Somewhere in the Caribbean Sea.
Mei was slowly waking up from her sleep and she was in a king-size bed. She looked extremely comfortable and looked around her room. The room was beautiful with a red and blue color. She slowly got up from the bed and looked outside the window.
Mei: "So... Tropical..." The palm beach waving and the birds flying. Mei gazed at how beautiful the water looked. The sand is so beautiful. But she snapped out of her mind and realized she was not in Japan.
Mei: "Where... Am I...?" Someone opened the door and she quickly turned around and saw a robot with a purple body.
The robot: "Ms. Hatsume. You're finally awake. I hope you rested well. On your left, there's the bathroom and on this chair, there are new clothes for you. I will be waiting outside." The robot closed the door.
Mei: "What the..." In less than an hour she finished taking a shower and put on new clothes. Her clothes were white and with red stripes. Her pants were blue and her shoes red.
The robot gently smiled and told her to follow him. Mei was following the robot and realized the whole place was a mansion. There were robots outside of the window playing football. Others talking and just enjoying the beautiful tropical paradise. She looked forward to where the robot was and saw a couple of humans talking and having a blast. They waved at her and continued to talk.
She was confused but continued to follow the robot. The robot opened a door and told her to enter. She entered the room and the robot closed the door.
Mei looked around and saw that there was a massive table with food.
Mei: "This is too good to be true..."
Dayman: "But it is."
Mei: "HA!" She got scared at the figure with a dragon mask, but he only chuckled and said.
Dayman: "Hehehe... Mei Hatsume... I've been expecting you. Please join me. Let's have breakfast. *He gently offers a hand* please join me."
Mei was hesitant at first, but she held his hand. Dayman chuckles and he gently opens a chair for her and she sits down. He sat next to her and was looking at her.
Mei: "...Who are you?"
Dayman grabbed an orange and began to peel it.
Dayman: "I have many names. But for now. Call me, Dayman. Mei... I need your help to save mankind. *He finally peels the Orange and eats one slice* You see... I've been looking at you for quite some time... *He offers an orange slice*
She takes the orange slice and eats it.
Mei: "You did?"
Dayman nods: "Of course. You're a remarkable inventor. I've been searching for an inventor. Heroes. Villains. Students... I thought I was done for. *He eats another slice of orange grabs a plate that has pancakes and waffles and gives it to her* I saw many who were worthy. But you... You don't stop. Even if your inventions fail... That it's quite remarkable and beautiful..."
She took a bite of a pancake and spoke.
Mei: "Yeah... Uhm... Thanks?"
Dayman got closer to her.
Dayman: "I need your help, Mei. *He gently touched her hand* I want to change the world. I need your mind..." He stood up and walked away.
Dayman: "When you finish eating. Go to that red door. I will be waiting for you." Dayman then left her alone.
Mei: "What the hell is going on..."
Meanwhile in Japan in midnight apartment.
Mt. Lady: "Mhm... You don't have a problem going with older women right? Hehehe *she winks at Ezekiel*
Ezekiel: "Can I go and study?"
Mt. Lady looked at him and was drinking a glass of wine.
Mt. Lady: "Why? Pff! You don't need school today~ you can skip classes now and then!"
Ezekiel: "Thanks but I'm responsible."
Meanwhile somewhere in the Caribbean Sea.
Mei opened the red door and she saw an entire lab.
Mei: "Woah... It's... Beautiful!" The lab had everything that Mei could dream of. She walked closer to a metal fence and saw the entire underground city full of robots.
Mei: "It's an entire civilization down here..."
Dayman saw Mei in the distance.
Dayman: "Ah! Mei! Over here!" Mei quickly walked towards him and she spoke.
Mei: "What's your plan?"
Dayman smiled and spoke
Dayman: "Splendid! Look over there! *He pointed to a dark window* Mei walked closer to the massive window and she saw it.
Mei: "What is that... Is that..."
Dayman was next to her.
Dayman: "A reactor. *He looks at Mei* Mei this reactor could change people's lives. Once I... We make it... We can be heroes..."
Mei: "You killed an old man in cold blood... How can that be a hero? Explain to me... What can this reactor do?
Dayman looked at the massive reactor and said.
Dayman: "It can reach the very peak of your quirk. I need this reactor to work. So I can use my quirk at my fullest without overloading it or even stressing it out."
Mei: "What's your quirk?"
Dayman looks at Mei
Dayman: "I have the power to move metal."
Mei was thinking to herself why does he need this reactor with a quirk like that?
Mei: "But... If you use that machine with that quirk of yours... You can do more than just move metal... Everything that it's metal or even... *She looks at him* You can have the power of magnetism in your hands... Everything around you is metal... The earth with its plates... What are you planning?" She stepped back from him, but a robot was behind Mei.
Dayman: "I want to rebuild this whole world. No more heroes. No more villains."
The realization hits Mei.
Mei: "You're going to use that machine against everyone? You don't get it! What happens if that machine hits someone who doesn't understand what is like to have that immense power? Do you understand the gravity of this situation?"
Dayman: "It's called being a hero. If everyone is super... No one will be. Because you see... When I make this reactor explode. It's going to hit everyone. When good or bad will truly be defined. I will swoop in and save the day."
Mei: "You're insane... There are probably billions of people in this world with quirks that are powerful! You can't just swoop in and save the day! I won't help you... You're insane..."
Dayman got closer to her.
Dayman: "This offer is non-negotiable. *He gently puts his hand on her cheek* my darling... You may not get it now... But... *He removes his hand and begins to walk towards a figure that was tied up* You will thank me later. The world will thank me later. Even if it caused thousands to save millions."
He reveals the figure to be a civilian. He was beaten and scared.
Dayman: "He was also a great inventor like us... But because he only sees the world in a small manner... He was fired... *He grabs a gun from his pocket* You'll be taking his post, Mei Hatsume."
Bang!*
Mei puts her hands on her mouth. She was terrified.
Dayman walked closer to her.
Dayman: "You're my only hope... *He points his gun at her stomach* my last breath... You're my everything..."
Mei's eyes widened in shock realized what he was talking about.
Mei: "You're insane... You've been... Stalking me... You're obsessed with me... *She looks around the lab and was ready to run*
Dayman: "Obsessed is something you must do to collect your price... Your office is right over there. *He pointed behind her. The door had her last name.* Mei... You have time... But I would love for this reactor to be finished in two or three days... Please my dear... I'll give you everything you want..."
Mei: "Can I have my phone."
Dayman nods
Dayman: "Of course. We didn't take anything from you. It's in your office dear."
She gently smiled even though she was still terrified of the situation she was in and she slowly walked towards her office.
She opened the door and she entered the office. She slowly closed the door did a heavy sigh and started to sob silently.
Mei: "... Why me..." She looks around trying not to panic. Her office was massive it looked like a lair.
Mei: "Where's your desk? *She looked around and saw her desk. It was next to the window looking at the beach* Nice view... *She saw her phone and she quickly grabbed it and was going to call someone.* No signal?! Nrgh! *She puts her phone away*
She sat down on her desk and was looking at the view. She was so anxious that she didn't know what to do.
Knock knock* someone open the door. It was another robot that had a plate for food for her. The robot place the plate on her desk.
The robot: "Do you need anything else, Mrs. Hatsume?" Mei looks at the robot
Mei: "Oh uhm... Yeah... *Sniff* Can you give me a napkin? What's your name?"
The robot: "I have no name. But if you want to give me one. You can."
Mei: "Oh... Uhm... Can I call you Ana?"
Ana: "Why of Course. I will bring your napkin shortly."
Before Ana could leave, Mei stopped her because she saw something in her office.
Mei: "Ana what's that? *She pointed at a strange machine*
Ana: "It's a great beyond. It's a machine that is a mix of the big hammer, Tour the forge, welding, and other stuff. "
Ana walks closer to the machine and pulls a lever down. The machine began to lift. One part of the machine was on the floor and the other was rising in the air. It looked like a pancake maker. Mei walked closer to the machine and said.
Mei: "Can it make anything?"
Ana: "Anything. For example. If I want to make a gun. *Walks to the computer that was next to the machine and begins to type the word gun* Let's choose an AK47. *She picks up the AK* Now look at the machine. It's making the design like a 3d printer."
Mei looked closely and saw that the machine was making the design with precision and accuracy.
Ana: "Now we need something else. Let's grab this piece of metal chair and place it over there." Ana grabbed the chair that was next to Mei and placed it in a bin that was connected to the machine.
Ana: "Now let's pull the lever." She pulled the lever and the machine closed in less than two seconds. The machine created a gun with the same fabric as the chair.
Mei slowly reached for the gun and had an idea.
Mei: "Ana... You said this machine can create anything?"
Ana: "Indeed. But I will leave you alone now. Dayman will arrive shortly with the blueprints for the reactor." Ana left the office and was looking at the machine.
Mei: "Mhm... Dayman's Quirk is metal... He's probably sensing the gun right now... But just to make sure... I'll hide it..." Mei quickly hid the gun and sat on her desk waiting for him to arrive.
Meanwhile In Japan
Midnight: "Alright... Uhm... Ezekiel... Is there something wrong? You haven't... Eaten yet."
Ezekiel was looking down on the floor with his legs crossed. He was also looking at his phone on why Mei hadn't texted him yet.
Mt. Lady was still in the apartment with the two. She looks at Midnight and Said:
Mt. Lady: "You know, Nemuri... He's been acting like this after his watch started to Beeb all day..."
Midnight looked at her
Midnight: "Uhm what? What do you mean he's acting up like this since his watch started beeping, Yu? Where's the watch?"
Mt. Lady gave her the watch and it was broken.
Mt. Lady: "Don't look at me. He broke it."
Before midnight could say anything, someone was knocking at her door. She got up and opened it.
Midnight: "Oh uhm hi? Can I help you?"
It was one of the guardians and he gave her a prescription.
Guardian: "Sorry to bother you ma'am, but these are Ezekiel's prescription pills. These are his last pills. So here. He needs to get them tomorrow if you have the chance."
The guardian gave her the pills and he left. Midnight closed the door and walked towards Mt. Lady and sat down again.
Midnight reads carefully the pills
Midnight: "Quirk suppressing pills? *She reads the other one* Mood stabilizer? Huh?"
Mt. Lady grabs the pills.
Mt. Lady: "So your cute son needs a bipolar disorder pill? Huh? He's always calm so that's probably it." She walked towards Ezekiel with the pills.
Mt. Lady: "I'll get you some water alright?" She walked towards the kitchen and was making Ezekiel a glass of water.
Midnight was still looking at the quirk-suppressing pills.
Midnight: "That's very odd... Like seriously... He wears handcuffs and a helmet. I just don't understand... Why does he need so much stuff for his quirk?"
Mt. Lady walked closer to Ezekiel and gave him the water. He gently grabs the pills and swallows them with the water. He then looked up and said:
Ezekiel: "Thank you."
Mt. Lady slightly taps his head and walks closer to midnight.
Mt. Lady: "What's the kid's quirk?"
Midnight puts the pills on the table and said.
Midnight: "It's called Toon force or cartoon logic... I don't see how it's that strong to need all of this. Yeah, he's strong he fought endeavor boy like nothing. But seriously every quirk is not that dangerous."
Mt. Lady was thinking and spoke.
Mt. Lady: "Cartoon logic? I haven't watched a cartoon show since I was a kid... But I think I remember how this toon force power works."
Midnight leans forward.
Midnight: "How does it work?"
Mt. Lady stretched her hands up and slowly put them down after she was done.
Mt. Lady: "One it's called cartoon physics. Not logic. Second, if I remember correctly. The cartoon characters can manipulate reality or bypass physical laws of nature to achieve impossible feats of comedic effects."
Midnight was taken aback by this revelation. She looks at her son and then looks back at Mt. Lady.
Midnight: "Yu... You're not lying about this right? Because when he fought endeavor son he... Oh wow..."
They both looked at Ezekiel and he got up and went to the other room.
Mt. Lady: "Does he have your quirk as well? You know. Like endeavor's kid."
Midnight nods
Midnight: "Yeah. He rarely uses it... Mhm..."
Mt. Lady was looking at midnight closely.
Mt. Lady: "What's with that look? I don't like that... You're not going to force him to use your quirk right?"
Midnight smirks.
Mt. Lady: "Oh boy... He's still your son. You know that right?"
Midnight looks at Mt. Lady.
Midnight: "I know he's my boy. I'm not thinking of any vulgar things. I'm simply thinking if he can have a nice team vs team match."
Mt. Lady chuckles.
Mt. Lady: "Ohh... Right, that... Hehehe."
Midnight: "What do you think I was thinking of?"
Mt. Lady: "Nothing... Nothing..."
Meanwhile in the Caribbean Sea on an island.
Dayman opens the door with some files in his hands.
Dayman: "Ah, Mei! How are you feeling?"
Mei was looking at Dayman and she was holding an apple.
Mei: "Good." Dayman sat in front of her and placed the files on her desk.
Dayman: "Alright! Here are the plans for the reactor. We already did some final touches on the reactor. But... Looking closely at these... It's missing something you know? *He slides the files forward to her* can you check?"
She picked up the blueprint and looked at it closely.
Mei: "It's missing more parts. Two or three plates should work. With the dime you stoled you can place it in the middle of the reactor's eye, so when the sunlight hits the solar panels... *She reads the blueprint again* You're not going to use sunlight huh?"
She had the AK under her desk.
Dayman leans closer to her.
Dayman: "Clever girl. You see Mei... I need radiation for this... But not just any radiation... A bomb one..."
Mei was holding the gun.
Dayman: "I'm going to shoot that reactor in the sky. So the American heroes would stop me. But of course. I have you. The Japanese heroes are still looking for you dear. I'll threaten your life; not really of course. I'll use a decoy for you. Most of the robots here are made out of liquid. So they can shape shift into you."
Mei raised an eyebrow about to press the trigger.
Mei: "You'll execute me on live television I'm assuming? So both countries can go straight to here? Smart move..."
Mei began to fire, but nothing was coming out of the gun.
She smirked and knew that Dayman was already sensing the gun because it was metal. Making her theory real. Dayman can sense metal.
Mei: "That's a clever little boy huh?"
Dayman chuckles.
Dayman: "Like I said... It needs the radiation of a bomb. I already have one. But you're making me the other one. I needed it to create more power for the dime. The reactor is already finished. Before you were here. I just needed help with these files for the finishing touches." Dayman destroyed the gun that was underneath her desk with his quirk.
Mei chuckles and says:
Mei: "I'm going to feed you, your own heart."
Dayman got up and chuckled.
Dayman: "Can't wait. Once I enter that reactor... No hero will stand in my way... No villain... I will bring peace to the world. Rest my dear. Tomorrow is going to be a long day."
Dayman walked away. Leaving Mei alone.
Mei: "I knew it. He can sense iron... *She puts the AK on the desk and it was destroyed completely. Snapped in half* He can do that... Mhm... I wonder what type of liquid these robots are."
She pressed a button and Ana entered the room.
Ana: "Yes, Mrs. Hatsume?"
Mei: "Ana. These robots. Are they made out of metal?"
Ana: "Depends on the robots. If we are talking about me and the servants robots then yes. We are made out of metal. But if we are talking about the guards robots then they are made out of a matter. Very hard to find."
Mei leans back from her chair.
Mei: "Then what type is the shapeshift one?"
Ana: "They are made out of Gallium metal and Tungsten metal. Most of us are made out of metal. Although... *Looks at the machine* If you're trying to escape. My only option is to overload his quirk. His body will just lose the metal killing him slowly." Ana walks away.
Mei sat there thinking to herself. She could sabotage his plan. But he could also sabotage hers. Mei knew she was not facing any student. She's not facing any teacher. She's facing a villain.
Ana entered once more.
Ana: "Do you want me to bring you the metal I told you earlier? Mrs. Hatsume?"
Mei looks at her and nods.
And then left again.
Mei looked at the machine once more and then was looking at her broken goggles that were in her jacket. She remembered what every student told her. Her friends. Her competitors. Her teachers. The same word was going on her mind over and over again. Support heroes rarely fight on the front line. But she knew she had no choice but to be in the front line. She remembers what the toolbox told her. But most importantly... What power loader told her.
"Your inventions... Are amazing... But you can do more than just that..."
Mei put her goggles on her desk and started to make some blueprints. It was already dark, but she left her office and Ana was waiting for her.
"Not every battle is won with your fist... Sometimes it needs a mind. Your mind."
Both Ana and Mei entered an elevator.
"But you can make something better. Something..."
Ana spoke:
Ana: "Something bothering you, Mrs. Hatsume?"
Mei: "No. Just thinking about my new project name."
Ana: "Oh? Do you have one in your mind?"
Mei smirks and looks down on her hands.
Mei: "Invincible."
