Chapter 132 The Balance
Superman stood on the grass of a field on an unknown planet.
With him was Sean, The Didact and Supergirl and Power Girl.
"This planet it feels familiar." Superman said making Sean chuckle.
"Well duh. I find it Ironic that you don't your recognize your home planet." Sean said making him widen his eyes.
"You mean..." Superman tried to say.
"Welcome back to Krypton." Sean said looking at the grass fields of the reborn planet.
"It took some time but now we have brought back the planet." The Didact said making Superman fall to his knees making Sean chuckle.
"Yeah its a lot to take in. But its gonna take some time to bring back the people." Sean said.
"Why?" Superman asked.
"Kryptonian DNA is...Complex. It's gonna take a couple more years before we can begin to clone the people back." Sean said.
"If only Uncle Jor-El could see this. He would have been happy." Supergirl said.
"Yeah...He would." Superman said.
Later
"And your sure thats how you got your powers?" Lane asked Adrian.
"Yes. Trust me it's not something you so easily forget." Adrian said annoyed.
"Sam what are you doing?" Woods asked walking in.
"Just making sure I have the story right. If he's gonna be part of the Legion at his age we need to know all the facts so the public doesn't get the wrong idea." Lane said.
"Oh I get it." Woods said.
"So how are Mason and the others handling their recommission back into the army?" Lane asked.
"Good. Ready to get back into the field." Woods said.
"I'm out." Adrian said leaving just as Garrett walked in.
"Any signs of our missing armor?" Lane asked.
"No. I don't know what Waller is up to but my guess is she wants the armor for something." Garrett said.
Later
Wonder Woman was walking down the halls when she heard screaming. Looking at a small crowd around the medical wing she flew down and saw Etrigan being contained by J'onn and some of the others.
"The gates of Tartarus wing both ways! The Balance tips towards Chaos." Etrigan said before being strapped down. "Usurper! Fiend!" Etrigan yelled. (Don't forget Jason Blood is dead since the Dark Chapter)
J'onn floated up to the others before phasing through the glass.
"Whats happening?" Wonder Woman asked.
"I don't know. All of a sudden all our magic members...Well, see for yourself." J'onn said showing the others. Doctor Fate, Doctor Strang, Wong, Constantine, Tala, Wuya, Zatana and Sean and the other Ghost Riders.
"They're in Agony. What can we do?" Wonder Woman asked in concern.
"I don't know. I'm researching. As soon as I learn something I'll let you know." J'onn said.
Walking to her room Diana opened her door when she spotted someone eating her fruits.
"Quicksilver so help me if thats you again!" Wonder Woman said annoyed.
"No, No, It's the original speedster."
Diana quickly turned on a light revealing to be Hermes the messenger of the gods of Olympus.
"Hey, Diana, I let myself in." Hermes said.
"Hermes. How may I serve the messenger of the gods?" Diana asked.
"Don't be so formal, Diana. You and Sean are practically family. Not that this is a social visit. I've got something for you here. It's pretty important." Hermes said searching through his bag. "Zeus paid for overnight service. Here it is." Hermes said handing her a scroll before she began to read it.
"For a good time call Podenimus." Diana said raising an eyebrow.
"Whoops!" Hermes said snatching it away. "Wrong scroll. I think I got a shot. It's her cell number." Hermes said making her roll her eyes in amusement. "Here it is. By Decree of Zeus, Father of Olympus It is so ordered Diana of Themyscira will travel to Tartarus and set right that which has been disturbed." Hermes read.
"Tartarus? Why?" Diana asked.
"Felix Faust is on the loose again." Hermes said.
"I thought he was dead." Diana said frowning from the first and last time she saw him.
"Yeah Sean shot him with a pistol. Hate to say it but weapons of science don't have much effect on people with magic. Even with him being an amateur he still took precautions. Sean and his magic group encountered him a second time during that time when Destiny came back. Did he not tell you that?" Hermes asked surprised.
"I can think of a few reasons why. Sore subject after what he tried to pull on my home." Diana said knowing how her husband works.
"Good. Anyway Faust acquired the armor that was stolen here 2 weeks ago. Although for some reason he merged his soul with the armor and headed straight for the gates of Tartarus." Hermes said.
"My sisters would have..." Diana tried to say.
"They tried but you know what that armor is capable of. He went through the gates and threw Hades off his throne. Not sure why though since Sean was the one who screwed him over the first time." Hermes said.
"I was there remember?" Diana said.
"And you'll have to be there again. You must defeat Faust and restore Hades to the throne of Tartarus." Hermes said.
"So far as I'm concerned they deserve each other since obviously Hades was the one who sent Faust in the first place." Diana said.
"True but this is more than just about obeying the will of the gods. You've seen whats happened to the magic users right?" Hermes asked.
"Thats what this is about? How does Hades getting thrown out of his throne have that much of an effect?"
"Well, simple. There must always be balance between order and Chaos. Light and Darkness." Hermes said.
"Hold on. I just passed Adrian who's the Rainbow Rider and he's perfectly fine. And Sean doesn't even use magic that much." Diana said.
"Adrian is a...Special case. When the first generation created that bloodline the Gods put in some additional upgrades thinking of any possible situation at that time like now. We're even the ones who awakened his powers since the Legion needs every edge it can get. And even though Sean doesn't use Magic that much his power as a Ghost Rider comes from Magic just like the rest of the Riders." Hermes said.
"Fine I'll do what I have to." Diana said before he vanished.
Knowing she was gonna need an edge she went to Hawkgirls room before using her security access to open it.
Walking inside she looked around till she found her mace and grabbed it.
"I know we're not on good terms still but this is low even for you." Shayera said.
"Um. I need this real quick. I'll bring it back." Diana said.
"Whats going on?" Shayera asked making her sigh.
"There's trouble on Themyscira. Mystical trouble and if I recall correctly your mace disrupts magic." Diana said.
"This have something to do with Sean and the others in the infirmary?" Shayera asked.
"Faust is on the loose again. He invaded my home and went straight for Tartarus and then threw Hades off his throne for some reason. So can I have it?" Diana asked.
"Uh uh. It's a package deal. You want the mace, you get me too." Shayere said.
Later
On the invisible plane Diana flew right to her home with Hawkgirl.
"You're doing this because you want to prove yourself to me, aren't you? You don't have to. Your a soldier you follow orders like Sean did. I forgave you a long time ago." Wonder Woman said.
"Did I ever ask you for your forgiveness." Hawkgirl asked.
The amazons were at the gates of Tartarus fending off a large number of Demons.
"Drive them back sisters." Hippolyta said before one got out and flew towards her but Diana flew in and punched it back in. "Diana? What are you doing here?"
"The gods have asked me to solve this. Apparently having Hades thrown off the throne has some negative consequences." Diana said about to go in but her mother stopped her.
"Wait, if you are to attempt such a feat you must have access to your full power." Hippolyta said before touching the armor making it glow for a second. "When the time comes you'll know when to use it."
Diana and Hawkgirl flew into the gate just as the Amazons closed it.
As they were flying they ran into some demons before they began to fight.
However as one of them grabbed Hawkgirl's wings he gasped in fright before they backed off.
"Uh what are they..?" Hawkgirl tried to say till she saw her wings and grinned. "Thats right, I'm an Angel. You can mess with me if you want to but I don't think you want to mess with the boss." Hawkgirl said making them fly away in fear. "If we're lucky they'll all be that dumb." Hawkgirl said.
However looking down below they saw some smaller demons fighting over some left over meat before Hawkgirl went and grabbed one. She then dropped him in front of Diana making him cower.
"Where's Faust?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Let me think. Oh, yeah, He's over there. No, wait, he's over there. No, There."
"One more answer and it better be the right one." Hawkgirl said with her mace over her head.
"Or what? You'll kill me? Gosh, I might end up suffering eternal torment as punishment for my sins. Oh, wait, I ALREADY AM!"
Diana saw her lasso glow and wrapped it around him.
"Let me try. Tell me your name." Wonder Woman said.
"Abnaguzar." Abnaguzar said.
"Tell me where to find Faust." Wonder Woman said.
"In Hades's Library." Abnaguzer said.
"Lead us there." Diana said before they flew towards the Library.
"How did you do that?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Magic Lasso. Who knew?" Wonder Woman said.
"If you don't want to tell me, Fine." Hawkgirl said making her smile before they landed. Wonder Woman was about to take off the lasso.
"Wait. Is there anything else we should know?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Yeah, you really, really shouldn't go in there. Now, could you please take this rope off of me? I'm a demon. The Truth hurts."
Inside Faust was drawing markings on the ground.
"The time is nearly here." Faust said.
"Time for what?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Amazing isn't it? Theres more knowledge here then anywhere else on Earth. And it held the ritual I am preparing for. If I weren't pressed for time I would gladly read all of it. But Lord Vilgax's orders come first." Faust said.
"Vilgax? I thought you worked for Cadmus." Wonder Woman asked.
"More along the lines of keeping an eye on the Legion and seeing if Cadmus could possible help us against the Legion. Once the armor was collected Vilgax contacted me. Hades will eventually have his throne back...Once I'm done with what I need to complete." Faust said.
"We're revoking your library card." Hawkgirl said as they neard him before they were engulfed in a twister of dust and vanished.
"Now where was I?" Faust asked himself continuing his work.
Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl screamed as they landed in snow? (Not sure how that works in this place)
"That went well." Hawkgirl said standing up. "Aren't you cold?" Hawkgirl asked.
"No." Wonder Woman said making her scoff.
"Of course not. The Princess doesn't get cold. The Princess doesn't even sweat in the fire pits of Tartarus." Hawkgirl said.
"I do, too, sweat." Wonder Woman said annoyed.
"Please. You glow. Hell I wouldn't be surprised..." Hawkgirl tried to say before they heard pained screaming making them fly to the source seeing vultures attacking some man before they fended them off and it was revealed to be Hades himself.
"Did Faust send you? Did he decide the Vultures weren't enough?" Hades asked.
"They aren't enough, Monster." Wonder Woman said before breaking his chains freeing him.
"It appears I'm in your debt, my child." Hades said as his armor regenerated.
"Thank the gods. Even here there has to be order." Wonder Woman said.
"Faust doesn't care what happens to this place." Hawkgirl said.
"Yes I know. He's preparing some ritual for something. I don't know what but I do know." Hades said.
"Come on. We're putting you back on the throne." Wonder Woman said.
"Or die trying?"
"Not in the plan." Hawkgirl said before they all vanished.
Faust was in the middle of his work.
"At last it is finally complete. Let the ritual commence." Faust said before the symbol started to glow.
"Oh no you don't!" Hawkgirl yelled rushing in at him before he smacked her away.
"You will NOT get in the way of my ceremony." Faust said before Hades rushed in and punched him away out of the symbol. "NO!" Faust yelled punching him back before Wonder Woman got in his way.
"I know the weakness of the armor. All we have to do is not fight you." Wonder Woman said before he smacked her away.
"I improved that weakness! I don't have time for this!" Faust yelled getting back in the symbol before it glowed brightly.
"What is he doing!" Hawkgirl asked.
"I don't know!" Wonder Woman yelled.
Faust started to chant in some foreign language before Hades tried to get him out but a barrier prevented him from doing so.
"This is ancient magic! Very powerful! I don't know what will happen!" Hades yelled.
"Today I leave my mark on history! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Faust screamed before the entire room was engulfed in light.
Outside the Library the light engulfed everything. The demons were blinded by this. The light escaped the gate blinding the Amazons. Around the planet everyone was blinded by the light The Universe was engulfed in this light.
Minutes later
"Shayera." Wonder Woman said waking her up before pulling her up.
"Your all sweaty." Hawkgirl said making her grin.
"Told you." Wonder Woman said.
"Hmm." Hades said looking for Faust but both he and the Armor were missing. "Odd...I don't sense Faust anymore. Anywhere." Hades said.
"What do you mean you can't sense him?" Wonder Woman asked.
"He's more than likely back in the land of the living. However that Ritual he used...It felt...Strange...Yet Familiar." Hades said.
"We're done here." Wonder Woman said.
"Not going to stay my child?" Hades asked.
"I have other things that need my attention and you are not one of them and don't call me My Child again." Wonder Woman said.
"Your mother never told you did she?" Hades asked approaching her.
"Told me what?" Diana asked.
"Weren't you the least bit curious as to who the identity of your father was?" Hades asked making her widen her eyes.
"I don't have a father. My mother sculpted me from clay." Diana said.
"Your mother and I sculpted you together. When you and Kruger arrived on the island after you were gone I realized Hippolyta must have brought you to life sometime after I was condemned to Tartarus. As a reminder of me, Perhaps." Hades said walking away.
"He's lying, Diana. We can prove it. Use the lasso on him. Make him tell the Truth." Shayera said.
"The real Truth is, It doesn't matter. I know what I need to know. I know who raised me and I know what I was raised to do. And I know how to raise my son." Diana said as they walked away.
"Hopefully your son ends up more like you." Hades said to himself before he found a book on the ground and opened it before widening his eyes and chuckled. "Faust. Clever. But foolish." Hades said.
Later
"How do you feel?" Diana asked Sean.
"Ugh. I feel like shit. What happened?" Sean asked.
"Faust took control of Tartarus but we set things right." Shayera said.
"So you two back on good terms?" Sean asked making them smile. "Good. I would like to see you two working together again like the old days." Sean said walking away.
"Uh one more thing. Faust did something." Shayera said.
"Such as?" Sean asked.
"We're not sure. All we know is whatever he did created a large flash of light. All over the universe for a minute before it stopped. And now Faust is missing." Diana said.
"Hmm. I'll look into it." Sean said.
Meanwhile in Central City
"You seriously don't know what created that big giant Flash of light?" Joe asked.
"No. Diana and Shayera were just as confused as everyone else." Flash said to team Flash.
"Well, theres gotta be something that can help us find out." Caitlin said.
Iris was about to say something when.
"Guys?"
Everyone turned and widened their eyes when they saw someone. Someone who's been dead since 2015.
"Eddie?" Joe said seeing his former Partner Eddie Thawne alive and well.
"Joe." Eddie said before looking at the members of Team Flash including the new ones. "Why are you guys staring at me like that?" Eddie asked.
"How are you alive?" Barry asked in shock.
"What do you mean? And why does everyone look...Older?" Eddie asked before someone else walked in. Someone who's also been dead since 2015.
"Ronnie?" Caitlin said seeing her deceased husband alive.
"Caitlin? What happened?" Ronnie asked looking around.
"What the hell is going on? You two are supposed to be dead." Wally said.
"Uh who are you exactly?" Eddie asked.
"My son. Wally West." Joe said.
"Since when do you have an actual Son?" Ronnie asked before an alert came up.
"What the hell?" Barry asked seeing his old house was broken into. "Iris and I were gonna buy this place. Uh I..." Barry tried to say.
"Go...We'll figure this out later." Iris said before he ran out quickly.
"Am I missing something here?" Eddie asked.
Barry ran to his house before arriving but saw it wasn't busted into since the lock was intact.
Walking inside he saw two people.
"Excuse me this is breaking and..." Barry tried to say till the two turned around making him widen his eyes in shock.
"Barry?"
"Mom? Dad?" Barry said in shock.
"Hey Slugger." Henry said.
"What in the hell is going on today?" Barry asked.
Meanwhile in Star City
"According to the reports the flash of light originated from Diana's home island." Felicity said.
"How?" Oliver asked doing his usual exercise. (What is that called exactly?)
"Diana and Shayera said Faust completed some Ritual of some kind. Not sure what. At times like this I hate magic." Felicity said.
"I can never understand that stuff." Rene said.
Suddenly an alert came up.
"What is it?" Oliver asked.
"It's...The old lair." Felicity said.
"What like the original lair you guys used to work at?" Curtis asked.
"Yeah...I put motion detecters in it just incase we ever needed to go back to it. Someone is down there." Felicity said before Oliver got in his gear.
"I'll check it out." Oliver said.
Arriving back at the old lair Oliver walked into the second entrance before going in and saw someone looking around before he pulled out his bow and an arrow and aimed.
"Do not move! Hands above your head. Turn around slowly!" Oliver said getting said person to do that before he turned around. However the person made Oliver widen his eyes seeing who it was.
"Hey Oliver."
"Tommy?" Oliver said seeing his best friend alive.
"Uh what happened to the place?" Tommy asked
"Guys...You are not gonna believe who's down here." Oliver said on the comms.
However suddenly another Alert came up.
"Now what?" Thea asked.
"It's your old mansion. Oliver was gonna buy it back. Someone is in there." Felicity said.
"I'll check it out." Thea said getting her gear on.
Arriving back at her old home Thea saw the locks were not broken or anything for that matter.
Entering she found two people inside.
"Turn around!" Thea said getting them to do that and who it was shocked her before she took off her hood and Mask.
"Thea?"
"Mom? Dad?" Thea said seeing her parents Robert and Moria Queen alive.
"What are you wearing?" Robert asked.
"What in the hell?" Thea asked.
In Gotham
Alfred was in the middle of cleaning the living room when someone entered.
"Welcome Back Master Bruce. I do hope work went well." Alfred said.
"Alfred?"
Alfred widened his eyes recognizing that voice before he turned around and saw two people.
"My word." Alfred said before Bruce walked in.
"Alfred have you seen..." Bruce tried to say till he saw two people he hasn't seen in decades since he was a child.
"Bruce? Is that you?"
"Dad? Mom?" Bruce said in shock seeing his parents Thomas and Martha Wayne alive and well.
"Good heavens." Alfred said.
Meanwhile at Legion command
"I know Bruce. I'm getting reports of people that are supposed to be dead are alive and walking around the place!" Sean said.
"How is this possible?" Bruce asked.
"I don't know!" Sean said before someone knocked on his door. "Enter." Sean said before Talbot walked in with someone he and Sean haven't seen in 18 years. "Quint?" Sean asked in shock.
"Hello Son." Quint said chuckling.
"I literally just ran into him in the lobby. What the hell is going on?" Talbot asked.
"ARGH!" Sean yelled throwing a glass at the wall. "THIS IS CONFUSING AND IRRITATING THE LIVING HELL OUT OF ME!" Sean yelled.
"Easy son." Quint said.
"Uh Sean?" Superman said on the comms.
"Let me guess. Your parents are alive on your home world right?" Sean asked.
"Yeah." Superman said seeing his father and mother. "What is going on?" Superman asked.
"I don't know! I'm getting reports like this everywhere!" Sean said.
Meanwhile
"I want some answers as to how the hell this is even remotely possible." Tom said to his squad before.
"Tom?"
The group turned and saw a few people they haven't seen in years.
"Dillion?" Tom said seeing his old CIA buddy.
"You look...Old." Dillon said making him snort.
"Thats what happens when almost 40 years have passed.
"40 years?" Hawkings asked his old commander.
"Oh yeah. It's been 38 years since you all died minus Anna who died almost 28 years ago." Wade said.
"How?" Blain asked.
"You all were killed by a predator. An Alien from another world. We're on good terms though with them now out of respect." Lane said.
"What in the name of hell." Dillon said.
Meanwhile
"People are coming back to life all over the place." Strange said to Wong.
"I can see. But how?" Wong said.
"A rather simple answer."
Both turned and saw the Ancient one alive and breathing.
"Not surprised." Strange said.
"The reason everyone is coming back is because someone has used an ancient spell." The Ancient one said.
"This has to be what Faust did." Wong said.
"But why bring back good people?" Strange asked.
Meanwhile at the New Asgard
"Father?" Thor said seeing his father and his mother alive.
"Hello my sons." Odin said.
"What is going on?" Loki asked in shock.
"You tell me! Is this another of your tricks!" Thor yelled making Hela roll her eyes before grabbing them by the ears and pulled.
"Hey!" Thor yelled.
"Both of you shut up." Hela said before letting go. "Ugh." Hela said making Odin chuckle.
"I see you have changed drastically." Odin said making her smile.
Meanwhile
Meggie Sawyer was giving out orders to her fellow Police.
"Listen up! I don't know whats going on but we're getting reports of various people coming back from the dead and not as Zombies. I want everyone to be ready for anything.
"Does that include me?"
Everyone looked and widened their eyes seeing Dan Turpin who was killed by Darkseid years ago walking through the crowd.
"Dan?" Meggie sid in shock.
"Care to explain what the hell is going on? I'm completely lost." Turpin said.
Meanwhile
(Insert Rare Earth Elements from Black Ops 2 Soundtrack)
"What in the name of hell? Why is everyone coming back to life?" Talbot asked before Sean came in with some black metal box before placing it down.
"The hell is that?" Quint asked.
"This is a list of ever spell in existence. I have a theory that Faust casted a resurrection spell. But I need to know exactly which one." Sean said before a large screen appeared showing every spell.
"Ah crap. Theres trillions here." Talbot said.
"It must have taken some sacrifice to do what he did." Quint said.
"Sacrifice." Sean said thinking. "Narrow it down to required sacrifice." Sean said getting the AI to do that lowering it down to a thousand.
"Well, that makes things more simple." Quint said.
"Hmm." Talbot said before looking at the moon outside.
"Was there anything unique during the time of the ritual?" Talbot asked.
"There was a Blood Red Moon." Sean said before inserting it into the device narrowing it down to a hundred. "We're getting close." Sean said.
"Was there anything special there when it happened?" Quint asked.
"The Annihilator armor. Do any of them require a weapon or object of great power?" Talbot asked getting it to narrow down to one.
"Bingo." Sean said.
Later
"This is the spell that brought everyone we know and love back to life. It's called the Balance breaker resurrection Ritual. Most spells can only bring back a limited number of people. This one however is limitless." Sean said.
"Why bring back everyone we know though? That doesn't make any sense." Batman said.
"This spell is different. While it's limitless it does have requirements. In order to make sure it's perfectly balanced it can't just bring back bad people it also has to bring back good people. Hence the name Balance breaker." Sean said.
"So in order to balance it out it has to be perfectly balanced with the amount of people brought back." Tom said.
"Not exactly. It doesn't have to be perfect just balanced enough. My guess is this is Vilgax's way of increasing his numbers since a large number of enemies we have were dead shortly before Faust casted that spell. But it does have a downside to it. The caster's Body, Mind and Soul are erased as if the caster never existed to begin with." Sean said.
"So anyone from any time period could come back." Mason said looking at Bowman who died decades ago.
"Yeah no kidding." Tony said looking at his parents.
"Not exactly. For ordinary people the time limit is 60 years hence why Bowman is alive along with several other people. However for Gods the time line is limitless. Hence why Horus's parents are alive and I'm willing to bet Set is also alive." Sean said. "And if someone's soul was burned up they can also return which shouldn't be possible but it is." Sean said.
"So people like Ashly are coming back." Rene said.
"No. She's not coming back. She's in a place called the Abyss. It's reserved for the most evil souls out there. No spell even this can never bring her back." Sean said.
"What Freddy and his group?" Dig asked.
"Um...They were in between so I don't know." Sean said unsure.
"In any event we need to prepare for our old enemies returning." Lane said.
"Also I would prepare for ShockBlast and other Transformers since they are considered living beings as well in their own right." Sean said.

Meanwhile
"Welcome my comrades to the new Regime." Vilgax said looking at the resurrected villains.
"Ah it feels good to be back." Red Skull said.
"I like it here." The Original Joker said laughing.
"Vilgax was it?" Red Skull said.
"Yes?" Vilgax asked.
"We need to talk in regards about Freddy Kruger." Red Skull said.
"Oh? What about? We know everything about him." Grodd said.
"He's referring to Freddy's Regime being nothing by a lie." Vilgax said shocking everyone.
"WHAT!" Almost everyone yelled out in shock, Horror and denial.
"I've gone over everything. Things did not add up. I came to the conclusion that Freddy Kruger was actually helping his younger brother create the Legion." Vilgax said.
"Why that no good little!" ShockBlast said.
"I knew something was wrong!" Plastro yelled.
"SILENCE!" Vilgax yelled making everyone shut up. "Freddy's Regime was a lie. Mine is not! And I assure everyone here we will crush the Legion!" Vilgax yelled getting roars of approval from his new and old comrades.
Authors Note: I have had this idea for months! Bring up the numbers of the Regime but at the same time Bring back good people who died to balance out the good and dark. Now Next Chapter will be the one involving Huntress with some small but good changes. Now heres a list of everyone who's been brought back Good and Bad. I might have missed some folks and if so let me know and I'll fill that in later.
