Chapter 120 Wake of the Dead
"So let me get this straight we have no idea when either of these two first appeared." Lane asked
"None. Rip was only able to predict that the new Dark Rider appeared shortly after everyone got their powers back. As for the Rainbow Rider well...I think something triggered him to come out." Sean said.
"What about the universal explosion that made everyone lose their powers for two years?" Talbot asked.
"No this has nothing to do with that I'm sure of it. No something else happened that brought these two in. I know both of them have to be connected in some way. The timing is nearly exact. First the new Dark Rider and then the Rainbow Rider. Thats far from any accident." Sean said looking at the screen showing the two.
"Hmm. We'll have to figure this out later. Right now we still need to find the Regime." Eiling said as the military council left while Sean stayed and looked at the two.
"What are we not seeing?" Sean asked himself before he left.
Arriving back home Sean passed by a room and frowned before he entered it. Inside was Sheyara's room with all her stuff including her old helmet which had been gathering dust making him sigh.
"You still miss her don't you?" Diana asked leaning against the door.
"Mmm. I don't blame her for leaving. After realizing your actions could have destroyed an entire world I probably would have left as well." Sean said blowing the dust off.
Suddenly an alert came up.
"Yeah go ahead, Sam." Sean said.
"We might have just had a breakthrough as to where the Regime is. You need to see this." Lane said.
"I'm on my way." Sean said.
Later
"Ok so what is this thing?" Sean asked seeing a small device on the table.
"Wells built this. He believes we can track our Vilgax's unique energy signature across the multiverse. We find that energy signature we find the rest of the new Regime. Then we can take them out and hopefully destroy whatever the hell Frax is up to." Lane said.
"Every living being in any universe has the same identical energy to that universe." Wells said.
"Yeah I found that out when I met Lex's double when he asked for help taking down the Syndicate. So how long till it's operational?" Sean asked.
"It already is. Just need to track his energy signature down. We should have it by Tomorrow morning." Wells said.
"Good. We're that much closer to finding the Regime and putting them down." Sean said before he left.
Meanwhile
"NO!" Frax yelled having observed the whole conversation. "I need more time!" Frax yelled in anger.
"What are you babbling about?" Vilgax asked walking in.
"The Legion has a way to track us down! I need more time before my projects are finally complete at least a few more days." Frax said.
"I was hoping perhaps we could avoid conflict for a while longer but if our goals are to succeed. My forces will destroy this device and cause enough damage to Earth to buy you some more time. But you had better speed up your progress." Vilgax said before leaving.
"Oh. If they find out what I've been building Ransik will make sure I face deaths row." Frax said in worry before looking out the window seeing a large metal sphere covering his greatest invention yet.
Meanwhile
Sean, Frank Castle and Russo were at an old bar they used to come to before Rawlings tried to kill Sean and his family.
"So we're this close to tracking down the Regime?" Russo asked.
"Pretty much. Its about damn time as well. I'm itching to take down Vilgax." Sean said.
"Yeah you ain't the only one. He's been on our list since the Legion first started." Frank said.
"So...How are things between you and Sara?" Sean asked Russo making him choke on his drink before coughing a little.
"Um...Theres nothing going on really." Russo said making them laugh.
"Yeah right." Frank said.
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Russo asked.
"Bill, We know you more than anyone. We know when a relationship of yours is a quick thing. Lasts a week or two and then it ends. You've been hanging out with Sara since day one three months ago." Sean said.
"That doesn't mean anything." Russo said.
"Sure it does." Frank said making him raise an eyebrow.
"You two really things theres more between us?" Russo asked.
"Well, being honest it wouldn't surprise me. You two are a lot alike. Both of you have made decisions you regret. Both of you were technically dead. Although you were just in a coma." Sean said.
"Wait what do you mean dead?" Russo asked.
"Oh you don't know? Sara was killed by Malcom Merlin about ten years ago. A year later I convinced Ra to use the pit to revive her but she did have some problems since the Dead aren't really supposed to come back to life in the pit. Took us a while but eventually we got her under control and she learned to control her blood lust." Sean said.
"She never mentioned that." Russo said.
"Not exactly a good memory. I mean have you told her about some of your less proud moments?" Sean asked.
"Good point. So happened to Merlin?" Russo asked.
"No idea. No one has seen him since Adrian's little stunt on Oliver's island. I know he's alive out there somewhere. Guy like that doesn't die easy. Oliver thought he had killed him once but apparently he faked it." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Thea was laughing as she played with her niece Mia Queen who laughed at her Aunt.
"Hello." Reznov said walking into the arrow cave.
"Hey Reznov. What are you doing here?" Oliver asked.
"I am here to deliver some very good news. We may have finally caught a break in locating the Regime." Reznov said.
"I thought locating them was gonna be difficult." Dig said.
"Wells had a huge breakthrough. Once we lock onto Vilgax's unique energy signature we'll locate him and the rest of the Regime in seconds." Reznov said.
"When?" Roy asked.
"Tomorrow morning at best. So I would get ready since if we get extreamly lucky we can end the Regime once and for all and focus on Cadmus and Thanos." Reznov said.
Later
Sean was in Louisiana at a fashion show where Vixen and Rias Gremory.
And speaking of the later she came out in a two piece golden Bikini that had an Egyptian design to it. (Picture it as the Skimpy outfit Rias wore in the second OVA episode in the first season)
"Hello." Sean said before she looked at him and winked making many of the men glare at him in jealously making him smirk before his phone went off.
"Yeah?" Sean asked.
Walking back to the dressing room Sean found Vixen and Rias in the back before they walked up to him and kissed him.
"Your early." Vixen said.
"I'd say I timed things perfectly." Sean said.
"We meant for our dinner date." Rias said as the two changed behind curtains. "The fashion show isn't over for another hour." Rias said.
"It is for us. We got a Legion business." Sean said.
"We figured as much." Vixen said stepping out in her outfit as did Rias. (Can someone please give me some costume ideas for her since I'm drawing up blanks right now)
"Aren't you gonna get dressed?" Rias asked grinning before his armor appeared.
"It only takes me a second to get into my gear." Sean said. "Come on I'll fill you both in on the way." Sean said as they left.
Later
Sean, Vixen and Rias flew to where the situation was happening before a police car flew past them making Sean drop Vixen and grabbed it before putting it down before resuming their course.
"Fate called it in. Grundy is back." Sean said.
"The Zombie guy? I thought he was actually dead?" Rias said.
"Some idiot kids used a book of spells thinking it would give them powers but ended up reviving him." Sean said.
"He's a heavy hitter though." Vixen said.
"We can manage." Sean said before they heard roaring and looked ahead seeing Grundy with a bus in hand. "Oh man, don't do it!" Sean said before he threw the bus. "SHIT!" Sean yelled going after it.
"We got him." Rias said before she blasted Grundy making him roar.
Venom quickly took over and fired webs to stop the bus before it landed softly on the ground.
"He looks stronger compared to the file." Venom said.
"Does he? The spell those idiots used might have given him some extra strength." Sean said as he took over and flew back to them.
Rias continued to blast Grundy but he just seemed to shrug it off before punching her back with great force making her fly away before Vixen rushed in and caught her.
"Rias." Vixen said trying to wake her up when Grundy walked to them making her frown before Superman rushed in and punched him away.
"Last I checked he was nowhere near this strong." Vixen said.
"I know. Get her out of here. I'll hold him off." Superman said before she carried her away just as Grundy walked to him. "Come on, Grundy! We've been through this before. You don't have a chance against me. Let's talk this over." Superman said before Grundy slugged him into a building.
Then Sean flew in and blasted him forcing him back before his left arm became crystal before turning into a blade and slashed him in the chest making him roar.
"I don't think we're dealing with the same Grundy anymore. Something is defiantly different about him." Sean said before stomping the ground making it rise up and hits grundy into the air. Superman took this chance to fly to him and punched him down with great strength and made a crater.
"Talbot we're gonna need some help here." Sean said as Grundy got back up like nothing happened.
"Yeah I hear ya." Talbot said before a portal opened up and Hulk, Thor and Hawkeye rushed in.
Thor tried to restrain Grundy but like before he was proving to be a lot stronger than before and threw him into a building before slapping his hands together creating a sonic boom that shattered all the windows. Next Superman tried to rush in again but got slugged away at a far distance and hit one of the pillars of a bridge before crashing into the water.
The Bridge quickly became unstable and started coming apart. However out of the water appeared Aqua man on a giant octopus before it started to keep the bridge from collapsing. However a car above fell off with a woman and her daughter before the top was ripped off and someone carried them away to the pier. When this person landed the two ran away and who recused them tried to fly into the battle but.
"Shayera?" Sean asked seeing Hawkgirl again after 2 long years and no longer wore her original outfit or her helmet.
"Uh...Been a while." Shayera said a little awkwardly.
"Over two years. So you never left Earth after all." Sean said before Superman came out of the water. "You okay?" Sean asked before he spat out water.
"Do I look Okay?" Superman asked annoyed.
"Not my fault you took a dive." Sean said making him groan in annoyance while Sheyara giggled. "Lets get this over with Grundy is getting on my nerves." Sean said.
"Perhaps we could be of some assistance" DR. Fate said as he, AMAZO and Aqua Man arrived.
"Wait before we try to put him down I want to talk to him." Sheyera said flying off.
"Hey wait a minute!" Sean yelled making Vixen frown.
Grundy was in the middle of pushing a building down when.
"Grundy!" Sheyera yelled making him stop and face her. "It's me." Sheyera said before.
"Pathetic."
Sheyera screamed as she got blasted by some energy weapon. Grundy grunted before he started having flashes of memories making him hold his head.
The person who blasted Sheyera was a alien with blue skin Red eyes and had a large hat. This was Cade Bane one of the most dangerous Bounty hunters to ever live.
"You know you've got a large bounty on you Hawkgirl." Cade Bane said about to adjust his blasters for Stun. "I wonder how Much Vilgax will pay once I bring you to him." Bane said when a large wall of crystal. "Hmm?"
"Cade Bane." Sean said dropping down in front of him. "It's been a long time." Sean said glaring at him from behind his helmet.
"Kruger." Bane said. The first time these two had met was a month after the Legion was formed. Jabba the Hutt was not pleased to learn about the Legion making a name by stopping crime. So he hired Cade Bane to kill him. That had failed dramatically and Sean retaliated by purging the Universe of Jabba's species before bringing them back devolved.
"So now you're working with the Regime." Sean said.
"Not much choice. You do what you have to in order to survive. People like Jango and other Bounty hunters who have morals work for you. But people like me have methods you don't approve of. So the only people I can work for are for people like Vilgax. I wonder how much he'd be willing to pay for your dead corpse." Bane said before blasting him but the shots just bounced off.
"I don't think so." Sean said before stomping on the ground before more crytals came out and nearly stabbed him had he not used his jet boots to fly away.
Suddenly a red portal opened up before other members of the Regime showed up. Chase Young, Crossbones, Atlas and Olympius.
"Uh Sean we've got a huge problem here!" Cisco yelled on the comms.
"Yeah and I'm looking right at them." Sean said.
"No! There are reports of the Regime in several Locations! Central City, Star City, New York and Washington!" Cisco yelled.
In New York
Category four and five Kaiju's came out of the ocean before heading to the city while the civilians ran in terror.
"AHHHH!" Craven yelled as HEAT quickly ran out of the building as one Kaiju crushed it...With NIGEL undamaged. "Oh thank goodness." Craven said in relief...Right before the building fell on him and crushed NIGEL. "NOOOOO!" Craven yelled in despair. (I don't know why they made that a thing in the TV serious but hey It worked out beautifully)
Suddenly coming out of the ocean was Zilla who roared at the Kaiju before King Ghidorah flew in and took some out.
At the the Statue Of Liberty Lothor laughed at the destruction the monsters were causing.
"Ah I love the smell of destruction early in the morning." Lothor said before the Kaiju started destorying the Empire state building before it came tumbling down making him laugh.
However suddenly the Civilians under it were all quickly taken away before it could crash.
"Hmm?" Lothor said in confusion before he saw Flash, Kid Flash, Jessie Quick, Quick Silver and Jay Garrick. "Ahh the speedsters." Lothor said.
"Nice going guys." Cisco said on the comms.
"Yeah we got everyone out of the way." Flash said.
"Ralph and Firestorm can handle things here. You just keep everyone out of harms way from those things." Caitlin said.
"Will do." Wally said before they were blasted away by Lothor.
"You speedsters really take the fun out of destruction. Why can't you be more like Thawne?" Lothor asked making Barry growl and tried to rush him but he quickly dodged and blasted him away. "Really? You think I can't keep up with your speed?" Lothor asked before a portal opened up and the Ninja Storm Rangers came through.
"We'll handle Lothor. Keep the civilians safe." Shane said.
"Right." Flash said before they left.
"Keep them safe? What about this Earth's precious monuments?" Lothor asked before pressing a button and the Statue of Liberty blew up completely.
"NO!" Tori yelled.
"Oh I'm sorry. Did I do that?" Lothor mocked.
In Washington
Master Org, Overload, Plasmus, Cinderblock and Brother Blood led the attack on Washington.
"Ah. The sweet sounds of terror." Master Org said before he blasted the Washington monument with his scepter making it blow up.
Suddenly the Wild Force Rangers appeared from a portal.
"This is as far as you go." Cole said.
"Don't make me laugh! You can't possible defeat all of us." Master Org said before Super Girl, Power Girl, Death Stroke, Blade and Shendu arrived from another portal.
"I believe we can now." Shendu said before breathing fire at them.
Star City
Oliver quickly dodged a barrage of bullets from a few Regime soldiers.
"Talbot we need some back up here!" Dig yelled firing his gun at them.
"Hang On I've got some for ya." Talbot said as a portal opened up. Appearing was Citizen Steel, Atom, Russo, White Canary and Loki.
"You think these losers scare us?" Goldar asked before GA fired an explosive arrow at him making him cry out in pain.
"Does that answer your question?" Sara asked before they began to fight.
Centeral City
Fire Storm and Elongated Man fought against Mirror Master, Weather Wizard (Flash version not JLU version) and Black Manta.
"Man these guys just don't know when to quit." First Storm said blasting Black Manta back only for him to do the same to him.
"Wait something isn't right." Iris said at STAR labs.
"What do you mean?" Caitlin asked.
"This all seems random. I know the Regime is still recovering since the war but this Vilgax guy seems like someone who would be well organized." Iris said.
"He is. Even before the Legion he was the third most dangerous being in our universe now he's the second since Darkseid was killed years ago." Wells said.
"So whats the point of all this? Last time we saw the Regime they tried to bust out dangerous prisoners. What are they trying to do now? Destroying things hardly has any point to it." Iris said before Wells widened his eyes.
"It's a distraction." Wells said. "Barry! Listen to me you have got to get to the Legions primary lab now! Vilgax is after the device that can track him!" Wells said.
"I'm on it." Barry said rushing to the lab.
Meanwhile
Vilgax stood over the downed scientist at the main lab for the Legion before holding the device that would track him.
"Better luck next time." Vilgax said crushing it just as the Flash arrived.
"NO!" Flash yelled.
"Until we meet again." Vilgax said opening a portal and vanished.
Meanwhile
Sean growled as he and Olympius fought one another while Grundy held his head as more flashed appeared in his head till his eyes Widened.
"G-G-G-Grundy remembers." Grundy said before seeing Hawkgirl under Cade Bane as he was about to blast her head off. "GET AWAY FROM BIRD NOSE!" Grundy yelled charging at him.
"WHAT!" Bane yelled as he was punched into a building.
"Grundy?" Sheyera said.
"Grundy remembers everything." Grundy said making her smile.
Sean roared before he breathed fire at Olymius who yelled in pain.
"Our objective has been completed. Return back to base." Vilgax said on the comms.
"We'll finish this later Kruger." Olympius said before they vanished.
"We failed." Aqua man said.
Later
"The whole fucking thing was a major distraction. Somehow they knew about the device. They wanted to delay a little longer." Sean said.
"Why?" Sheyera asked.
"While you were gone they've been gathering new allies and resources. Took the Original Zilla's dead body. Raided the storage area of those Omnicorp robots and then started taking Cyber crystals. They needed to delay us for a while longer." Sean said.
"And it's gonna take a week to repair this thing." Wells said slamming the device down.
"We don't have a week. This was an act of desperation. We need to know where they are now!" Lane said.
"Uh guys?" Roy said on the comms.
"What is it?" Sean asked.
"We have a prisoner who says he knows where the Regime is." Roy said.
"Who?" Sean asked.
"Thats the more difficult part...Your not gonna believe who it is." Roy said making him raise an eyebrow before leaving the room
Heading to the command center.
"Ok who's our mystery prisoner?" Sean asked before said person turned around and Sean narrowed his eyes.
"Long time no see."
"Malcome Merlin." Sean said seeing Thea's father and a former member of the League of assassins. "You've got some fucking nerve coming here." Sean said.
"He actually turned himself in willingly." Dig said.
"For good reason." Malcom said.
"What do you want?" Sean asked.
"A trade. I know where the Regime is. I destroyed one of those battle droids and took the memory chip before it could destroy itself." Malcom said.
"And...In exchange?" Oliver asked.
"A full pardon." Malcom said bluntly.
"What?" Sara said skeptical. "You are wanted for killing over 500 innocent people including your own son and me. You really think we're just gonna give you a full pardon?" Sara asked.
"Naturally? Yes. You guys have been searching for three months on their location in what universe. I know where they are. But I wont give that chip away unless I get a full pardon." Malcom said.
"Get him out of here." Nyssa said getting Russo and Frank to drag him away.
"The longer you wait the more innocent people suffer." Malcom said.
"Sean. We cannot give him a pardon. We can find it once the device is ready." Oliver said.
"I'm not giving him a full pardon. The difference between him and those like Revy, Russo And Killmonger is the majority of people they killed were just as bad. He's a hundred times worse." Sean said.
"But we need to find the Regime and you heard what he said. Innocent people are suffering the longer we wait." Barry said.
"We just need to wait a little bit longer. Jessie and I can fix the device in a couple days at best if we push ourselves." Wells said.
"No." Sean said making everyone look at him. "We can't afford to wait that long. I can't give him a full pardon...But I can do something else." Sean said.
"What?" Oliver asked.
Malcom waited patently in the interrogation room before Sean walked in with a piece data pad.
"So you finally agreed to my terms?" Malcom asked.
"No...Unlike the others who've been granted a full pardon your crimes are more severe. The Council will never agree to give you a full pardon...But there is something we can give you that is similar." Sean said.
"Oh? And whats that?" Malcom asked before Sean handed him the data pad.
"Probationary period. It states you will work with the Legion for five to ten years of service. You survive that long and you will be given a partial pardon provided you can behave and follow orders." Sean said.
"Partial Pardon?" Malcom asked.
"It means your crimes will still be in the records. The charges will be dropped but they'll still be there. Plus I think this also benefits you to get closer to Thea. She's taken my advice when we were at the Xenomorph temple in 2020. I know you care about her and want to make amends. Do this and it will be a start." Sean said making him frown before looking at the pad again before sighing before he took a pen and signed it.
"I guess its better then nothing." Malcom said before he opened his vest and pulled out the chip.
"Now you said you know where they are. Where are they exactly?" Sean asked making him chuckle. "What?"
"Um...Uh how do I put this? You know what just plug it in and you'll see." Malcom said making him raise an eyebrow.
The others waited patiently before Sean and Malcom walked out.
"So you agreed?" Thea asked.
"I did. Plus I realize I need some amends for the horrible things I've done not only to you but to Tommy. I need to prove I can be a good man." Malcom said making her smile slightly. After their talk Thea realized every bad thing that happened Because of Malcom was because of one thing. She would give him one last chance.
"Ok lets see where our mystery universe is." Sean said plugging the chip into the super Computer before the data showed and everyone widened their eyes.
"Oh god my absolute worst nightmare." Lane said.
"You are fucking kidding me." Sean said looking at Malcom.
"Nope. All true. And trust me I was just as skeptical." Malcom said.

"Welcome to the Terminator Universe." Cisco said.
Authors Note: THATS RIGHT! The Universe thats is a hundred times worse than Earth X and where the Regime is currently at is the TERMINATOR UNIVERSE! I realized I completely forgot about this series till I just recently bought the whole fucking serious and I'm like "Oh fuck why did I not think of this!" So next Chapter TERMINATOR! And you'll all finally see what the hell they've been up to this whole time. What the hell is Frax up to? Why did he need the Original Zilla's dead body? Why does he need the crystals? And more importantly. Is the resistance in this chapter? You'll all find out. Yes Grundy is back and now will be in the Legion once Sean gives him some help to make sure no one takes advantage of him anymore. Malcome is here and has to work for the Legion for his crimes to be forgiven. It's always difficult to tell which sides he's on you know? One minute he's a bad guy then a good guy then back to bad and then good one more. He's somewhere in between. Now Next Chapter will also contain the full list of those in the Legion.
