Aztec 13 chapter 12 . Jan 1: Thanks!
Monster King chapter 12 . Jan 1: Thanks! I'll do my best!
(⌐■_■)Today marks Black History Month, a period in this year that only comes once (oh, bars!) But until I post another chapter, thank you for reading this. May God bless you all, and have a wonderful day.
Feeling nauseous, Ochako slowly slid down the fake bomb and dropped to the floor on all fours, groaning.
Tenya broke out his acting and waved his arms frantically, his expression filled with concern. "Are you okay?"
He quickly took off his helmet, placing it down as he jogged to her before patting her on the back as she began vomiting.
Monitor Room-
"What a weird way for this to end. The losers are barely touched, and the winners are both on the ground. " Denki said, watching the match's aftermath.
"Does this really count as a win for the heroes?" Zrya asked.
Fumikage closed his eyes and mused, "How does the old saying go? They lost the battle but won the war."
"This class is intense," Tsuyu uttered.
"Indeed." All Might said. "Admittedly, I didn't think it would go this far." He glanced behind him to see a smiling Tekkan. "But…I guess it was worth letting them go through it after all."
The Symbol of Peace turned his head around, coughing into a balled fist. "Ahem, I'll go and check up on the teams! Everyone, stay here until I return!"
Then, the pro hero dashed out of the room through an open door as few flinched or were startled.
"I kinda envy Team A," Ejirou spoke up. "That Bakugo's strong; bet he really would have pushed my limits."
Tekkan chuckled at him, understanding. "Hehe. I was thinking the same thing, man."
"You two actually wanna throw hands against him?" Mina asked in disbelief.
"Yeah! Why?!" Both teens asked in unison.
"You saw what he did out there!" The Acid Quirk exclaimed in disbelief. "I'm honestly surprised they can let someone like him in the hero course."
"Considering his explosive power, grades, and mindset, it's not surprising." Tekkan pointed out dryly.
Five Minutes Later-
In the damaged building, the older One for All Quirk user, with his fists on his hips, watched a pair of transport robots carry the unconscious younger One for All Quirk user on a stretcher.
"To the nurse's office." One of the robots commanded.
"I know." The other one responded.
As the two short robots made their way off the floor, All Might noticed Katsuki was still standing in the same way as before, but this time, he looked at his right palm while shaking and sweating.
"AHH…"
"My attacks…Deku predicted them. He made me look like an idiot. And somehow managed to win the exercise..."
"AHH…AHH…" He began to hyperventilate, letting his loss sink in faster. "Does that mean, if we really fought…if we didn't hold back at all…Deku would beat me!?"
Suddenly, All Might placed his left hand on Katsuki's left shoulder, calming him down.
"Young Bakugo, cool your jets. Let's go review your work. Whether you win or lose, you can always take something away from an experience like this—as long as you're open to learning," he reassured.
Monitor Room-
"Well, despite the results," The Symbol of Peace started, walking back to the front of the room. "The MVP of this exercise is Young Iida."
Nearby, the Explosion Quirk, nauseous Zero Gravity Quirk, and Engine Quirk users stood beside each other, but Tenya acknowledged him in shock. "Huh?"
Everyone else gasped in surprise except for Tekkan, Momo, and Shoto.
"Shouldn't it be one of the heroes instead, since they're the winners?" Tsuyu questioned.
"Hmm. Valid question." All Might remarked. "Why didn't I choose one of those two? Who has a guess?"
"Sir, I can tell you why," Momo said, raising a hand before lowering it.
"Iida embraced this challenge. He was the only one who truly adapted to his assigned role. I'll explain. Bakugo's judgment was clouded by a personal grudge against Midoriya. As you pointed out earlier, launching a large-scale indoor attack was foolish. It could have been disastrous." She began with a serious expression.
With his head lower, the sandy blond-haired teen kept silent. The curious Tekkan held up a hand. "So, what about Izuku?"
"Similarly, Midoriya's last-minute plan was also poorly thought out, considering the amount of damage he received. He rendered himself helpless. It wasn't wise yet, yet since the start, he did the most to ensure his team's victory by giving Uraraka the moment to seize the fake weapon while stalling for time by using everything he had to fight." The Creation Quirk user answered.
"Speaking of Uraraka, she did let her guard down mid-battle, and her final attack was far too reckless considering the hypothetical stakes. If she had treated the fake weapon as though it were real, she would never have risked using such an imprecise move.
The brunette, too, looked down, ashamed.
"Iida was fully prepared for his opponent's arrival. He had a strategy and never lost sight of his mission to protect the dummy weapon. Even if he was foiled in the end."
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user noticed Tenya's blissful expression as he giggled. "Someone's feeling himself."
"Technically, the hero team won, yes, but they took advantage of the fact that it was training and nothing more," Momo stated.
Everyone except Katsuki looked at her in silent amazement. Tekkan smiled at her analysis. "She's really is incredible."
"This girl really has good eyes on her." All Might thought, semi-speechless before interjecting.
"Yes…Well, you overlooked a few things. Young Iida could have relaxed a little bit in the exercise, but… otherwise, you nailed it!" He said, giving her a weak thumbs up.
"One should always start with the basics and devote themselves wholeheartedly to learning. That's the only real way to become a top Hero." Momo concluded, with her head high.
"She really did belong in recommendations with like me or Tekkan." Zrya thought in awe.
"Now then. Time to blow this joint. Let's move on to the next match! Think about everything we saw and discussed as you tackle his training for yourself."
All Might announced, regaining everyone's attention. He has the same hero and villain boxes from before on both sides.
"Yes, sir!" Responded by everyone in unison except Teams A and D.
All Might then places both of his hands into two boxes again.
"Next up, I declare that the second teams to fight will be…"
Reaching into both boxes, the pro hero pulled out two balls. The hero ball was labeled 'B,' and the villain ball was labeled 'I.'
The Symbol of Peace then addresses the rest of the class. "Match 2! Team B will be the heroes, while Team I will be the villains."
"This way, please." All Might instructed the two teams before the six of them walked out the door.
But Tekkan stopped to look at his right palm, which had a capsule labeled 'S.' "Finally, a chance to fight." He thought, excited.
Chp 13: Battle Trial Part 2 - Shattered Icicles
Two Minutes Later-
Outside a new building, Team B stood ready, while inside, Team I faced a replica of the fake bomb within a closed-door room.
Toru aimlessly walked around the room, passing the time, while Ojiro took deep breaths with closed eyes and stretched his arms. Both of them had an earbud in their right ear.
"Who knows? Perhaps if they met, Gohan or Roshi would've been good teachers for Ojiro." Tekkan thought fondly.
The teenage Saiyan gazed directly at the fake bomb, his hood over his head and a small, green rectangular lens device covering his left eye and extending to his left ear. It featured a silver frame with blue-colored left-side buttons.
"So, as villains, all we have to do is keep heroes away from the bomb. Since the building has multiple floors, it'll take the heroes some time to find it, even with three members. In these close quarters, fighting hard to hand is wiser." The spiky-haired alien pondered, arms crossed over his chest.
"Hey, Tekkan, Ojiro." Toru called out, getting their attention, and turned to face her.
She inhaled. "Let's get serious. I'm going to take off all my clothes and totally disappear," the Invisibility Quirk user reasoned, removing her gloves and shoes but leaving her earbuds on.
"Yeah. Cool," The Tail Quirk user replied with a smile and looked away, awkwardly scratching his right cheek with an index finger. "Hagakure's using her Quirk to our advantage, but it's kinda weird to know there's a naked girl standing by me. What exactly am I supposed to do here?"
"Not a bad plan, Toru." The Ki wielder told her with a thumbs-up, still staring in her direction. "If my eyes can't track her, so it's fine."
"Uh…Just don't look, okay?" Toru awkwardly asked, confusing her teammates before picking up her clothes and putting them on the side of the room.
"What's the difference?" Mashirao asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Anyway, let's have a strategy meeting before we start," Tekkan suggested, curling an index finger at them, which they huddled around him.
"If we're going to fight as a team, we need to talk about our strengths and how we can use them."
"Agreed. Considering that Nicolas and Todoroki are our opponents besides Shoji, we shouldn't underestimate them." Mashirao admitted, lifting his tail.
"As you see, my Quirk is Tail, and it's like a third arm in a sense. It can be used defensively or offensively, and combined with my martial arts, it makes me a good close-range fighter." He stated, lowering that limb.
"And my Quirk is Invisibility. I can sneak anywhere or behind anyone without them noticing me!" Toru cheered happily.
"Like Mashirao. I have a tail that I can use in combat or casually." Tekkan began, lifting his tail and waving it in front of them before dropping it.
"But I can also manipulate my energy to enhance my physical abilities and unleash powerful attacks." He raised his right palm to demonstrate, forming a small blue Ki sphere.
"Wow…awesome..." Toru muttered as she approached the Ki ball, but Tekkan dispersed it. "Awww. Party pooper." She groaned, causing the Saiyan to snort.
"So, what's that device on your left eye for?" Mashirao inquired, pointing to his own left eye.
Tekkan smirked, pointing to it. "This is my Scouter, or at least that's what my Pops called it when he gave it to me. It lets me scan any living being to track and read their power level."
The invisible teen gasped, amazed. "Ooooooo. He's such a tech-savvy."
The blond-haired teen nodded, "I see. That gives us an advantage in locating our opponents. So how do we go about defending the bomb?" He questioned.
"If you really want my opinion, I'd like you both to stay in this room." Tekkan requested kindly.
"Mashirao, since you're good at fighting up close, you should be defending the bomb while you, Toru, back him up since you are nearly invisible." He explained.
The Tail Quirk user blinked twice. "Ummm…that's not a bad plan but Tekkan. What about you?"
The teenage Saiyan smiled at him. "I'll head downstairs to fight against the heroes alone."
"Look alive, kids!" All Might instructed over the building's loudspeakers. "Show us you're the embodiment of good...or evil! Let's go!"
Then the buzzer blared.
*BEEP*
"It's time to go." Tekkan raised his left index finger and tapped on a button on the scouter, activating it. The green lens flashed on, scanning the entire building as he looked down.
Same Time-
Once Team B entered the building and stopped, Shoji spread out his six arms. The tips of four of the arms morphed into ears.
Zrya went into Lycan Mode before going on all fours and took five deep breaths, smelling out her targets. She sensed each of them but couldn't sniff out the fake bomb. "Welp, that's out the window."
One of Mezo's tentacles morphed into a mouth as he spoke to Shoto, who approached him from behind.
"One's in the hall one the north side of the fourth floor. Another's on the same level somewhere. The last one is in the same spot. All three are barefoot. I bet the invisible one plans to sneak up and ambush us." The Dupli-Arms Quirk user stated as the Lycan Shifter Quirk user stood up.
"Can't find the weapon, but I can tell that they are most likely near it. Tekkan may try a frontal assault. Woof!" She added.
"For your own safety, go outside, you two." The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user told them, walking past.
This left Mezo and Zrya confused, and they shared a puzzled look.
"I'm sure our opponents intend to fight a defensive battle." Shoto stopped a few meters ahead and held up his right palm, emitting a cold mist.
"This will slow them down." He placed that palm against a wall, and ice started to generate from his right boot, too.
The ice reached all the halls and rooms on the first floor and kept spreading up the stairs.
Back with Team I-
"Tekkan, why are you just standing there?" Toru asked in confusion as she and Mashirao stared at the teenage Saiyan who kept track of their opposing team.
"I can pinpoint their locations on the first floor, but why are Mezo and Zrya walking out of the building." He wondered.
But Tekkan's scouter started beeping rapidly, scanning Shoto's silhouette as his power level rose. "Oh no!"
"Huh?" Mashirao exhaled, but to his surprise, his breath was visible.
"You two! Too me!" The spiky-haired alien quickly spun around and dashed towards his shocked teammates.
Back with Team B-
Outside by the building's doorframe, a gasping base Zrya and Mezo looked up as Shoto finished freezing the entire building.
"All with just ice." The dark purple-haired teen thought, amazed.
Monitor Room-
Almost everyone, including All Might, tried to stave off the effects of Shoto's attack.
"H-He's attempting to incapacitate them without compromising the weapon or his teammates." All Might said, shivering. "Take close note of his technique, students."
"Whoa, he's so strong!" Ejirou commented, impressed.
Back in the class, with widened eyes, Katsuki looked up at the monitors in shock. "H-He's capable of this!?"
Back with Team I-
"Phew, that was close!" Tekkan sighed, hovering over the frozen floor, holding Toru and Mashirao by their arms.
"W-W-What?" The Tailed Quirk user looked up at his teammate's Tailcoper in disbelief. "H-He's using his own tail's rotation to fly! Smart!"
"Are you guys alright?" Tekkan asked in concern, descending to the ground before dropping his teammates on the icy floor.
"I owe you one, Tekkan, thanks." The Tail Quirk user answered.
"Y-Yeah…were good," the Invisibility Quirk user reassured before shivering and sneezing, "Achoo!"
"That's right. You don't have your shoes on." Mashirao realized, frowning after seeing her frozen shoes nearby. "And they frozen solid..."
When the teenage Saiyan saw this, he pulled a capsule from his belt pockets, clicked it, and dropped it before him. Smoke appeared and cleared to reveal a copy of his casual sneakers.
Picking the sneaker pair up, he offered them to Toru. "Here, you can borrow these if you want, and if we win, I'll let you keep them."
The invisible teen blushed at the spiky-haired alien before taking the sneakers. "T-Thanks."
"No problem." Tekkan smiled before he turned towards the doorway, rescanning the building from his scouter.
"I'm not surprised that Shoto tried ending this match as fast as possible. I should know since we took the same entrance exam, and he knows I'm his biggest threat. Sorry, but no offense," he politely stated.
"None taken." The blond-haired teen muttered, letting out a cold breath. "He might think we're all frozen and can't move."
"Probably, but Zrya or Mezo will definitely know what floor we're on. But the plan hasn't changed." Tekkan informed them. "I'm going down to keep them two busy while you two defend the bomb."
"W-Wait, are you sure you can handle them?" Toru asked, concerned, but Tekkan looked over his right shoulder and smirked.
"Trust me. I was born for this." After that, he dashed through the doorframe, leaving his allies staring at him.
The Invisibility Quirk user scratched the back of her head. "Welp. Guess we're dealing with Shoji. Any ideas."
The Tail Quirk user rubbed under his chin, "Actually…" Giving his teammate a simile, he said. "I've got one, but it all depends on you, Hagakure."
Tekkan walked down the icy floors and locked his scouter on the lower floors. "Mezo split up, huh? Toru and Mashirao can handle him. I need to concentrate on the others."
One Minute Later-
Upon reaching the second floor, Tekkan slid to a stop at the end of an unfrozen hallway, surprising him. "Interesting. Shoto must have cleared the ice here."
Before him, Zrya leaned against a wall with his hands in her hands in her pockets next to Shoto, who stood up and stared at the Saiyan.
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user narrowed his visible eye at him. "Looks like you broke from my last ice attack."
"Which begs the question: Did you leave your teammates trapped above us just to come here to face us or not?" The Lycan Quirk user questioned.
"Who knows, really? At least my costume keeps me from freezing." The teenage Saiyan retorted, shrugging. "Still, pulling off a move like that could've given my teammates frostbite, ya know." He pointed out.
"I held back so it wouldn't happen," Shoto answered before looking at his left palm. "I have the means of freeing them anyway."
"So he does have a way of getting rid of any ice he makes," Tekkan noted.
Then, Zrya stood upright next to her teammate with a fierce expression. Along with bent knees, firm feet, and square shoulders, as she lowered her arms to curl her fingers partially. "Let's see if you can keep up, Tekkan."
"RAAAAWR!" She roared out, transforming back into Lycan Mode, and got on all fours as she rushed towards the spiky-haired alien.
Tekkan narrowed his eyes, drawing out his Power Pole and twirling it around his fingers. Standing with his feet shoulder-width apart, gripping the Power Pole diagonally across his body from left to upper right, he declared,
"Prepare yourselves."
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user leaped to throw a straight punch, but with a right sidestep, the teenage Saiyan dodged it, exchanging determined glares.
"She's not just a brawler; those claws can tear through more than just my clothes if I let my guard down," he thought.
LM Zrya planted her right palm on the ground to perform a horse kick, but Tekkan stepped back to dodge it.
Countering, he raised the Power Pole above his head, but she quickly blocked it with her left forearm, cracking the floor underneath her.
"Tch." LM Zrya scoffed, swinging that arm to push his weapon off her.
Tekkan leaped back, watching as she charged at him and threw rapid slashes and punches, but Tekkan blocked them with his weapon easily as sparks flew.
"I know he's holding back, that's for sure." She thought, annoyed. "Tekkan, if you're holding back against me, I'll kick your a*!"
To her shock, the spiky-haired alien countered by blitzing in front of her, delivering two high kicks, which she blocked with her forearms but landed a roundhouse kick to the right side of her face.
She plummeted to the other end of the hallway as she clawed the floor to halt herself. Once LM Zrya stopped, her head was down, blood dripping to the ground.
She gazed up at Tekkan, who now had a bruise on her right cheek with blood coming out of her lips.
"Woof! That's more like it." She said, licking her blood off.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user stood up and pounced at him after catching her breath while he held the Power Pole horizontally. The two clashed as she pushed against his weapon.
Meanwhile, Shoto observed the exchange. "He's agile and skilled, especially with that support tool."
He stomped on his right foot, generating waves of ice towards them. "Mine turn!"
Tekkan perked up, turned his head to see this coming, and looked back at a smirking LM Zrya. He quickly front-kicked her in her chest and jumped up to fly above them.
"So that's how he escaped before." The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user realized, watching him hover in the middle of the corridor above his large shards of ice.
Shoto slammed the same foot down, generating large ice spikes to shoot off the floor. Yet, Tekkan twirled the Power Pole in his right hand and stuck down to shatter it into more miniature icicles.
The crimson, white-haired teen widened his visible eye in shock. "He blew away my ice in an instant!"
"I get it." Tekkan flew down and landed on the icy floor, exhaling cold mist.
"Like back at our entrance exam, you need to make physical contact against a surface to freeze it, like your boot against the floor."
"He's smart, but that won't stop me!" Immediately, he generated more ice waves towards the spiky-haired alien. Tekkan leaned the Power Pole against his right shoulder and pointed his left palm at him. "Ha!"
Firing a Ki blast that caused an explosion that blew away his attack, surrounding them in icy mist.
*BOOM*
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user held up his left arm to guard against the explosion. "He can launch long-range attacks, too?!"
"Oh, right. This is a training exercise, so I'm supposed to be roleplaying a villain. How should act?" The spiky-haired alien thought. "I know!"
Behind him, the Lycan Shifter Quirk user stayed perched on the tip of one of the ice shards. "What's he planning?" She wondered, swaying her tail.
Tekkan coughed into a balled fist, smirking as his hood shadowed his eyes and scouter.
"Well, well, looks like the tables have turned." He began speaking in a slightly deeper voice.
"Hahahaha! Do you heroes think you can outpower me with such pitiful tactics?! Come at me with the intent to kill me! I DARE YOU!" He boldly shouted with his arms stretched out.
Both of his opponents gasped and felt a chill run down their spines.
Sweat ran down LM Zrya's face. "Is he trying to act like a villain? Why is he so damn convincing?"
Shoto, however, gritted his teeth. "Stay focused. It's just an act. Don't let his theatrics get to you."
Then, his earbud went off. "Come in, Todoroki. Is everything alright? I heard an explosion." Mezo asked.
The crimson, white-haired teen answered back. "One of the villains escaped my first attack, and he's alone. Watch out for the other ones and get to the bomb."
After he disconnected, he slammed his right boot on the floor again to send out waves of ice at Tekkan, but he leaped back, only for spikes to form off the ground at him.
Simultaneously, LM Zrya leaped towards Tekkan with a feral growl, claws extended. "Raaaaawr!"
"That's a little better, heroes!" The teenage Sayian grinned as he turned around to parry multiple punches and slashes from the dark purple-haired teen before thrusting the Power Pole into her stomach.
"Gah!" She coughed out blood and launched into a wall. Tekkan quickly spun forward to front-kick the spiked ice waves, breaking them apart.
Shoto's eyes widened as an icicle gazed at his left cheek, shattering the ice off the left side of his face while leaving a small cut on his burn.
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user reached his left thumb and touched his bleeding wound. The Ki wielder broke out of his acting and looked concerned. "Almost hit your eye there! You alright?"
"Man. He's asking that to the wrong person." LM Zrya groaned, now sliding off the dented wall. She looked up and noticed his teammate's visible burn.
"That scar…" She muttered in surprise.
Quickly recovering the left side of his face in ice, Shoto responded calmly, "Let's continue…"
Back with Mezo-
"It seems like the villain team is already a handful," he thought as the building started rumbling once again.
Unfazed, the pale gray-haired teen walked up another staircase with a few tentacles of ears pre-morphed.
*TMP*TMP*TMP*
Mezo stopped, listening to the sound of walking above him. "Even if Tekkan's teammates were freed from Todoroki's ice, I can still hear them."
"Down the hall, fourth door to the right." The Dupli-Arms Quirk user muttered as he reached the fifth floor and began walking down it.
Upon reaching a door, he created an extra eye to scan the room before entering. "It's clear."
He then walked inside to notice the bomb encased in ice and Toru's gloves on the frozen ground. "Smart, Hagakure must have removed her clothes to go invisible."
However, Mashirao clung to the frozen ceiling above Mezo with his tail. "Now's my chance!"
The blonde-haired teen reeled back his tail, but the pale-haired one morphed two arms to catch his opponent's limb.
"Figured you would be here." Mezo said, turning around to give Mashirao a serious expression. "So, Hagakure must be nearby, right?"
"Can't say!" The Tail Quirk user tried to hook-kick his head, but the Dupli-Arms Quirk user blocked it before pushing him back.
Mashirao backflipped, landing in a crouch before he put his right foot forward, slightly bending his knees and raising his fists.
He then dashed to throw a series of punches and kicks, to which his opponent blocked all but slowly slid back out of the room.
"There's my opening!" On Mezo's left side, the invisible teen began sneaking closer to him, staring at the capture tap in his back pocket.
But, one of his ears overhead her footsteps. "Got ya!" Reaching out an arm, the pale gray-haired teen grabbed her, causing her to squeal in surprise. "You planned on using my own tape to capture me. Clever girl…"
He lifted Toru off the ground. "Shoji! Put me down! No fair!" The Invisibility Quirk user flailed her legs while trying to pry his arm off.
Mashirao bashed his tail against Mezo's extended limb to force him to release his ally.
"Bringing him down isn't going to be easy. With his Quirk, he'll be able to track Hagakure if with her invisible body. And who knows how long Tekkan will take to deal with those two." He thought in frustration.
"I don't want to hurt any of you regardless of who I'm paying as…"
The Dupli-Arms Quirk user balled all six morphed hands into fists, glaring at the Tail Quirk user. "So, for your own sake, surrender."
Monitor Room-
"Woah! What was that!?" Hanta asked in shock.
"Man, I knew Todoroki was strong, but this is crazy!" Ejirou exclaimed in surprise.
"Does anyone else feel a little bad for Hagakure? I mean, she's fighting in only shoes in the freezing building." Mina pointed out.
Fumikage spoke up. "They are fortunate to have Tekkan present at this match. He's indeed a swift warrior."
"But to think that he can shoot out lasers and fly is insane!" Denki commented while shrugging. "That's next level busted."
"Yet, his acting was pretty good to playing the role of a villain." Rikido added, sweating.
"Of course! And I believe I understand Tekkan's intentions!" Tenya blurted out, startling the Sugar Rush Quirk user.
"To accomplish the role of a villain, intimidation was needed! Which is what he was striving for!"
"I don't know, Iida; Tekkan doesn't come off like the guy to pull off acting like a villain, ribbit," Asui said, croaking. "Todoroki, on the other hand…"
"Hahaha! I get your point, Young Asui! There are those in this world who are far more intimidating then others!" All Might bellowed, his fists on his hips as he continued spectating.
Six Minutes Later-
"Yeah, I think they are reaching their limits." Tekkan thought, now unarmed with Power Pole unequipped, as he stood in the middle of the icy hallway.
Before him, LM Zrya stood on one knee; her claws were retracted, and she breathed heavily. Her costume was muted with dirt with visible and visible bruises.
Shoto's right side was partially covered in frost; his breathing labored as sweat dripped down his face.
"Is this the best you both got?" Tekkan taunted with an eyebrow raised.
"No!" The crimson, white-haired teen put his right palm on the floor, sending another ice wave at the spiky-haired alien.
"Another one?" Tekkan quickly held out his left palm, but the ice wave veered off course to the right, crashing into an open window and leaving behind a trail of frost.
"He missed?" Tekkan wondered but realized otherwise. "No, and his power level is dropping."
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user dropped to the floor, and his breath was even more ragged as more frost spread throughout his body this time.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user noticed. "Shoto!" She called out, worried.
"This isn't good. Six minutes in…" She glared ahead at her opponent. "And we can't even find an opening."
Shoto gritted his teeth and placed his left hand around his right arm, confusing Tekkan.
"Why are you-?" Suddenly, stream released from Shoto's left palm, slowly melting away the ice covering his right arm. Soon, the frost melted off his body, returning his breathing to normal.
LM Zrya watched and noticed a different scent coming off him now. "He now smells like…charred wood."
"He released heat! Like my aura!" Intrigued, Tekkan asked, "Interesting...So that's how you can defrost yourself. And here I thought you could only make ice."
"Ice is merely half of the extent of my Quirk." Shoto looked at his left palm. "The other half… is far different."
"Ahh. I get it. You must have inherited a Quirk from both of your parents." Tekkan took a moment to ponder. "But ya know, your left side kinda reminds me of someone."
The crismon, white-haired teen flinched as the teenage Saiyan continued thinking. "That split red hair, heat…oh right! Inasa mentioned it back then in our exam. Your the son of the number two hero, Endeavor!"
The dark purple-haired teen widened her eyes in realization. "Oh, right. I forgot he said that out loud."
LM Zrya turned to her teammate, whose eyes were now shadowed over his hair. "Oh no…"
"Stop it…"
Tekkan continued with a finger under his chin. "I researched about him before. He's the only pro hero directly behind All Might himself. All with his Hellflame Quirk and raw ambition."
"Stop it!"
"He needs to calm down!" The Lycan Shifter Quirk user feared as she saw Shoto shake angrily while gritting his teeth. "H-Hey Shot-"
"While he's impressive in battle, I doubt casually, he likes talking to others. In fact, he reminds me of Katsuki's attitude." The spiky-haired alien chuckled in excitement.
"I wish I could fight him too one da-"
"SHUT UP!" Shoto generated and sent out the largest ice wave so far, reaching near the ceiling's height.
As his Scouter beeped, Tekkan saw this in shock and muttered, "Awww crapbaskets!"
He crossed his arms over his face as ice slammed into his forearms and launched him several meters back, shaking the entire building.
Back with Mashirao-
"W-Woah!" Toru fell on the icy floor as she and the others trembled.
"I can't tell if that was from Todoroki or Tekkan. Either way, it was strong enough to be felt even from up here." Mezo observed with narrowed eyes.
Mashirao looked down in surprise. "What was that?" he wondered, frowning. "I hope you're alright, Tekkan."
Back with Zrya-
"Shoto, what... what did you just do?" she questioned, in shock and disbelief.
Shoto, panting heavily, looked ahead at his colossal ice wave, and his realization sank in. "I-I didn't mean to..." he admitted, his eyes widened.
As the silence settled, "Young Todoroki! This is a training exercise!" All Might's voice boomed through Shoto's earbud, causing him to flinch.
"Just like in the case with Young Bakugo, attacks of that scale are prohibited!" His teacher lectured.
An expression of guilt crossed the Half-Cold Half Hot-Quirk user's face as he stared at his right hand. "W-What have I done…"
*CRACK*
Meanwhile, the giant ice mass surrounding Tekkan started to crack and crumble. Both Quirk users exchanged worried glances.
*CRACK*CRACK*
"What's happening now?" LM Zrya exclaimed, her eyes widening as her teammate didn't reply.
The ice slowly melted around Tekkan's trapped body, revealing him shaking violently. Suddenly, with a scream, he ignited a white aura around his body.
"RAAAH!"
The shockwave of the shattering ice sent both Shoto and LM Zrya sliding backward.
Monitor Room-
Almost everyone, especially All Might and Katsuki, was purely shocked.
"YO! That's so manly!" Ejirou shouted with a fist raised.
"Woah! Did ya'll see that!?" Denki asked around with his hands against his head in awe.
Fumikage nodded in respect. "A swift and mighty warrior indeed."
"Breaking out probably wasn't easy. Do ya think if he's okay?" Kyoka muttered, impressed.
Ochaco sighed in relief. "He's okay…"
"Thank goodness. And here I thought I would've had to cancel a match this time." All Might sighed in relief but was confused. "Just…who trained you, Young Tekkan? And why does your power seem familiar?"
With his jaw dropped, eyes widened, shaking in utter rage, Katsuki was left in his thoughts. "I-I can't believe it… M-Monkey Brains not only fended off Icy Hot and Fang Face alone… but w-withstood that last move! And…HE'S COMPLETELY FINE!?"
Back with Shoto-
As Tekkan cracked his neck, his aura still surrounded him. "That was close! Luckily, I have my own means of heating up."
LM Zrya couldn't help but voice her astonishment, "Incredible!"
Shoto, now bewildered, added, "I didn't know he processes that much power." His earbud went off again.
"Young Todoroki, your opponent may have freed himself, but know this. If you attempt an attack like that again, your team will fail, and I won't hesitate to do so this time. Understood?" The Symbol of Peace sternly stated.
"Yes, sir." He answered and ended the call before looking at the spiky-haired alien who dispersed his aura. "Tekkan…I…"
Suddenly, the teenage Saiyan started hugging himself and shivered. "T-T-T-That was a mistake! N-N-Next time, I-I-I'm blasting s-something like that! i-i-instead."
Both LM Zrya and Shoto started sweating because of his abrupt reaction to the cold. "Uhh…." they muttered in unison.
But, Tekkan stopped and glared back at Shoto. "There's no need to apologize, man. But anyway, it's time I end this."
The spiky-haired alien vanished and quickly attacked his opponents from behind, knocking them out with a chop to the necks.
"Oof," Zrya and Shoto gasped at once.
"There, now either of you have to keep getting hurt. But next to Izuku, you two would make great sparring partners." He gently placed each of them on the floor, pulled out his capture tape from his belt, unraveled it, and wrapped them up with it.
As he stood back up, Tekkan tapped his scouter to track his teammates' power levels. "Looks like Mezo is a tough opponent for those two to fight against. Better head back up."
He slung both unconscious Quirk users over his shoulders and rushed towards the staircase.
Monitor Room-
"He… he just beat Todoroki and Nicolas…in an instant!" Minoru muttered while gulping nervously.
Hanta spoke up next. "One second, he was standing still, and the next, he knocked them out cold!"
"To think he possessed this much power and speed." Tenya rubbed his chin as he stared at the monitors. "What's his limits?"
Back with Mashirao-
He grunted as he blocked Mezo's punch and slid back to stop before the fake bomb.
The Tail Quirk user inspected the bruises under his wristbands. "Shoji is a pretty good fighter. And the worst part is…"
He looked up to notice the Dupli-Arms Quirk user was searching for the Invisibility Quirk user with an extra morphed eye. He can make many eyes, and he needs to watch us. I just need an opening!"
Mezo tapped his earbud. "Todoroki, Nicolas, are you there?" He muttered without taking his focus off his foes. His teammates didn't answer as he frowned. "Not good…"
*POW*
"Huh?" Mezo felt slight pain as he looked down at his left leg.
"Come on, Ojiro! We can't just let Tekkan carry this team!" Toru shouted as the Dupli-Arms Quirk user swung a morph arm in her direction and missed.
"She's right." The blond-haired teen thought and took a deep breath. "Sorry, Shoji. But for us to succeed, we're stopping you right now!"
"Hagakure, keep him busy!"
"Got it!" The invisible teen replied, running towards the pale gray-haired teen to throw a series of punches at him, forcing him to block with his morphed arms.
Mashirao took a deep breath before exhaling evenly, dropping his tail to the icy floor.
"Wait for it…wait for it… THERE!" Mezo grabbed one of The Invisibility Quirk user's wrists after waiting and calculating the origin of her attacks.
"Oh crap!" Toru yelped in surprise as Mezo turned to her and grabbed her other wrist.
"Now!" Mashirao focused on his tail and began to spin it in a circle, blowing away the cold mist as he dashed forward.
"One down," Mezo declared, reaching for his capture tape to bind Toru. However, he stopped halfway, and his attention shifted to the Tail Quirk user swiftly approaching him.
"That won't work!" Mezo held up three arms, ready to block it, but Toru shoved his limbs and yelled, "Do it now!"
With a leap, the Tail Quirk user shouted, "HURRICANE...TAIL DANCE!" to thrust his tail forward to bash it across the Dupli-Arms Quirk user's face.
"GAAAH!" Mezo gasped, and he coughed out blood as his face was slammed into the ground, resulting in a small crater of melted ice.
"W-Woah!" Toru fell down in utter shock.
Same Time-
"Huh?" Tekkan stopped running up the fifth staircase as he saw Mezo's power level drop. "That decreases his power level. Does that mean?..."
Soon, he reached the doorway and stepped inside. "Guys, what's going-"
Once he looked around, the teenage Saiyan saw the invisible teen struggling to unbind herself of capture tape, the pale grey-haired teen lying down unconscious, and the blond-haired teen panting on one knee while whipping sweat off his forehead with his left forearm.
"They did it…!"
Immediately, All Might's voice blared into the building's loudspeakers as he declared, "The villain team WINNNNS!"
The realization started to hit him. "We did it…Hahahaha! Team! We did it!" Tekkan cheered triumphantly.
Yet, he regained his composure as he gently placed the unconscious Shoto and Zrya on the icy floor and jogged to Mashirao in concern.
"You alright?" He asked, extending a hand to help him up.
Mashirao groaned, took the proffered hand, and breathed normally.
"It looks like you were able to defeat those two on your own. Color me impressed."
Tekkan chuckled before he spoke back. "Back at you. After all, you both took on Mezo and wo, so congrats on that."
"That's great and all but… CAN YOU HELP ME OUT OF THIS?!"
Both tailed fighters looked to their right at the angry, flailing Toru, who struggled to unbind herself from the capture tape.
"Right… sorry…!" Tekkan and Mashirao answered in unison, jogging to their invisible teammate to help.
A Few Minutes-
The members of Team I stood near the rest of their present classmates before the Symbol of Peace, with the other team lying against a wall, still knocked out. "Hahaha! That was truly one helluva match."
He said in pride, placing a hand on Tekkan and Mashirao's shoulders. "Congratulations, you three!"
"Thank you, sir!"While most of their classmates acknowledged them, Tekkan, Ojiro, and Toru said in unison.
All Might then turned to the rest of his class. "Moving on! Let's gather 'round for a review of the second match. After that, we'll jet on over to our next battle!"
"Yes, sir!" A majority of Class 1A yelled out at once except those like Katsuki, who stayed quiet and grunted as his lips quivered.
1 Hour and a Half Later-
All Might blew a whistle in front of the rectangular tunnel of the Training Ground Bete, finally ending the Battle Trials. Nineteen students stood before the #1 hero.
"That's a wrap! Super work!" All Might told them all. "You all really stepped up to the plate. And we didn't have any major injuries, except for Midoriya. You should be proud. Excellent first day of training, all around!" He gave them a thumbs up.
"It's nice to hear some encouraging words after our homeroom class." Tsuyu commented. "Mr. Aizawa was kind of a buzzkill."
Nearly every student nodded to that; Tekkan, who stood up front and kept mouthing, 'Go,' to the pro hero who caught on.
"I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to alma mater!" All Might said with his arms raised in satisfaction.
"That's all for now, folks; I should go and check on Young Midoriya, Nicolas, and Todoroki's progress. Now watch how a pro exits, like he's got SOMEWHERE TO BE!"
Turning around, he dashed off, leaving behind a trail of smoke and a small crater where he had stood. The teenage Saiyan sighed in relief as a few of his classmates covered their eyes from the dust that blew.
"Okay, you guys, THAT is a hero," Denki commented, impressed.
"Aww, I'll never be able to run that fast," Mashirao remarked, disappointed.
"Super awesome." Minoru praised while covering his mouth in awe.
As All Might, he looked over his right shoulder to gaze at Katsuki, whose hair shadowed his eyes. "Young Bakugo really is overflowing with pride. His ego may be justified but a school like U.A. is bound to shatter it. As his teacher, it's my sworn duty to console him well."
Steam started emanating from his face as he turned back ahead to cough into a balled fist. "But it'll have to wait!"
He continued running and coughing until he stopped before the 'Staff Only' exit door, which automatically opened before him.
As he entered it, he hit a button to close it as he panted. "I can't hold this form any longer."
Then, a small cloud of stream exploded around him as it dispersed, reverting All Might back into his base form.
Toshinori kept panting in frustration as he sweated, "I barely have enough time to teach a class. Sh*t."
Preview: Tekken was pitted against Shoto and Zrya and defeated them with little trouble.
