Song used in this chapter (Mr. blue) by Catherine Feeny

There was a lot going on in the cottage of the two cups and Elder Kettle. Dora and Iris were invited together with Sparky and Miss Meow Meow to listen the most popular game show with the three of them. Roll the Dice. Dora loved the show as much as Elder Kettle. Both were literally in love with the show. Iris liked the show very much and was glad that for a month she had peace from the devil. Yes, since one month she has Sparky as her Familiar and the connection between them became better and growing every day.

He did not leave her side and always helped her. Also, her magic seemed to become stronger through his presence than before. In any case, she felt and noticed it. It was almost like a miracle. Unfortunately, she often still have problems with her magic. This frustrated her very much, but Sparky helped to cheer her up again by licking her cheek.

Right now she was reading one of her favorite books while her grandmother and Elder Kettle listened to music on the radio and waited impatiently for the game show. "Come on!" said Elder Kettle several times, which annoyed Iris a bit. So she went outside with Sparky and continued reading her book. Sparky was about to lie down next to the bench where Iris was sitting when he heard the two brothers playing with a tire. He wagged his tail and wanted to play along but waited to hear what Iris said.

"You can play with them Sparky" the dog wasn't quite sure and tilted his head thoughtfully. He wasn't quite sure yet. "Don't worry I'm fine and the devil is not around to kidnap me" that pleased him very much. With wagging tail he ran after the two cups chasing the tire. It was not just any tire. No, it was Elder Kettle's lucky tire they were playing with. They ran around the cottage laughing while Iris just grinned and giggled. The goat that was lying next to the bench nudged Iris and wanted to be stroked by her. Of course Iris didn't say no, put the book down next to her and stroked the goat.

In the living room the music stopped playing and the radio announcer told the listeners that the game show Roll the Dice was about to begin. "Kids! Our favorite radio show is about to start" "And Popcorn is ready!" Dora added. Iris smelled the popcorn as well as the two boys who stopped in front of the window. Both were very pleased to hear that. "Hey!" all three suddenly jerked when they heard this and looked at the window from which Elder Kettle was looking annoyed. "You're not playing with my lucky tire again, are ya?".

"Of course not, dearest Kettle" Both brothers and Sparky looked at him innocently while both brothers hid their sticks behind their backs so that Elder Kettle would not see them. However, he looked at them suspiciously. He was about to say something, but then the announcer on the radio spoke up. "Live from beautiful downtown Inkwell City..." both brothers wiped away their sweat and exhaled in relief, "Phew!" Sparky followed suit while Iris just shook her head and giggled. She was about to continue reading when she saw the tire roll away.

"Ah guys" both brothers saw the tire slowly roll down the path and out the gate. Panicked, both brothers and Sparky ran after the tire while Iris stayed behind."It's everyone's favorite game show, Roll the Dice!" "Ah grandma..Elder Kettle" they both heard and looked at the window from which a worried Iris was looking. "We'll be right back we just forgot to get something from the city" Dora nodded understandably while Elder Kettle was a bit confused. "Ok dear just hurry back soon you kids don't want to miss the show" Iris nodded and ran after the two cups and her Familiar. They ran directly towards the building where the show is broadcast.

Elder Kettle turns the radio up a little louder than before so they can both hear some of it while Miss Meow Meow gets comfortable on Dora's lap and sleeps. "Featuring your master of ceremonies, King Dice!" in the studio it was very crowded and only a few seats were still free. They waited patiently for King Dice while on stage the drummer welcomed him with a drum roll followed by trombones. The light got darker and the spotlight landed directly on King Dice who appeared behind the curtain.

He is roughly six feet tall, having the body of a human man, but with his head being modeled after a floating die. A conventional six-sided die, faces two through six are painted with their own corresponding number of round, purple pips. It is only side number one that has the features of a human face, with eyes, eyebrows, a mustache and a mouth. The single purple pip in the center of the die's face serves as his nose. He wears white dress gloves and purple dress shoes that match in color with his purple tailcoat, lavender waistcoat, dark purple pants and fuchsia purple bowtie. He also has a pointed black mustache, high black eyebrows and shiny silver eyelids.

This one went dancing on stage while the audience clapped, cheered and celebrated him. "Whoa!" he said when he finished his dance while the audience, both in and out of the studio, waited patiently for the show to continue. "All right. Let's jump right in!" said King Dice who himself was very impatient and could hardly stand still. "Who will be the first lucky contestant to Roll the Dice?" he took the microphone and followed with his eyes the spotlight that wandered through the audience. "Will it be..." the spotlight passed by three spectators sitting in a Loge "Oh, me!" said an anthropomorphic eggplant who was already looking forward to being taken. But the spotlight fell on the phone.

"You!" The phone was a bit shocked. His face was not to be overlooked, but he was very happy to be accepted as the first participant in the show. "Yay!" He said in anticipation while the rabbit sitting next to it was cheering for it. "All right, Telephone!" it said while the phone jumped off its chair in joy and made its way to the stage. "It's your lucky day, sir. Get on up here and Roll the Dice" said King Dice, who noticed that the phone was a bit too happy and wanted to reach for the microphone. "Ah, ah, ah! Don't touch" but he was able to stop him and pushed him away with his index finger before continuing with the show.

"Now, all you gotta do is make it through three rounds, then you get to enter the mystery prize room" he explained to the participant while showing three fingers and pointing to the said door. It was a normal door with a cardboard cutout of King Dice above the door pointing and smiling while there were question marks all around the door. Nobody knew what was behind it. Well, in general, no one has ever heard anything from the people who entered the room. But that didn't matter because you were in the room when you completed all three rounds. "First up, Name That Tune!".

King Dice moved from the phone to the orchestra he was conducting. The orchestra played a random song that the phone had to guess. He thought about it because the melody seemed very familiar to him. "Ah! Little Brown Jug" it answered as if shot out of a pistol. "Correct!" The first round was done, only two more to go. The audience clapped and rejoiced over the phone. "Now, on to the trivia round!" It was slowly getting quiet again in the hall, because now the phone had to concentrate a lot to get into the next and last round. Knowledge was now the be-all and end-all. "Which is the only mammal that cannot jump?" he stretched out the microphone to the phone that was thinking again. As in the previous round, it knew the answer immediately. "The elephant" the buzzer was heard and the second round was done. There was only one more to go before the phone could enter the Mystery Prize room.

"Yeah!" said the rabbit who jumped up and down like the other spectators. Only the two elephants sat which were little enthusiastic about it. "Show-offs!" said one of the two elephants while the other just sulked. But now the view fell on the stage where an anthropomorphic diamonds card pushed a pedestal with two Dice. "Now, for the final game. All you gotta do is Roll the Dice!" King Dice explained "Roll any number and you'll go to the mystery prize room" The phone's eyes widened when it heard this and immediately jumped onto the platform and rolled both Dice that showed a six. Confetti fell onto the phone. It had completed all three rounds, "We have a winner!" which meant it could go through the door that led to the Mystery Prize Room. The audience was very happy about the victory.

Also pleased was King Dice "You are one lucky phone!" he reached for the door and opened it for the lucky winner. "Now, off you go to the mystery prize room!" The phone didn't say no to that and hopped backwards into the room while waving to the audience before King Dice closed the door and turned to the audience and announced "We'll be right back" yes it was time for a break for the master of ceremonies. "Hello?" said the phone that was in the said Mystery Prize Room. It didn't look very mysterious, but more like the janitor's closet. Anyway, you couldn't miss the mob and the bucket. Neither could the heater that was in the middle of the room and turned on by itself. It looked very threatening with the burning fire and the pipe that sucked in the soul of the phone like the Skee Ball machine at the carnival.

The now soulless body was transported out through a trapdoor that was underneath it into an alley next to the building where the show was being held. A sign reading "Thanks for Playing!" with a smiling King Dice on it was affixed to the wall on the opposite building. Backstage in King Dice's dressing room, he was groomed by his cards before heading back out to the stage. They took care of his clothes, his appearance and much more. When they were done, he asked the cards to go away and leave him alone for a moment. For good reason, as he began to talk to his reflection.

"Who's the host with the most, hmm?" "You are, you handsome devil. Mwah!" his own reflection answered him "Oh! You're terrible!" yes his slightly flushed face was hard to miss. As was the light indicating that the show was about to go on. "Now, we return to your favorite radio game show, Roll the Dice!" so King Dice made his way to the stage, walking past two Wanted posters. One showed Cuphead while the other showed Iris. He didn't know why they were wanted by the devil, but he didn't care because the show had to go on. "We are going to mix things up a bit folks we are going to pick two lucky contestants next on roll the dice!" The spectators were very happy. Some were already holding their arms up while others were jumping out of their seats with joy.

"Now...who will be our next's lucky contestants on Roll the Dice?" The spotlight was already moving while Cuphead, Mugman, Iris and Sparky came out of the front door following the tire rolling down the stairs. Cuphead, who was closer to the tire, was about to jump after it when the spotlight landed on him and he stopped like a statue while the tire rolled away. Iris, however, continued to run until she was also caught by a spotlight and stopped, looking at the stage like Cuphead."You two are the next contestants on roll the dice". Cuphead was very happy about it and ran to the stage with big pupils while Iris had to process what just happened.

Meanwhile Cuphead clung to the left leg of King Dice who was surprised himself, grinned nervously and tried to loosen the cups from his leg which didn't really work. Iris slowly walked up to the stage and smiled. "Welcome to the show! Now, let go of my leg and tell us a little bit about yourself" Cuphead didn't need to be told twice and grabbed the microphone that King Dice was holding in his hand. "I'm Cuphead! I like roller coasters, hot dogs, tilt-a-whirl, hot dogs, flying swings, hot dogs, throwing up and roller coasters in that order!" he was shaking with nervousness and realized much too late that King Dice took the mic out of his hand.

"How about you lovely lady?" he turned to Iris, who did not reach for the microphone but had it held in front of her mouth. "Oh wow...my name is Iris and I can't believe I'm on roll the dice and getting to meet you King Dice" she said nervously and delightedly at the same time. "What a lovely introduction. I-" But before King Dice could speak further, Cuphead took the microphone from his hand. "Wow! I can't believe I'm standing next to the King Dice!" Cuphead trembled with joy and excitement. Iris stood next to him and noticed that. Well, she didn't blame him, because he was a big fan of King Dice and his game show, just like her. That they were now standing next to him, neither of them knew.

King Dice on the other hand just smiled at him although it looked more like an annoyed smile which was typical for Show Master. "You're way shorter in person" that pleased and delighted King Dice in turn not to be humiliated by a small cup and laughed at in front of his audience. Especially when said cup is smaller than himself. No, he didn't like that, so he took the mic from Cuphead's hand "So-" "Wait" Cuphead interrupted him again, which slowly disturbed not only King Dice but Iris as well, because he deliberately delayed the show. "Everyone in town can hear this, right?" "That's right. First-" and again Cuphead grabbed the mic and blows a Raspberry.

"That's for you, Jimmy! And you know what for" Iris just shook her head while King Dice was still not quite thinking straight. He had to process what he had just heard before he could do and say anything. Well, Cuphead spoke to him again, so he could forget it. "So, you're an entertainer, right?" he just stared at him in confusion while Iris continued to shake her head. "I'm kind of entertaining too" "Oh yes that's right" said Iris who agreed with him "I got a joke for you". "These two cannibals are eating a clown, and, uh..." he thought about how the joke continued "Wait. How did it go?" he continued to think while Iris could not stop giggling.

While Cuphead thought about how the joke went on and Iris continued to giggle, King Dice took a closer look at the two. He had the feeling that he had seen them somewhere before and their names seemed very familiar. Wait, could it be that the two are wanted by the devil? He wanted to be on the safe side and looked from Cuphead and Iris to the wanted posters behind the curtain. Yes, he was not mistaken. Both were the ones the devil was looking for. "Now, a quick word from our sponsor" Cuphead realized he no longer had the mic in his hands and looks from his empty hand to King Dice. Iris, who was also away for a moment with her thoughts, also looked at him.

"We'll be right back" with these words he disappeared from the stage and left Cuphead and Iris alone who only waved and smiled at the audience. "Get me the boss" King Dice was now standing next to the phone, waiting impatiently. Who was his boss? Well none other than the devil who was just taking a relaxing bath and daydreaming again. He was dancing with Iris who was wearing a beautiful dress under a gazebo. He dip her and was about to kiss her when Henchman came to him with the phone in his hand and disturbed his daydream. "Uh, hey, boss. Phone call".

There pleased him not really what one could recognize at his mouth. "Urgh. This better be important" he took the phone from him. "It's your number one calling" heard on the other end of the line. "Who?" he asked confused while King Dice was a bit confused. "King Dice? You're number one?" but the name did not ring a bell with him. Only when he thought again he remembered the name. "Dice, you know I'm very busy. What do you want?" he asked him in a slightly annoyed voice. Yes, he was still angry at him for interrupting his daydream. Especially at the point where he was so close to kiss Iris.

"I just captured two certain people you might be interested in" The devil listened to him carefully because he was now curious about who he had in his show. "A certain cup and a certain...cute witch" When he heard that, he stood up and the cucumber slices that were on his eyes slid down into the bathtub. "You actually have them?" he asked again to make sure. "Just sit back, relax, and I'll deliver the girl and that cup's soul directly to you" "This is why you're my number one".

"Oh, and number one?" King Dice listened to him. "Yes?" he hoped very much that nothing bad would come. "I hate disappointment" he swallowed nervously when he heard the threatening sound from the devil. He knew should not screw up on capturing those two for his boss. The devil was serious. "Oh and one more thing Dice" King Dice listened to him and nodded while sweating nervously. "I don't want this witch's soul. Instead I want you to bring her back to me unharmed and if she have one scratch on her I will be very upset and you know very well you wouldn't want that Right?" he shook his head and swallowed again. Only this time even more nervous than before.

After hearing that additional request he really didn't want to disappoint his boss. "You got it...boss" he lay up and made his way to the stage while the devil relaxed and enjoyed his bath. Soon not only he'll finally get the Cup's soul but Iris will be with him. He was really looking forward to that. She was perfect for him and shall rule the underworld together with him. Meanwhile, King Dice reappeared on the stage where Iris and Cuphead were still standing, looking at him from the audience. "And we're back!" he announced to the audience and those who were sitting in front of the radio listening to the show. "First up, you need to-" "Name That Tune!" Cuphead interrupted him, taking the microphone from his hand again before King Dice took it back, smiled at him and walked over to the orchestra he was conducting.

A familiar melody was heard that actually everyone knew or should know. "Oh that's too easy" said Cuphead who already wanted to give the answer until he suddenly couldn't think of it anymore. "It's...wait. I know hmmm..." he kept thinking while the audience as well as Iris and King Dice became more and more impatient. "Sprinkle, sprinkle, Mr. Car?".

Meanwhile back at the cottage.

Dora giggled when she heard the answer while Ms. Meow Meow was lying on her lap, asleep and pretty much oblivious. Elder Kettle, on the other hand, couldn't believe that Cuphead didn't know such a simple song. It was a very familiar lullaby. "Sprinkle, Sprinkle, Mr. Car?!" he took the radio in his hands and shook it back and forth several times while yelling at it "Come on!".

"No" the answer was wrong, but Cuphead did not want to give up. "Hmm, then I better use my help line" he, Iris and King Dice looked into the auditorium where their eyes fell on Mugman who was also sitting in it. "My brother, Mugman, is the smartest person I know besides Iris" the spotlights fell on him and Mugman froze in fear and clutched the seat. "It appears your help line is frozen in terror" yes so he could not exactly help him. "Oh, right. Mugman's got really bad stage fright" he remembered that his brother always had problems standing on stage. Even when they were smaller, he had stage fright. Actually, he would have lost this round too, but since Cuphead is not competing alone, but together with someone else. "Since your friend couldn't name that tune, Iris can you name that tune!" his eyes moved from Cuphead to Iris who smiled at him and nodded while holding the microphone in front of her mouth. "It's twinkle, twinkle little star" the buzzer sounded and the question was answered correctly. With that, both had reached the second round. "Great job Irie! But Aw, Nuts! I guess I lose" Cuphead was about to go down to the stage but King Dice pushed him back up.

"Since your help line was frozen in terror, you should get another chance" he looked toward the audience. "Shouldn't he, folks?" the audience agreed with him and applauded, shouting loudly "Give him another chance!". With that, it was clear. Cuphead got another chance. "What's the name of your favorite song?" King Dice whispered in his ear while Cuphead whispered the answer. "Beautiful" he ran over to the orchestra and whispered it to one of the cards who nodded before returning to the two "Ok, Cuphead" Cuphead and Iris looked to him "Name this tune" the orchestra played a melody that was instantly familiar to Cuphead.

"But you just asked me my favorite song" "Which song?" King Dice asked him pushing the mic in his face and waiting for an answer. "The daring young man on the flying Trapeze?" The buzzer was heard again and King Dice said "Correct!" Cuphead was now one round further which pleased him very much. "And now, on to the-" he had the mic snatched from his hand again by none other than Cuphead who finished his sentence. "Trivia round!" annoyed he took the mic out of his hand again and pulled himself together not to freak out "Isn't he great, folks?".

"Ok Iris, what is the name of a magical creature of a horse with wings?" he asked her and stood next to him while he put his left arm around her shoulder and put the microphone in front of her mouth so she could say the answer in it. "That's easy. Pegasus!" the buzzer sounded again "That is Correct!" he said and took his arm away from her shoulder before he went to Cuphead who now also had to answer a question. "Now, the dreaded Poodoo Cave Monster lives in which cave?" he asked him as the audience gasped and Cuphead thought.

He thought hard, which annoyed King Dice, who rolled his eyes before giving him a hint. "The Poodoo Cave Monster. Let's just think out loud a little"he tried to give him a hint but unfortunately Cuphead did not come up with the answer. "Say the name of the cave monster" "Poodoo?" the buzzer sounded again and the question was answered correctly. Both had now reached the final round. The easiest round. The audience continued to applaud while Mugman was still clutching his seat in fear and Sparky tried to cheer him up, but unfortunately it didn't work. But he saw something behind the curtain. The tire.

This one the four wanted to bring back but somehow lost sight of it when they landed here in the show and now took part in it. But the dog did not mind. He went unnoticed by the others on stage and behind the curtain. The tire was not far from him. So he could let it roll off the stage without any problems if there wasn't one tiny little problem. When he looked at the wall he saw the two wanted posters of Iris and Cuphead. Under Iris's poster was another sticky note that fell off and landed right in front of Sparky. It said that Iris should not go to the Mystery Prize Room but should be taken backstage where the Devil or Henchman should pick her up.

This didn't really please the dog who now looked at the stage and saw Iris standing on the platform where the two dice were that had to be rolled. "Roll any number and go straight to the mystery prize room" he explained while pushing Cuphead to the podium. "Literally, any number. It's basically impossible to lose" Iris was about to roll the dice, but Cuphead intervened and rolled the dice himself. Or he wanted to, but then he remembered the joke from earlier. "Wait! I remember how the joke goes!" he grabbed the mic from King Dice and went to the stage to tell the joke while Iris stood on the podium ready to roll the dice. The joke was ignored by both Iris and King Dice, who saw that she had rolled a three and a five.

Iris unfortunately did not know at that moment that the elevator appeared behind the curtain and she will soon be taken to the underworld. Sparky heard it, however, and now had to act quickly so that his master did not end up in the underworld. The fact that Cuphead delayed the show a bit more gave him enough time to think while the audience shouted "Roll the Dice! Roll the Dice!" to encourage Cuphead. "Watch this" He rolled the dice and the dice spun so fast that they fell out of their holders and landed on the floor. Sparky used his electric powers and fired an electric beam at the two Dice, which exploded, scaring not only King Dice but also Cuphead. "How?" asked King Dice, who walked over to the remains of the Dice and looked at them in shock. "Aw, dang it. I guess I lost and Irie won" said Cuphead who was not very happy about it.

"Oh, that's actually a good thing" Iris and Cuphead looked to him with confused expressions on their faces "When the dice shatter, you go directly to the mystery prize room, And your friend gets a behind the scenes look where a special prize awaits her, yay!" Iris was worried and wanted to get off the stage but King Dice held her tight and so did Cuphead. " In you go" said Dice as her try to get Cuphead in the prize room but the Elephant interrupted him, causing him and Cuphead to look at the audience. " Hey! He lost! He not supposed to get a get a prize".

The elephant granny sitting next to him agreed with her fist raised. "This show is rigged!" the audience booed. Iris was a little confused but then she thought. Actually, the elephant lady was right. Dice almost told Cuphead what the right answer was, and having him guess his favorite song after asking him that was more than strange. "You shut up!" King Dice said annoyed while he tried to push Cuphead into the room, but he slowly realized that something was wrong. "Rigged? Hmph!" yep he had heard enough and freed himself from King Dice's grip to get off the stage. His brother was still frozen in fear, so he grabbed his arm in this state. "Come on, Mugsy, Irie" Iris looked at him "Let's leave with our dignity intact" yes she agreed with him and turned to King Dice who was still shocked and looked like he was panicking.

"Sorry King Dice but Cuphead is right and we have to get going anyway" Iris also went down from the stage to follow Cuphead. The panic spread even more in him when he saw not only Cuphead but now Iris leaving as well. "No! You two have to win!" frustrated, he tore off part of the mustache from the cardboard display that was above the door and used it as a weapon. "You're going in that room..." he looked at Cuphead before his eyes looked at Iris "And you will be taken backstage one way or another" Sparky who was still behind the curtain saw King Dice running towards the two. He had to act fast and pushed the tire with his nose which started rolling again and now came out from behind the curtain, running over King Dice and taking both brothers with him who disappeared from the studio. Iris ran after the two followed by her Familiar Sparky "Hey guys wait!" she yelled.

The door to the elevator opens. Groaning, King Dice stood up again and looked towards it and saw Henchman coming out of the elevator with not so happy news for number one. "Uh, Boss wants to see ya" King Dice sighed and walked towards the elevator. Back home the two brothers were more than knocked out and just wanted to go to bed after rolling all the way back home. Iris was a little out of breath after all the running but was at least glad to see her grandmother again. Elder Kettle was less pleased. Not because the three were suddenly away for so long but because Cuphead didn't understand the first song that was supposed to be guessed. "It's Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star!" he yelled at him before grabbing both brothers by the handle and taking them inside. Iris and Dora just shook their heads and went back inside as well.

It was very quiet in the elevator on the way to the underworld. King Dice knew he was in big trouble. Henchman, however, smiled. Not because King Dice was in trouble, but because he was his biggest fan. "Uh, Gee, Mr. King Dice, sir, I know this is a little bit awkward, but, um, could I get your autograph?" King Dice rolled his eyes in annoyance when he heard this and gave him a clear answer to his question, "Not the time." The elevator stopped and the doors opened. "Hey-hey! Oh, um..." he found himself in the devil's throne room again and saw the throne at the other end showing his back. In it sat the devil and waited for him. "You're way over there" King Dice said nervously as he slowly and sweatily made his way to the throne. On the way there he saw the tapestries that showed the devil in three forms. As a spider, a goat and a dragon. On all the tapestries he struck fear and terror. King Dice was also a little nervous when he saw them. "Done some redecorating, I see" the throne was not far away. Just a few more feet and he was there.

"Say, um, how-" "So, Dice, you know Henchman, don't you?" his eyes looked from the throne to Henchman who was still in the elevator and waved kindly. "Hi!" King Dice now knew who the devil meant. "Yeah, I know Henchman," he replied, swallowing nervously, "He's a big fan of your show. Never misses an episode" said the devil with a raised index finger. King Dice swallowed even more nervously than before when he heard the following statement that sent him into a panic. "He was telling me that tonight, you had your first loss. Ever. And your first winner actually turning down ther prize ever too" yep he had to come up with something good to talk his way out of that.

"Look, I can explain!" "Silence!" the flames rose as the devil roared. King Dice looked away as the throne turned over. He noticed it, turned around but the devil was not sitting in his throne. Confused, he looked around until he realized that the devil was suddenly standing next to him. He was frightened and took a distance from the devil who was very angry. "You had them right in the palm of your hand!" the devil roared and bent over him. "I am very, very disappointed!" the devil made him float and circled him back and forth several times while staring angrily at him. "Just give a second chance to your number one!" King Dice begged him, but the devil had enough and made him fall. Slowly King Dice stood up again and saw the devil standing in front of him menacingly looking down at him.

Yes, he couldn't talk his way out of it. "You are no longer my number one and you will not be hosting your precious little show" This statement startled King Dice, whose pupils had shrunk. "But if I'm not hosting, then who?" he asked him. The answer was more than clear for the devil who looked from him back to the elevator where Henchman was still sitting in it "Henchman will!" said the devil while Henchman was a bit surprised "Me? Oh...wow thank you...I won't let you down boss!" he said and gave the devil a thumbs up before he turned back to King Dice who was devastated. "Thanks to you I still don't have that cup's soul and my bride" "Please boss I'm sorry I failed you but just give me another chance and I'll..." he was confused when he heard the last two words "Wait...bride?!" the devil nodded at his question which didn't really reassure King Dice.

"Yes Dice that is why I didn't want her soul like everyone else. Iris Spark is my bride to be and future queen of my underworld" King Dice did not know that he was in love with the witch. "I know I let you down and your angry but is there anything to make it up to you?" "There is nothing you can do to..." he was silent and thought "Hmm..." actually he could help him with one thing "You know what Dice maybe there is something you can do to make it up to me".

In the Flytrap

It was evening and the club was full of guests all waiting impatiently for the show to start. At the back table sat the devil and King Dice. The latter paid for the drinks while the former leaned relaxed against the wall with the chair and waited for the show. "Uh boss why are we here?" asked King Dice curiously. He knew the club but why would the boss come here when there are better clubs on the islands like this one with better drinks that cost their price accordingly. Dice had to pay for the drinks he and the devil had ordered. "Oh you'll see" he said, leaning back and takng a sip of his drink.

It was getting darker in the ballroom and the spotlights fell on the stage where Ribby and Croaks were standing. "Ladies and gentlemen" the guests looked towards the stage and were more than excited. "The Fly Trap is proud to present our amazing singer..." both moved to the side while the spotlight
pointed to the curtain from which Iris came. "Iris Spark!" the guests clapped and cheered Some even whistled. While the devil was now lying on the table with his upper body in love and no longer leaning. The only one still confused and shocked at the same time was King Dice.

"Mr. Blue"
"
I told you that I love you"
"
Please, believe me"

"Mr. Blue"
"I have to go now, darling"
"Don't be angry"

"I know that you're tired"
"Know that you're sore and sick and sad for some reason"

The guests both men and women were very enthusiastic to hear Iris sing. The only one who was very shocked was King Dice. His jaw was hanging way down. It was almost touching the table. The devil, however, was more than pleased to hear Iris beautiful singing voice. His tail wagged uncontrollably. King Dice saw it.

"So I leave you with a smile"
"Kiss you on the cheek"
"And you will call it treason"

"Well, that's the way it goes some days"
"A fever comes at you without a warning"

"And I can see it in your face"
"You've been waiting to break since you woke up this morning"

King Dice had never seen his boss as happy as he was now. Well, except when he heard and saw how many souls he had collected with his former show. But now he knew why the witch meant so much to him. It was not hard to see that the boss was in love. King Dice now realizes that if he wants to be back as his boss number one again besides getting that cup's soul is getting Iris together with his boss.

"Mr. Blue"
"Don't hold your head so low"
"That you can't see the sky"

"Mr. Blue"
"It ain't so long since you were flying high"

"Mr. Blue"

"Mr. Blue"

"Mr. Blue"

"Mr. Blue"
"I told you that I love you"
"Please, believe me"

"Ain't she amazing Dice?" said the devil sighing in love as little hearts circled above his head. He looked only at Iris and ignored everything else like they were the only two in the world. "Her other admires seems to think so too" Dice added "What!?" the hearts disappeared as fast as they came when the devil heard that and looked towards the stage. In front of him stood four other male suitors holding bouquets of flowers, boxes of chocolates in the shape of a heart, or some other gifts of affection to present to Iris, who was a bit overwhelmed. The devil growled angrily but saw how Iris was overwhelmed and decided to help her by turning all the presents into dust with a snap of his fingers.

The admires saw it and were shocked that suddenly their gifts turned to dust. Iris, however, was reassured. He smirk proudly by this then snap his fingers again and poof up a magical bouquet of flowers that flew straight into her arms. Iris was a bit surprised, she looked around the room but there was so many people it was hard to pinpoint where the flowers came from but saw the note from Mr.S her secret admirer. Iris read the note attached to the bouquet "My heart only beats for you". She couldn't help but smile and blush from the note and the beautiful flowers. The devil saw her smile and couldn't help but had to smile to seeing how she loved the flowers not knowing that it's from him.

But unnoticed by the devil and also by Iris, someone else was sitting in the club. It was someone who was dressed in a thick black cape. His face was hidden by the hood. One saw only the mouth and the nose more. No one knew who this mysterious person was who was sitting at the bar and had also watched the show. His eyes, however, fell not only on Iris but also on the devil. "Hmm...how interesting" he said and took a big sip from his glass before disappearing in a dark cloud of smoke, leaving the club.
