"Ok sweetie one more time" said Dora who was standing in the garden with Iris. This was planted with fresh fruits and vegetables while the watering cans and the rest of the garden tools such as rakes and rakes controlled by magic took care of the garden and maintained it. All this thanks to Dora's magic, which gave her more time to teach Iris a new spell.
A levitation spell. Iris nodded and held her wand while looking from her grandmother to the five objects she was supposed to levitate. A Vase, a frame with Iris and Dora, an apple, a mug and Miss Meow Meow. "Levitato" Iris said as she waved her wand and the tip of it lit up purple. The five objects were surrounded by a purple aura and began to float above the ground. Miss Meow Meow, of course, was not thrilled by this and tried to run away but it didn't work.
She meowed and wanted to put down on the ground. Iris noticed this and let her down on the floor as well as the other objects. The aura disappeared around the cat that ran back into the house and around the four other objects. Dora clapped as Iris mastered the spell "Well done Iris!" she said, giving her granddaughter a pat on the shoulder. Iris blushed a little. "Oh wonderful Iris. Your magic is improving more day by day" yes that's right. Her magic has been getting better every day since she met the two cups. Both helped her to improve her magic. Since she is with them almost every day she has less problems with her magic not working or firing back as usual.
But since she met the Devil more so she needed to improve her magic. Yes, unfortunately, since the encounter with him at the carnival, not a day had passed in which she get a strange feeling that she was being watch, but look around every time but see no one she blames him for making her so paranoid. And it doesn't help that both ran into each other by chance when she's alone sometimes. Unfortunately, she still didn't know why he was so interested in her and wanted to take her to the underworld. She didn't really have anything special about her that would tempt him to take her along. Well, actually already since he knew that she was a Spark and was in training to become a good witch.
She suspected that he would like to bring her to the dark side, that she would become like Lucius Tale. And she did not want that. But fortunately she still wore the necklace around her neck that protected her. With this, he could not kidnap her and take her to the underworld.
"Ok time for your flying lesson" Iris heard this, nodded and went into the small shed where the rest of the garden tools and bags of potting soil and seeds were. In the shed was also her broom and that of her grandmother. It was a long brown broom that had an emblem of a dragon's head on the tip. The bristles were connected at the end of the broom with three blue ropes and took on a checkered shape. That it was not a normal house broom you could see.
It was a special flying broom that only witches and wizards could use. Anyone who didn't know magic would be thrown off the broom. But before Iris could sit on the broom, she went from the shed back to her grandma. The latter explained to her again what she had to do before she could sit down on the broom. "First, put the broom down on the floor next to you," Dora explained. Iris nodded and did as she said. "Then take your wand and point it at the broom" Iris followed the instruction and pointed her wand at the broom. Both the broom and the wand lit up.
Like a magnet, the broom landed in Iris's other hand. "Well now sit on it" Iris did and now sat on the broom. The broom floats slightly above the ground so that Iris's feet no longer touch the ground. So far, everything was still going as it should. Dora explained to her that she should fly with the broom a round over the house before she should land again in front of her. Iris nodded and flew up until she was above the roof and could look over the trees to see a view of the city. "Wow" she said to herself when she saw the view. But unfortunately she had to land again with the broom.
Or that she was going to but then she heard two surtain cups arguing. "I say we just take the money and buy some more ice cream" Iris recognized the voice immediately. She caught sight of the two cups. "Look, if we invest it, we could have as much ice cream as we want when we're older"Mugman explained, taking the matter in stride. His brother, however, had a different opinion. Iris heard this as she was descending to approach the two brothers. "But I want ice cream now!" Cuphead was visibly annoyed by this. You could see it in his face that he didn't want to wait any longer. "You don't have to be such a-" before Mugman could speak further he and his brother noticed a shadow above them. Both were confused and looked around from where the shadow came until they heard a familiar voice.
"Hey guys!" said the voice the two brothers knew. It was Iris. Both looked over themselves and saw Iris sitting on a broom and greeting the two. Both wanted to greet Iris too, but then they noticed something. "Iris! Look out for that..." the two shouted, which confused Iris until she looked from the two to the front where the two brothers pointed. While she was in conversation with the two brothers, her broom headed for a pine tree.
Fortunately, she was able to dodge them in time before she collided with her jaw and her broom, which she had received from her parents for her 16th birthday, broke. On the Inkwell Isle's, unfortunately, there was only one wizard family who knew a lot about brooms and could repair them. However, this also has its price. And unfortunately, the family was not very good friends with the Sparks. Or at all well in contact. Iris was therefore very careful with her broom. But unfortunately, this one was not at all gentle with her. Her broom began to throw her off like a wild mustang.
Both cups and Dora saw how Iris fell down from the broom but still held on to the broomstick with both hands. Iris tried to climb back on the broom but it shook again very hard which led to Iris holding on to the broomstick with only one hand before she could no longer hold on and fell off. "Iris!" the three of them yelled as Iris fell off the broom while it stopped wiggling back and forth and slowly lowered to the ground. Iris, however, was in danger of landing on the hard forest floor if she hadn't pulled out her wand. "Not as plan, give me something safe to land" she said as the tip of her wand lit up white and she fired it at the ground below her, which was getting closer and closer.
A huge marshmallow appeared on which Iris landed, breaking her fall. All three ran towards the marshmallow from which Iris jumped down. "Iris are you ok?!" Mugman asked her as Iris' feet touched the ground again. "I'm ok" she said scratching the back of her head. Dora and the two cups exhaled in relief before Cuphead looked from Iris to the giant marshmallow. He saw her wand drawn as she fell off her broom.
This landed next to the group before Dora took it in her hand. "A spell for a giant marshmallow?" "Actually it was supposed to be a giant pillow" said Iris who was even more nervous than before. "But at least it didn't end up as something worse" she didn't want to know what would have happened if it hadn't been a marshmallow. Dora, at least, was glad that her granddaughter was okay. "I'm just glad that you're safe," she said and hugged Iris.
But suddenly they both heard smacking and looked towards the marshmallow. Cuphead had eaten a piece of the huge marshmallow and noticed that the others were watching him. Mugman rolled his eyes as Cuphead swallowed the piece and smiled nervously at the others "Really?" Mugman asked him before giving himself a face palm. "What? Iris is safe and it's a giant marshmallow" he said and continued eating while Dora and Iris just laughed. Dora pulled out her wand and waved it to shrink the marshmallow to a normal size. Cuphead picked it up from the ground and swallowed it whole. "So what's wrong?" asked Iris as she looked at both brothers.
They both looked at each other in confusion before looking to Iris and Dora. "What do you mean?" Cuphead asked Iris, who was still waiting for an answer from the two. "Well it's pretty obvious that you two seem to be in a bad mood" she folded her arms as she said this. Both brothers knew that they could not hide their problem from Iris. So they both explained to Iris and Dora why the two brothers were so angry with each other. "Oh you boys shouldn't be fighting over that" Dora said as she retrieved an old leather wallet from her cloak. From it she took out a five dollar bill which she gave to Iris.
"Since you been working hard today Iris why don't you and the boys go get some ice cream, my treat" Iris was more than surprised and couldn't believe it "Thank you Grandma!" she said and took the five dollars which she put in her shoulder bag. "Thank you Miss Dora, you're the best!" the two brothers said at the same time.
Dora grinned when she saw the happy faces of the three. "Now you have ten dollars, so that should be more than enough for all three of you to get ice cream" Iris hoped very much, because she had slowly become hungry for ice cream. All three wanted to go already before Dora called after them "Just promise me that you three stay out of trouble and boys stop fighting!" The three nodded and continued on their way. The way to the city was still far away and the sun was just about to set.
Therefore, the two brothers did not run but ran along the path while Iris followed them. "Guys wait up!" she called after the two as she ran after them.
A while passed and the two brothers were still arguing with each other. "He is right you know" said Iris "Ha! See Irie agree with me" said Cuphead proudly. But Mugman disagreed "No she agrees with me" he said and nudged his brother lightly. But Cuphead didn't put up with this and pushed him as well. "No I mean Elder Kettle, you two are brothers. You shouldn't fight over stuff like this" she said as everyone stopped and both brothers looked up at her. "No offense Iris but..." said Mugman before Cuphead interrupted him. "you don't have siblings right?" Iris nodded "So you won't get it" he said, showing his back to Iris and Mugman and was about to go on when Iris continued talking.
"I don't have a sibling but I think you guys are so lucky" the pupils of the two brothers shrank when they heard this and looked again at Iris who was now confused. "Lucky?" "What?" the two said simultaneously as they looked at each other growling. "I wish I had a brother or a sister" said Iris. "Trust us having a sibling most time is not as great as it crack up to be" "Well same with being a only child"Iris replied while folding her arms and looking at both brothers in a huff. Mugman was about to say something when he was interrupted by two voices. "Olivia!" "Come back!" Iris and the two brothers looked out from behind a tree where they saw the origin of the voices.
They were a humanoid figure with an olive head wearing an olive green dress that went down to her feet. Her high heels were also green to match her dress and had cocktail sticks instead of bows. In her head there was also a wooden cocktail stick. The other two adults were two frogs. More precisely, two wood frogs. The smaller of the two frogs was green with a yellowish white underside. The larger one is brown with a light salmon underside. The two frogs each wore a suit. The smaller one was dark green, had a light blue shirt and an orange flower pinned to the suit. The larger one wore a dark blue suit with a light purple shirt and a yellow flower was pinned to his suit. Both also wore a black tie and a pair of sandals.
The olive-headed woman the two frogs called Olivia turns to them "Sorry Ribby, Coaks. But I quit!" she said, showing her back to the two and was about to walk on when the smaller of the two frogs stopped her "Can we talk about it?" he asked her but Olivia shook her head "We're giving you a raise" the larger of the two frogs added. But Olivia was not so easily persuaded. "I have a chance to be a star in Hollywood and I'm not going to blow the chance being famous" she said and continued walking while lifting her head and giving a "Hmph!" sound. Both frogs were not very enthusiastic about this. They did not want her to go away. After all, Olivia was the singer at their club, The Fly Trap. But now they didn't have a singer anymore, which didn't thrill the two brothers.
Iris and the two brothers, however, were more or less confused. They didn't know exactly why and why Olivia was so eager to go to Hollywood. Somehow they feel sorry for the two frogs. Iris went over to the two frogs who were more than just devastated. They didn't notice that someone was walking towards them. Only when they heard an "excuse me" did they realize that someone was standing next to them. Well not really since the two frogs were fighting and ignoring the surroundings. "Great now we don't have a singer" Ribby said as he looked sadly after Olivia, who turned the corner and was out of sight of the two frogs. Croaks, however, was not really pleased "You saying it's my fault?" he asked his brother as he leaned over him and stared angrily at him. Ribby noticed this and didn't put up with it "So what if I am?" he asked him as he stared up at him before the two started punching each other with the boxing gloves.
So that's why the boxing gloves. Iris had already asked herself why two frogs need boxing gloves. But the two frogs noticed that the guests who stood in a queue in front of the entrance of the ship and watched the fight with the two. Both noticed and immediately stopped hitting each other and wiped the dirt off their suits before walking over to the guests and letting them into the ship. "Head right up, folks. We cast off in a few minutes. Get on the boat" Ribby said as the guests went into the boat. Iris and the two brothers followed the line of guests until they were standing right in front of the two frogs.
"Hey, hey! Looks like we got a couple of VIPs on our hands" both noticed the three who were now standing in front of them and paid no attention to the two frogs at first. Only when Ribby bent down to be on the same eye level as Cuphead and Mugman they noticed the two. "Youse three want the premium treatment, don't yas?" with his left boxing glove he hit "lightly" against the shoulder of Cuphead who rubbed the spot and smiled nervously. "What's with those gloves?" Iris asked curiously as she pointed to the boxing gloves of the two frogs. Both noticed and gladly answered her question. "Ho-oh, we used to be pro boxers" "Champions!" both frogs made different fighting poses when they explained that. But then they both suddenly looked sad.
"But, our dear old ma, she hated when we pounded each other. So we openend this club!" Ribby said as he appeared in front of the three and smiled again "We're respectable types now". Iris and the two brothers, however, were not really sure about that. No sooner had Ribby finished his sentence than Croaks appeared and threatened the three "Anybody says different, I'll pound 'em!" he said. "Ha-ha! Croaks is just kidding!" Ribby said, nervously pushing his brother away from the three. "Check this out!" he ran toward a sign that stood in front of the ship. All three walked toward the sign. "Want an evening you'll never forget?" Iris bent down to read what exactly the sign said. It said "First-class Entertainment, Ballroom Dancing and Fine Food.
Of course, the first two things didn't really interest the two brothers until Cuphead read something that delighted him. So much so that he took his head off his brother without hesitation, "Irie, Mugsy, look!" they both looked at the bottom sentence.
*Free Ice Cream with Entry*
"Ice cream!" they both shouted and already wanted to run onto the ship. But Croaks held the two by their shorts, which the two noticed, so he let go of their shorts and the two brothers flew away and landed on the ground right in front of Ribby and Iris. "Cover charge is 20 bucks" all three looked at each other while Cuphead and Mugman removed the dirt that landed on them as they slid to the ground. "We don't have that much" said Cuphead "Hmm...well then come back when you do" That didn't really please any of the three. "Come on guys let's just go" Iris said as she walked away from the ship while the two frogs were still greeting the rest of the guests. Mugman, who lowered his head, causing his straw to bend down as well, followed Iris while Cuphead thought and a light bulb appeared above his head that lit up. "Hey you two need a singer right?" he asked Ribby and Croaks. Both nodded "Our friend Iris is an amazing singer!" when Iris heard this she stopped and looked behind her "what?" she asked.
Cuphead ran to her, grabbed her hand and pulled her behind him to the two frogs while Mugman looked confused "Cuphead what are you..." but before she could say anything she was already standing in front of the two frogs who looked at her skeptically. Ribby scratched his chin as he looked at Iris who smiled nervously "Is this true kid?" he asked her "Well...I...don't know if I..." Iris stuttered with nervousness. "Come one Irie your an amazing singer" "And you do have an amazing voice Iris" said the two brothers to motivate her. But Ribby and Croaks wanted to make sure the cup wasn't pulling their leg.
That's why Iris was supposed to sing in front of them, but Iris was much too nervous to do that. "Never mind, as long as we find a replacement for Olivia before she comes crawling back," Ribby said as he and his brother made room for Iris to get on the ship. The brothers wanted to follow her, but as soon as Iris was on the bridge connecting the ship to the mainland, the two frogs got in the cups way. Not only that they were kicked into the water to the shock of Iris.
"Did you see how far I kicked that little punk?" Ribby said as he and his brother stopped laughing. "You saying you better than me?" "So what if I am?" both hit each other again. Iris just shook her head until she noticed that two more guests were approaching the ship. Both frogs, however, did not stop fighting. Iris gave herself a face palm "Guys!" Iris said loudly to get the attention of the two frogs. "What?!" both looked from Iris to the guests. "Oh! Hello, ., Mrs. Mr. Mayor" Ribby said as he straightened his tie. Croaks followed suit "We're respectable types" "Say any different and I'll pound you!" Iris gave herself another face palm before walking over to Croaks who was threatening the mayor's wife. "This guy! Always with the jokes!" said Iris as she tried to push him away. Ribby helped her with that before greeting the two new guests, "Please, step right inside".
Meanwhile, the two brothers were fished out of the water with the paddle wheel that was attached to the ship and to which they were attached with their sweaters. Both were not very enthusiastic about it. You could see it in their faces. Both jumped onto the ship, or rather landed on it, and were wet from head to toe. "This is an outrage!" Mugman said as he pulled his right glove out of the water and a fish fell before he put it back on. "They stole our five bucks" "They kicked us in the river and now have our best friend!" yes he was not very pleased. "The lint!" shouted Cuphead, which confused him, so he went to the railing and looked at the river, where they saw the lint submerged. Both were very sad about it until Cuphead's nose twitched.
"Ice cream" he said while Mugman looked at him in confusion. His nose continued to twitch as he turned and ran to the porthole, "I smell Ice cream!" they both looked through the porthole into the ship to search for the ice and for Iris. But they did not find the latter in the ballroom. But they found the ice cream that was on a table at the other end of the ballroom. In addition to the many different sundaes, there was also a chocolate fountain in the middle that was bubbling with chocolate.
Both brothers grinned with joy until Cuphead saw something. "Ooh... It's right under that vent" his gaze wandered from the two of them to the vent that was above the table with the ice. But how were they supposed to get in in the first place? The question still had to be clarified. "Look!" but Cuphead quickly found a suitable solution to the problem when he found an entrance not far away from the two in the form of a ventilation shaft through which they could climb without any problems.
But both could not agree on who went through the vent first. So the two argued again until the foghorn was heard and the flap to the ventilation shaft opened. "We're shoving off!" "Let's go!" both jumped into the ventilation shaft at the same time. Of course, that wasn't as easy as they imagined. Both squeezed through the ventilation shaft while Iris of the two frogs sent to the former locker room of Olivia. Then Iris still had to change before she went on stage. The room was a bit small and had a desk with a mirror on it, a closet that was a bit musty, two chairs that stood at a small table and a couch with a green tone. On the walls hung various posters. From advertising posters for the theater in town to Hollywood movies. A calendar hung on the wall next to the desk.
On these were entered in every day a red cross until today. There was a circle with the message "The day of the beginning of my career as an actress" Iris did not think much of it. She knew what she had to do now because both frogs were waiting for her outside. Iris had to put on a different dress than the one she was wearing now. So she went to the closet and opened it. In it hung a green silk-trimmed dress with white-green opera gloves, green Mary Janes and a dark green linen bowler cloche.
She took everything out of the cabinet and was about to close it when a photo fell out of the cabinet. She picked up the photo and looked at it more closely. The photo showed Ribby, Croaks and Olivia, but they were much younger than they were now. In the background was the ship and judging by the banner, it was the day the club opened. "I wonder why Olivia left when she looked so happy in the photo?" No one but Olivia herself could answer her question. Probably because of something I won't understand anyway. She didn't think about it any longer and quickly changed her clothes.
"What's taking her so long?" wondered Croaks who was standing impatiently outside the door. Ribby saw that his brother was impatient and about to open the door. "Say, what are you doing, Croaks?" he asked him, closing the door that the latter had opened slightly. Croaks was about to say something when the door opened by itself. Both of them looked at it and saw Iris who had finished changing and was ready for her entrance. "Can we go then? I want to get this over with quickly because this dress is extremely itchy" she said.
"Come on kid be reasonable" "Yeah we need a singer for tonight's show" Ribby and Croaks said as the former tapped Iris on the shoulder and tried to lead her down the hall. But Iris didn't put up with it. "How can I sing for you after what you did to my best friends?" Yes, Iris actually wanted the two brothers to come with her on the ship. "What those kids?" Ribby asked her. Iris gave him a slow nod and an annoyed expression in response. "Those Kids are the reason you two have a backup singer".
Both frogs looked from her to each other before looking back to Iris "Ok look what about this..." Ribby thought before continuing to speak. "Iris listened to him attentively but was still slightly annoyed. "If you do a good job performing in tonight's show...we" He thought about what he should say, but he couldn't think of anything. Croaks noticed that and helped him. "give you a job working for us and your friends get some ice cream?" both nodded and grinned at her. "So what do you say kid?" Ribby asked Iris, who was thinking.
"Ok on a few conditions, you give me a part time singing job, my family and friends can come to my show free and you give my friends Cuphead and Mugman all you can eat ice cream privilege" both frogs had their mouths wide open when Iris said that. "What?!" said Croaks in shock as Ribby covered his and his brother's mouths with his boxing gloves before going over to Iris "Nice try but no deal kid".
Iris had had enough, however, and drew her wand and pointed it menacingly at the two frogs. The tip lit up white and the place where the three of them were became colder and colder. "Well you did trick us thinking we could all get on your boat for free as long as I sing for you two but instead you two took five bucks from two kids, kick them into the river and still expect me to still sing for you" the glow became brighter and the place became colder. Ice formed on the walls and on the clothes and boxing gloves of the two frogs. Both felt the cold and began to shiver.
"So gentleman what will it be you two have no singer disappointing your audiences or the Inkwell press getting the scoop of the fly trap owners tricking and ripping off two kids and their friend who just wanted some ice cream" both knew that if the press found out about how they stole from two children and threw them into the river, their club would be ruined. They would be out of work and have to return to their old jobs as professional boxers. What would their mother say? She probably wouldn't be very happy about it.
Ribby and Croaks lowered their heads. Their mouths also lowered while Iris was glad that the two did not contradict her as before. But she was still confused about one thing. Okay why are they laughing now? "I have to give it to you kid you may look sweet and shy but you got moxie" Iris didn't know if that was an insult or a compliment. "You hustled us good" Croaks added.
"Mostly when people messed with my family or friends..." she said, slightly nervous. She lowered the wand that no longer lit up. The ice slowly disappeared and it was no longer as cold as before. "So do we have a deal?" the nod from Ribby and Croaks confirmed it to her. The former held out his hand "You got yourself a deal" Iris shook his hand and walked backstage with the two of them.
On the way there, however, the two frogs chatted with some guests. "Oh, hey! How youse doing huh?" "Looking good. What out for this guy. Here comes trouble" Ribby said while Croaks led Iris backstage. She should wait there until it was her turn. "Okay be ready your on in 5 minutes" he said, leaving her alone with herself. But Iris suddenly heard something above her. She looked up but there was nothing except for the ventilation shaft and one of the air vents.
"You sure this is right?" asked Mugman who was still not quite sure if they were right or completely going in the wrong direction. But Cuphead was more worried that someone would hear them. "Shh, quiet! Someone might hear!" he said quietly to his brother. But Iris heard them and was glad that at least they were no longer in the river. "Cuphead, Mugman, I'm down here," Iris said. Both cups heard it and looked down to where Iris was waving at them. Both waved back or wanted to, but since both were standing on the bars and both were too heavy, they fell down and landed in front of Iris.
Well not quite in front of Iris. Both lay in a box full of costumes from which the two looked. Cuphead was wearing a red jester's cap while Mugman had a plastic head in the shape of a flytrap that he was trying hard to remove. After they both came to their senses, they saw Iris, who was more than happy to see them again. "Guys!" "Irie!" everyone said as the two brothers ran up to Iris and hugged. "I'm so happy that you're here" Iris looked at both of them with tears in her eyes, which she wiped away, but she still wanted to know if they were okay. "Are you ok? Are you hurt?" so she examined them and hoped that they had no wounds or anything like that. "No we're ok" Mugman said easily "No thanks to those jerks" Cuphead added as he pointed to a poster showing Ribby and Croaks.
"Hey! How'd you bozos get in?" that heard the three who fell silent, gasped and stood rooted to the spot when they heard the voice. It was the two frogs and from the sound of it, they seem to have noticed that the two cups were probably on the ship. Therefore, the two panicked looking for a hiding place. But Ribby and Croaks did not come "Just kidding..." the guests laughed while the two brothers and Iris exhaled in relief. Everything was still in the green and the two frogs did not know that the two cups were here "You fine folks are paying customers. You ain't bozos".
"Except for this clown" Iris and the others didn't hear it but judging from the laughter and the sounds, there was a real clown sitting in the audience. Is that supposed to be ironic? Iris asked herself, who understood little of it, just as she did of sarcasm. "But seriously, folks, we'd like to start the night off with a song" both frogs moved aside as the spotlight shone on the curtain while the band standing next to the stage played music. The three behind the curtain heard this. "Ladies and gentlemen please welcome our new singer" Iris knew it was her turn and got ready to go through the curtain. As she did so, the two brothers went into the vent to find a way to the table where all the ice cream was.
The light of the spotlights blinded her eyes, so Iris raised her right arm to get used to the bright light before slowly lowering her arm and looking at the audience. Yes, she had slight stage fright but both frogs supported her as best they could "Iris Spark!" the guests clapped even though they didn't even know Iris.
But that was not so important because a firefly flew on stage and handed her a microphone while the band now really got going. Iris didn't know why but her body moved to the rhythm of the music. Normally Iris was not a good dancer but for some reason she had to dance before she started to sing.

The singing voice of Iris was more than enchanting. Both frogs could not close their mouths no matter how often they tried. "She sounds much better than Olivia," Ribby said.
"All of my collections"
"I'll share them all with you"
"Maybe by next summer"
"We won't have changed our tunes"
"You're stepping on my fingers!" "Watch it!" Cupehead and Mugman argued again hardly that they were away from Iris. But no one heard that from down there in the ballroom at the moment.
"We'll still want to be"
"With the butterflies and bees"
"Making up new numbers"
"And living so merrily"
Iris, who had long since forgotten her stage fright by keeping her eyes closed and getting lost in the music. While a bee news reporter was in the audience enjoying the show. "Wow what a voice" he said as he was writing down on his notes "Just wait 'till the readers, read about this".

But when Iris was finished with the song they all suddenly heard a loud noise and looked up to the ventilation shaft "Hey-o! Who's up there?" asked Ribby while Iris was just sweating nervously. This for good reason as Croaks used one of the waiters who was a firefly as a flamethrower and fired at the part of the vent where the noise was coming from.
Cuphead and Mugman noticed how hot it was getting in the ventilation shaft. Extremely hot. So hot that their hands and feet hurt. "Oh! Ow!, Hot, hot, hot! Ow!" both wanted only one thing to get away as fast as possible and went into the next junction. In the process, they ended up in the cooling chamber.
In the ballroom, however, panic broke out because the flamethrower broke down the pipe and the curtain caught fire, threatening to burn the entire stage. "The Stage is on Fire!" said Ribby in panic, "You saying it's my fault?" "So what if I am?" they both started fighting again while the guests gasped and Iris just shook her head. She took out her wand and used a water spell to put out the flames while the two frogs calmed the guests.
"All part of the show, folks" the guests calmed down again while the show went on and the two frogs sang the next song while Iris went backstage and took the chance to look for the two brothers.
Both of them were not in the ballroom and that worried her a lot. Therefore, she searched everywhere until she heard a sigh and looked behind the corner. There, leaning against the wall, was an anthropomorphic bulldog wearing a blue shirt and a white apron with meat scraps stuck to it. Iris knew who it was because Ribby and Croaks had introduced her to the other employees before taking her to the locker room. It was Sherman. "What's wrong Sherman?" she asked him as he looked to her.
His nose sniffled and he wiped the snot away "My girl Dorris..." he took a breath "she's ready to dump me". Iris tilted her head as he said this. "What makes you say that?" she asked him. "Well I haven't been spending time with her as much and missed our anniversary" he sobbed while Iris sat down next to him. "Wow...that's bad" Sherman was only more heartbroken by this statement than before "Oh It's hopeless" he said and let a tear fall. "Oye no hables asi" said Iris.
Sherman looked at her with a puzzled expression on his face. He didn't understand what she was saying exactly, but he didn't care because he wanted to tell Dorris how much he loved her. "I'm sure Dorris will give you another chance" she put her hand on his shoulder. "Did you try talking to her?" Sherman nodded "I tried but she just won't listen to what I want to say" he looked down at the floor again. "Is she still here?" he nodded and pointed his finger in the direction where Dorris was. Iris followed the finger and saw how the dachshund lady was leaning against the wall and looked more than annoyed "She's over there".
"I think I can help" Iris said as she thought of a way to bring the two dogs back together. "Really you help me win her back?" Sherman was more than amazed that Iris helped him even though they hardly knew each other. "Of course I can see how much you love her" she lifted his ear slightly She was about to whisper something in his ear when she and Sherman suddenly heard screams coming from the ballroom. Both were confused because it was quiet just before. So what happened? Well, Iris already suspected what happened. "Oh no...don't tell me" she didn't want to guess but she knew who was responsible for the scream. Iris ran to the ballroom where everything was in chaos. Sherman followed her and was as horrified as she was when they both saw the chaos. Fire, water and all the destroyed furniture were scattered around the ballroom.
The culprits for the chaos were quickly found as they were still in the ballroom. Well, you could say that because Cuphead and Mugman were followed by Ribby and Croaks.
The two frogs were responsible for all the water getting into the ship in the first place as they both slammed their boxing gloves into the walls, leaving holes where the water came from. The guests screamed in panic while Iris had to process the whole event that was playing before her eyes. "Ok! That's it!" she called out as everyone stopped what they were doing. The guests stopped screaming, the two brothers stopped in mid-air, and Ribby and Croaks stopped chasing them.
"All day I have seen only the four of you fighting! Look what your fighting has caused!" the four suspects looked around and were not very enthusiastic about the chaos they had caused. Iris who was still angry went over to Cuphead and Mugman. Both had never seen Iris as angry as she was now. "Your brothers can you just stop fighting! Talk and just deal with the problem?" she asked them, who thought about the words Iris said and sadly lowered their heads. It is best to discuss problems so that they can be resolved as quickly as possible before they get worse. "Iris is right".
Mugman looked at Cuphead "I need to say something" he circled his fingers before continuing to speak while Cuphead waited patiently. "I'm sorry, Cuphead" "For sleep-eating my ice cream?" but Mugman shook his head. "I didn't sleep-eat it" he took a deep breath before continuing "I awake-ate it!" and began to cry "I'm the worst brother ever!" he continued to cry until he felt a hand on his shoulder to which he looked. The hand belonged to Cuphead who was comforting his brother "Hey! No you're not".
Mugman calmed down a bit and stopped crying "Cause I awake-ate your ice cream too" "You did?" Mugman asked, wiping away a tear and looking at his brother. Cuphead nodded and both hugged each other. "Aww!" said not only the two brothers but also Iris when she saw how the two forgave each other. But then her heart started to race when she saw Ribby and Croaks, who were both bent over the two brothers, ready to hit them with their boxing gloves. But they didn't. No they lowered their fists and had to cry as well.
"It's so beautiful how youse two forgive each other like that. Oh!" Ribby said while wiping away his tear with his boxing glove. Croaks now stood by his side to comfort him. "We should try to be more like that," he suggested. "I'm sorry we's always fighting" "Me too" both hugged each other like the two cups they now not only made their families but also allowed them to enter the club for free.
This, however, slowly flooded with water, which is why Iris used her magic wand "Trouble is in our way, time for us to get away" with a huge cloud of smoke all the guests disappeared from the ship and landed on the land next to the river while Iris turned to the ship which she lifted with Levitato and repaired with another spell "Something broken into two, time to make you good as new" before bringing the ship back on the river. The club was saved like the rest of the evening. As Ribby and Croaks promised, the two brothers were allowed to stay on the ship.
The next night
The devil appeared with Henchman who had persuaded him to go to the club after a long persuasion. "Why did you wanted me to come with you to this club again Henchman?" he asked him while leaning on the chair and leaning his trident against the table, looking bored. "Well Boss in todays paper said that a new amazing singer started working at this club" said Henchman but the devil was not so sure and only scoffs . "and I thought you would love to see her sing and see the show" he said with twinkling eyes while the devil only looked at him more confused and annoyed than before "a new amazing singer huh" yes you could feel the sarcasm he was exuding "I'll be the judge of that" with folded arms and pouting face he looked towards the stage where the two frog brothers were.
The latter greeted the guests in the same way as before before introducing the new singer who was none other than Iris. She wore a red evening dress that glittered in the spotlight, her hair was tied in a loose ponytail with flowers in it. When the devil saw her, his eyes widened, "Iris!?" he said with his mouth open.
"Oh yeah yeah"
"The situation turned around enough to figure out"
"That someone else has let you down"
"So many times I don't know why"
"But I know we can make it as long as you say it"
Guests listened to Iris singing while looking at the stage or eating something. Almost everyone looked towards the stage.

Dora was also at the club with Elder Kettle and the two boys who were enjoying their ice cream while Elder Kettle tried to show Dora how much he liked her. But he did not know how.

While Elder Kettle was trying to figure out how best to tell Dora that he had feelings for her, Sherman went over to his girlfriend Dorris who was sitting alone at a table with her arms crossed, annoyed. She felt someone tap her shoulder. A backward glance told her it was Sherman holding a bouquet of roses. She gasped and took the bouquet, forgiving her boyfriend and kissing him.

Elder Kettle saw it and only felt worse than before. It couldn't be that hard to say "I love you". Or could it?
"Show me look what we found turn it around every day"

"Now I know why know we can make it"

Well, he was not the only one. The devil looked at Iris with hearts in his eyes while his tail wagged back and forth like a dog happy to see his owner again after a hard day's work. Henchman had to smile. He had never seen his boss as happy as he was now.

When Iris finished the song, the guests applauded and cheered for her. Everyone stood up and clapped while Iris bowed and disappeared backstage. "She is...perfect" said the devil as he lay with his head and arms on the table and continued to wag his tail. In the backstage dressing room Iris changed and wore her normal clothes again. She removed the flowers from her hair, which was open again, before tying it with a hair band. Just as she finished, the door opened and she looked in the mirror to see the door Ribby and Croaks were looking out of. "Good job Iris, the audience went wild!" said the former.
"It was a good idea that we hired you as our singer" Croaks said while giving a thumbs up and Iris had to smile "Thank you guys I-" but before she could speak further a bouquet of flowers magically flew out of the door that both frogs were holding open into the room and landed precisely in Iris' arms. A note was attached to the bouquet. "Well kid look at that" "Looks like you have a secret admirer" said the two frogs as they closed the door behind them and left Iris alone.
She was more than surprised who had sent her these flowers. Was it Sherman as a thank you for being together with Dorris again? Cuphead or Mugman? Or a secret admirer who happened to be in the audience area? All questions that she could not answer in this way. But she didn't care because the flowers smelled wonderful and the note only said one sentence.

Who was this Mr. S? Iris asked herself, and how did he magically send the flowers is he a wizard? How beautiful the flowers smelled now Iris did not really feel well. It was like she was being watched by someone she couldn't see. Frightened, she looked around until there was a knock at the door and she was thinking clearly again. "Y-y-yes?" she said in a slightly shaky voice as the door slowly opened and several familiar faces peered out. It was her grandmother, the two brothers Cuphead and Mugman and Elder Kettle. "Hey Iris your performance was totally awesome!" said Cuphead whose mouth was covered with ice cream. "Thanks guys" said Iris who gave him a handkerchief to wipe the ice cream off.
Elder Kettle and Dora also congratulated her very much on her performance before the former disappeared with the two brothers, leaving Iris alone with Dora. The ship stopped and let the guests out as well as the staff. Iris, who was the second to last with her grandmother, said goodbye to Ribby and Croaks before going back home with her grandmother. Holding her flowers from Mr. S blushing a little smelling the flowers again and couldn't help but smile a little as she thinks about her mysterious secret admirer.
