Chapter 136 Legion vs Cadmus
Its been about Four months since any incidents occurred. Legion was keeping the people safe and doing what was needed to maintain peace in the universe. Of course the Regime hadn't been seen at all during those four months leaving the Legion wondering what they were up to now or where they were since both the Legion and Thanos couldn't find them.
And of course Superman was given his powers back but Sean had to put him under surveillance for a couple months since his actions almost damaged the Legion's reputation due to his paranoia on Lex.
Speaking of the Man of Steel. He and Captain Atom were currently fighting against a man known only as Mantis who was from Darkseid's home world.
Superman slugged him into the sub station making a hole.
"Whats the story on this guy?" Captain Atom asked.
"Civil war back on his home planet. Guess he thought it would be easier here." Superman said.
"Bad call." Captain Atom said as they flew into the sub way before they spotted Mantis who blasted Captain Atom.
"Captain Atom!" Superman said in concern.
"I'm okay. It'll just take me a moment to adjust to the energy." Captain Atom said before blasting Mantis before Superman dashed in and started beating him till he activated the mother box on his waist opening a boom tube.
"What in sam hill is that?" Captain Atom asked holding onto the wall to make sure he didn't get sucked in.
"A boom tube. Like our portals it will send him back home." Superman said.
"Got it. Duck." Atom said making him crouch before Atom blasted Mantis into the tube while he screamed before it closed. Superman held the Mother Box before crushing it.
"I gotta go." Superman said flying away as did Atom. However before Atom could leave.
"Captain Adams."
Captain Atom looked down and saw General Hager.
"Captain Nathaniel Adams." Hager said before he flew down.
"General Hager? What are you..." Atom tried to say till he was handed a document. "Whats this?"
"Orders. Your commission has been reactivated. You're back in the Air force." Hager said.
"I'm committed to the Legion now, sir." Atom said.
"You also made a commitment to the service. Seems to me you've got a choice to make." Hager said making him frown.
Later
Sean smiled as he played with his twin daughters Maya and Jiaying.
"You know these two look a lot like you." Sean said to Revy who picked up Jiaying before kissing her forehead making her laugh making her smile.
"Well, hopefully they don't turn out like I did before we met. I want them to actually have a good life growing up." Revy said.
"Well hopefully by the time they grow up my plan to decrease the population will be complete without Thanos having to use the stones." Sean said picking Maya up who babbled.
"You never did say what your plan was. Obviously its not genocide since you hate that unless its on Slaver species or criminal empires. So what is it?" Revy asked.
"An actual simple solution. Sterilization." Sean said making her blink.
"Come again?" Revy asked.
"I'm creating a simple genetic serum that will deactivate the reproduction systems in any living body. But's its random of course. The serum will deactivate once a certain number has been reached. This way the population goes down slowly and when and if the number reaches to high again it reactivate." Sean said.
"Oh I get it. This way the numbers go down at a steady pace. Thats actually pretty smart." Revy said as Jiaying yawned in her arms making her chuckle. "I guess she gets bored with Science as much as I did back then before my group was killed off." Revy said before Sean's phone rang.
"Yeah?" Sean asked.
"Good news. Question and Rorschach were able to acquire the intel we need to find out everything about Cadmus including their operations." Lane said.
"Good. Tell Question to get right on it." Sean said hanging up.
"Seems like things are really looking up." Revy said.
Meanwhile
In One of Cadmus's Luthor was being examined by Hamilton as a standard procedure.
"Take off the chest plate. You don't need it." Hamilton said deactivating the Chest Plate Travis created 8 years ago.
"What are you doing? I'll die without this. The cancer!" Lex said.
"Is gone, Lex. You're in remission. No. Thats not accurate. There's no trace of the disease. As if it was never there." Hamilton said.
"Thats preposterous."
"You've got the body of a 20-year-old and you don't have cancer." Hamilton said getting him to stand up and look at the charts.
"How?" Lex asked.
"I don't know. It might be the vest. It might be an unexpected effect of the Kryptonite poisoning that gave you the disease in the first place. I'll continue to study the..." Hamilton tried to say before Waller walked in.
"I'm in the middle of my physical, Mrs. Waller." Lex said.
"You might be in the middle of a hornets nest. Question and Rorschach have copied files from a high security Cadmus Terminal." Waller said.
"What did they get?" Lex asked.
"Tech support can't tell for certain. Maybe everything." Waller said making him frown before placing his hands on a table.
"For all our sakes, we'd better hope that the encryption on those files is as good as we've been told." Lex said.
Later on the watchtower
Question was hacking past the encryption of the files before they were unlocked.
"Finally the connection between Cadmus and Luthor." Question said before he spotted something. "Or something better. President Luthor?" Question said before clicking on the Oval Office. What he saw however though. "Oh, No. No, no." Question said.
Later
"So what are these things for again?" Superman asked as he held up a piece of equipment while large cabled were being attached to it from the bottom.
"It's an upgrade to our security system." Sean said before Question approached them. "Need something?" Sean asked.
"I hope so, but I assume you don't want to discuss your white house Weenie roast in front of a crowd." Question said making Sean frown before looking at Superman who nods and dropped the equipment.
"We'll be right back." Sean said as they made their way to the meeting room.
"Always wondered what was in here. Private conference room no doubt for the original three groups and the Military council." Question said.
"You mentioned something about the White house involving Superman. What were you talking about?" Sean asked.
"Not him exactly. Another version of him, hmm?" Question said.
"Stop dancing around it. Tell me what you know." Superman said.
"I know what you and the Legion told everyone before the Invasion by Hawkgirl's people. The Justice Lords a parallel universe version of the Justice League came to our universe to rid it of crime just as they did on their world. With Luthor's help while Sean was off world the Legion managed to rout them before they could impose their totalitarian will on our populace." Question said.
"Yes. What about it?" Sean asked.
"I also know now what you didn't tell anyone other than a small few including the Military council. On that other Earth their Superman killed the president." Question said making Superman crushed one of the chairs.
"CLARK!" Sean yelled annoyed.
"Huh? Oh whoops." Superman said.
"Idiot." Sean said.
"Question, no one can know about this." Superman said,
"Or what? You'll incinerate me, too?" Question asked.
"I'd never do anything like that." Superman said.
"Wouldn't you? Didn't you recently try to lobotomize Doomsday the same way their Superman did?" Question asked.
"That is completely different. Doomsday was a monster and a dangerous one at that. Plus were civilians on that island. Besides it didn't even work anyway. Thats why we had to put him down." Sean said.
"Either way it's the same. A heavily armed watchtower with an army of soldiers and enhanced individuals. Luthor Running for president. If it's not quite the same, it soon will be. Have you seen Amanda Waller's computer simulations?" Question asked.
"Oh for gods sakes thats not gonna happen." Sean said.
"Not even if Luthor is president?" Question asked making them frown. "Predestined." Question said walking away. "Flash will die, and Superman will kill Luthor. Armageddon, inevitable." Question said.
"Question, I'm..." Superman said placing a hand on his shoulder making him turn around in alarm.
"Easy. Look what happened in that universe is not gonna happen here. I've seen another universe with events similar. I won't let that happen." Sean said before he walked out.
"I know he's paranoid but this is extreme even for him." Superman said.
"Seeing something like what he did usually gives one a right to be concerned. But his fears won't happen." Sean said.
Later
Lex was walking into his office with some papers in hand before his chair turned around revealing Question making him smirk.
"Question, isn't it? I believe you have some files that belong to me." Lex said walking to his desk.
"Have you seen the latest polls?" Question asked looking at a newspaper. "Seems like either you or John Hammond will be the next President...Just like in that other world." Question said.
"I wouldn't bet against me." Lex said.
"No. It wouldn't be prudent. I want you to understand something, Luthor. Although my distaste for you as a human being is Brobdingnagian, What I'm about to do isn't personal." Question said.
"What are you babbling about?" Lex asked amused.
"Everything that exists has a specific nature. For instance Sean and Thanos are destined to fight each other. Not Today, Not Tomorrow but one day they will fight for the fate of this universe. However you on the other hand may be the key to Earth's destruction and I cannot allow that." Question said.
"You're going to kill me so Superman can't." Lex said.
"I'm a well-known crackpot. The Legions reputation will completely survive my actions. And Earth will survive." Question said pulling out a belt.
"Interesting plan. Unfortunately its not really an option." Lex said smacking him into the glass that held his shark. (Who keeps a shark in their fucking office!) Lex grinned at this before approaching him. "President? Foolish, Faceless man. My campaign is a farce. A small part of a much grander scheme. Besides do you have any idea how much power I would have to give up to be President?" Lex asked before grabbing him by the head. "Now about those files you took." Lex said.
3 days later
Sean was flying around Metropolis before one of the beacons was activated making him fly in the direction.
Arriving at the beacon Sean found Huntress.
"Hey honey. I assume this isn't a social call." Sean said as his helmet went into his suit making her smile before kissing him.
"Not right now no. We have a problem. Question has been missing for over three days now. He's missed each check in which is unlike him." Huntress said.
"Oh no. I get the feeling he's gone off books and tried to do something he wasn't supposed to." Sean said.
"Meaning Cadmus has him." Huntress said.
"I already know where they are. We're gonna have to do this off the books." Sean said.
"Works for me." Huntress said.
Soon enough both ware at Cadmus headquarters that was hidden behind a large door before Sean smashed and took fire from the troops inside but the bullets just bounced off him. The Visor in his suit glowed before white beam hit every weapon reducing them to dust.
Huntress charged in at them while Sean's visor turned red to scan past the walls before he spotted something.
"Handle this I got something that needs my attention." Sean said smashing through the wall.
Sean busted a door down where Hamilton was in and narrowed his eyes at them.
"We need to talk. When did they recruit you?" Sean asked.
"Recruit me? I went to them." Hamilton said making him frown.
"How can you work with these people? You know what their capable of what they've done. I would have thought you of all people would never even think of associating with them." Sean said.
"So did I until Superman went Rogue. I was on the receiving end of his anger once." Hamilton said.
"Thats what this is about! One little scare and you turn on him. His cousin was dying and afraid of course he snapped like that! What would you have done!" Sean yelled making him look away.
"I thought what I was doing was right. And I still do." Hamilton said.
"Says the man who brought back a monster from the dead." Sean said.
"Henshaw? All Hager told me was he hated aliens and you killed him without a second thought." Hamilton said.
"You are without a doubt one of the biggest idiots I've met. Henshaw barged into my house demanding I hand over my kids Alora and Mon-El because they were Khryptonians. He said he was gonna dissect them and turn them into weapons." Sean said making him widen his eyes in shock. "And you brought him back. How many innocent people has he killed since then? That blood...Is on your hands." Sean said before turning to leave while Hamilton placed his hands on the table and took shaky breaths.
Huntress knocked out the last of the guards before Sean came out.
"You ok?" Huntress asked in concern seeing the rage in his eyes.
"No. Lets get Question and get the fuck out of here." Sean said.
Question screamed as he was being tortured by Hugo before Sean barged in and threw a knife at his head making it go through before he dropped dead. (I got a question. What happened to Hugo during his time at Cadmus? He made one appearance and never came back)
Huntress freed Question who just mumbled.
"Lets go. I'll clear the way." Sean said.
"That won't be necessary Kruger." Captain Atom said flying in.
"Atom. Good you can..." Sean tried to say before Cyborg Superman flew next to him. "Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"I'm afraid you misunderstand. I'm currently assigned to General Hager's special projects. Our orders are to prevent you from taking Question out of this facility. So hows this gonna go down?" Atom asked as his hand was engulfed in Radiation making Sean narrow his eyes.
"You cannot be serious. You know what Hager is capable of. The ODIN satellites. The Accords. The second third Energy incident and the Nuke he launched on San Vacaro and various other crimes. Are you really gonna trust him?" Sean asked in disbelief.
"I'm a solider and I take orders." Atom said.
"That your final answer?" Sean asked.
"Yes." Atom said before Sean blasted him back with his visor before Henshaw charged right at him but Sean grabbed him and slammed him into the wall.
"Get Question out of here. I'll deal with this." Sean said.
"No ones taking Question anywhere. I thought I made that clear." Captain Atom said charging right at him Till Sean grabbed him and punched him into a wall hard before he tried to hit him in the chest but his attack bounced off.
"This suit of mine can absorb radiation to transfer to something or block an attack and since all of your attacks are powered by Radiation." Sean said kneeing him the gut making him gasp in shock before slamming his elbow down on his back.
Henshaw charged in and used heat vision on Sean's helmet making him growl in annoyance before his left arm turned into a crystal blade and tried to slash him but he just broke it with a single punch.
"I'm a hundred times more powerful than I was as a human. You can't defeat me." Henshaw said before two cannons appeared on Sean's shoulders and blasted him in the chest causing some serious damage to his systems.
Atom quickly tried to tackle Sean down but Venom just took over and slammed him into wall hard before delivering a number of damaging hits to him knocking him out before Slamming him through the wall into the room where Huntress was with Question.
"Oh boy he's really pissed." Huntress said before using a grappling hook to get topside.
Sean took over again and grabbed Henshaw by the arms before tearing them off making him cry out in pain.
"This is for threatening my kids." Sean said before grabbing his head and tore it right off and crushed it. "Good riddance." Sean said before moving to where Atom was who was still out cold before medics arrived to treat him "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HIM!" Sean yelled making them get back. "He's Legion." Sean said picking him up before flying up to Huntress who opened a portal before they went through.
Later
Question was being treated by the Medics before Sean walked in.
"Leave us." Sean said getting them to leave.
"Gonna lecture me?" Question asked.
"The fuck were you thinking? Trying kill Luthor?" Sean asked.
"I was trying to stop Superman from killing him." Question said.
"Clark...Our Clark is incapable of taking a life not even Darkseid not matter how much he wants to. It's not in his nature. More importantly..." Sean tried to say.
"You should know Luthor's presidency is fake." Question said stopping him.
"What?" Sean asked.
"He admitted it to my face...So to speak. The whole thing was to anger Superman to damage his reputation. And given what happened 4 months ago I think he's winning that war." Question said making him frown before leaving.
Sean saw Kara looking at Captain Atom who was being treated.
"What happened?" Kara asked.
"He turned on us. Hager used his loyalty as a soldier of the country to work for Cadmus. I don't blame him." Sean said.
"I do." Eiling said walking to them. "I recommend he be kicked out once he's healed up." Eiling said.
"No. Wade your a solider of the country are you saying you wouldn't do the same?" Sean asked making him raise an eyebrow.
"Ok good point. Still I don't trust him anymore now since he turned his back on us and went with Hager." Eiling said.
"He'll have to earn it then." Sean said as they left.
Walking to the Bridge they saw Superman arguing with Talbot.
"Clark the answer is no." Talbot said.
"The hells going on here?" Sean asked.
"He wants to go down and take out Cadmus completely." Talbot said.
"Look what they did. They kidnapped Question and turned Atom against us and created a cyborg of me." Superman said.
"Actually Hamilton did that." Sean said shocking him.
"What? Why?" Kara asked.
"After Superman went Rogue he went to them out of some misguided fear. And he's most likely the one who cloned you into Galatea. He was the only one who had access to your blood work." Sean said.
"Thats more than enough reason to finish them off to me." Gat said adjusting his shades.
"I don't know. I mean I get that they have issues with us but attacking them so suddenly seems extreme." Static said.
"Enough." Sean said stopping them all. "Look we can't just go attack a government facility. Especially one that was authorized by the President and before you say anything Clark yes President Clinton did authorize Cadmus I would know she told me." Sean said.
"Why? The fuck did we do to her?" Dutch asked.
"Nothing. She just believes the country should be prepared for the worst case scenario and I fully agree. She does admit she's not happy about who's in it though. Particularly Hager and some more questionable people." Sean said.
"They are gonna come after us one way or the other no matter what happens. And with Hager down there you knows its unavoidable." Superman said.
"I can't argue with that part. I don't trust Hager Period not after the first stunt he pulled of taking credit for something he didn't do." Sean said.
"And whats that?" Ebon asked.
"I created a new security system for the country by his request. At the time I would be gaining another ally. Instead though he took all the credit which got him the rank of four stars. Which he's been demoted from over the last few years due to his stupidity." Sean said.
"I think Superman's got the right idea. I think we should just go down there and finish them off before they attack us first." Thor said.
"I think he's right." Warmonger said.
"No, No, NO!" Sean said. "We are not gonna attack them. Most of the troops down there are just following orders." Sean said before an alert came up.
"Fusion cannon activated." The computer said.
"WHAT! No one has even put in the codes!" Talbot yelled trying to shut it down. "Override! Security code 22573!" Talbot yelled.
"Access denied." The computer said.
"SHIT!" Sean yelled before slashing the terminal making it shut down.
"Ok that close." Dutch said.
"No shit." Gat said before it started up again.
"Rerouting Binary fusion control." The computer said.
"CLARK! GET OUT THERE AND DESTROY THE DAMN THING BEFORE IT FIRES!" Sean yelled getting him to dash down before coming out of the Watch Tower but it fired anyway and blew him away as it hit its Target. Cadmus headquarters.
Sean flew outside and grabbed Superman before heading inside.
"Damage report." Lane said.
"Power is out in all sectors. Enough to keep oxygen going though." Sean said before he, Static and Black lighting powered up some of the machines.
"Man what happened? And what did we hit?" Static asked.
"Cadmus headquarters. Thankfully it was abandoned after our little rescue however the city was most likely damaged. Clark see if you, Karen and Kara can open the bay doors to send out some help to the city." Sean said.
"Got it." Superman said flying away with his cousins.
Soon the relief ships went planet side before the three came back in.
"We need to get in contact with command." Lane said.
"I'm working on it." Sean said working on the machine before Live news appeared on the screens of the disaster.
"Can we turn it off?" Superman asked.
"No." Sean said before kicking the machine. "I don't get it. How did this happen? We put security measures when we built this place." Sean said.
"I think someone from outside took control. Maybe Hager did this to make us look bad." Sally said.
"Yeah that sounds like him but I'm having a hard time seeing anyone under his command pulling this off." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Amanda and the others who ran Cadmus such as Hager, Stryker and Hamilton were in the conference room.
"This is all the proof we need. They tried to wipe us out." Hager said.
"We don't know that yet." Hamilton said.
"What more proof do we need! They attacked us and if he hadn't moved to here we would be dead! It's time to strike back before they realize they failed." Hager said making Amanda sigh.
"For once I agree." Amanda said making him grin.
Amanda walked into a part of the facility before she came to a stop.
"I take it your fit for Duty again?" Amanda asked as someone lifted heavy training set. The person turned out to be a fully healed Galatea.
"Never been fitter." Galatea said dropping the weight before following her.
"Your job is to destroy the Legion." Amanda said before opening a door which revealed a large number of cloned versions of the Ultimen that were devoid of emotion. "Get it done." Amanda said making her smirk.
Meanwhile
Everyone on the Watch Tower was trying to repair the damage the Cannon caused.
"Any luck?" Lane asked.
"It's gonna take at least over an hour before Power comes back online." Sally said working on the power source before the screens turned on again showing the destruction the cannon caused.
"Turn it off." Superman said.
"Can't this is the only source of info we have right now." Sean said.
"I think we need to consider some option to let the government know we're willing to cooperate." Superman said.
"What do you suggest?" Sean asked.
"Me and the original seven will turn ourselves in till this situation has been resolved." Superman said making him frown.
"That is a bold move." Sean said.
"But it might at least put some of the pressure off on us till we can figure out what happened." Superman said making him sigh.
"Get going then." Sean said as he and Wonder Woman walked away before he grabbed her arm. "Be careful. Hager might try to take advantage of this situation." Sean said making her nod before leaving.
"Don't worry son she'll be fine." Lane said.
"I hope so." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"Hold still, Galatea. You're invulnerable. This can't possibly be hurting you." Hamilton said attatching a device to her forehead.
"Boredom is my kryptonite. Ok Kryptonite is my Kryptonite but you know what I mean. Although, the way I'm feeling lately I don't think even that can stop me." Galatea said flexing her arm.
"Think again. You're an exact copy of Super Girl and aged to her prime." Hamilton said before he finished. "This device will give you complete control of the Ultimen since their more blank slates compared to the originals. All they can do is follow your commands." Hamilton said before Waller walked in.
"Its time." Amanda said making her get up about to leave but stopped.
"Something wrong?" Hamilton asked.
"Nothing." Galatea said walking to him before pulling him into a hug. "Goodbye, Daddy." Galatea said before she left while he sighed.
"What have I done." Hamilton asked.
As Galatea was about to leave Hager got in her way.
"Something you need?" Galatea asked.
"Put this in." Hager said handing her a ear piece which she took and put in her left ear before she had a blank look on her face. "You have one order. Kill Kruger and everyone on the Watchtower by any means necessary. Only my orders matter no one elses." Hager said.
Meanwhile
Sean sighed loudly as he continued to work on the machines.
"After this crap is over I'm giving this place one hell of an upgrade." Sean said.
"This bites! They shouldn't have to go to prison." Kara said.
"It's only temporary. Besides its the right thing to do." Sean said.
"How do you figure?" Kara asked.
"We've got no business scaring people more than they already are. Like Clark said this will take some of the Pressure off." Sean said.
"Nobody really believes we did this." Kara said.
"Don't be so sure. Fear and anger are strong motivators." Sean said.
"Hey whats that?" Gat asked seeing some kind of objects heading for them.
"Back up?" Ebon asked.
"No thats not it. They look like..." Kara said getting a better look and widened her eyes. "Missiles." Kara said as at least 30 missiles flew at them.
"Damocles-Class missiles. Thats Lexcorp technology!" Steel yelled.
"Brace!" Talbot yelled as the missiles turned into drilled before impacting the tower.
"The hell? Why didn't they explode?" Lane asked.
"Wait a minute." Sean said before they started opening up and the Ultimen charged out and attacked the Legion.
"Them again? I thought they were on Ice?" Lane asked shooting shifter.
"These are blank Slates! Look at their eyes. I wouldn't even consider them to be alive." Sean said slashing Wind Dragon in half. "I always wanted to do that." Sean said before everyone on the Watchtower fought the Ultimen.
Below however Galatea made her way to the reactor room to carry out Hager's orders.
Meanwhile
Amanda and Hager watched the data on the attack on the Watch Tower.
"I have been waiting for this moment for years." Hager said before Batman came down.
"We got business Waller." Batman said punching Hager over the table. "Sean said you were a patriot. Well, its time to step up. You have to know the Legion would never fire that weapon at you." Batman said.
"Sure you would. It was retaliation for kidnapping your man the Question." Amanda said.
"And yet you weren't home. You think we didn't see you evacuate your offices? You know how the cannon works it leaves the tower vulnerable for an hour. Why would we fire at an abandoned facility and leave ourselves vulnerable for the attack you've already started?" Batman asked making her raise an eyebrow.
"Ok...Point taken. If you didn't fire at us though who did?" Amanda asked.
"Someone took control of the weapon from outside the Tower. There are dozens of people capable of that. All but one were on the Watch Tower." Batman said.
"Luthor. Thats where you going at." Amanda said.
"Before the Fusion cannon fired Sean said that Luthor admited his presidency was fake to Question." Batman said making her narrow her eyes.
"What?" Amanda said not happy about his lie.
"If he's been lying about his presidency you know he clearly has a primary objective and used his presidency as a smoke screen." Batman said.
Suddenly Hager got up which she noticed before turning back and saw Batman was gone.
"Hmm. What are you up to Lex?" Amanda asked.
Meanwhile
Russo fired at one of the Ultimen in the face before he was back to back with Frank Castle.
"Remind you of Iraq?" Frank asked.
"Hell no. Iraq back then was normal. This is not normal." Russo said firing.
Alex Mercer sliced through a few of the Ultimen before Downpour tried to drown him but Fire evaporated her.
Laxus used lightning on his enemies knocking them out.
Steeel smacked some away before he got an alert in the reactor room.
"Theres something wrong with the Reactor room!" Steel yelled.
"I got it." Sean yelled flying off.
Arriving at the Reactor room Sean found Galatea smashing some of the controls.
"Galatea?" Sean asked jumping next to her before she punched him into a wall. "OW! What was that..." Sean tried to say till she saw the look in her eyes which was devoid of emotion. "Uh oh." Sean said before she charged at him before both were in a deadlock.
Meanwhile
"He played me. I knew he was a snake and I still let him bite me." Amanda said going through some files.
"This isn't important. Making Sure Kruger and the Legion are crushed is." Hager said.
"Shut up." Amanda said before pulling up files. "He's recently shipped a lot of our new technology to Lexcorp. Thats what he's stolen. Hamilton could he take control of the cannon with this?" Amanda asked.
"Technically yes but thats the least of it...My god I think I know what he's doing." Hamilton said.
"We gotta stop the mission." Stryker said before Hager aimed his weapon at them.
"No one is doing anything. We're killing the Legion." Hager said.
"I hate when Sean's right." Amanda said pressing a button and Hager screamed in pain as he was electrocuted before Stryker knocked him out.
"What was that?" Stryker asked.
"A little something I had implanted in his his cybernetic arms after Sean tore them off." Amanda said before activating the comms. "Galatea! The mission is scrubbed." Amanda said but got no response.
"I think Hager gave her something before the Mission." Stryker said making her frown.
Meanwhile
Sean growled as he kicked Galatea into a wall.
"Sean." Amanda said on the comms.
"Amanda? What the fuck did you do to her? She's completely devoid of emotion." Sean said as she tried to punch him but he just slugged her hard.
"Listen to me. Theres a device in her left ear. Hager gave it. Take that out and she'll be fine." Amanda said.
"Right." Sean said before pulling her into a head lock and pulled it out.
"Huh?" Galatea said looking around.
"Hey honey." Sean said before she saw him and grinned.
"This isn't some kinky thing you have is it? Cause I'm up for almost anything really." Galatea said making him laugh before letting her go before she pulled him into a kiss.
"Nice to see you as well. You look good." Sean said.
"Yeah I've been working out." Galatea said flexing her arm.
"So I see." Sean said. "Amanda whats going on? Why are you calling off the mission so suddenly." Sean asked.
"Why don't you ask Lex when you see him? He's the one who took control of the cannon. But more importantly theres something else he's doing." Amanda said.
"Such as?" Sean asked.
Meanwhile
Luthor was working on something in his building till he was finished.
"Now your perfect." Luthor said looking at a body that was very similar to Amazo's original body. "A perfect Super powerful immortal Body. A suitable place for me to spend the rest of eternity." Luthor said. "Ironic. Years of plotting, hundreds of millions spent on Cadmus R&D projects and none of it bore Fruit. Now, it's a lonely employee of LexCorp Dr. Ivo, creator of Amazo who I have to thank for my impending godhood." Luthor said attaching a cable to the head.
"That was the last piece I needed." Batman said behind him.
"Figured it all out?" Luthor asked.
"When you and Ray worked together to stop the original Amazo he showed you the blue prints and I suspect you have a photographic memory." Batman said.
"I'm too modest to Boast." Lex said. (Bullshit)
"The real purpose of Project Cadmus was to give you super powers." Batman said.
"And to ruin Superman's reputation. Imagine how sweet it will be when I save the world from the menace of the Legion. Now, when I kill Superman, they'll build statues in my honor." Lex said.
"Maybe Next time." Batman said throwing an explosive at the Android but Lex caught it and it blew up in his hand but didn't harm him making him widen his eyes.
"That was uncalled for." Lex said before grabbing him and threw him outside the glass.
Placing a helmet on he was about to begin when.
"Hey Lex." Amanda said gaining his attention as she carried some highly advanced weapon in her hands. "That Android is Cadmus Property. Your gonna have to find somewhere else to keep your brain." Amanda said firing a beam at it making him jump back as it melted the Android. "A nano-Disassembler beam. Your design I believe." Amanda said grinning.
"Arrogant Cow! It will take me weeks to build another Body." Lex said.
"You ain't got weeks, Baldy. Your under arrest for using Legion technology to try and murder everyone at Cadmus." Amanda said before he yelled as he smacked her into a wall.
"Did you really think you could take me down all by yourself?" Lex asked amused.
"Actually yeah. But on the off chance I was wrong." Amanda said making him turn around seeing Sean with the original Seven.
"Ta-da." Flash said.
"It's over Lex. Come quietly." Sean said.
"Not until I..." Lex tried to say before he started screaming as his body started changing with metal parts making them widen their eyes.
"I'd hopped to remained hidden until I could instal myself into the Android." A voice said before a familiar face appeared on Lex's stomach. "But you forced my hand."
"Brainiac?" Sean said surprised.
"Ok that is seriously messed up." Flash said.
"I don't understand whats happening." Lex said.
"You are under my control. I have lain dormant within you for years, Lex Luthor subtly influencing your actions until we arrived at this point. Do you not recall my kidnapping of you in this very building?" Brainiac asked.
"Yes. You forced me to build you a new body." Lex said remembering. (Incase people forget this was during the Superman Animated series)
"Kal-El destroyed that body, foiling my plans. In any event, I always have a backup plan. Consider how could you survive a point blank blast from me, unless." Brainiac said.
"It wasn't intended to kill me." Lex said.
"The Beam carried a nanotech payload that inserted a microscopic holistic copy of my program inside your body. Since then, I have steadily grown in strength protecting this body until I could arrange my transfer into a more suitable one." Brainiac said.
"You cured my cancer. Gave my super strength." Lex said.
"Your animal protein shell was insufficient improvements were required." Brainiac said.
"Hate to interrupt the special live performance of the thing with two heads, but it's time to go to Jail now." Flash said.
"What he said." Amanda said as she started blasting both of them till they fell down. "Think we can salvage Lex out of that thing?" Amanda asked.
"Not right now." Sean said as they got up fully healed.
"Uh oh." Hawkgirl said.
"Begone." Brainiac said before the room exploded while most of them flew from the explosion Lantern used his ring to catch Amanda while Hawkgirl caught Flash.
Sean and Superman delivered a series of hits to Brainiac before Sean's visor glowed and blasted them both hard damaging them.
"No, I was not yet prepared for this battle." Brainiac said going to the top of the building before slamming his hands down before it transformed into a ship with his face.
"Oh fuck." Sean said before it started attacking the city.
"Take it down!" Superman said as they started attacking the ship.
Sean slashed a piece away before going inside and placed a explosive inside before flying out just as it blew up and landed in the park.
Soon the heroes arrived at the scene before Batman inspected some Fluid.
"That was too easy." Batman said.
"Yeah...He played us. No doubt he's planning to repair himself." Sean said.
"And just how the hell is he gonna do that?" Hawkgirl asked.
"He needs technology. He'll go for the highest level he can find." Sean said.
"He may just dump Luthor." Wonder Woman said.
"No he's right he still needs him." Superman said.
"So where would he go? Which place has the highest level of Technology in the area?" Hawkgirl asked.
"Most likely Star Labs." Flash said.
"He'll go to Cadmus." Amanda said.
"Sure he's all Nano Tech right? Whats the highest level of Nano tech on the planet?" Hawkgirl asked.
"The Darkheart. Forerunner Tech. We destroyed it but Cadmus got the remains." Sean said.
"We never got any of it to work again." Amanda said.
"And you think Brainiac can't?" Sean asked before they got in a Javlin.
"Lane we got a problem here. Brainiac is back and he's inhabiting Luthor's body." Sean said.
"Sorry son but we can't help. Those damn clones destroyed everything in the hanger and the portals are down." Lane said.
"Fucking figures." Sean said before activating the comms. "I need everyone planet side to this coordinates ASAP!" Sean said.
"Sorry Kruger but we can't get there. Hager launched an assault on the city where the Cannon hit on us. We got wounded here." Reznov said.
"GRRR! Fucking asshole! Whats the point in having so many people in the Legion if no one else can help." Sean asked.
"The eight of us will have to do." Batman said as they flew next to the Cadmus building where the Spiders were before they landed and got out.
"My X-ray vision can't penetrate the walls. But I'm seeing a rapidly growing heat signature around the building." Superman said.
"You don't need super Vision for that. Can't you feel the heat?" Wonder Woman asked before the building exploded.
"Now what?" Sean asked. Suddenly silver liquids began to take shape of technology building some kind of machine. In the center of this building was Luthor in some kind of Gold suit.
"Welcome Legion. You are just in time for the end of the World." Lutor/Brainiac said.
"I know your in their Lex. Fight him." Superman said.
"Your Right I am in here and I like it. I'm about to get everything I ever wanted. Power, Ultimate Knowledge Immortality." Luthor said.
"And you'll destroy the Earth to Get it?" Sean asked.
"It's buisness Sean. You should know from experience there are always trade off." Luthor said before his helmet appeared appeared from his suit.
"Less talking more hitting!" Hawkgirl said flying in but got blasted away.
"You cannot be allowed to interfere at this delicate stage." Luthor said before creating Brainiac clones. "No, no, no. We can do better then that." Luthor said before they began to take the forms of the Justice Lords and Ashly.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me." Sean said before his robotic version of his Niece attacked him.
"You left my father to Die!" Ashly yelled attacking him before Sean jumped above her.
"Oh not this bullshit." Sean said.
"You and the rest of your pathetic Family are nothing but cowards!" Ashly yelled before Wonder woman punched her away.
"Care to trade dance partners?" Wonder Woman asked making him smirk before pulling out his blades of chaos and killed Lord Wonder Woman with ease while Diana smashed Ashly's head in. "Thats for kidnapping my son." Wonder Woman said.
"Somehow I doubt she'll be the last for some reason." Sean said before the others took down their Lord versions.
"Take him down now!" Superman yelled before Luthor blasted them back. Sean's visor hower glowed brightly before a large blast destroyed the machine Luthor was using before it came tumbling down on them all.
Flash came out of the wreckage before Luthor did as well.
"You lose." Flash said before his hands were grabbed by the silver Liquid before the forms of two soldiers appeared.
"Hardly. Look around you. The Legion is defeated. You have all but inconvenienced me, Barry. But I'm still just human enough to enjoy taking my Revenge." Luthor said about to shoot before Flash got out of his grasp. "Are you going to fight me Allen?" Luthor asked before he ran away making him chuckle in amusment about to start repairing his machine. However suddenly Barry using his Speed started running at him and hit him making his armor come off before he started running around the world to use more speed to damage him.
Sean got up with Wonder Woman before they spotted Flash over Luthor with lightning coming off him before he shoved his fist into Luthor making him scream as Flash started to separate them before a bright flash of light appeared.
When the light died down they saw Luthor human again and...Naked. Flash however looked weak and started to disappear.
"I feel kinda...Funny." Flash said before vanishing.
"Barry!" Sean yelled before he was gone making everyone look in shock before Luthor laughed making them look at him.
"What do you know? I did kill him." Luthor said grinning before looking up seeing Superman glaring at him. "I think I was wrong. I think this is the part where you kill me." Luthor said before grunting as Superman picked him up by the neck and his eyes glowed red. Wonder Woman tried to rush in but Sean and Batman stopped her before his eyes returned to normal.
"I'm not the man who killed President Luthor. Right now I wish to heaven and above that I were but I'm not." Superman said dropping him.
"You don't have the spine to take another life Clark thats one of the good things about you." Sean said walking to them. And suddenly grabbed Luthor by the neck holding him up. "But I do." Sean said activating the Ghost Rider State. "Look into my eyes! Your soul is stained by the blood of the innocent! Feel their PAIN!" Sean yelled making Lex scream as his soul was tormented by all those he had wronged over the years before his eyes were badly burned and Sean dropped him.
"Everyone listen! Flash is still alive! I'm telepathic contact with him. His spirit is weak and growing weaker." J'onn said before a portal appeared.
"Hang on." Sean said using his chain to find him before pulling him back out before Hawkgirl held him.
"I don't think I can go that fast. If I do I ain't coming back." Barry said making them chuckle. (I just love this ending. Could have made it to Sean taking Luthor Down one on one but I liked this one better)
Later
After everything was sorted out Cadmus was shut down and under new Management under the Legion. Hager...Well this time he had gone To far. He would be dishonorably discharged at a later date which pissed him off royally. Hamilton given a second chance was now working for the Legion. And Amanda of course got off Scott free. Some of the other more questionable members like Ian Quint and Senator Nader were arrested for various crimes while Stryker since he helped out was let off the hook.
"Finally this whole ordal is over. Now we can focus on the Regime." Sean said to Thanos in Hologram form.
"Indeed. Ebony Maw believes our enemies are in another Universe. We shall soon track them down. In the meantime I suggest you and your people recover from this event. You'll need them at full strength when it comes to this fight." Thanos said.
"Agreed." Sean said ending his transmission.
"Now we only have one issue to deal with." Lane said.
"We'll find the Regime eventually. In the meantime I think the troops deserve some...Entertainment." Sean said smirking.
Authors Note: Finally! I have wanted to get this done with forever. Now Next Chapter is starring a special guest. I planned this for months so tell me if you Recognize this Line. SILENCE! I KILL YOU! Figure that out and you'll guess who's going to be entertaining the Legion and cracking some funny Jokes. Now also I will try to update some of my other stories.
