Part 2 of Scott's crusade against Lucas is up ^^
Sorry for the delay and all.
Anyways, enjoy and feel free to comment your thoughts
SECOND TIME'S THE CHARM (Part 2)
The Next Day...
Kim woke up in her apartment, took a shower, got dressed and (after getting an earful from her housemate Sara and shrugging it off) headed to the bus stop, though not before grabbing herself a coffee for the road. Before long, Kim had reached her workplace (No-Account Video) and went in to find her co-worker (Name: Hollie Hawkes. Age: 26. Occupation: Cashier for No-Account Video) waiting for her. "You're late, Slacker. It's almost 11:30." She said with a smirk after noticing Kim enter the building. "I'm tragically sorry to have made you wait that long, and I really do mean that." Kim said sarcastically to her co-worker as she drank her coffee.
"Aw...what, you didn't bring me one?" Hollie then asked with a slightly pouty expression. "You mean a coffee? Hollie...I've got some bad news: I hate you." Kim bluntly responded as she put her bag in the employee's locker room. "Don't you hate everyone, Kim?" Hollie asked, pretty hurt though more confused if anything. "Aren't you one of everyone?" Kim asked in a rhetorical manner. As Kim finished off her coffee, Hollie couldn't help but wonder something. "Have you always been this way? As in, a totally hateful XXXXX?" She asked, gaining Kim's attention.
"Maybe I was a happy kid once. No, actually I was a totally serious angsty teenager. Probably smiled and laughed at one point though." Kim responded in her usual manner. "Man, you're totally a holy terror Kim. Want me to put a movie on?" Hollie then responded with a slight laugh before heading over to the tv. "Maybe something really morbid, horrible and Japanese?" Kim suggested with a slight smirk. A while later, Hollie was busy watching the same movie she had put on when the door opening caught her attention, seeing two customers and one familiar face she hoped she'd never see here for a while.
"Kim, customers." She called to Kim, who was bored and checking out, causing her co-worker to walk over to the counter to see Scott Pilgrim (Status: Nervous to be in the store after so long.), with his new girlfriend, Ramona Flowers (Fun Fact: She's never seen this place before.), and Wallace Wells (He knows what he's doing). "Oh great. What are you doing here, Scott? You've still got the universal ban you know." Kim groaned, unable to believe Scott being here, and something that cause him to groan in annoyance. "I told you, I forgot that last video was due in that week. Also, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't important." He then said, sounding serious more than usual.
"I'll let you guys sort this out. I'll be in the back." Hollie then said out of boredom, going into the employee room (Probably to slack off). After she'd left, Scott explained the whole situation to Kim, about how he came across Ramona's second evil ex boyfriend and everything that was happening, giving her a good reason to let him rent the list of Lucas Lee movies that Wallace had listed out. "So...you need these movies in order to train to fight Lucas Lee?" Kim asked with an arched eyebrow, picking out one of the requested films. "Yep, pretty much Kim." Scott responded sheepishly.
"Well, one of these movies is brilliant, but the rest, eh, not so much." Kim then spoke as she picked up Let's Hope There's a Heaven and put it on the other piles of Lucas Lee movies she picked out. In all honesty, she was taking the movies away, hesitant to let Scott, let alone Wallace, rent any the movies due to the ban, but after she then saw how serious she was, she groaned. "Fine. I'll let you rent them, for Ramona's sake." Kim said, giving in and handing the movies to Wallace, who immediately took them to the counter. "Funny thing. This is the first time you ever lost, Scott." She then said, almost snickering at the thought of Scott losing to a movie star.
"I didn't lose, Kim. That guy was way too strong and I got knocked out unfairly." Scott complained with embarrassment, not wanting to admit what happened (Not-So Fun Fact: He really doesn't). "Well at least he's not dead." Ramona added, chuckling though at the same time relieved he actually didn't die. "Also, Scott told me you appeared in his unconscious dreamscape to deliver stuff for amazons quicker. Is that true?" Kim then asked, revealing that Scott told Kim about the subspace highway in his head that Ramona was using. "Wow, you're actually the first person in Canada to understand that. Actually, it's not that complicated of a concept in America." Ramona then responded, amazed how well Kim knew everything she knew.
"Well, if you were delivering DVDs, you'd be putting us outta business by now." Kim said jokingly. "Gotta be honest, Kim. Didn't think you still worked here." Scott then said as he looked around the place. Earning him a hardcore glare (Kim's Note: For Scott only) from Kim. "R-Right, uh never mind..." He sheepishly spoke back. Kim then smiled at this, almost like she enjoyed intimidating Scott. "By the way...earlier, Scott mentioned that he knew you in High School, probably longer than anyone of us." Ramona then brought up from what Scott had mentioned in Lucas' trailer. Hearing this, Kim's smile dropped before she looked away from the memory.
"Yeah. He's not wrong there." She responded, sounding pretty bitter over it and confirming Scott was right. "How did you two meet?" Ramona then asked Scott, who took a breath. "Well, guess I was gonna bring this up eventually..." He said before thinking back to his High School days.
Flashback: (Scott's High School Days)
It was seven years back and I'd just started attending St. Joel's High back in Ontario
Kinda got into a fight with these bullies, met one friend I can't remember...
"Hi, I'm Lisa." The girl said, introducing herself to Young Scott. "Scott Pilgrim..." He said, introducing himself to Lisa. "How long have you been here?" She asked out of curiosity. "Fifteen minutes." Young Scott then answered with a groan. "And you already got beat up? You must be totally great. We should be friends." Lisa said with excitement.
But sometime the following week, that's when I met Kim.
We partnered up for the for a project...not really much happened before, and she didn't really have her personality from today and was pretty nice, and had freckles, obviously.
"You told me you were good at drawing." Young Kim said, pretty annoyed that Scott hadn't drawn a perfect map. "Maps are hard. If I had to draw a sheep though, I'd draw it perfect." Young Scott exclaimed before boasting a little on drawing a sheep. "A sheep? You serious? Draw me a sheep." Young Kim, and Young Scott DID draw a sheep, but it wasn't perfect in Kim's eyes. "That's the worst sheep I've ever seen." Young Kim bluntly pointed out. "What are you talking about? This sheep is excellent!" Young Scott then said, making Kim laughed at how stupid it was.
After that, my friend and I decided to start a band, even if we sucked.
One of the reasons why I wanted to invite Kim as our drummer.
But when Monday came, I found out Kim got kidnapped by the Benvie Tech boys who beat up everyone at school.
"Scott! Oh my god, the Benvie Tech Boys! They came and beat everyone up!" Lisa exclaimed with panic, even showing the beat up students as proof to Scott. "Wow...what a great day to miss the bus." Young Scott said in surprise. "Scott! They kidnapped Kim!" Lisa revealed to the horror of Scott. "Oh XXXX! Our presentation!" Young Scott exclaimed, panicking before rushing off to save Kim.
So, being the young fighter, I went over and beat up 96 of them to get to Simon Lee, the guy who kidnapped her.
When I confronted him, we fought for a while until I finally kicked him so far he saw the curvature of Earth itself.
"P-Please, be merciful. I've been such a fool." Simon Lee said, begging to be spared, but Scott wasn't having any of his nonsense. "You should've thought about that earlier, Simon..." Young Scott said bitterly before kicking Simon Lee off the roof and rescuing Kim.
In the end, we formed our band, dated and became pretty popular as a band...but we broke up because...my parents had the whole family move to Toronto.
"You're moving to Toronto...?" Young Kim asked, feeling sad about this reveal. And to be honest, Scott was saddened by this himself.
After Scott finished, he noticed how slightly distressed Kim was. "I...I'd better go see if we've got the right movies from the list." He said before walking over to Wallace and leaving Ramona and Kim to themselves. "Well, saving you from a guy like Simon Lee and dating afterwards, that's a romantic memory. Not gonna lie." Ramona said, as she tried to cheer up the girl a little (And made a good effort too), though it didn't really work. "Yeah...but how romantic can a memory be if things ended terribly?" Kim asked, sounding like she was hiding something...though Ramona didn't press the matter any further. "At least you're still friends. That's gotta be a good sign, right?" She asked.
"Well, he is a lovable idiot." Kim said with a smile, not denying that part. However, she happened to glance at Ramona and see her blush a little, which made Kim see how much she liked Scott. "You like him, don't you?" She then asked Ramona, who was currently staring off into space a little. "He's a pretty nice guy. And plus, there were sparks." Ramona mentioned, confirming the suspicions of Kim. "Oof. You're in trouble." Kim spoke with a smirk. Their thoughts were interrupted when the counter's bell was rung, causing them to turn and see Wallace ringing it to get the girls' attention.
"Can we hurry this up please? I'm getting bored here." Wallace asked, showing how impatient he was while Scott tried to get him to stop. Groaning, Kim then went up to the counter to help the boys pay for the movies. "Remind me how you ended up living with Wallace again, Scott?" Kim then asked with slight annoyance. "It's...a long story." Scott said awkwardly. "Is it also a gay story?" Kim then asked, of course this would've had to have been the case for Wallace. "Somewhat gay, yes." Scott responded. After another few moments, the movies were paid and the guys were on their way. "Well, hope you beat that Hollywood guy." Kim said, wishing the best for Scott.
Before they left however, Scott turned back to Kim to ask one last thing. "You wouldn't be interested in coming along to see how the fight plays out, would you?" Upon hearing the question from Scott, Kim rolled her eyes in slight annoyance. "You wish...well, I'll see." Kim then responded, a pretty unsure (Not really that unsure) if she was gonna go to Casa Loma, but thought about the offer.
That evening...
Scott, Ramona and Wallace went over the information that the latter had gotten about Lucas Lee, including how he managed to do his own stunts on a skateboard. There was also the matter of doing 500 push-ups (Not-So Fun Fact: Scott hated the fact that Wallace made him do that.) and seeing all the important stuff from the movies of Lucas Lee they had rented. After a while, Scott was invited to Ramona's apartment once again, and Wallace didn't try to stop them. Over at Ramona's place, the pair watched one of the Lucas Lee movies they had rented and saw the man himself as the big action hero of the movie.
"Wow, I can see what Wallace meant when he said Lucas Lee was hot. I mean, don't you agree?" Scott said before turning to Ramona. However, Scott immediately noticed her head was glowing while she had a pretty sad look on her (Scott's Note: Will that be important for later?). "R-Ramona...? Your head's-" He couldn't finish before Ramona turned towards him. "Y-Yeah...I guess he is. Though to be honest, he didn't look that different in High School." She responded, trying to not sound awkward, which partially failed. "Was he a whiny little greasy-headed skater?" Scott asked, concluding that was what Ramona was implying.
"Not really." Ramona said as she shook her head. "Well...what's the story with you and Lucas Lee then? I mean...is there anything I should Know about?" Scott then asked, sounding like if there WAS anything else about Lucas, he needed to know just in case. And since he really wanted to know, Ramona figured that she'd might as well spill the beans. "Well...like I said, we met in High School years ago." She began, thinking back to her high school days with Lucas Lee.
Flashback: (Ramona Flowers' High School Days)
It was our freshman year of High School, Ninth Grade. We were both in drama class together.
Ramona arrived at High School, not looking to begin any relationships or have any friends, she just kept to herself.
Lucas followed me around and asked me out like 96 times.
Everywhere Ramona went, Lucas was always there behind her. He tried asking her out, but for a while she refused.
Finally after a while, I gave up and said ok.
A while afterwards...Ramona approached Lucas and agreed to go out with him.
At first, being teenagers, all we just did was sat on curbs and smoked.
But after a while, I began to see a whole other side to Lucas,
How awesome of a skateboarder he was, and how determined he was to be the best skater.
Ramona smoked whilst watching in amazement as Lucas tried to grind a hand rail, only to crash when he'd reached the bottom, all to Ramona's concern.
I guess after that, I decided to be with him...
Ramona helped bandage Lucas' injured hand, and while he felt shame of not doing a good stunt, Ramona convinced him not to give up.
And so he didn't, the two were always with each other, dating, doing drama together and trying to help make Lucas a better skater boy with more and more progress being made. Heck, Lucas won two skating trophies at two skating tournaments after getting so much help and confidence from Ramona.
Just wish it was longer than two months, before I left him...
And I wished I'd never broken his heart.
One day, after he made a plan to win a third skating tournament, Lucas looked up from his locker to greet Ramona...only to see her with another boy, disheartening him entirely.
Scott was stunned that Ramona had just left Lucas for possibly her third evil ex boyfriend, however he noticed how much Ramona regretted doing that, given how much she cared for Lucas. "You left him...for that cocky pretty boy. Didn't you...?" Scott asked, though he figured he was more or less right there. "One of the worst mistakes I ever made..." Ramona (Status: Not denying what she did...) responded after slightly nodding. "So, how did someone like you become...well, someone like you...? The coolness and exes and all?" Scott asked, a question that made Ramona's head glow again, though he noticed she slightly clutched her choker-like necklace while sadly sighing.
"Some things...are better left unsaid, Scott. That's all I'll say..." She then responded, keeping her secret (Scott's Note: And a secret worth finding out in these stories if you guys ask me.) to herself, almost like telling him would destroy her internally. It was then her own cat came along and jumped up beside her, trying to make his owner feel better, and it worked, bit by it. "How long have you had a cat?" Scott then asked after seeing the cat. "You mean Gideon? He was on the street, alone and cold. So I rescued him." Ramona explained, telling Scott how she came to own her kitten.
"Cute. Did you name him after your boyfriend from New York?" Hearing this from Scott, Ramona became slightly embarrassed. "Let's not bring that up right now, ok?" She blurted out, pretty much blushing. However, she cooled down a little before turning towards Scott. "Anyway, keep convincing me you're not gay, dude. I think you're doing great." She said to his shock while playfully nudging his shoulder slightly. "O-Oh, really? Well thanks." Scott then responded sheepishly. After a moment of slightly awkward silence, he spoke up again. "Y-You know, despite all that stuff you did, you're pretty cool, Ramona. I like you." He admitted with a smile.
"Well you're pretty lame, but I like you anyway." Ramona (Fun Fact: She really means it.) responded gently before leaning towards Scott, wrapping her arms around him and kissing him.
The next evening...
At Casa Loma
Scott, Ramona and Wallace walked up the steps leading to Casa Loma, the location where Lucas Lee had both said he was going to be filmed at and where he had told Scott to meet him. Joining the trio were Young Neil (Reason for Coming: Had nothing better to do) and Kim (Status: Coming to make sure Scott doesn't die), both of whom had nothing else to do. "So this is the place, right Wallace?" Scott asked Wallace, who groaned in annoyance, given that this must've been the eighth time he was asked that.
"You said Lucas told you to meet him at this place, so it must be, and besides...looks like they already set up stuff here." Wallace then responded, even proving it by pointing towards the various equipment and filming stuff set up (Wallace's Note: Thought that was obvious?). "Fair point..." Scott groaned, feeling slightly like an idiot for forgetting that. All the while, Ramona couldn't help but feel worried about about confronting Lucas again. "Thanks for coming along by the way, guys. It means a whole lot." Scott then said gratefully to Kim and Young Neil.
"Eh, not like we had anything better to do." Kim responded with a shrug. Young Neil would've spoken up, but the moment he tried to, he was cut off by a voice from not too far away. "Glad to know you showed up, Pilgrim! Was beginning to think you were a XXXXX." Lucas Lee said, having spotted Scott with Ramona along with the rest of his stunt team. "Well given what happened between us a the day before, I figured it wasn't a fair fight." Scott then said, complaining about how unfair the fight between him and Lucas was. "But you gotta admit it was an awesome fight, right?" Lucas then pointed out while walking towards the group.
Groaning at his words, Scott couldn't deny that part to the annoyance of Wallace. "So are we gonna fight or what? Because I'm getting bored over here." Kim then bluntly asked, wanting to see some action before, as she thought it, she would die of boredom. "Oh you bet your XXX we are." Lucas then said as he reached Scott and without warning, punched him in the face. Before anyone else could do anything, Lucas grabbed Scott by the legs, whirled him around until tossing him into the side of Casa Loma's tower, five stories up. Scott landed roughly on the ground in a lot of pain, all to the worries of Ramona and Young Neil.
"Come on, be real with yourself Pilgrim...you couldn't even beat me two days ago. What makes you think you can beat me now?" Lucas asked after he stormed over to Scott and grabbed him by his shirt's collar. He then punched his foe in the face, sending him two feet away. Scott got up to fight Lucas, only to see seven of him standing in front of him. "Heh...yep, without my stunt team, I'm nothing in the movies." Lucas (Status: Watching the action happen in front of him. Ramona's Note: Now that's just cold...) said, leaning on a tree behind Scott.
The stunt team began advancing towards Scott to his worry, and one of them even tried to whack him on the head with a skateboard...only to get smacked in the face by Ramona's Large Hammer, turning him into about $6 worth of change to the shock of the stunt crew and Lucas. "Man, that was annoying. You ok?" Ramona asked as she helped Scott to his feet. "Y-Yeah...I'm ok. So uh...together?" He awkwardly responded before getting into his fighting pose again. "Yep...together." Ramona responded, preparing to fight with Scott.
Lucas then joined his stunt crew, eagerly wanting in on the whole fight (Ramona's Note(Again): Can't you make up your mind?!). "Uh Lucas...we're just about to shoot the scene." The director called over to Lucas, even showing that everything was all set up. "Don't worry, it's only gonna take two minutes just to kick this guy's XXX!" Lucas said, looking directly at Scott Pilgrim, of course he saw Ramona there too, but he didn't want to fight her, so of course...he decided to fight Scott instead.
LUCAS LEE AND STUNT CREW
VS.
SCOTT PILGRIM AND RAMONA FLOWERS
ROUND 2
FIGHT!
The stunt crew rushed forwards towards Scott and Ramona, but upon reaching them, the duo fought so hard against them. They proved to be tough fighters, even armed with the skateboards, but with Ramona's brute strength, both she and Scott showed how tougher they were. Scott kneed one of the stuntmen in the face before doing a Shoryuken uppercut that turned him into $4.86 worth of change. Then helping out a bit, Wallace (Note: Yep. Time for me to get involved.) threw an empty beer bottle at one of the stuntmen, hitting him right on the head and knocking him out.
Heck, even Kim spat out an ice breath (Fun Fact: This was actually one of Kim's moves in the game) which blasted one of the stuntmen towards Ramona, allowing her to easily take him out. Scott then came face to face with Lucas, and the two brawled it out. All the while, many people, including crew and the director, watched and even filmed the amazing action going on between the two. "Uh boss, should we stop the fight? I mean, this isn't exactly a good look for Lucas." One of the cameramen asked, feeling like Lucas would get discredited for this before seeing the director's smirk.
"Nope. I'm loving the action. Heck, it'll give me a few ideas in the future." He responded while watching Lucas overpowering Scott no matter how hard the latter tried to fight his girlfriend's second evil ex. After a moment, Scott managed to punch Lucas in the face, but stopped when he heard the latter (Lucas' Note: Not the face!) crying out in so much pain. "Oh XXXX. Are you ok, man? Was that too-?" Before Scott could finish, he got punched in the face and sent flying over to the railings. "Heh...you fell for the ol' fake out trick." Lucas said, looking down at his foe with a smirk and wanting to punch him, only for Ramona to get between the two.
"Hey! That was a XXXX move, even for you Lucas!" Ramona yelled, giving Lucas a hardcore glare. "Come on, Ramona. It's the rules of the league. Besides, at least I'm not hitting you, actually, I could never hit you." Lucas responded in his defence (Scott's Note: Not really a good defence if you ask me.). "Man...you really are a good actor, aren't you?" Scott groaned as Wallace helped him to his feet. "I'm going for the Oscar this year." Lucas then said with pride. "I can see that. More than I can say for your stunt crew over there." Wallace then said before pointing towards what was left of Lucas' stunt team.
"Eh, they'll be fine. They've been through worse." Lucas responded, shrugging off the concerns. Scott tried to think of a way to take care of Lucas, and one that didn't involve him taking him out in front of Ramona...and then he noticed his skateboard and the railings behind him. "Hey uh...you're a pro skater, right?" Scott then asked, faking his curiosity. "You kidding me...? I've got my own skate company." Lucas said, almost offended (Actually, scrap the almost part) at the way Scott asked that question. Wallace figured out what Scott was trying to do and supported his decision.
"Well, before you kick my XXX...how about showing me a little trick on that rail over there?" Scott then asked. Ramona then realised what Scott was up to and tried to stop him from making the decision, only for Lucas to interrupt. "What? A grind on those rails? Are you kidding me...? You think you can goad me into doing something like that?! There's like 200 steps and the rails are garbage!" Lucas exclaimed, thinking Scott was taking the coward's way out. "Well if you think it's too hardcore, I mean...there are girls, and Ramona, watching." Scott then spoke.
Looking over Scott's shoulder, seeing a lot of his fangirls (Status: Always following Lucas wherever he goes...half the time anyway) looking at him with absolute excitement. Since they were here, he figured he might as well do it to Scott's relief...which was short-lived. "As long as you do it, I'll do it." Lucas then said, accepting the challenge, as long as Scott did said challenge with him. "Oh god...what he hell have I got myself into?" Scott groaned in panic, and he was about shake Lucas' hand, but Ramona stopped him. "Scott, don't. It's not worth it." She said, trying to talk Scott out of doing the grind with Lucas.
"Don't worry, I've got this Rammy (No he doesn't...)." Scott said reassuringly before realising what he'd just called his own girlfriend. "Rammy? Are you seriously calling her that?" Kim then asked. "Are you seriously calling me that, Scott?" Ramona then asked, blushing a little while asking. "Uh...maybe?" Scott asked awkwardly. At that moment, Lucas hit him on the back to his shock. "Heh...looks this guy's pretty good, Ramona. He wins, I'll leave you two to it. But if I win...well, we'll see what happens." He said with a chuckle. "Fine. Are we doing this then or what?" Scott asked as he rubbed his back.
"Someone get this kid a board." Lucas then called out before a present box appeared right in front of Scott. He opened it to revel it's contents, a Mithril Skateboard (+4 Speed. +3 Kick. +1 Willpower) but to his annoyance... "W-What...? Aw man, I can't even use this. I didn't pick this back in grade 5." He then groaned before the skateboard disappeared in front of him. "Heh...sucks to be you then." Lucas said before being handed another skateboard which he then gave to Scott. "Scott, do you even know what you're doing?" Kim asked Scott as he prepared to grind the rails. "Honestly...I don't know..." Scott ultimately admitted with a gulp, and Ramona was so close to stopping him too.
SKATEBOARD LEVEL
GO!
Within less than a moment, Lucas jumped onto his skateboard and grinded the rails with Scott (Experience on a skateboard: -0) following afterwards. Scott a bit of trouble balancing on the rails but Lucas grinded like a champ, something that proved to him Ramona's story was true. There was, however...the trouble of going so fast. "What the hell's he thinking?! He could've backed out. He didn't-" Ramona began, worried about Scott as he continued to grind the rails down to the bottom. "Don't worry, Rammy. Scott's always got a plan." Wallace said reassuringly before he saw Scott jumping onto the next rail in panic, nearly falling off in the process.
"But I've been wrong before." Hearing Wallace speak those words, Ramona immediately rushed down the stairs to trying and top Scott from skating to his death. Near the bottom of the rails, Scott used every ounce of determination he could to try and stay on his skateboard. However, he couldn't help but notice how fast he was going, in fact, he could even see Lucas panicking too, even if he didn't notice Scott. This was Scott's chance to take Lucas down once and for all...but at the same time, he couldn't help but feel sympathetic for the skateboarding Hollywood legend. That and he still wanted his autograph (Talk about Skewed Priorities...).
On one hand, Scott could let Lucas skate to his death and win the fight by default, though after what Ramona had told him about Lucas, he felt like he couldn't just let him skate to his death, let alone, skating to his own death as well. And Lucas meanwhile, felt his high school life flash before his eyes, including memories with Ramona too, the fear of never being good enough tormenting him. No...Scott couldn't let him skate to his death, sure it would mean that he'd lose the fight, but at least Ramona wouldn't have to lose someone who she cared about in the past.
At the last second, just before they both crashed onto the pavement, Scott (Status: Going against his own judgement) leapt from his skateboard towards Lucas, knocking him off his skateboard and roughly onto the pavement. The skateboards both shattered to pieces upon impact, and Scott and Lucas just lay there, with Scott relieved and Lucas being both stunned and speechless for a good while. "Scott! Lucas!" Ramona called out, reaching the bottom of the stairs to see both her ex and boyfriend safe, all to her relief. Immediately, she rushed to Scott and hugged him tightly.
"See, told you Scotty had a plan. And it worked, Ramona." Wallace said, though he did get a judgemental stare from Kim a little. "Don't ever do that again!" Kim then yelled after punching Scott in the arm really hard. "Ow! Ok, ok. I won't do that in the future..." Scott responded as he rubbed his arm in pain. Lucas walked over to his broken skateboard and picked up one of the pieces which had his barely recognisable logo on it. "You...You saved me…? But why, Pilgrim? I mean, the League...you and I are..." Lucas asked, turning to Scott with a confused and shocked expression on his face, wondering why Scott had actually risked his life to save him.
"Well...for one thing, Ramona told me about you, how you two spent a lot of time together and...even telling me how leaving you was one of the worst mistakes she ever made...so I couldn't let you die." Scott admitted with a sigh, and Lucas was surprised to hear him knowing his history with Ramona. "Yeah...I never should've left you like that, for that cocky pretty boy and after all I did to help you. Look, I'm not expecting you to forgive me for what I did...but-" Ramona began, feeling like an apology wasn't enough but wanted to do so anyway. Lucas, surprised at getting an apology from his ex, then cut her off gently.
"It's ok, Ramona. Guess I wouldn't have been the man I am today if it wasn't for you, I mean, in a good way, so in a way I have to thank you." Lucas responded back, forgiving her like that (Lucas' Note: Hey, can you blame me? I like being myself). Of course, Wallace would've complained, but Kim shut him up after a second. "So...in terms of the whole fight..." Scott them awkwardly began, wondering if the fight was still on until Lucas answered back. "As far as I'm concerned, you won by default, Pilgrim." Lucas then said, admitting defeat to his slight annoyance and Scott's relief.
"Well, why did you want Ramona back? If you don't mind me asking...?" He then asked, mostly wanting to know Lucas' reason. "I felt like a nobody without Ramona supporting me...I figured if I'd won the fight, we'd get back to dating and I maybe I wouldn't feel that way anymore." Lucas admitted, beginning to explain the real reason why he was fighting to win Ramona's heart back and surprising Ramona on the spot. "Hey...you weren't that much of a nobody, Lucas. And plus, I did see two of your movies. You were pretty amazing in them." She said, her soothing confident tone making Lucas a whole lot better.
"I know you wanted so hard to get back with me, but...we're done. Though come on, I'm sure there's someone else out there for you." She said. Of course, Lucas had admitted defeat, so he knew that part. "Gotta hand it to you, Pilgrim. With Ramona with you, I don't think you'll have a problem defeating the rest of the league." He then said to Scott, even wishing him the best of luck against The League of Exes. Then remembering he had shootings to do up at the top of the stairs, Lucas then left. "W-Wait...what are you gonna do now that you lost?" Young Neil then asked Lucas, who briefly looked back at him, out of curiosity.
"Well, I might take my agent's advice and get my act together. Oh, and if you see that cocky pretty boy, kick him in the balls for me, will you Scott?" He said before turning to Scott and asking one last request, and then he rushed back up the steps to Casa Loma.
Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers SPARED Lucas Lee and gained 2000 points each
Wallace Wells and Kim Pine also gained 2000 points each for assisting Scott and Ramona
"Well, not gonna lie. That was pretty nice." Kim admitted, a faint smile on her face forming. "Wait...cocky pretty boy? How will I know it's him? Oh man, will Lucas kick my XXX if I don't do that?" Scott then asked, panicking a little, as he and the gang walked off from Casa Loma, before being calmed down by Ramona slightly.
"We're all good, Scotty. Lucas won't be coming back to kick your XXX anytime soon." Wallace then said, calming Scott down fully. "Well I didn't get his autograph either, but whatever..." Scott then calmly grumbled, though he managed to suck it up. "So now what? Not to be a pain, and I really don't wanna be, but what are we gonna do for food?" Kim then asked, slightly annoyed and beginning to get hungry. "Uh...pizza?" Scott suggested with a shrug, and thankfully after that fight, the others agreed to go. It was then that Scott and Young Neil realised something that surprised them both. "Wait, has anyone seen Knives?" Scott asked in confusion, wondering why she wasn't around.
Elsewhere...
At Gideon's Lair
Gideon (Emotion: Furious and tempted to destroy something) watched from his throne as Lucas Lee bailed on defeating Scott. Ohhh he felt like physically and mentally crushing that traitor's career. But alas, he kept his cool. He wasn't surprised about this at all. "I did warn you, Lucas..." He muttered under his breath. Heck, he resisted throwing something at the screen and instead, his head glowed brightly. After a moment, Gideon then dialled a number, not from the studios Lucas worked at, but a number of his own league members.
"Todd...remember that chance against Scott Pilgrim you wanted...?" He said, sounding annoyed but smirked as he held up a magazine of Todd Ingram and two other women on the cover. "Yeah, why?" Todd (Status: Doing important band things with his girlfriend. What else?) asked from the other end of the phone. "Meet me at my lair. I'll discuss things there." Gideon then responded, not revealing that much about the situation before he hung up the phone. He was then approached by his own butler about a few moments later.
"Shame about Mr. Lee, master. He seemed so promising as an opponent for that Scott Pilgrim fellow." He said to Gideon, though the latter wasn't remotely phased by it at all and instead, looked at a glowing orb he'd just conjured in his own hand. "Eh, who needs him? Besides...I already did a number on Scotty before the second fight." He said calmly as he observed a memory being played within the glowing orb.
