she's starting to hate it and not only because she has seen a decrease in her grades.
Professor Aurora Sinistra is one of the most beautiful people in this school, but her beauty is just a façade, she's just as brutal as Snape when it comes to teaching, this past year astronomy has changed a lot, this subject used to be about space investigations, observing the stars and constellations but it suddenly turned into something more scary…Now there were formulas and equations.
Daphne wouldn't have a problem with that if it wasn't for the fact that the way math is taught in Hogwarts is very strange and complicated, they mostly teach the basic stuff but in this last year of astronomy Daphne has been forcing herself to learn how to derivate, integrate, use imaginary numbers, differential equations and many other things that are still confusing to her.
The end of the year and the graduation were close and with that, there was a lot of difficult stuff on the exams, the last one was so brutal that very few people passed, it was a single problem about calculating the gravitational force of a binary star system but the problem was giving very few clues they had to get through thanks to the theory they had to remember and constants they had to remember, it was so brutal and somehow, the damn Harry Potter managed to get a perfect score.
He took everything from everyone and to this point, Daphne didn't give a shit that until now because he was threatening to take away from her everything she has loved from the start, something she had been gatekeeping from the world and it was just for her as she has been at the top when it comes to grades ever since the first day she attended this class.
And yet Potter just woke up one day and decided to become good at astronomy, he was literally the only one with good grades this year, even his best friend Hermione whom she admits is smarter than her, Harry has managed to overshadow her with his math skills, still, Daphne's not completely convinced about his behavior, she knew there was another reason why he has been getting better grades than everyone when this class has been nothing but hell, his grades didn't make sense for the blonde.
Daphne wanted to find out how he was doing it, maybe he was cheating and that was the reason why he was so good, or maybe he was using his powers to read the teacher's mind to get the answers, whatever thing he was using Daphne was going to find out and she was going to use it because she needed to seriously get better grades.
Professor Sinistra used to be the head of the astronomy department in the ministry, and every year she recommends students whom she finds worthy of taking the ministry test, which is an amazing feat because getting a chance to do that entrance test is difficult enough, you need to have influences, recommendations and you need to prove your skills in a personalized test, so, it's impossible to cheat your way through unless you're worthy of it.
That's the path you're going to walk through if you want to get into the astronomy department in the ministry, however, Professor Sinistra always gives recommendation letters to the students she finds worthy of taking that ministry exam, and Daphne wanted to be one of the few fortunate people who'll get that recommendation letter, but with every exam she did she was losing her hope as her grades were getting lower and lower.
"We're going to have a recovery exam the next Monday so, for those who would like to better your score and those who failed, I'll see you here at the same hour…You may retire to the great hall to take the dinner enjoy your weekend," the professor suddenly said before she grabbed all her things which consisted of nothing but a small piece of chalk.
Daphne knew she was exaggerating but she desperately needed to get better grades, she was going to take the exam once again, and even now that she was attending dinner with the rest of the students she was also solving advanced differential equations from a book she grabbed in the library.
"Ah this is too hard," Daphne said with a desperate tone before she decided to close the book and soon she got the attention of everyone around, she especially got the attention of a brown-haired girl.
"Sister…Don't get too obsessed with that, you already passed, you don't need to overwork yourself," the younger girl said in a worried tone.
Daphne was so angry and frustrated right now, but she didn't want to vent her frustrations on her little sister, her annoyed expression suddenly changed into a more relaxed and serious one and soon she was caressing her little sister's cheeks.
"You're right Toria…Sorry that you had to see me like that," Daphne sighed.
"It's okay I know you too well, I know you want to be the best when it comes to astronomy but you need to remember what our parents said…They don't care about our grades as long as we get our diplomas, in the end, they can help us to get a job thanks to their connections," Astoria said in a sweet tone and Daphne sighed defeated.
"You're right but…I don't want that, you know? I love my parents and everything they do for us but I want to get what I want on my own…I want to show the world that I'm worthy of becoming a magical space explorer," Daphne said in a low tone.
Astoria couldn't help but sigh before she smiled, she was proud of her older sister and she admired her a lot, so, she just smiled and nodded at her, if that's what she wanted she was going to try to support her as much as she could, Daphne was going to say something to her younger sister but then something caught her attention.
Harry Potter was walking side by side with Professor Sinistra and the two of them were laughing and being strangely close, Daphne had been too immersed in her studies that she hadn't noticed that before, they were leaving the great hall and her conspiracy theory about him receiving some help from the teacher was becoming more and more real for her.
"Toria, I need to do something, if I don't come back in ten minutes just get back to the dorms…I need to do a practical study of certain…Stars," lied the blonde but her younger sister believed her, that wasn't the first time she had done that after all.
Daphne tried to follow Potter and Professor Sinistra as silently as possible which made it difficult for her to hear what they were talking about, however, she knew where they were going, it was the professor's private rooms with an amazing view of her balcony, and then, it finally happened.
"W-What the…" A young blonde woman said as she stared at the scene in front of her.
On the balcony, there were two people, it was Harry and Professor Sinistra and they seemed to be way too close, they were previously staring at the stars but soon that changed because the young man placed his hands on the older woman's hips before he kissed her.
"I shouldn't be seeing this but…I can't stop staring at them!" Mumbled under her breath the blonde woman as she continued staring at those two going at it.
They would look like an amazing couple, if it wasn't for the fact that she was a teacher and he was her student, and even though he was already an adult, doing something like this with a student was certainly forbidden.
"I finally got you Potter…No one messes with Daphne Greengrass and gets away with it, so this is why you've been having better grades than me!" Daphne mumbled in an angry tone.
Daphne Greengrass has been having lots of problems and it's all thanks to the man who is currently kissing her teacher but it seems like Daphne now has the power to destroy them, however, instead of running away to tell everyone what is happening, she continued staring at them.
"Harry, stop…" The professor suddenly said which made Daphne feel confused. "Mrs. Greengrass has no one told you that it's not good to spy on other people…Also, were you masturbating while you were spying on us?" Asked the older witch and soon the blonde's eyes opened widely.
Daphne was surprised by the older witch's words but then, she realized that the dark-skinned woman was right, Daphne had one hand under her skirt and panties and she was touching her twat while she was watching the scene, Harry soon joined them and Daphne couldn't help but gulp, this didn't look good for her.
