Chapter Four: Goodbye, Bongo
The Lion Guard was having a great time in their lair, playing and laughing with Bongo. The joyful atmosphere was interrupted when Bongo's mom arrived to pick him up.
Bongo's Mom: "Thank you for taking care of Bongo, Lion Guard." She said warmly.
Kion: "It was no problem at all, Bongo's Mom." He replied with a smile.
Bongo's Mom: "You know, I'm really surprised. Bongo really likes it when you take him on your patrols." She continued.
Fuli: "Yeah, he's such a brave baby baboon." She added.
Bunga: "I hope one day, he'll grow up to be one of the Pride Lands' bravest baboon." He chimed in.
Fuli: "Hehe. Don't forget the Pride Lands' strongest baboon." She giggled, while Bongo playfully tugged her tail.
Ono: "Maybe one day, he'll be able to fight the bad guys with us." He suggested.
Beshte: "I can't wait for that to happen." He said enthusiastically.
Bunga: "That would be Un-bunga-lievable!" He exclaimed.
Kion: "I think Bongo would make a perfect addition to our team." He concluded.
Bongo's Mom: "Well anyway, thank you for watching Bongo." "Say bye to the Lion Guard, Bongo." She said.
Bongo hugged each member of the Lion Guard. When he hugged Fuli, she nuzzled and licked him affectionately.
Bunga: "Aww, you're giving him licks and nuzzles." He teased.
Fuli: *rolls eyes playfully* "Bunga, I'm already used to giving Bongo licks and nuzzles. You don't have to tease me about it anymore." She responded, now used to Bunga's teasing.
Bunga: "Wow, I can't believe what I just heard!" He exclaimed.
Ono: "Wow, Fuli, you're okay with us seeing you giving Bongo licks and nuzzles?" He asked, surprised.
Beshte: "I thought it made you uncomfortable." He added.
Kion: "Heh, I guess not anymore." He said with a chuckle.
Bongo's Mom: "That's enough nuzzles and licks for the day." "Say bye now, Bongo." She said gently.
Bongo waved goodbye to the Lion Guard, and they all waved back. Then she and Bongo have left the lair.
Fuli: "Bye, Bongo." She said softly.
Bunga: "Aww, Fuli misses her best friend." He teased again.
Fuli: "Bunga!" She exclaimed.
Bunga: "Fuli misses Bongo! Fuli misses Bongo!" She sang teasingly, dancing around her.
Fuli: "Bunga, I'm warning you! Cut it out!" She growled.
Bunga: "Okay." He said with a grin, but he couldn't help himself. He whispered to Kion, Beshte, and Ono, "Hey guys, how much do you think Fuli misses Bongo?"
Kion: "She probably misses him a lot," He replied with a grin.
Beshte: "I agree." He nodded.
Ono: "Same here," He said.
Fuli: "What are you guys whispering about?" She asked, suspicious.
Kion: "Uh, we were just, uh…" He stammered.
Ono: "Talking about our favorite watering hole." He quickly said.
Beshte: "Yeah." He confirmed.
Fuli: "Bunga?" He asked, narrowing her eyes.
Bunga: "It's true. We were talking about our favorite watering hole." He lied smoothly.
Fuli: "Hmm." She said, unconvinced, as she started to walk away. But Bunga couldn't resist and whispered again to Kion, Ono, and Beshte.
Bung: "But seriously guys, Fuli does miss Bongo a lot." He said softly.
Fuli: "Bunga!" She shouted, then tackled him.
Bunga: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it! I didn't mean it!" He pleaded.
Fuli: "Yeah, you better," She said, pinning him down.
Kion, Ono, and Beshte just laughed at their antics.
