Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 40
Konoha council chambers (4 days after Naruto left to Kiri): with Jiraya and Sasuke
"You fucking failure" Homura shouted at Jiraya as he and the other council members and clan heads looked at him "not only did you not find Princess Tsunade, but you also made contact with the nine and seven tails jinchuriki and let them slip away".
Jiraya looked towards the old man with a scowl "watch your damn mouth old man" Jiraya said dangerously "I had to fight not only Naruto but also two S-ranked missing ninja, the two tails jinchuriki and Kurenai Yuhi". "I'd like to see you in a fight with them and then you can tell me how easy it'll be" Jiraya said.
"Along with that young Sasuke here was injured, which is unacceptable" Koharu said looking at Sasuke; Sasuke had his damaged eye covered with a bandage but his one good eye was looking at Koharu in contempt.
"I'm not some damn weakling you old hag" Sasuke said to Koharu making her take a step back "I fought and mortally wounded a jinchuriki; the only reason I'm hurt is because of that traitor Sakura".
"And yet you got injured by a mere civilian" Hiashi said as he sat in his chair "seems the Uchiha were overrated after all".
"That's funny" Sasuke said looking at Hiashi "coming from the man missing an arm and his dick; how's taking a piss Hyuga, I bet it's a pain in the ass". Hiashi was now fuming when a hand smelled down.
"Enough" Danzo roared silencing everyone "we're getting no where arguing with each other"; everyone looked at Danzo who composed himself. "Since Lady Tsunade did not return we still don't have a Hokage" Danzo said "I hereby as the only viable candidate request the council to elect me".
Jiraya scowled until several people started standing up; Koharu, Homura, Hiashi, Tsume, Inoichi, Choza and the civilians all stood up showing their favor. However Shikaku Nara and Shibi Aburame stayed in place.
"I don't agree" Shikaku said looking at Danzo "your record has been shady as long as I can remember; I think we should have Lord Jiraya as our next Hokage".
"I agree" Shibi said standing up "along with that Konoha hasn't been working to better itself or make any kind solutions to our problems". "Unless you have all forgotten I have filed multiple complaints against the treatment of Naruto Uzumaki; but sadly due to Lord Thirds decree I was unable to intervene under the punishment of death" Shibi said and Tsume looked at him.
"What are you some kind of demon lover" Tsume asked in a growl and Shibi looked at her.
"In my eyes he's no different than an Aburame who holds insects inside himself" Shibi said making several of the others scowl "he attacked us because he hates us… and I don't blame him". Shibi turned and began to walk out of the chamber but before he did he turned and spoke once more "we should forget about the two jinchuriki and focus on rebuilding; otherwise I only see destruction in our future"; Shibi walked out and Shikaku looked as he left.
"You voices have been heard; but the votes are against you" Danzo said as he stood up "I, Danzo Shimura; will gladly take my place as the fifth Hokage".
Meanwhile; Kiri Docks: With Naruto, Kakuzu, Hinata, Haku, Tsunade and Fubuki
Naruto and the others all walked down the stairs from the ship and onto the docks of Kiri; Naruto and the others looked around and saw the docks and the village in the back ground were being rebuilt.
Naruto looked around in all directions and saw both ninja and dock worker but none seemed to be hostile "huh" Naruto said "I half expected us to get ambushed on the docks".
"Same here" Kakuzu said looking around "Kiri… has a different atmosphere then the last time I was here; although that was seventy years and two wars ago".
"You both are being paranoid" Tsunade said gaining their attention "you are traveling with me; a sanin who has diplomatic immunity and visas to every country on the continent". "Not to mention Fubuki who is a foreign ninja of a neutral nation" Tsunade said "I'm sure they won't want another war to happen after they just finished their civil war".
"She's right" Hinata said from behind her helmet "we should be fine".
"Ok fine" Naruto said "lets just go and turn over Zabuza's body"; Naruto began to walk across the dock with the other following behind him and when they reached the exit they were met by a Kiri ninja.
"Welcome to Kiri; state your business" the ninja said and Haku and Fubuki stepped forward.
"I am here to return the body of Zabuza Momochi and his sword for proper burial and payment" Haku said making the ninja go wide eyed.
"And I am here to establish diplomatic relations between the land of snow and Kiri" Fubuki siad raising up a scroll.
"Oh wow; I didn't know" the ninja said "ok them umm….can I please get your medical record and passports"; Naruto and Kakuzu both went wide eyed at this and saw Tsunade, Fubuki, Hinata and Haku pull out their documents and hand them to the ninja. "Umm… gentlemen, your paperwork" he said.
Kakuzu and Naruto looked at the man like deer in headlights; Kakuzu was 89 years old and a S-class rogue ninja, meanwhile Naruto hasn't had any documentation on his since before he left Konoha. They both had fake I.D's but they did not have any medical records of any kind.
"Umm…" Naruto said with a chuckle "we umm….don't have any medical records"; the ninja nodded and looked over to an intercom and pressed a button.
"We have a code yellow; decontamination and delousing" the ninja said and both Naruto and Kakuzu went wide eyed.
……
Naruto and Kakuzu were both naked and standing against wall in a room covering their private parts as Hinata, Haku, Tsunade and Fubuki watched with various expressions. Hinata was trying not to look, Tsunade and Fubuki were both chuckling and Haku was annoyed that they had to go through this.
"Ok then" the Kiri ninja said as he and 2 of his buddies walked up "hold still"; the ninja pointed a water hose at them and shot a stream of cold water at them.
"Gah, cold" Naruto shouted as he was hit; Kakuzu was hit by the water and groaned.
'Damn it; it's like that time I went to prison in Hozuki Castle' Kakuzu thought as the Kiri ninja cut off the water; Naruto and Kakuzu were both soaking wet and the ninja spoke.
"Ok, hit them with the powder" he said and another ninja walked up carrying a bucket of powder; the ninja took out a scooper and took out a large amount of white powder. The ninja threw it at Naruto hitting him before doing the same to Kakuzu.
"Uh what's with the powder" Naruto asked and Kakuzu spoke.
"It's to de-louse us" Kakuzu said "they did it to me when I went to prison".
"Ok final step" the ninja said "turn sideways please"; Naruto and Kakuzu both turned to the left and a final ninja with medical marking walked up.
"I'm going to give you both a penicillin shot" the ninja said as he went to one knee and took out a wet wipe and began to wipe a part of Naruto's butt cheek.
"Hey why are you-OWW" Naruto shouted as the ninja stuck him with the needle and injected him "oh my got that hurt like hell".
"Stop complaining" Tsunade said from across the room "i had to do that to my dumbass teammate who got 'the clap' back in Ame"; Tsunade remember when Jiraya came to her and she still chuckled at the memory. 'Naruto doesn't even want to know how I tested him' Tsunade thought as Jiraya screamed like a girl during the 'swabbing'.
The ninja went to Kakuzu and gave him his shot next and Kakuzu grunted as the shot was inserted; after the ninja was done he walked back and the first ninja spoke.
"Ok you two; you are good to go" he said as he handed both Naruto and Kakuzu a towel to dry off "dry off and get dressed".
Naruto looked to Hinata and the others "umm can you turn around" he asked a little embarrassed; Hinata and Haku turned around but Tsunade and Fubuki didn't "Please".
"Fine" Tsunade said as she and Fubuki turned around and began to chuckle "did you see his face".
"Priceless" Fubuki said; Naruto could here both of their chuckling as he and Kakuzu dried themselves off.
"Jerks" Naruto said as he had a blush on his face.
……
Naruto and the others exited the customs station and walked out into the streets of Kiri; Naruto was red in the face as he walked ahead of everyone.
"That was bullshit" Naruto said as he looked towards Tsunade and the others "that has to be a human rights violation of some kind; and why the hell did they keep you in the room with us".
"They keep groups together at all times" Tsunade said "don't be embarrassed; you don't have anything I haven't seen before".
"You've seen a kid with stitched all along his body from his face to his feet" Naruto asked sarcastically.
"Actually yes" Tsunade said making both Naruto and Kakuzu look at her wide eyed "land mine, Ame, Second Shinobi World War; a chunin stepped on a mine and got blown the hell up". "Lost a leg but I was able to save him; required two hundred stitches for multiple wounds" Tsunade said.
Naruto nodded his head impressed "huh what do you know" Naruto said as he continued walking "I have four hundred stitches; and I get more the more I grow".
"I have six hundred and fifty" Kakuzu said as he walked alongside Naruto "lets get to the Mizukage tower and drop off Zabuza; I don't want to be in this village longer than I have to".
(1 hour later) Mizukage tower: With Tsunade and the others
Tsunade was sitting with her legs crossed in a chair next to Kakuzu while Hinata, Haku and Fubuki played a card game; so far they have been waiting for 45 minutes for the Mizukage.
Tsunade was annoyed but she understood as they were asking to meet with the most important person in the village 'wonder who the new Mizukage is' she thought as she hasn't heard anything about them.
A few minutes later Naruto came back from around the corner "wow you guys should check out the restroom; the urinals flush themselves" he said and Tsunade and Kakuzu rolled their eyes.
"What took you so long brat" Kakuzu asked "you were gone for nearly ten minutes".
"You wont believe it" Naruto said as he sat down "I ran into a super model on my way back from the restroom"; everyone looked to Naruto with looks of confusion. "No kidding; she was trying to get something out of a vending machine but it got stuck" Naruto said before he raised his hand and extended one of his fingers controlling it with his threads "but I got it out; she said 'you're such a sweet heart' and smiled at me".
"Yeah right" Fubuki said believing the story "there's no way a super model would be inside the Mizukage building"; a few seconds later a Kiri ninja wearing an eyepatch walked up.
"My name is Ao" the one eyed man said "the Mizukage will see you now"; Naruto and the others got up and followed Ao.
"Hey dude; how did you lose the eye" Naruto asked and Haku smacked him on the back of the head.
"Naruto; how rude" Haku said chastising him.
"No it's ok" Ao said "i lost it in the last war"; Ao then raised his eye patch revealing a Byakugan making Hinata gasp.
"Is that a Byakugan" Hinata asked and Ao nodded.
"Sharp eye miss" Ao said as he lowed his eye patch "I acquired this eye from a Hyuga who I killed in the last war"; Hinata felt a chill at this as he had plucked the eye from one of her former clans members.
Ao led the group for a few minutes up some stairs before reaching a pair of large wooden doors "I have brought you the group that wished to see you Lady Mei" he said.
Naruto and the others filled in the room and all were surprised to see who was siting behind the desk; there was a beautiful young woman with white unblemished skin, green eyes with long auburn hair covering one of them and a large bust that was barely contained in her blue dress.
Naruto's dropped and he pointed at the woman "it's her; the super model I helped earlier" Naruto said and the woman waved at him.
"Hello again" she said with a bright smile "and thanks again for your assistance; I couldn't have gotten my chips without you".
Ao turned to Naruto and shouted "hold your tongue boy" he shouted at Naruto who flinched "that is Mei Terumi; the fifth Mizukage and you will show her the respe-". Ao stopped halfway through as he felt a hand touch his shoulder; Ao turned and saw Mei with a smile and a frightening aura emanating from her.
"Ao" Mei said sweetly "shut up… or I'll kill you"; Ao paled at this and Mei shoo'd him away and walked over to Naruto. "Sorry about that; Ao here is a little uptight with regulations" Mei said with a smile which made Naruto blush slightly "please come in and take a seat".
Mei walked back to her desk with Naruto and the others following her; Mei sat down in her chair while Naruto, Haku and Fubuki sat down across from her with Kakuzu, Tsunade and Hinata standing behind them.
"So how can I help you; I was told by my customs officer that you have an important package for me, but he couldn't disclose it" Mei asked and Haku stood up. Haku pulled out a scroll and opened it and with a puff of smoke Zabuza's sword appeared and both Mei and Ao went wide eyed "t-that's the executioners blade; it belong to Zabuza" she said.
Haku nodded as she picked it up and placed it in front of Mei and got a sad face "Zabuza Momochi has fallen in battle" Haku said with a hitch in her voice "I am Haku, his apprentice; and I wish to return both his sword and body for proper burial". Mei looked to Ao and nodded.
Ao made a hand sign and as soon as he did a seal appeared on the ceiling and Ao spoke "privacy barrier is up lady Mizukage" he said.
Mei looked to Haku and spoke "what happened; how did he die" she asked and Naruto stood up and began to speak.
"It's a long story" Naruto said as he pulled down his mask revealing his face to Mei who was shocked by his stitches "let me go back a few years". Naruto spent the next hour explaining everything; how he and Kakuzu invited Zabuza to join them after the mission to wave, how Zabuza helped in the invasion of Konoha and how Zabuza died fighting the Akatsuki member Kisame.
By the end of the story Mei had her hands folded in front of her face with a scowl "Kami above" she said "so these Akatsuki are hunting down the Jinchuriki and any Biju that are free".
"Yes Lady Mizukage" Naruto said "they tried to take me and Fu but they failed".
"And you said Fu is your girlfriend" Mei said but just them both Haku and Fubuki cleared their throats and Mei looked at them.
"Not just her" Haku said "I'm also in a relationship with Naruto".
"I'm trying to convince him to let me join as well" Fubuki said "I think I'm getting close though"; Naruto blushed at this and Hinata behind her helmet blushed as she began to poke her fingers.
"And is I may ask how do you fit in this" Mei asked Hinata who flinched and began to fidget a little.
"Hinata, you can take off your helmet" Naruto said and Hinata looked at him nervously before nodding.
"O-ok" Hinata said as she took off her helmet and Mei was floored once again as she saw Hinata's face and eyes "m-my name is Hinata Hyuga; former heiress of the Hyuga clan".
"Wait you have a Hyuga in your group; and an unmarked one at that, how did this happen" Mei asked alarmed at this as she never expected a main branch Hyuga to desert her village.
"You see this stitches" Naruto said pointing at his face and Mei nodded "her clan did this to me for containing the fox and being her friend; I almost died until Kakuzu here sewed me back together". Mei looked at Naruto with anger plastered across her face "when we met earlier this year I showed her I was alive and she decided to stay with me" he said "her family basically abandoned her; her dad is a prick and her sister looks doesn't care about her".
Mei looked at Hinata and had a look of pity and understanding "I know how you feel; being alone" she said and Hinata smiled; Mei then looked to Naruto and spoke "and I know how you feel as well". "I have two kekkei genkai; Lava release and Boil release" Mei said "I know what's it's like to be hated and discriminated against; I survived the massacres against the bloodline users".
"As have I" Haku said gaining Mei's attention "I used be be from northern Kiri before Zabuza found me; my father killed my mother and tried to kill me".
"Sounds like you've all had it rough" Mei said and Kakuzu spoke up.
"You don't even know the half of it" Kakuzu said "we also have Fu who was almost taken to Konoha to replace Naruto, two Uzumaki women who were used for their healing abilities and another Konoha kunoichi who was sexually assaulted by her fellow ninja".
Mei took in a deep breath and nodded "just when I thought the world couldn't get anymore cruel" she said; Mei looked to Haku and spoke "I will ensure Zabuza gets a proper burial and I appreciate you returning his sword".
"Thank you Lady Mizukage" Haku said with a bow "and may I ask that we get the reward of his bounty; we need the money". Mei raised and eyebrow at this and spoke.
"What for" Mei asked and Naruto chuckled.
"Umm… I kinda owe a crime boss sixteen billion Ryo; for destroying his hotel" Naruto said and Mei's jaw dropped "I need the one and a half billion for his body and sword to pay him off". "I also said that I could try to convince you to open up your ports and allow him to build some hotels and casino's here" Naruto said "if I'm able to do that then he'd forgive half my debt"; upon hearing this Mei folded her hands in front of her.
"Hotels and casino's huh" Mei said with a smirk before leaning forward "how interesting"; Ao walked over and made a gesture for Mei to come closer. Mei leaned in and Ao whispered in her ear.
"If we allow that to happen our economy will recover a lot faster" Ao said and Mei nodded "if we do this we need to ensure that no drugs, human trafficking or other kinds of crime comes here".
Mei nodded and spoke to Naruto "lets say if I do allow this; will there be any drugs or crime coming here" she asked "after all as Mizukage I cannot allow such things to happen in my village; especially after a civil war".
"I personally would say no" Naruto said "but you'd need to talk to my contact about that"; Naruto reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. "You can reach him here" Naruto said as he handed the card to Mei who read it.
'Gato's shipping incorporated' Mei read before looking at Naruto "I will think about it".
"That's all I ask" Naruto said although he wished Mei had said yes right off the bat.
"And that just leaves me" Fubuki said as she pulled out a scroll and handed it to Mei "my lord Doto wishes to sign a nonaggression pact with you and a trade agreement between our two countries". "After all two black sheep need to stick together" Fubuki said and Mei nodded.
"Understandable" Mei said "we just got done fighting a bloody civil war marked by ethnic violence and your country overthrew it's former government". "No body want to deal with countries with… troubled histories" Mei said.
"Alright cool" Naruto said clapping his hands "Zabuza will be put to rest, Gato might get his money back and the land of snow has a new ally". "This went a lot better than I thought it would go" Naruto said but before he could celebrate Mei stopped him.
"Wait, before you go; I have a request" Mei asked and Naruto stopped.
"Sure; what is it" Naruto asked and Mei spoke.
"You said the Akatsuki are hunting down the tailed beast correct" Mei asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah they are; why" Naruto asked and Mei got up and looked out the window.
"Kiri's jinchuriki Utakata is missing; he deserted at the beginning of the war and hasn't been seen since" Mei said and Naruto and the others went wide eyed "and along with that the last jinchuriki of the three tails, the fourth Mizukage Yagura was killed and his Biju is missing". "So I have a proposition for you" Mei said and Kakuzu raised and eyebrow.
"And that would be" Kakuzu asked and Mei looked at them.
"I wish for Naruto to go and find Utakata and bring him back to Kiri for protection" Mei said and Naruto sent wide eyed "or at the very least warn him of the Akatsuki". "Then after that find the location of the three tails and bring me back the location so we can protect it" Mei said.
"Wait, why me" Naruto asked and Mei spoke.
"A jinchuriki would be the best option to convince another jinchuriki" Mei said and Naruto realized what she was getting at "you can relate to each other and it will probably not end with the two of you killing each other".
"I see" Naruto said "ok then; I guess I can go with Tsunade, Hinata, Haku and Fubuki to look for this Utakata guy". "Hey Kakuzu; how do you feel looking for the three tails by yourself" Naruto asked and Kakuzu looked at him.
"I work faster alone" Kakuzu said before looking at Mei "just give me a general location and I can find it".
"I'll stay here and tend to Zabuza's funeral" Haku said to Naruto "it's something I need to do myself"; Naruto hearing this nodded and he spoke
"I understand Haku; me, Tsunade, Hinata and Fubuki can handle it just fine" Naruto said before looking at Mei "Ok we're in; but what's our payment, no offense but we don't work for free".
Mei smirked and nodded "of course not" Mei said "I'll pay off half of your debt to this Gato personally"; Naruto went wide eyed at this and Mei continued. "I amassed quite a fortune over the years and got even more from defeating Yagura; I can afford to pay you… eight billion Ryo" Mei said.
"Holy shit" Tsunade said surprised as she never expected Mei to have that much "when those casino's open up we are going gambling".
Mei smiled and "sure thing; and when we do open them up I'm going to make sure I take a cut of the profits" she said and Hinata spoke up.
"Umm isn't that taking kick backs" Hinata said "that's very immoral and wrong; and as a leader of a village you shouldn't be doing that"; Mei looked at Hinata for a few seconds before she began to laugh hysterically.
"Oh my god are you serious; you really expect me, a politician to not make money under the table while I'm in office" Mei laughed and Naruto, Kakuzu and Tsunade began to laugh as well.
"Wow Hinata; and I thought you were smart" Tsunade said patting her shoulder making her jaw drop.
"Welcome to the real world brat" Kakuzu said chuckling at her naivety.
"Hinata, there is no such thing as an honest politician" Naruto said laughing "you have a better chance finding a unicorn in the woods"; Hinata was appalled that Naruto and the others didn't even care that Mei was going to use her position as Mizukage for personal profit.
After a few minutes the laughter died down and Naruto looked to Mei "ok Mei, you have a deal" he said "one jinchuriki and one biju coming up".
