Chapter 138 300
Ebony Maw was looking at the Universe the Regime has been in for only a short time.
"So what Universe is this exactly" Sean asked.
"I believe this universe is less advanced. More ancient like during your non technological days." Maw said.
"Put it up on the main screen." Lane said getting him to do that.
On the screen appeared fit men with swords, spears and shields fighting against the Regime.
"As I said less evolved." Maw said while Sean looked closer.
"No way." Sean said.
"What is it?" Lane asked.
"I recognize that armor and helmets. This is based off the 300 movie series." Sean said.
"I don't follow." Maw said confused.
"Common knowledge to us ever action no matter how big or small creates a new universe. In this case this universe was created from a movie series known as 300." Sean said pulling up the photo. "Inspired by true events during the Greek Persian war but with some more exciting elements added to the mix." Sean said.
"And now its been created as a universe with these events being real." Maw said.
"Yes. This isn't the first time we found a universe like this. Last universe we went to before our alliance we encountered another Universe based on another movie series called Terminator. It's how Frax created those giant machines like Cyber Zilla." Sean said.
"Well what in the hell could Vilgax want with this universe? I know this series theres nothing valuable there and if he's trying to recruit an army all it would take is Superman alone to take them out." Talbot said.
"An army is not the only thing Vilgax would gain from this universe. He would also gain finances." Sean said.
"Oh?" Maw asked.
"The Persian Empire was loaded back then. There was enough Gold to buy thousands of ships." Sean said.
"So Vilgax strikes a deal with Xerxes..." Talbot said.
"I don't think he struck a deal with him." Maw said showing Vilgax kill the Persian emperor and taking command of his empire.
"Ok so he takes his empire for his own and attacks his only enemy the Greeks since they clearly are the biggest threat." Sean said.
"How so?" Maw asked.
"In the series the Greeks despite being heavily outnumbered won their battles until the remaining warriors Leonidas had were betrayed but it was their sacrifice that united all of Greece." Sean said.
"But since the events are now completely different that didn't happen." Talbot said.
"We're wasting time debating this. Prepare the fleet." Lane said.
"Right." Sean said.
In the 300 Universe
Leonidas and his army fought against the Regime soliders but were overmatched and outnumbered by millions. When this war first started his men were doing fine but now though since the Regime arrived things took a turn for the worse.
"HOLD THE LINE!" Captain Artemis yelled as they used their shields to hold them back.
Watching the Greeks from a distance was the Revived Red Skull who chuckled in amusement.
"Noble Spartans. But foolish. You cannot hope to stop us." Red Skull said before a massive portal opened above them.
"Now what?" Leonidas asked before Thanos's flagship came through.
"WHAT!" Red skull yelled before the ship started to assault the Regime giving them no choice but to fall back.
"What is this?" Artemis asked.
"I believe we have new allies." Leonidas said before a portal opened up and Sean and Thanos walked through.
"Leonidas?" Sean said.
"Yes." Leonidas said.
"We need to talk." Sean said.
Later
"So this Regime is the source of our new problems." Leonidas said with his Captain and Wife with him.
"Regretfully so. We've been dealing with the Regime for years now. Thanos and I have agreed to put aside our differences for the greater good." Sean said.
"But attack our universe? What do they gain?" Gorgo asked.
"Being honest. Finances. It takes money to run a group like theirs and ours. And Persia is loaded in this universe. Thats why they came and killed Xerxes to take what he has. And now his empire has allied with theirs." Sean said.
"What do you want us to do?" Artemis asked.
"Nothing. Listen I'm not trying to be insulting when I say this but you people are way out of your league. These people have gone planet by planet destroying thousands both in this and others universes. And you guys barley managed to hold them till we arrived." Sean said making Leonidas laugh.
"True we may be outmatched BUT...No spartan is afraid of death my friend. If you are against the Regime...Sparta fights beside you." Leonidas said making him smirk.
"Ok...But we're gonna need all of Greece to win this. Unity wins war." Sean said.
"You sound a lot like Themistokles." Gorgo said making him chuckle.
"We'll see about that." Sean said.
Later
Themistokles and his men were out on the sea trying to hold off the Regime.
"Attack!" Themistokles yelled as the Persian ships were about to attack them when a stream of blue fire erupted from below destroying the flag ship.
"Now what?" Calisto asked before something appeared from the ocean revealing it to be Godzilla who roared into the air.
"The Kraken!" Scyllas yelled.
"No. This is something else." Themistokles said as the spikes on Godzilla glowed before unleashing a stream of atomic breath on the Persian ships destroying them making the Athenians cheer for their new ally.
"Charge!" Themistokles yelled.
"That won't be necessary."
Themistokles turned and saw Leonidas with Sean.
"Leonidas? Who is this?" Themistokles asked.
"An ally. You wanted a united Greece? Heres your chance." Leonidas said.
later
"So thats where these forces came from." Themistokles said.
"We're here to liberate this universe and stop the Regime." Sean said.
"If we're gonna weaken the Regime here we need to damage their leadership. Artemisia is their commander." Themistokles said.
"Taking her out will weaken the chain of command in this universe thats true but we need to sent a bigger message." Sean said.
"Perhaps attacking their main base will send the message this universe doesn't belong to them." Leonidas said.
"I agree." Sean said.
"Ready the men. We end this today." Themistokles said.
Hours later
Both the Greeks and the Legion and Thanos's army attacked the Regime's main base with everything they had.
Currently right now Artemisia was speaking with Vilgax in hologram form.
"The Legion and the Greeks have completely overrun our entire base. We will not last much longer." Artemisia said.
"Disappointing. However we have exactly what we need so this universe no longer matters. Take whoever is left and return to command. Our other universes are far more promising." Vilgax said.
"And what of the Greeks? We had a deal." Artemisia said.
"In time. But for now we must withdraw from this universe. We have bigger plans to achieve." Vilgax said ending his transmission.
Suddenly the door was sliced open making her turn and saw Sean and Leonidas.
"Ah Kruger. I was expecting someone of your status to be a little bit...Older." Artemisia said.
"Was that an insult?" Sean asked Leonidas.
"I would imagine so." Leonidas said.
"You wouldn't side with greeks if you knew what they were capable of." Artemisia said.
"I know all about your past. You entire family was raped and murdered right in front of you as a child. And then you were brought to a slave ship for a few years before you were dumped on the streets were a Persian emissary found you and took you to Persia. Then you trained with the best till you became what you are." Sean said making her raise an eyebrow.
"How do you know all that?" Artemisia asked making him chuckle.
"Ever hear of the theory every action creates a universe? In our case your entire universe is based off a movie series. Thats how I know everything about you, Leonidas and everyone else. Nevertheless you can't judge an entire nation for the actions of a few. If you were talking about an entire planet however that would be a different story." Sean said remembering how he dealt with slaver and criminal planets after the Legion was formed. Artemisia just scoffed at this.
"I will see all of Greece burn...Oh one more thing...Frost sends her regards." Artemisia said pulling out a device before throwing it at them before rushing through a portal.
"MOVE!" Sean yelled as they rushed out of the base before it blew up.
Later
"Well, that was short." Lane said.
"They've only been here for a couple weeks. They didn't have time to set up more than one base. Besides they got what they needed from this universe." Sean said.
"More troops and now an increase in their finances." Maw said.
"What about the other universes?" Leonidas asked.
"We'll deal with them later. Right now lets get this place secured. I have very little doubt Artemisia will hold back any attempts to claim this universe." Sean said.
Later
Maw was going over everything the Regime has done since Vilgax took over.
"Something wrong?" Sean asked walking to him.
"I'm not sure. Ever since Vilgax took over the Regime and molded it to his needs his actions seem...Random. He had Frax take the original Zilla's dead body and then built it as a cyborg. Then took those Kyber Crystals." Maw said.
"He didn't even use all of them on those machines." Sean said.
"I know. What if he's trying to distract us to keep us busy from finding his true intentions." Maw said.
"You mean his distracting us from his real plans?" Sean asked.
"Its possible. Vilgax is one of the universes most powerful beings for a reason. Whatever he's doing will effect the universe in any way he sees fit." Maw said.
"Hmm." Sean said in thought.
Meanwhile
"While we lost a universe it does not effect our plans. With the amount of gold we've retrieved we can buy the necessary parts." Vilgax said to his Regime members.
"It's gonna take at least a year or 2 before this thing is finished." MODOK said.
"No matter. By the time the Legion and Thanos learn of our plans it will already be to late." Vilgax said.
Authors Note: Yeah I know not exactly a long chapter compared to the others but honestly this was more of adding more troops to the Legion and the Regime. Besides there was nothing really that amazing in this series that I could write about.
