Three Days Later- Dagoba Municipal Beach Park-
That beach, which used to be a popular destination for visitors to enjoy the ocean view, has now been reduced into a junkyard. On the sand, trash was piled up everywhere, yet it was a good starting point for Izuku's training.
Izuku wore a white T-shirt early in the morning with the kanji symbol 'All Might' in bold lettering, blue trousers, and signature red boots. He started pulling on a rope attached to a damaged refrigerator. The Symbol of Peace was perched atop it, watching his pupil's progress below.
"Keep going, Izuku!" The Quirkless teen looked to his right to see Tekkan standing atop a broken car, checking his phone. The Sayian wore his casual attire and backpack. He kept checking the time on a stopwatch app to see how long Izuku could go without stopping.
"Come on, put some back into it," All Might encourage as Izuku grunts, struggling to pull the fridge. "You know, people move these things every day, ya know, and most of them don't even have super strength.
Tekkan then pushes a button to stop the timer. "And times up!" He called out with a wave.
The green-haired teen knelt after dropping the rope. "Well, yeah, but…There an extra 600 pounds sitting on top," Izuku pointed out respectfully, taking a break.
"Nah, I even lost weight, so I'm so down to 580 these days in this form, at least." All Might claimed.
Tekkan front flipped down to the quirkless teen, complementing his persistence. "At least you're making an effort."
Izuku sighed before sarcastically replying, "Yeah…an effort."Why do you have me dragging trash across the beach, anyway?" He asked his idol.
The One For All Quirk user laughed before pulling out his phone and snapping pictures of his successor. "Take a look at yourself. You're not ready for my power."
The quirkless teen gasps as his eyes become watery. "But I thought you said that I was worthy!" He then lowers his head, wailing in shame.
"I'm talking about your weak body." The Symbol Peace stepped over to him and took more pictures. Izuku stopped and turned to face him.
"My Quirk, One For All, is a whole lot to handle. The combined physical abilities of everyone who's ever used it create a hurricane of pure force. An unprepared body can't fully inherit it. Your arms and legs will shoot up if you try to." All Might explained to his student.
Tekkan cringed at the thought of his friend's limbs ripped apart from his body. "This Quirk is more dangerous than I thought."
"Seriously!?" Izuku shrieked in fear, but then he realized something. "Okay. So this whole trash thing is really some kind of hardcore gym workout. And…you're my trainer, and Teks is my spotter."
The One For All Quirk user praised his analogy. "You got it. But there's another reason, too." He turned to walk back towards the broken fridge.
"I did a little online research yesterday. Turns out this part of the beach used to be beautiful, but it's been a total mess for the last few years." All Might informed them, tapping it with his right knuckle.
"That's right." Izuku stood up, looking around at all the trash around him. "Because of the ocean currents, anything that's dropped in the water ends up here. People take advantage of that when they're illegally dumping their trash. Now, all the locals avoid this place."
All Might walked around the fridge, placing his hand on top of it. "Heroes these days are all about showing off and capturing flashy villains." With a mighty grip, he begins squashing the object.
"Things were different before Quirks. Service was what mattered. Back then, heroes would help the community. Even if it was kinda boring."After that, a gust of wind wipes out the trash behind him.
It displays an ocean scene while the sun is rising. "You will restore the coastline for this entire section of the beach. That is the first step on your path, young man, toward becoming a hero." All Might states to him.
"Um…All this?" Izuku's eyes widen, looking around the entire beach's worth of trash. "But… There's so much. That's impossible!"
"Good news is that you don't have to overdo it since you have almost a year to do this. I mean, ten months worth it til the entrance exams roll in for U.A.," Tekkan reassured him.
All Might stood up, placing a fist on his hip. "Young Midoriya, you want to go to get U.A., right?"
"Well, yeah. Of course," The green-haired teen replied. "You went there. So it must be the best school around, right?" He looks down at his left fist with a smile while blushing. "It's a long shot. But still, I'm gonna shoot for the moon. U.A."
The Symbol of Peace acknowledged his commitment. You've got a lot of spirit, fanboy!" He turned to admire the view of the sun. "You've got a lot of spirit, fanboy! But, as I've mentioned, hero-ing isn't easy without a Quirk. It's not fair, but that's the reality. And UA is the hardest hero course to get into."
All Might pulled out papers from his pockets and unfolded them. "But not to worry, kid. I've got you covered. With the help of my handy 'Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan!' Follow this to the letter, and the beach will be cleaned up quickly. I also detailed every other aspect of your life while I was at it." He stated, handing him a schedule.
"Wow, you even have my sleep scheduled," The quirkless teen said, impressed by how much thought his teacher put into it.
Curious about it, Tekkan asked Izuku to pass it on to him. "Can I see it?"
Izuku complied, handing over the schedule to Tekkan, who quickly scanned through it. He then frowned and then became concerned. "It got every minute of his day scheduled, from day to night…but…."
The tailed alien turned to All Might, a serious look on his face. "All Might, I have a concern," he began, getting his attention.
"Izuku won't have the chance to test his quirkQuirkre the entrance exam. Once he finishes this plan of yours, he won't be able to control One for All enough to fight without drawbacks in the next ten months."
All Might listened attentively, then nodded in understanding. "You make a valid point, Young Tekkan. I've been so focused on building a strong foundation for Izuku that I overlooked the importance of allowing him time to develop control over my power later."
The Symbol of Peace scratched his chin, thinking, "You're right. Young Midoriya should be able to test and refine the QuirkQuirkre the entrance exam. Very well then, I'll change it." He said with his signature simile.
The Quirkless teen smiled at his idol. "Thank you, All Might. I also want to maximize this training and be fully prepared for the exam."
Tekkan nodded, glad that they had found a solution. "That's the spirit! We're in this together, Izuku. We'll help you become the hero you want to be."
All Might smiled warmly at his eager student. "Young Midoriya. It's my duty as your mentor to support your growth so don't worry a thing. So you decide if you are okay with this."
The green-haired teen clenched his hands into fists and gave them a determined look."I have to work harder for anyone else to get in. So what choice do I have, right?!"
Chapter 5 - Fruits of One's Training
January- Mount Paozu-
Nine months of intense training had ended, and Tekkan and Son Gohan stood before each other. As the sun began to set, they started their final sparing session.
The jet black-haired teen wears a blue gi with a white bow-tied obi over his waist, red wristbands, and dark blue shoes. He stands with feet shoulder-width apart, slightly angling one foot forward. His knees are bent, and his hands are raised. His right hand is closer to his face, clenched, while the other is positioned near his left side, balled into a fist.
His teacher stands with his feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, and his body relaxed yet ready to move at a moment's notice. His hands are typically raised in front of him, with one hand slightly forward and the other hand closer to his body.
Both fighters took a moment to assess each other before Son made the first move. He dashed forward, reeling back his left arm for a jab at Tekkan's face. But Tekkan quickly opened his right palm to block it.
"His reaction time has improved greatly," Son smirked as he followed up with a roundhouse kick.
But Tekkan dodges it with a back handspring. He counters with rapid punches, but Son easily evades each one. They then exchanged blows, each landing a few hits but mostly blocking or parrying the other's attacks.
The spiky-haired alien performs a right hook, but Son ducks under it to evade the attack. Gohan retaliates with a knee kick, but Tekkan uses his tail to sweep Son's feet from under him. But the retired martial artist backflips to avoid any attacks coming.
"Take this!" The teenage Saiyan raises his left leg down as he tries to axe-kick Gohan. But his mentor sees this coming, grabs Tekkan's left ankle, follows up with a shoulder throw, and sends him crashing through a few large boulders.
Son chuckled at the damage he's done. "Hehe. That must have hurt." But to his shock, his student bursts out of the rubble and dashes back at him. "Already?!"
The tailed alien then reeled back his right arm to uppercut Son's chin and front-kick him in the torso, sending him flying toward the surrounding forest.
But the old martial artist jumps off a nearby tree, using it to propel himself back toward Tekkan. He stretches out his left foot to front jump kick him. But the Saiyan smirked as his mentor's attack went right through his body, fading away his illusion.
"The Afterimage?!" Son's eyes widen, momentarily impressed. In seconds, he quickly turns around to see his student behind him.
Tekkan's body released white steam as veins grew all over him. Then, his white aura erupted from his body. "Take my Explosive Wave!"
He releases his aura in a large burst of Ki from all over his body, pushing back Son with the force of the shockwave. The retired martial artist holds his arms up to block the attack and slides back a few meters.
But as the shockwave died, Son lowered his arms and realized his student was missing. "Now, where did he go?" He mutters, looking around him to find him.
"Up here!" He gasps as he looks up to see Tekkan high above the forest with a smirck on his face. Then he stretches out his palms down towards him, reactivating his aura. "Eat this!"
The teenage Saiyan then fired out a few dozen small blue Ki blasts. Then, he focused his energy on his right palm and followed up by firing a Ki Wave at Son, which propelled him higher in the air.
Son saw these attacks rain down on him, but he remained calm. "I can't let his attacks destroy this area...and he knows this, too..."
The old martial artist swatted away each of his Ki blasts and then uppercut the Ki wave in the air, resulting in a chain reaction of multiple large energy explosions.
*BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM**BOOM*
But as the smoke dispersed, Tekkkan remained in the air.
"It's time for that technique!" The teenage Saiyan cups his hands and moves to his right side. "KA...ME..."
He channels his aura into his palms and concentrates his Ki at a single point, where a glowing blue sphere of Ki appears. "HA...ME...
The energy intensifies, swirling and pulsating, growing larger with each passing moment. Then it was ready.
"HAAAAAAAA!" Tekkan thrusts his hands forward, extending his arms fully as the energy sphere fired into a massive, powerful blue Ki wave. The Kamehameha roars with power, tearing through the air, and races toward its target.
Son smirks, recognizing his own technique being used against him. "So that's your plan, Tekkan. Let's see how you handle this!" he says, retaliating by charging up his own Kamehameha and chanting, "KA...ME...HA...ME...HA!"
He fired a massive whitish-blue Ki wave, meeting Tekkan head-on. Both Ki waves collided in mid-air, creating an explosive clash of energy.
Shockwaves rippled across the land, shaking the trees and sending small debris flying. The blue and whitish-blue energies struggled against each other; their power appeared to be evenly matched as Tekkan and Son poured their strength into the beams.
The teenage Saiyan gritted his teeth, feeling the power surging through him. "I can't falter now!" he shouted with determination, his muscles tensing as he pushed harder against his master's Kamehameha.
Son's eyes narrowed, impressed by the spiky-haired alien's resilience. "You've come a long way, Tekkan. But there's still more to learn," " he replied, increasing the intensity of his own Kamehameha.
With determination, Tekkan poured more ki into his attack, causing his Ki wave to slowly push back against Son's. "I can do this! And I won't give up!" he shouted to himself as his aura flared brightly.
The old martial artist's eyes widened, impressed by his student's determination. "I wonder if I can still pull off that move?... Wouldn't hurt to try." Son decided.
With a deep breath, he closed his eyes and tapped into his last reservoirs of Ki. Suddenly, a surge of power coursed through his body, causing a transformation unlike any Tekkan had ever witnessed before.
Son's appearance changed dramatically as his muscles bulged, and his height increased significantly. His body was now towering and heavily built. His once small, stubby frame was now an imposing figure, with muscles rippling across his entire form.
His Chinese martial arts uniform strained against his massive muscles, the sleeves tearing as he flexed his arms. The orange jacket barely covered his muscular torso, and the black shirt underneath was now stretched to its limits. Yet, the green hat remained atop his head.
Once Son opened his eyes, Tekkan was left in shock. "W-What is this?! His appearance...it's almost like when Mr. Toshi inflates into All Might!"
However, the difference in power was too great. Soon, Son's Kamehameha began to overpower Tekkan's, pushing the young martial artist back.
N-No... I-I can't...t-too strong!" His voice wavered, the strain showing on his face, and his eyes were wide in disbelief. Sweat trickled down his forehead, and his hands trembled as he struggled to hold his attack. "How is he this strong?!"
With a final push, the master's Ki wave overpowered his students, resulting in a massive white and deep blue explosion.
*BOOM*
The force of it sent the teenage Saiyan hurtling backward through the air in a trail of smoke. He crashed into the ground, creating a small crater upon impact.
With a deep sigh, the retired martial artist reverted back to his base form. He looked on with concern and immediately rushed to Tekkan's side. "Are you alright?" Son asked, extending a hand to help him up.
Tekkan groaned and coughed in pain before he sat up to face his mentor. He then took the proffered hand and stood up, panting but smiling. "Yeah, I'm okay. But was that Sensei? It was incredible," he asked in awe and admiration.
Son started to explain. "That was my Max Power. It's a special form that grants me great strength with limits, of course. My speed is slowed to the point where I can hardly move, and using any attack while transformed will drop nearly all of my Ki."
The teenage Saiyan nodded, and his respect for his mentor grew for going all out. "To think he would use that form on me..."
But the old martial artist smiled back, proud of his student's progress regardless. "But awe-inspiring progress, Tekkan." The retired martial artist said with a smirk, wiping his brow. "You've come a long way since we started. Your power and skills have grown immensely."
Tekkan wiped the sweat off his brow and nodded with a grin on his face. "I couldn't have done it without your guidance, Master Gohan."
The jet black-haired teen's clothes are now ripped and covered in burn marks. But he then noticed Son turn to walk inside his hut, making him curious. "I wonder what he's doing?"
Seconds later, Son emerged from his home, holding a long six-foot orange pole. "The Power Pole is a weapon of great strength and flexibility. It can extend and retract at your command. Use it wisely in future battles," he explained, handing it over to his student.
Tekkan's right hand reached out, wrapping around the Power Pole. He swung it a few times to test it and palm twirled it around his fingers. "It's so light and smooth."
But Son reached into his pocket and pulled out a small orange sphere with four stars. He then extended it towards Tekkan, offering it. "And this, Tekkan, holds a special meaning. It represents how far you've come in your training and the strength you've attained."
The jet black-haired teen accepted it but still questioned its origin. "How did you come into possession?"
The old martial artist smiled, thinking back. "Many years ago, during my own adventures, I stumbled upon this orb. It served as a reminder of the challenges I faced and the growth I achieved. Now, I want you to have it as a constant reminder of your journey." He replied with a thumbs up.
Touched by this, the teenage Saiyan held it close to his heart. "I'll treasure it, Master. Trust me on that."
As if on cue, the sound of an engine approached, growing louder by the second. Bulma's vehicle pulled up near the hut. A smile flashed on her face as she rolled down the window. "Hey, little bro! It's time to head back home. You ready?"
Tekkan then went inside to get his backpack. He fastened the Power Pole to his bag's strap and placed the Four-Star Ball in its left side pocket. A few seconds later, he came out and glanced at Son. "I guess it's time to say goodbye, Master."
Son approached Tekkan and placed his right hand on his shoulder. "You've become an exceptional warrior, Tekkan. But remember, the journey never truly ends. Seek out new challenges and continue to grow. And when the time is right, consider seeking guidance from Master Roshi. The one who taught me what I know now. He can further refine your skills."
The teenage Saiyan nodded, taking note of his suggestions. "I'll keep that in mind, Master Gohan. Thank you for everything."
As Tekkan climbed into the blue-haired teen's vehicle, he cast one last look at his mentor. Son stood there, his face filled with pride and affection. With a final wave, Tekkan bid farewell to Mount Paozu as the Turbo Jeep drove off.
Age 749-February 1st-
A month passed, and both Tekkan and Izuku continued their individual training at their own pace. Each day, they pushed themselves beyond what was expected, striving for greatness.
As the sun began to rise, casting a warm glow over the landscape, Tekkan and Toshinori stepped out of the white trunk that had been used to collect trash. Toshinori wore a black trench coat with a white scarf, while Tekkan maintained his casual attire.
Carrying a giant McDonald's bag in one hand and a half-eaten Mc Griddle in the other, Tekkan looked satisfied. "At least we made a pit stop at McDonald's. I was starving," he said, finishing his eighth sandwich.
The pro hero held a Powerade and a small 'Mcds' bag in either hand.
Toshinori chuckled at his friend's massive appetite. "You know, you didn't have to pay for those. I wouldn't have minded treating you," he remarked, sipping his drink.
Tekkan shrugged, not caring if he paid for his own food. "It's alright, Mr Toshinori. I can easily pay for my own breakfast."
"AAAAAAHHHHH!"
Their conversation was abruptly interrupted by a piercing scream that echoed through the air. Both Tekkan and Toshinori turned their heads in the direction of the sound, recognizing it instantly.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" They watched in astonishment as a shirtless and sweaty Izuku stood atop a massive pile of trash, screaming at the sky.
Toshinori rushed to the edge of the steps, his eyes wide with awe. "Hey, hey. Holy crap, kid." The beach was spotless, with no piece of trash in sight.
"You even cleaned up outside the area I told you to. Seriously... there's not one spec of trash on the beach. You exceeded my expectations." Toshinori said in utter amazement.
Tekkan, too, was impressed by his friend's incredible progress. "Izuku, you did! You did it! The beach is spotless!"
"Holy... Stinkin'..." Toshinori transformed into his All Might form and walked over to join them. "Super Crap!" he said, smiling with pride.
Izuku, exhausted from the morning's training, started to stumble, but Tekkan caught him by grabbing by his tail before setting him down. "Great job," Tekkan said, smiling proudly.
"See...Teks...I did it." The Quirkless teen muttered out.
All Might walked over to them as Tekkan put his friend down on the ground. "Excellent work."
Izuku then looked up at his idol, praying that what he did was enough to earn his power. "All Might. Do you think I'm ready now?"
"Yeah, you did good, kid. I gotta say I'm impressed. I knew you had it in you, but this is beyond." The Symbol of Peace said sincerely.
Hopefully, you still have an appetite because we got you some good ol' McDonald's," he added, raising the bag in front of his student as he took it.
All Might showed off a picture on his phone in both of their faces, "Take a look."
The two see the picture of Izuku on day one of his training. "It's you who barely struggled to pull a fridge." Izuku reddens his face out of embarrassment, which causes the Saiyan to snicker.
With the sun glazing on his back, the green-haired teen's muscle mass increased greatly as his six-pack was shown.
"Look how far you've come. Such improvement! There's still a long road ahead of you before you can inherit my full power set." All Might then stretched out his arms. "But it's starting to look like you can do it."
Izuku gave a weak smile, his gaze fixed on his right hand, and tears flowed down his face.
"Guys... Do I deserve this? Are you sure?" he asked, his voice trembling. "You guys put so much time and energy into helping me. How did I end up so lucky?"
"C'mon, take pride in this. Nobody can pull this off without powers in almost ten months alone." Tekkan said, wrapping his right arm around his shoulders. He then looked at All Might.
"I think it's time, All Might. The sooner he gets his quirkQuirk better." The jet black-haired alien warned him.
"Well, of course!" The One For All Quirk user turned to Izuku, "Now. For your true reward, Izuku Midoriya."
Izuku's determination shone through as he responded with a resolute "Yes, sir!"
"Good!" After a dramatic pause, All Might reached into his distinct bangs and pulled out a strand of hair.
"Someone told me this once. There's a difference between being lucky and deserving. One's an accident, the other a reward. Never get the two confused. Take that to heart, young man. This gift. You earn it with your own valeted efforts."
All Might extend his right hand in front of Izuku. "Now, eat this."
"Huh?/Say what?" Both teenagers exclaimed simultaneously, their faces contorted in shock.
"To inherit my power, you get to swallow some of my DNA. That's how it works," All Might clarified, sheepishly rubbing his head.
"T-This isn't it exactly how I imagined it," he said, already panicking.
"Come on! Eat! Eat! EAT!" All Might yelled out in a hurry.
Fear filled Izuku as he realized he would have to endure it. Without hesitation, he swiftly swallowed the strand of hair, a look of disgust crossing his face. "T-That was gross!" He cringed, already feeling like throwing up.
But just a minute later, Izuku began stretching his arms and legs, testing his newfound abilities. "I don't feel that different," he noted.
"Hahaha! Well, of course not. Your body needs to process my DNA first." All Might explained.
The number one hero turned on his phone to check the time. "It should kick in after two hours, three at most. Since your body is a well-exhausted young man, feel free to take the rest of weekend off."
Tekkan chimed in excitedly. "Hey, Izuku, why don't you come to Capsule Corp for training? You'll get to see my home for the first time, and you can work on mastering your QuirkQuirkuku's eyes widened with joy. "Really? That would be amazing! I've always been curious about Capsule Corp, and training with you sounds incredible."
All Might nodded, pleased with the suggestion. "That's a great idea, Tekkan. For the rest of the month, Izuku, focus on mastering One For All under Tekkan's guidance. I believe this will be a valuable opportunity for both of you."
"Oh, right! I almost forgot, Tekkan," the newly-quirked teen exclaimed, retrieving something from his backpack.
Izuku pulled out a small orange ball with one star and turned to face them. "I found this while I was wrapping up my cleaning. I thought it was important, so I kept it," he explained, offering the ball to Tekkan.
Tekkan took the ball and examined it, tossing it in the air before catching it. "I don't know. Any thoughts All Might?"
All Might then glazed at the mysterious jewel but didn't recognize it. "No idea! Never seen it in all my years!" He declared with his signature simile.
The teenage Saiyan looked at them once more before returning to Izuku. "Can I hold on to it?." He asked.
The green-haired teen nodded. "Yeah, of course. Go ahead. After all, you bought me breakfast, so it's the least I can do."
With that, Izuku slung his backpack over his shoulder and approached the staircase, leaving for home. "See you guys later!" he called out, waving goodbye.
Both All Might and Tekkan waved back, watching Izuku depart until he was out of sight. Now, they were the only ones left on the beach.
Tekkan then put his newly gifted orb in his backpack, holding his breakfast bag in his right hand.
"Anyway, I got back home. You'll be fine by yourself?" The Saiyan asked the Symbol of Peace.
"Indeed, I will. Take care, Young Tekkan," All Might replied with a thumbs up.
Tekkan smirked in response. "Later!" he replied with a salute before walking away from the beach.
Left alone, All Might sighed, looking at the massive pile of trash on the seawall where Izuku had once stood. "All that's left is figuring out how to get all this trash to the junkyard...And my truck is too small for this," he muttered to himself.
"I wish I brought a bigger truck."
Preview: Tekkan and Izuku embark on Capsule Corp, where the latter gets a tour of the company's vast wealth. However, their focus is soon interrupted when they discover a new usage of One For All. How will this change All Might's chosen one?
