Chapter 127 End of the line
Its been a couple weeks since The second Dino Crisis incident and since the timeline was reset. Good news was with the timeline reset and with the exact time and location found the Time Bureau was able to go back to Pangea 3 millions into the past to the exact moment when the town was sent to the past and since the timeline was reset the dinosaurs weren't there this time.
Adding to now both the Legion and Thanos had a cease fire agreement and agreed to work together to destroy the Regime.
And Cadmus right now was keeping a very close eye on on Hager since Waller was not happy about him constantly going behind her back just to get to Sean.
Currently Sean was with the Military council.
"I'm still not ok with this alliance between us and Thanos." Lane said rubbing his temples.
"I didn't have a choice. The timeline Junior explained to me was devastating. This prevents that and hopefully buys us more than enough time." Sean said.
"We've made deals with the enemy on more than one occasion in the army this is no different." Tom said.
"That is a huge difference between this and that." Ross said.
"Same principles different people." Packard said.
"Whatever. Point is we need all the time we can get. That war between the two of us will happen theres no preventing that. Its just when that's unknown to us." Sean said.
Suddenly they got an alert.
"Ah hell. Now what?" Lane asked before a transmission of Anatoly appeared.
"Kruger, been a long time my friend." Anatoly said.
"Anatoly? We haven't heard from you in some time." Sean said.
"Been busy tracking down Reznov's ordered target which we finally captured." Anatoly said.
"Target?" Sean asked.
"What target? We didn't set out any target orders did we?" Talbot asked.
"Not that I know of." Lane said bringing up the files.
"He put this one in himself. Must admit I was skeptical he would ask me to capture her of all people." Anatoly said.
"Her?" Tom asked before Sean narrowed his eyes and sigh.
"Oh no. Anatoly please tell me it's not who I think it is?" Sean asked.
Minutes later
Sitting in the interrogation room was a woman in her early 50's with long blonde hair white skin with a large numbers of scars on her body and face.
Sean and Revy walked in.
"Yup thats her. Balalaika." Sean said narrowing his eyes on her which Revy noticed. (From Black Lagoon)
"What the matter with you? I didn't think you had a bone to pick with her." Revy said.
"Do you remember when I had a hit on my head shortly after the Legion was formed?" Sean asked.
"Yeah...Wait a minute? You mean she put that hit on you? I thought it was that fat slob called Jabba." Revy said.
"He was one of them but she put it on me first. When that failed she tried to target my kids and put her Sargent on that mission. She didn't know about the Idominus though so they got slaughtered big time. I'm surprised you didn't know." Sean said.
"No one said anything." Revy said.
"You two have history don't you?" Sean asked.
"We did...Till she sold us out to that bitch who turned George and the others into oversized animals. She gave us up for money so as far as I'm concerned she's dead to me...And I hope your gonna do it." Revy said glaring at her from behind the glass.
"Oh Nothing would please me more then to see her dead. But...I'm not the one who ordered her captured since I had bigger and more important things to do than to go after some Mob boss who's empire crumbled apart. Reznov was the one who ordered her captured...Though I can't blame him since these two have history." Sean said opening the door.
"Took you long enough." Balalaika said impatient.
"You honestly expect me to give you my full attention? After the crap you pulled." Sean said sitting down.
"I was under the impression you couldn't resist a woman's charm...I'm waiting." Balalaika said.
"For what?" Sean asked.
"My full Pardon. You seem to give them to almost everyone these days. You gave one to Revy after all." Balalaika said.
"Lets get something straight. I can forgive Revy's crimes cause they are nowhere near as bad as yours. Second of all unlike most I look into every detail of what happened to them before hand that led people like her down that path. I gave her a second chance and she has done everything in her power right her wrongs." Sean said. (Buddy I don't want to hear one word about her I mean it)
"Oh I'm so sure. Know what I honestly think. I think you can forgive certain people but refuse others even if the circumstances are the same simply because you just don't like them." Balalaika said.
"I don't give a shit what you think. I especially don't give a damn from a woman who targeted my own kids just to get to me. Your empire is gone. Your little pawns are dead or captured. You have nothing left." Sean said.
Revy watched from the other side of the screen before Reznov walked in.
"Hey whats going on?" Reznov asked before he turned and widened his eyes seeing Balalaika.
"Mind explaining what your grudge against her is?" Revy asked before he walked in.
"Well, well, well. I was wondering when you'd show up." Balalaika said before Sean stood up to leave.
"Don't do anything stupid." Sean said leaving before Reznov sat down.
"So whats the history between these two? I know that look more than anyone. Same look I had when I wanted revenge against that bitch Clair." Revy said.
"Um." Sean tried to say but.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Balalaika asked Reznov who just looked at her.
"Not really sure what to say...Mom." Reznov said.
Revy widened her eyes at that.
"Yeah. Balalaika is his mother. Believe it or not but even the worst people can have kids who turn into good people." Sean said. (My good buddy Reaper gave me this idea months ago. Originally I was against it but then I saw some ideas that could come with it)
"Yeah I can believe that. But...Why does he hate her so much?" Revy asked.
"I haven't seen you in 22 years ever since you ran away like that." Balalaika said.
"The hell did you expect me to do? Just stay with the woman who killed my dad right in front of me? You didn't even bother to look for me. Proves you didn't even remotely care." Reznov said.
"Oh I did. I looked all over for you. But you knew how to hide. Your father also had friends who could keep you out of my sights. I looked for 10 years till I learned where you were and what you turned yourself into. I decided to just let you be. Never would have thought you would try to capture me." Balalaika said.
"Well...I'll tell you this. You are gonna rot while the rest of the world moves on. You won't take advantage of anyone ever again. You will not corrupt the new world with your ideals. The world is better off without you." Reznov said standing up to leave.
"Can I at least see my grandson? Don't I at least deserve to see my only grandchild?"Balalaika asked.
"No." Reznov said closing the door before walking out the room.
"Thats why. She killed his father her husband right in front of her son 22 years ago when he was 5. He's hated her ever since." Sean said.
"So where is she going?" Revy asked as the guards took her away.
"The island. Most of the worst of the worst are on that prison island both from Earth and other planets. Grodd got lucky when he freed the others 2 and a half years ago. We've tripled the security since then." Sean said.
"And you're putting her there? I'm not so sure thats a good idea. She could..." Revy tried to say.
"What? Convince the others to rebel? They're all locked cells and never get out. How the hell is she gonna start a revolt if she can't leave her cell?" Sean asked.
"Ok good point. By the way what happened to Hager? No one said what you did but its clear you scared him shitless." Revy asked grinning.
"Tore his fucking arms off. Since demotion doesn't seem to get to him losing body parts will have to do." Sean said making her snicker.
Later
Sean entered the new HEAT headquarters that was recently rebuilt after the attack Vilgax ordered 3 months ago.
"Wheres Nick?" Sean asked not seeing him.
"On a love cruise with your least favorite reporter." Elsie said.
"Audrey and I are on better terms since the whole thing was cleared up." Sean said sitting down.
"So one of your best friends is the son of one of the famous former Mafia bosses?" Randy asked making him widen his eyes.
"How'd you...?" Sean tried to ask before Randy pointed to Craven who chuckled sheepishly. "I hate you guys." Sean said.
"I'm honestly surprised. Reznov, never looked like one of those Mob bosses kids." Elsie said.
"Does Oliver act like his old self since the Gambit got capsized?" Sean asked.
"Point made." Elsie said.
"They haven't seen each other since She killed her husband 22 years ago. Hell Reznov never even talks about either of them for good reasons. I guess I shouldn't be surprised he'd put in her capture order and do it without telling us." Sean said.
"Isn't that not against protocol?" Monique asked sitting next to him.
"Not really. Just so long as the order is justified like hers." Sean said.
"Motion Detected." NIGEL said showing video surveillance of Zilla in his lair before jumping into the water and bolted.
"Where the hell is he going? The breaches haven't opened." Sean said.
Later
The HEAT seeker was moving up the Alaskan Boarder following Zilla.
"Where the hell is he going?" Sean asked.
"Hey look at this." Randy said showing some sound pattern coming from around the area.
"That is not from Zilla but I'm confident thats what's drawing him here." Sean said.
"Why?" Craven asked.
"I don't know." Sean said.
Soon enough it was day time and they found an island before Sean got to the top of the mountains seeing lush greens and rivers.
"Well, this is an interesting sight." Sean said.
"Shouldn't it be freezing cold?" Monique asked.
"Not if the Volcano is generating enough heat to sustain the island." Sean said before they spotted Nick and Audrey. "What?" Sean asked before approaching them.
Nick and Audrey were about to kiss when.
"Are we interrupting something here?" Sean asked amused with the group next to him.
"Sean?" Nick said before approaching him
"What the fuck are you doing here?" Sean asked.
"Our cruise ship was attacked by a giant turtle." Nick said.
"Didn't expect to hear that one." Randy said.
"How'd you guys find us?" Nick asked.
"Don't look at us. We were playing follow the lizard leader." Sean said pointing to Zilla before he spotted what looked like a Komodo like Monster before approaching it.
"What is that?" Sean asked.
"That is another Mutation who has similar abilities as Zilla." Nick said.
The Komodo saw Zilla and roared.
"All right lizard fight!" Randy said before they started circling each other.
"That ain't fighting. That is dancing lizard style." Sean said grinning.
"A matting dance?" Elsie asked.
"Zilla is dating?" Craven asked before Zilla roared at them.
"Ok we'll give you some privacy bud don't yell at us." Sean said as they left.
Later
"What was that? He's never chased us off." Randy said at a loss for words.
"Clearly these two have a bond which isn't really that uncommon. Some animals of different species have the same thing. Kinda like how Godzilla and Ghidorah worked in perfect union when Frax invaded Japan not to long ago." Sean said.
"He's got a point. But what do we do about that turtle?" Nick asked.
"Kill it." Sean said bluntly which surprised everyone but Monique. "We have protocols for things like this. If any Mutation or Titan shows hostility and shows no signs of wanting to coexist with humanity or other species it must be put down like we did the two MUTO's and the MUTO prime." Sean said. (Recently read the new comic on Godzilla and it actually makes sense and the Kong Skull island comic which shows Kong's origins)
"I agree." Monique said before a military boat drove up to them before they went outside.
"Who the hell are you?" Sean asked before a ladder was put down for them.
"Captain Rogue Morgue. We tracked an unsual signal coming from this island. We believe it was what attacked a cruise ship last night." The Captain said. (Not really sure if thats his real name since Theres nothing on him)
"Right location wrong mutation though." Sean said.
Leading him inside they gave him the run down of the situation.
"So your telling me that there are two giant lizards and a Mutant turtle on this island." The Captain asked
"Oh yeah. All the giant Reptiles vacation here." Elsie said.
"Look Zilla and this Komodo are not the enemy that Turtle is. Protocol is we eliminate only mutations or Titans that show no interest in coexistence." Sean said.
"So you suggest we just let them settle down and raise a family. Your just like General Hager described completely insane." The Captain said.
"Oh so you take orders from that asshole?" Sean asked.
"He's a good man who's right about everything...Including you." The Captain said.
"You are really starting to piss me off. Hager is murdering bastard who would sooner toss you aside if it meant saving his own ass." Sean said.
"Look all our tests indicate Zilla is incapable of reproducing unless with another of his own kind and the odds of him doing so with this Komodo are next to impossible." Nick said.
"Sir. You need to have a look at this." Another soldier said handing him a file that he quickly looked over.
"It would seem your tests were wrong." The captain said showing him photos.
"That looks like a nest." Elsie said before looking at the next photo.
"And an egg." Monique said.
"The Female most be able to fertilize her own eggs. Zilla is acting as a surrogate father since they share a large number of similarities." Sean said.
"Lieutenant prepare a strike force." The captain said.
"Now wait just a damn minute. Every Mutation or Titan is under the protection of the Legion. Meaning you have no jurisdiction here." Sean said.
"Oh but I do. I don't take orders from your pathetic Legion. And this world belongs to humans not aliens or monsters. And I will kill all three of those things." The Captain said leaving.
"Son of a bitch." Sean said.
Later
The Captain grinned as he neared the nest. HEAT had drawn Zilla away while Sean dealt with the Choppers.
"Fire on my command." The Captain said before one of the choppers blew up.
"Captain." Sean said flying right in front of them.
"Get out of the way Kruger! I have authority to destroy these beasts!" The Captain said.
"No you don't. As I said all monsters are under the protection..." Sean tried to say before the captain tried to shot him down. "YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!" Sean yelled trying to blast them.
As this was going on HEAT was monitoring NIGEL who was luring Zilla away.
"Uh I think Zilla just found out he's been played." Audrey said as Zilla ate NIGEL.
"Oooh! I should just order spare parts in advance!" Craven groaned out.
Sean continued to fight the Choppers making sure to avoid the Komodo who stood by her egg protectively.
However suddenly the Giant turtle Nick told them about came up and bit her leg making her screech in pain before falling down and it took the egg.
"SON OF A BITCH!" Sean yelled going after it and the Captain followed.
The Giant turtle emerged from the Ice before placing the egg down about crack it open before Sean's chain wrapped around the neck before being flipped on its back.
Sean landed before pulling on the chain wrapped around the neck while the Turtle roared in pain before.
"Sorry buddy. But since you won't play nice!" Sean yelled.
SNAP!
Sean snapped the turtle's neck killing it instantly.
Sighing Sean approached the egg before it started to hatch just as the Komodo and Zilla arrived.
The egg broke apart before the baby Komodo came out squealing before it saw Sean and approached him and licked his face making him laugh.
"Ha." Sean said before the Komodo nuzzled her hatchling who purred before Zilla did the same.
The captain saw this and scoffed in disgust.
"Filthy beasts!" The captain yelled firing a missile at the hatchling which Sean noticed.
"NO!" Sean yelled taking the hit before flying into the mother who roared at the Captain.
"Attack helicopter! Disengage and return to base!"
The Captain turned and saw the appointed Military leader of Monarch known as Major Hicks who was appointed by the Legion since it was formed.
"But Major Hicks..." The Captain tried to say.
"Don't push your luck son! Your in deep trouble as it is! Stand down at once!" Hicks yelled.
"Uh yes sir." The Captain said leaving.
Later
Sean woke up with a groan before seeing he was on the watch tower med lab.
"Ugh." Sean said holding his head.
"Easy son." Lane said helping him up.
"What happened?" Sean asked.
"You took a missile to the chest protecting a future asset. I call that major loyalty to those you protect." Lane said.
"Yeah well I had to. What about the Captain?" Sean asked.
"He has been dishonorably discharged from the military for disobeying directives. But we got bigger problems to deal with." Lane said showing video surveillance of a large number of Major players in the Legion being captured by the Dark Rider and his associates.
"The hell?" Sean asked.
"He goes from killing random civilians to capturing some of our best and thats not all." Lane said showing video surveillance of the Prison Island being taken over by the Dark Rider.
"This makes no sense. What is he up to?" Sean asked.
"The island is on full lockdown. And whats worse is we've detected Regime portals being used on the island. Clearly our New Dark Rider has made a deal with Vilgax." Lane said.
Meanwhile
"I must say you performed perfectly." Vilgax said as every prisoner was being escorted through the portal to his fleet.
"I kept my end of the Bargain. Now I expect you to uphold yours." The Dark Rider said with the same Face mask Freddy once had on his face.
"Of course." Vilgax said before a large bomb was was placed down in front of them. "You still do have the potential to join us." Vilgax said.
"Thanks but no thanks. This is personal. And besides I doubt we'll be seeing each other again." The Dark Rider said.
"A pity." Vilgax said before he vanished.
A large number of the Legion were in cells before a woman known as Evelyn Sharp approached Oliver's cell.
"Evelyn?" Oliver said in surprise that she was still alive.
"How the hell are you still alive?" Rene asked.
"None of your business really. You all left me for dead and I almost did die. But unlike before this time all you fake heroes are gonna die." Evylin said before the Dark Rider approached her and placed her hands on her shoulders.
"Oh they all will." The Dark Rider said.
"Who the hell are you anyway?" Hotsteak asked.
"I suppose I should introduce myself."
The Dark Rider took off the face mask before it was revealed that he was actually a she. A woman with white skin back length blonde hair and blue eyes.
"A girl? I'll be honest I was not expecting that." Wally said surprised.
"Who the hell are you?" Killmonger asked.
"My name is Ashly Smith. You can call me the student of the Dark Rider." Ashly said.
"Funny he never once mentioned you before." Curtis said.
"I can think of a million reasons why." Dig said.
"Hmph. I am going to enjoy seeing you morons burn in hell." Evelyn said.
"Not just yet."
Everyone turned and saw Ra Al Ghul with his League of Assassins.
"Ra? What the hell?" Sara said.
"Who do you think supplied me with the locations of those Bennett didn't know when I drained his memories? Do you all truly believe that he was one of you so called heroes? No...for the last 12 years he's had one goal." Ashly said.
"And what is that?" Nightwing asked.
"Simple. My objective was to earn Kruger's trust...So that I would steal his body from him. Then I would rule the world with such power. But then he continued to gain more and more power...I let him continue his work till there was nothing left to control...Of course I did have one issue. Like most people I had an enemy in the States...An enemy who would warn him of my intentions if I came to the country to face him. Turok's family the stone tribe." Ra said shocking them.
"You? You were the one who told Senator Kelly about the town making him think they were Mutants. Made Kane kill them in cold blood since they weren't prepared to deal with people from the country they served." Batman said.
"Very true Detective. After that I slowly began to earn his trust by providing him information on targets he was after. Of course then I learned one member of the tribe had somehow survived. I had to keep my distance for a time incase like his predecessors he knew of my intentions. Fortunately he knew nothing. I was in the middle of planning my take over when the Regime started the war. A large number of my men were lost so I had to hold back on my plans for a time. Then the universal power loss occurred and I couldn't do it then. I grew tired of waiting. Then Ashly offered me a deal. Help her take out the Legions major players and she would grant me my rise to power." Ra said grinning.
"Thats never going to happen." Batman said.
"Oh but I think it will." Ashly said.
Meanwhile
"ARGH!" Sean yelled throwing Freddy's journals away.
"Hey." Ralph said walking in.
"What is it? I'm in no mood for jokes." Sean said.
"You need to see this." Ralph said.
Soon what was left of the major players were in the briefing room.
"So whats up?" Gat asked.
"I finally the connection between the new Dark Rider's victims." Ralph said showing every photo.
"Oh yeah? What did they all have in common?" Agent Coulson asked.
"Not what. Who they all had in common." Ralph said showing Freddy's photo. "They were all connected to Freddy. They were all lawyers and Bankers. Clearly our new Dark Rider was looking for something or he was trying to silence them about something private." Ralph said.
"What could they know that he'd want to keep them quiet?" Eiling asked before Sean tossed one of Freddy's journals before it landed next to Hak Foo before he spotted something in the center.
"Hmm?" Hak Foo asked before pulling it out revealing it to be a small flash drive.
"The hell?" Roy asked.
"Well, hidden." Hak Foo said before tossing it to Sean who placed it in his wrest computer.
"Lets see here." Sean said before looking through the memory. "Oh." Sean said.
"What is it?" Liu Kang asked.
"Freddy knows who our new Dark Rider is. He is actually a she." Sean said pulling her photo out. "Ashly Smith." Sean said.
"Never heard of her." Azula said.
"No you wouldn't. She went from small time crime to big time villain after he died due to his illness. Hates everything good especially heroes." Sean said.
"Great so we get another person who hates good." Agent Daisy or Quake said. (Agents of shield version)
"Hmm. Theres not much information on her but Freddy when he was alive kept tabs on her. Apparently she tried on multiple occasions to join the Regime." Sean said.
"So why didn't he let her?" Lane asked.
"I'm not sure. In the meantime we need to mount up a rescue mission. Ashly is impatient from what the file tells." Sean said getting everyone to leave. Sean quickly grabbed those from the military council. "Listen theres something I didn't tell the others. Theres a reason Freddy didn't let her join because he fucking hates her." Sean said.
"Why?" Lane asked before he showed them the data. "Oh...Well that explains everything." Lane said rubbing his head.
"Listen we're out gunned and out matched. I need you to go pick up some people who owe us favors." Sean said.
"I'll get right on it." Ross said.
"This is going to be intense son. Maybe we should call in Thanos since we're on good terms right now." Lane said.
"No. Our alliance involves the Regime not this. Besides its not that serious just yet. If the first plan fails then yes we will." Sean said.
Wakanda
Sean went to one of the chambers before inputting his code before on of the chambers opened up revealing Bucky Barnes before he slowly opened his eyes.
"Welcome back." Sean said before placing a device on his head before it glowed for a few second then stopped before Sean took it off.
"Is it all out?" Bucky asked.
"Yup. I need your help. A lot of things have changed while you were out for 3 years." Sean said before placing a new Metal arm made of Vibranium in front of him.
"What do you need?" Bucky asked.
On the island
One of Ashly's guards stood over one cell on the farthest part of the prison before he was knocked out by Kim Possible before She and Sean jumped down in front of the cell.
"You sure you want to do this? I know you and this guy had good history before he went nuts." Kim said in concern.
"We need all the help we can get." Sean said before opening the cell.
Walking inside Sean sighed before dropping a bag.
"I need your help." Sean said before the person a man known as John Garrett chuckled.
"Hey Kid...Been a long time." Garrett said. (From Agents of SHIELD)
Authors Note: Next chapter is going to be full action, Drama and Suspense. Be prepared. Also to my most Loyal Guest Reviewer dude you are killing me. Please stop leaving negative comments about the characters you don't like. I mean I do a large number of the things you ask me to do and add all I ask for is for you to please lay off these characters since it's really getting annoying. Why do I put up with them you ask? They aren't real! If we're talking about real criminals I wouldn't bother with them but these people are not real so it shouldn't matter. Now onto your other questions. What happened to Travis I'm not gonna say since thats a surprise. Have all the stones minus the Soul stone been found yes. Space, Mind, Power, Time and Reality are under Legion protection. Ebon is from Static Shock. The Dinosaurs from Dino Crisis two were described that way in the game I'm pretty sure those facts are not true. And also you recall how you loved Spyro right?
