I couldn't help but be a bit surprised by the question. Did I really want to go out with a guy when just a week ago I was one? What was the worst that could happen? At least it was a guy that I kind of knew.

"Well…" I stammered with a pause as before I noticed the smile on Trent's face. "Sure."

I couldn't help but notice a look of surprise on Max's face. She was probably shocked that I said yes. I was a little surprised that I said. Though, there probably wasn't a better way to determine if I liked guys than to actually go out on a date with one. Again, what was the worst that could happen?

"You know I have a few friends, maybe we could do a group thing." Trent suggested.

"I'll pass." Max replied. Like I said, I didn't think she even liked guys.

"And I'm only in town until tomorrow." Miley added. "Plus, I kind of have a boyfriend at home."

At that point, I noticed the manager looking over at us, probably specifically Trent since he worked there.

"I have to get back to work. How's Wednesday sound?" He asked.

"Wednesday would be good." I agreed. I just hoped that I would still want to do it by then.

"So, you have a boyfriend." Max remarked, looking at Miley. "What's his name and does he know?"

"Oliver." Miley answered. "And yes, he knows. He was one of the first people I told. I had to tell him because he was kind of stalking me."

"And you're dating him why?" I questioned. I didn't understand why anyone would go out with their stalker.

"He stopped." Miley declared. That still didn't seem like a good reason to date him. "We've actually been friends for a long time. He just kind of loses his cool around celebrities but we're working on that. He's almost over his Taylor Swift obsession. So do you have a boyfriend?"

"No, I haven't been on a date in a long time." Max replied. I didn't know if she had ever been on a date in this new reality. It was possible that we had been on double dates before. I probably should talk to her about how I think she might be gay, but I didn't know how to do that without sounding weird.

"So, you don't sound like you're from California." I remarked. Of course, I only had a really faint Boston accent myself. "Where are you really from?"

"Tennessee." Miley answered. "I guess wherever I go, I'll always be a southern girl."

"So, what did you think about the ball last night?" I asked.

"I thought it was a pretty nice party." Miley responded as she had a sip of her shake. "It's not something I would want to do. No offense."

"Oh, it's not something I want to do either." Max replied. "It's just my parents want me to do it. If all goes according to plan, I won't become a debutante."

"And she dragged me along." I added, though I might not mind doing it again.

"Okay then I guess neither of you have any reason to be offended then." Miley responded. "You know if you ever wanted to make a career as a music star, I could drop your name in an interview."

"Thanks, but no thanks." I declined. "I think I should do it on my own. I already have the legacy thing going for me and I don't need any more help."

Plus, there the fact that I had more YouTube subscribers than she did, but I didn't think labels were really pushing that for artists.

"I respect that too. Oliver doesn't want my help either." She explained. "Maybe you two should come to Malibu some time and we can hang out more. So, what do you do for fun around here?"

For the second night in a row, we got done kind of late. We ended going to a Sox game that we couldn't even stay for because it went into extras. Miley had gotten a free room at the St. Mark in exchange for performing. It was around 10:00 when I finally got home.

There weren't very many people in that many people in the lobby when we got done. It was just Maddie, the girl I had a crush on. I didn't know if I still had a crush on her. We hadn't actually talked since I was turned into a girl.

"Hey, Maddie" I greeted her. I had to resist the urge to call her Sweet Thang because I was pretty sure that would sound weird. "How's it going?"

"Hey, Zoey, I'm just closing up." Maddie declared. "I didn't get the chance to tell you this last night, but I saw walk in when you got home. You looked really pretty."

"Thanks." I answered with a blush.

"No problem." Maddie said. "So how did you like it?"

"It was kind of fun. But don't tell London that I danced with her boyfriend." I told her. Was she still in contact with London? I couldn't keep track to be honest.

"How did that happen?" Maddie asked.

"Well, I was standing still like I was supposed to, and Todd came up to me. I didn't really want to say no to him since it was just a dance." I explained with a blush. I didn't know why I was blushing. It wasn't like I did anything wrong.

"So, I guess you're over your crush on him then." She replied.

"Yeah…" I lied. I couldn't believe that I would ever have a crush on him.

"It's still not as bad as when you were crushing on Esteban." She pointed out. What? Why?

"Can we stop talking about this?" I questioned. I was pretty sure that my face was a shade of red that didn't previously exist.

"You know I'm only saying this because you're like a sister to me." She declared. I supposed that it made sense that our relationship was like that. I could see myself possibly idolizing Maddie, who looked even prettier after her nose job. "Wow we've been talking for a while. I should probably get going and you should probably go to bed."

"Maddie, I'm almost 18." I pointed out. I mean it was a few months away, but it was still true.

"Yeah, I know. I've just watched you go up." The college student declared. "It seems like only yesterday I was taking you to buy your first bras."

At that point, I figured that I needed to leave this conversation because I was getting uncomfortably embarrassed.

"You're right. I should go to bed." I stated.

"Just remember that you were lucky to go." Maddie said as she grabbed her purse. "There are millions of people that would give anything for that. If tried something like when I was your age, I would have been thrown out, probably literally."

"Good night, Maddie." I told her.

"Night Zoey." Maddie said before we went in opposite directions out of the lobby.

Once I was in the suite, I went to my bedroom and put on my pajamas and started to wipe my makeup off. No sooner than I was dressed was there a knock on the door.

"Come in." I invited. At that point, Dad walked into the room.

"Hey." He greeted.

"Hi Daddy." I retorted. I couldn't believe that I called him that, but it kind of felt right.

"You haven't been home much the past few days." He noted.

"Yeah, Miley was only in town for today. We wanted to do something with her." I responded. "Did you catch who won the game by the way?"

"Sox in 10." He answered. "Listen I was thinking maybe tomorrow if you don't have plans, you could stay in. I know you're young and want to spend time with friends, but you do need to be with your family some."

I couldn't help but see the irony of being lectured on family by someone who I had known as someone who had run out on his family.

"Okay but I have a date on Wednesday." I agreed.

"Are you considering a second date or this going to another of your one and done things?" He asked. I blushed. I couldn't believe that he said it like that. I was pretty sure that realized that was crossing a line because he immediately followed it with "I probably shouldn't have said that."

"Daddy, it's just hard for me to find good guys." I lied.

"Okay, we can stop discussing boys now." He remarked. He seemed a little bit uncomfortable about it too. "You should probably sleep."

"Night daddy." I declared before giving him a hug.

"Good night, Princess." He reciprocated before he left, and I went to sleep.

On Wednesday night after cheerleading practice, Max was in my room helping me prepare for my date. She was currently working on my makeup.

"So how do you know Trent anyway?" She asked.

"He was on Arwin's basketball team with me, Cody, and Bob. Remember when you went on vacation during the signups and weren't allowed to play?" I asked. We definitely weren't as good without her.

"Yeah, I remember." She stated. I also remembered how angry she was at the rec league after that. "So, why'd you say yes?"

"I don't know. I guess I kind of wanted to see what it would be like dating a guy." I admitted as I brushed my hair. I was wearing a dark blue halter top and a denim miniskirt. "Does that make any sense to you?"

"I guess it does." She replied. I wasn't sure if it did or not. "You're really starting to accept this being a girl thing."

"Well, I figured out I might as well enjoy it. I do want to change back but that doesn't look like it's happening anytime soon." I pointed out. I hoped that I never got to a point where I didn't want to change back.

"I guess you're right." She agreed. "I just hope you know what you're getting into."

"You're not jealous, are you?" I questioned. I considered that she liked me and her not liking guys wouldn't be a problem anymore.

"Jealous? Why would I be jealous?" She asked with a blush. "It's not like I like you like that."

It seemed like I caught her off-guard a little and maybe even a little bit of denial, but I didn't want to press it. I would still let her tell me on her own.

"I meant jealous because I have a date and you don't." I lied before giggling a little at her reaction.

"Oh that, I'm still not jealous" She answered quickly. "If there were any guys that I wanted to date right now, I would. But there really isn't a single guy at Cheevers that I would consider dating right now."

That seemed like something that a lesbian would say. I thought about asking her if there were any girls that she wanted to date at our school, but I realized that I probably shouldn't do that.

"Alright I kind of feel the same way actually. Trent doesn't go to our school. I don't know where this thing is going to go anyway." I explained. The good news was if the date went badly, I wouldn't have to see him anymore. "This really is just a trial for me. Why does the only decent guy at school have to be my brother? It's really kind of unfair."

"Yeah, and even if he wasn't your brother, he's taken anyway." Max agreed with a laugh.

"So, I guess you can wish me luck." I stated before I left the room.

We were going to meet in the lobby to go to the hotel restaurant. It was a place that I would still feel comfortable. I then walked over to Mr. Moseby. It was going to be the first time that I talked to him since I was changed as well.

"Hey, Mr. Moseby." I greeted him.

"What can I do for you, Zoey?" Moseby asked with absolutely no malice in his voice. He didn't seem to hate me at all.

"I was wondering if a boy came in looking for me." I replied.

"Well, there was a boy saying that his date told him to meet him in the restaurant." Moseby said. "Would that be him?"

"Yeah, I think that's him." I stated before I headed into the restaurant.

Trent was seated at a table. After I got there, I couldn't help but hear Patrick the waiter say that I was out of his league, which was ironic because it was the same thing that he said on my date with Max and She's Out of My League was also the name of the movie that we were going to be seeing.

"So, what are you thinking right now?" I asked him.

"I'm just wondering how I managed to score a date with such an amazingly beautiful girl." Trent replied which made me blush.

"I'm not amazingly beautiful." I declared. I didn't like someone talking about me like that.

"But you are. You may not have the best body but you're very pretty." He complimented.

After we finished eating, we left the Tipton and headed to the movie theater. Since the movie was rated R, we both had to show our IDs at the box office before we headed to the movie. I had to admit that it was pretty funny. I had seen the trailer when I went with Max. I couldn't believe that I was having such a good time. Maybe going out with guys wouldn't be as bad as I thought it would.

After the movie was over, Trent took me back to the hotel. I wasn't going to let him take me past the lobby though.

"So, what did you think?" He asked.

"It was good." I answered.

"Listen I've heard a few things about you like how you rarely go on second dates." He declared. Okay, this was making me nervous. I hated that I had this reputation. Also, who had told him such a thing?

"Yeah…" I stammered. I was pretty sure that he was going to ask me on a second date.

"I was wondering if maybe you could make an exception." Trent said with a smile. "I've got an extra ticket the Celtics playoff game on Saturday."

"Sure, in fact I need a date for my prom next weekend." I requested. I wasn't sure why I was asking him. I also couldn't help but wonder what people would think if I showed up with him. "Would you like to go with me?"

"I'd have to request off work, but I think I can do it." He agreed.

"Great, I should probably go back to my room." I replied before I started to walk away.

"Zoey, wait!" Trent called after me. I stopped and turned around to face him. "There's something I wanted to do first."

"What?" I asked before I felt another pair of lips pressed against mine. I didn't know what to do. I decided that I should just accept it as I closed my eyes and leaned into the kiss. Kissing eventually led to making out which led to me being pressed against the wall before I felt the need to breathe. Okay, that was a little more heated than I liked and I also felt a little uncomfortable.

"I really should go. I'll see you on Saturday." I stated as I wriggled away and walked back to my room. Max had gone home, so I would have to wait to tell her about it until later.

On Saturday, Trent took me to the TD Garden, the Celtics home arena. I wore a green dress and a white Celtics hat with green beads. We even watched as the Celtics defeated their rivals the Cavaliers with a last second buzzer beater by Kevin Garnett. It meant that we were only one win away from the NBA Finals. After the game, Trent took me back to his house and I was very nervous about this. I definitely didn't want to have sex with him.

"So, what are we doing here?" I asked nervously. I really hoped that he didn't have expectations for me. I would rather be a tease than someone who hooks up on the second date.

"I was just thinking we could have some alone time." He remarked as he pulled my hand inside.

"I'd rather not. I'm not that kind of girl." I replied as I tried to get free of his grasp.

"So, what kind of girl are you then?" He asked as I felt his hold on me tighten. This was turning into a nightmare real fast.

"You're hurting me." I told him. I had to get out of here. I wasn't sure how I was going to get home, but I had to get out. "Let go!"

I decided to use my free hand to slap him and while that did get him to let me go, it also made him look really angry. At that point, she shoved me into a table. My face got poked by the sharp corner. It was probably something that would result in a black eye. I didn't care what I had to get out. I threw a pillow at him and darted out the door.

So Zoey's first date went well. Unfortunately the second one did not. She's going to be okay though. We also got to see Maddie and Mr. Moseby for the first time. Please don't forget to review.
