Chapter 4: The first delivery
Morning came as Stolas slept peacefully on the bed as he woke up a bit seeing the rising sunlight and went back to sleep but he pushed himself to get up as he had work to do in the bakery as he went outside to see if there was no one out and then rushed downstairs to the bathroom to clean up and get ready for his new job. It didnt take long to do his buisness as he flushed the toilet and wash his hands as he went out but gasped seeing Moxxie as he was walking out whistling doing some stretches to loosen up his body in preparation for todays work and went inside to open up the store. Once gone Stolas sighed in relief as he hurried up to the attic as he pulled out his money tin and started to count out the money he had saved for the trip as Gekko Moria woke up. "How much do you think it will cost to get a phone here?" He pondered "A phone?" Asked Moria curious
"Yup, we are gonna need a pone because I am thinking of starting up a buisness as a delivery boy, ooh better tell Millie about it" he said to his familiar. Later on as Moxxie and Millie started to open up there store Stolas had gotten dress as he and Moria entered their kitchen "Good morning everyone" he greeted "Well look who is up and early, did you sleep well?" Asked Mille "Yup I did, and *Walks up to the oven smelling the delicious bread" that smells amazing can I help out?" He asked "Sure can" said Millie carrying a tray of cooked bread to the front to stock up as Stolas joined in to help out as Moira watched curious as Moxxie closed the door to the oven and stared at the shadow chibi as the poor chibi looks nervous as the imp stared at him as Moxxie got out two trays as with expertise spinned and set them down with a smile as Morai watched in awe at the practiced skill.
Mewnwhile up front Stolas explained to Millie about his plan as he placed some bread on the shelf "A delivery buisness huh?" Said Millie smiling at the idea "Well I have only one skill and that's flying and its touch and go with my grimware magic, so I thought a delivery service wouldn't be a bad idea" Stolas explained "Ohh its a wonderful and cute idea, Stolas delivery service and since you are staying right here, I can be your first account" said Mille as Stolas beamed "You really mean it? Oh that is wonderful, I was planning on putting a phone upstairs" said Stolas "But a phone is so expensive" said Millie knowing its true "I have a little bit saved up already" Stolas assured as Moria sat on a chair watching Moxxie spread butter on the bread before putting them in the oven "Dont waste your money, what I think you should do is use our phone, it will take time to get regular customers *taps her chin and gets an idea* tell you what since I am expecting a baby I could use help, if you mind the store once in a while, I'll let you have the room and the phone and I'll throw in a free breakfast okay?" Said Millie as Stolas smiled at the kindness "Yeah! We got a deal I am gonna work hard for you *Runs to the front* Millie you are the greatest!" He yelled as Millie laughed at the sweet owl as she follows him to stock more bread as both Moxxie and Moria heared every thing and looked at each other as Moxxie winks at the little chibi with a smile as he looked away shy.
The store was starting to pick up and get busy as Stolas helped with the customers. Later in the day back in the attic he started cleaning up to get rid of the dust and suck as he took off his prince like outfit for a simple shirt and rolled up his pant legs as he scrubbed the floor so they won't get wet as he sighed in relief as he got all cleaned and straightened out "There all cleaned up, Moria come on I'm all done lets do some shopping" he said after he showed and got dressed as he left the store to begin to spend his money on what he needs as Moria was on his head as he runs across the street until a cars horn was heard as they yelled as Stolas ran to avoid the car until he got to the other side panting as he quickly straightened up his shirt and walked on. "Stolas in a big city like this you cant just run out into the street, you need to look both ways" said Moria
"I'm sorry Moria but we are still alive are we?" He assured as he kept on walking forward as he walked pass three boys Ash Ketchum (A pikachu gijinja), Goh (A Cinderace humanoid) and Luffy (A monkey like helleborn) laughing and joking around as Stolas frowns and walks by to mind his own buisness as he didnt bother to greet them as he thought they are not friendly as he turned around a corner and saw himself in a window as he saw beautiful outfits as he sighed
"I wish I had something more amazing to wear, I look so childish dressed like this" he said as he continued on as he went to the grocery store to buy his needs, instead of a phone he looked at a small pan and the price "Geeze its so expensive" said Stolas a bit unused to this place as it is far diffrent then his home "Hay Stolas look its my whisps" said Gekko Moria showing a mug with a beautiful halloween theam as Stolas hooted chuckled. Minutes later taking the mug and the items he needed as he went to the cashier as he watched her scan the price total as he pays her with the money he had as she gave the owl change and the recipt "Thanks" he said as he walks outside carrying two bags of stuff he purchased as Moria was on his shoulder "Any money left Stolas?" He asked "Not much looks like all we can afford to eat now is only pancakes and we cant even add flavoring to them" said Stolas as Moria moaned at not being able to flavored pancakes as Stolas stopped infront of a mens clothing store as he smiled "Oh I hope one day I can we are such beautiful cloths" he said smiling.
Meanwhile in a care a familiar looking imp was driving in a car with his freinds Frizzaroli, Moxxie and Striker with Striker driving the car as they drove down the street as the imp gently slapped Strikers arm to stop as the serpent imp slowed down pulling over "You gonna talk to the owl? Good luck because he seems a bit full of himself" said Striker as the serpent like imp ignored him as Stolas got close as he leaned out "HI there ? Names blitzo you may not know about who called theif yesterday that was me" said Blitzo as Stolas gave a look and looked away bit embarrassed on yesterdays encounter with Chase "so how come you are not flying today? That was awsome cool" said Blitzo as Stolas humphed looking away "You can tell he is a witch due to his outfit" said Blitzo as Stolas storms off "Ahh come on come back please I am sorry" he said as his freinds laughed at him "Better luck next time Bltz" said Frizzaroli as the imp pouted.
Soon Stolas and Moria arrived at the back of the baker and was about to head upstairs to put his things away until Millie opened the door and spots him "Oh Stolas perfect timing, there is a half angel here who wants you to make a delivery, he's your first customer" said Millie as Stolas eyes widened "A customer? Hold on I'll be right back" said Stolas as he quickly rushed back into the attic to take care of the bags as he placed them on a table and got a notebook and pen that he purchased out of the bag and ran to the bakery as Moria followed as he stops and sees his first customer, a human looking figure named sumac but judging from the gemstone in his neck was a half angel and had his wings tucked in. "Dear this fella is a customer of ours and we were talking about your new delivery service" said Millie "What a kind hearted boy" said Sumac "My name is Stolas sir" said Stolas bowing.
"And very polite, Millie told me great things about you, do you think you can deliver this by tonight?" He asked showing a cage that was covered "I can sir" said Solas as Gekko Moria peeked underneath it "Its a birthday gift for my Niece, but something came up and I cant make it to the party in time" explained Sumac "I can get it for you guaranteed, show me the map of where you want it delivered" he said proudly as Moria saw it was a teddy bear that looked like his full dopple shadow mode "Curios its me" he said tilting his head curious as Sumac helped showed the location where his Daughter and niece lived "Are you sure it won't be to far for you?" Asked Sumac "I can fly straight from here no problem" said Stolas beaming "Great how much will it cost?" Asked Sumac as Stolas wilted a bit as he forgot to set a price as he just started his delivery buisness "Oh, well I haven't really thought about the price" he said as the half angel hummed "I see, then how about this much then? *Holds out some moen* I hope this will be enough" he said as Stolas was surprised by the amount "This much for me? That is great thank you" said Stolas.
Outside Blitzo was riding his bike down the street as he stopped and looked back seeing Stolas flying off "Yeah I really need to see this: he said as he turned his bike and peddles to the bakery as Millie watches as they both watch the owl fly higher and higher.
"Hes the most amazing owl boy I ever seen" Blitzo spoke "He sure is" said Millie as Blitzo got curious "Hay what can you tell me about him?" Asked Blitzo as Millie looked at the younger imp.
Stolas flew higher and higher away from the city for two reasons, one to find the location and two to not face Chase again "Stolas how high do you intend to go?" Asked Moria holding to the broom for dear life "This is my first job as a delivery boy and I do not want to be stopped by the traffic robot again" said Stolas as he checked the map to find the location "Well dont you look down there is a airplane flying under us!" Yelled Moria as Stolas looked down and saw one indeed as the owl founded the location on the map "Now lets see here, alright its just past the cape and here we go!" Said Stolas "Oh Dear!" Said Moria as Stolas dove down fast as they continued to fly to there destination "I am starting to like this town more and more" said Stolas happy he is slowly adjusting as Moria looked sick "Well I'm getting sick to my stomach" the chibi groaned hoping he won't get sick "I cant wait to write to Mama Beth and Mama Bella about my new buisness" said Stolas
As they flew away from town they both turned and saw a flock of Pigiot and there evolved forms flying behind them as Stolas was in awe "Woah, look who's behind us, Wild pidiog and they are flying with us" said Stolas as he watched them flying from above as he flew to keep up with them "Hi there" said Stolas as he laughed as they call which worried him "They seem awfully upset" said Stolas concerned "They say they're gonna fly higher because there a gut of wind that is coming" said Moria as he translate what they are saying as the flock all soon stopped a wind gust allowed them to fly higher as Stolas screamed as the wind blew at him causing to loose control of his brow as he hung on but saw the cage falling towards the trees as he got back in control as he flew down to catch it but he and Morai crashed into the trees "That was close" said Stolas however a Corvisquire cawed at him angrily as Stolas looked at it as he saw that he and Moria crashed near a nest "Oh dear! A nest, I am really sorry" he yelped as the female tried to claw his feathers as he left "Leave me alone!" He shouted as he flew out as she chased him "I wasn't gonna take your eggs really mame" said Stolas but the Corvisquire was still cawing but stopped to return to her nest seeing that Stolas was away.
"*Sighs* that was close" said Stolas relief the Crow pokemon wasn't chasing him "Well it was your fault, the Pidgiot were kind enough to warn us of that wind but would you listen?" Lectured Moria "Oh hush Moria" said Stolas as he looked up to see the flock flying so very high thanks to the wind "Look at them so up high, that gust of wind took them all the way up" he said wondering if he will be able to do the same as well. "Uh Stolas we got a problem, the toy fell out" said Gekko moria as they checked the cage and it was true "We've got to go back!" Stolas stops his broom as he turns to find the toy but he gasps as the flock of Corvisquire flew out of the trees cawing angrily "They are calling you an egg stealer I wouldn't go back down there again if I were you" said Moria "We have to hold on Moria" said Stolas as he dove down but one of the Corvisquires flew towards him as he yelps loudly as more flew pass him to chase him out as Stolas screams as they flew and chased him as some began to peck on him.
"Hay stop that! Leave me alone!" He yelled moving the cage to shoo them away "Leave us alone! Stop it!" He yelled flying away as the flock flew back towards the tree as Stolas and Moria watch them fly back to the trees. They need a plan B.
"We better rethink our plan" said Stolas as he hummed "Frankly the is a major insult, I read that Corvisquire used to serve witches and warlocks they do what you told them to do" said Gekko Moria as Stolas glared "That's a diffrent story!" Yelled Stolas "How about if we go in after dark? Go in get it and get out" said Moria "We won't be able to make it in time" said Stolas as he studied the chibi "Unless we can by us some time" said Stolas smirking. "You got to be kiding me!" Said Gekko Moria snapping at Stolas as he was in the cage to the the dolls place unto Stolas finds it. "You can just pretend to be the doll until I find the real one" said Stolas until he spots the house to where he delivered the cage "I dont like this stolas" said Moria nervous "Dont worry we are almost there" he assured "Can I breath?" Asked Moria "No breathing" said Stolas as he lands in front of the open door and rings the bell as he waits and looks at the cage as Morai covered his body in shadows and stood still.
"That must be my present from Uncle sumac" yelled a little boys voice showing a yellow robot humanoid sinner named Hot Shot (Rescue bots academy) as Stolas gently gives the cage to the little bot "Here you go" said Stolas as Hot shot pulled up the sheet and saw Morai "Wow a plush toy, thanks sir" he said running inside as a red haired half angel/half techno organic female named Sari Sumac as she came up to greet him "You're a bit late, after my father called we were wondering where you were" said Sari "I am sorry about that *Holds out his notepad and pen* can I please have your signature mame?" He asked as Sari sighed her name on his notepad. "Mama can I put the cannery in the cage please?" Asked Hot Shot "Sure but make sure to not let it fly away" said Sari "Okay" said Hot Shot as Stolas was worried when Hot shot took Moria out of the cage "I've gotta run bye" said Stolas as he quickly took off to find the real toy "Thank you and enjoy your present" said Stolas as Sari watch in awe as he flew away "Amazing just like Father-in law said" she muttered.
Inside Gekko Moria was thrown onto the floor as he watched the little bot having a bit of trouble to get the Cannery into the cage as the shadow chibi whimpered when he saw a shinny Luxury female named Lucia sleeping as he sweated a bit "Please hurry Stolas" he whispered as Lucia sniffed the chibi after waking from her nap to check him out later. Poor Moria has to stay still as long as he can so Stolas can find the toy.
Authors note: well first time delivery cant be perfect so long as you try to fix it up.
Next chapter Stolas sets to get the lost toy and meets a non-binary mechanical owl sinner painter who managed to find the toy.
