"So the Kazekage plans to attack Konoha in a joint invasion with a relatively new village called Otogakure." spoke Sarutobi Hiruzen Sandaime Hokage and grandfather to Konohamaru.
"Yes Hokage-sama." Gaara said monotonously.
"Thank you for bringing this to my attention Gaara." Hiruzen said. "Gaara, Temari, has your father been acting strange recently?"
"Now that you mention it, father has been rather closed off and shut in." Temari replied.
"This confirms what we've suspected recently. During the last treaty summit between Suna and Konoha I felt a familiar chakra one that did not belong to Rasa. What you just told me confirms what I suspected, Rasa has been replaced." Hiruzen explained.
"Who has the power capable of replacing our father?" Temari asked in surprise.
"Orochimaru." Hiruzen replied.
"What does Orochimaru benefit from pitting Suna against Konoha?" Temari asked.
"Getting close to Jiji." Naruto said seriously. "Orochimaru knows that only village Kage are permitted to attend the Chunin Exams' final part. Orochimaru would never be allowed to attend the exams as himself since he's a wanted criminal of Konoha. So he would need a disguise and he knew Gaara was unstable enough to unleash Shukaku without much provocation."
Temari knew this wasn't going to end well for Gaara if Orochimaru gets what he wants. But thanks to Naruto's new seal she felt a little better. But what would happen if Orochimaru found a way around Naruto's new seal.
"Gaara we can't let Orochimaru know anything about Naru-chan's new seal." Temari said firmly like an older sister, not just a teammate.
"Agreed. And Temari, isn't it a bit early to be so affectionate toward Naruto?" Gaara asked his sister.
"Shut up Gaara, it was a slip of the tongue." Temari protested her feelings.

"Cool, come with me to Ichiraku's and you'll never go back to the cheap stuff." Naruto proposed.
"Should I expect you back at the hotel Temari?" Gaara asked.
"I wouldn't wait up." Temari replied. 'Do this right and I won't be there at all my dear brother.'

Naruto and Temari arrived at Ichiraku to find three young kids waiting for them.
"Naru-neechan you're late." Konohamaru said in mock frustration.

"Hai." Konohamaru replied.
"What's the nature of Naruto's relationship with her?" Temari asked the young boy.
"Neechan has a crush on her but Sakura won't give Neechan the time of day because she's too busy chasing Sasuke." Konohamaru explained.
Temari smirked so Naruto had a crush but it wasn't anything serious, maybe she could get Naruto for herself.

"I'll have one medium tonkotsu ramen." Temari said not wanting to try anything too big.
"Coming right up." Teuchi said with a bright smile on his face.
Teuchi knew Naruto never brought anyone other than Konohamaru, Udon, and Meogi to Ichiraku so this girl must be special.
