Aztec 13 chapter 13 . Feb 1: You may be right lol, thanks.
Monster King chapter 13 . Feb 1: I will, thanks.
p6lishb6kser chapter 13 . Feb 14: I appreciate the follow, and I'll take your suggestions into consideration later, but I can't say any spoilers. What I can do is remind you what's been canon in Dragon Ball. Thank you.
1) The Ultra Divine Water is not only sacred but not meant for humans. Back in OG Dragon Ball, 13 people had drunk the water, and none survived, making Goku the 14th one who was the only known survivor.
(⌐■_■) It's past Spring, and staying on top of my classes has only gotten harder this semester for the last couple of months. Still, until I post another chapter, thank you for reading this. May God bless you all, and have a wonderful day.
ಥ_ಥ Rest in Peace, Akira Toriyama. Thank you for bringing Dragon Ball (from all its anime/manga/movies from OG, Z, Super, GT, Heroes, and even related fan mangas, fanfics, and fan animations) to life for me and the rest of the planet, Earth.
Five Minutes Later-
The nurse's office is an infirmary where Recovery Girl, who sits on a rotated chair, faces Toshinori to lecture him sternly.
"The second day of school, and he's already a regular patient. Why didn't you stop him, All Might?"
In her office, a focal work area for the pro hero stands equipped with a computer and a drawer containing various medicines. The room has two beds, an extra chair for a patient's accommodation, and medicinal posters decorate the walls.
"You're right, Recovery Girl. I'm sorry." He apologized, hanging his head.
"Well, it's no good apologizing to me!" Recovery Girl said, turning her chair toward her patients.
On one bed lay Izuku, who kept sleeping with a large white blanket covering his torso. Now, his right arm was bandaged. He wore his tattered and burnt hero costume, except his mask was off. To his left, a fluid bag hung on a metal hook, with tubes connected to his left arm, with a cloth covering the tube on his arm.
"The boy's too exhausted from his classes for my Quirk, I'm unable to treat all his injuries at once. I did some first aid, but after the IV is finished, we'll have to wait for his body to heal overnight." She stated.
On the other bed lay Zrya, sleeping on her stomach as her tail hung off the bed. Her costume was still on, and a white blanket covered her up to her neck, but her injuries were healed.
"Thankfully, the young lady has a quick healing factor and wasn't too exhausted. Once she wakes up, she'll be good to go. I left Todoroki in Cryocare's hands, so I'm sure he'll be alright."
The pro heroine turned back to her desk. "I know you passed your powers on to this boy, but you can't spoil him!
"I am trying not play favorites, but I do want to consider his feelings, though. He needed to see he was capable of winning the exercise." Toshinori explained.
"Oh yeah. Also, will you please not talk so loudly about my Quirk?! Especially when we have another child in here who's knocked out." He whispered with an index finger to his lips.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. Mr. Natural Born Hero, Mr. Symbol of Peace," the Heal Quirk user replied sarcastically.
Toshinori walked over to check on Zrya, and to his relief, she remained asleep and sighed. "Her mom would've had my head if she had ended up looking as bad as Young Midoriya," he thought with a snort.
Twenty Minutes Later-
As he turned the corner, Tekkan saw Shoto walking towards him, dressed in the same uniform."Oh good, he's awake."
"Yo, Shoto!" He smiled and waved to him.
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user stopped and blinked before he said, "Oh, it's you."
The spiky-haired alien chuckled and replied, "Yeah, it's me. Glad to see you up and about. Also, sorry for knocking you out that long?"
"Why is he apologizing?" Shoto wondered, frowning, and spoke up. "I… should apologize instead. I let my emotions get the best of me against you."
"Like I said before, it's fine." Tekkan waved him off but frowned. "But…Izuku on the other hand…"
"I see. It seems like Bakugo has some kind of vendetta against Midoriya." The crimson, white-haired teen pointed out.
Tekkan nodded. "That sums it up." They both started walking back to their class, side by side.
"By the way, I wanna know something." The teenage Saiyan started, catching his attention.
"You got mad when I brought up Endeavor." This caused Shoto to twitch his right hand, which he noticed.
Tekkan continued, "Thought so, but since you are both father and son, what happene-"
"A lot," Shoto whispered, lowering his head in reflection before looking up at him angrily. "So, don't compare me to him…"
"Oh… okay. Sorry." The teenage Saiyan apologized before adding, "Ummm… if you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you. Okay?"
The Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user kept quiet as they continued walking. "But…wanna a drink?" Tekkan offered with a smirk.
10 Minutes Later-
"Mhm…" a disoriented Izuku groaned as he slowly opened his eyes, blinking multiple times. When his vision returned, he noticed a clock on the wall and read the time. "It's...late afternoon?"
Recovery Girl sat on her chair on his right and leaned forward to greet him. "Rise and shine, sonny."
This caused him to flinch and gasp. "O-Oh crap. Y-You scarred me."
Izuku then heard the curtain on his left yank as he turned to see Zrya, who sat on the edge of her bed and dangled her legs off.
While grinning, she gave him a peace sign saying, "Sup Izuku!"
Two Minutes Later-
After Recovery Girl dismissed both students, she informed them to return the next day for further treatment.
Izuku and Zrya walked in the hallways to their class. The latter wore a cast over his right arm and sighed, "I miss all my afternoon classes. Mr. Aizawa's probably gonna choke me with his scarf."
"So...how's your arm?" The dark purple-haired teen asked, glancing at his cast.
"Huh?" the green-haired teen asked, snapping out of his thoughts. "Oh...it's alright. It still hurts a bit. How are your injuries?"
Zrya rubbed the back of her neck. "Already better. Thanks to my Quirk, I have accelerated healing. Tekkan knocked me out for a while, so I slept and woke up twenty minutes before you. But I didn't want to leave you alone, so I stayed." She admitted with a simile.
"T-That's so cool!" Izuku thought, his eyes widened in shock. "Thanks; I appreciate it. I just hope Mr. Aizawa won't be so mad about us missing classes."
The Lycan Quirk user blew a raspberry. "Nah, we got hurt, so I doubt he cares that much. But I'll train ten harder to take down Tekkan," she said, balling her left fist.
The One for All Quirk user blinked and nervously chuckled. "W-Well good luck with that."
They arrived at the front door of Class 1-A; as Izuku slid the door open, they caught his classmate's attention.
"Hey, it's Midoriya and Nicolas! Good to see ya back!" Ejirou greeted.
He, Hanta, Mina, Rikido, and Tsuyu approached them to their surprise.
"Ha! Man, I don't know what you said during that match. But you were all fired up, huh?" The Hardening Quirk user grinned and raised his left fist.
The Tape Quirk user spoke up next. "I can't believe you held your own against Bakugo like that. Your moments were pretty cool!"
"You did a great job dodging!" Mina complimented with a simile.
"You guys really turned up in the first match, so none of us held back in our rounds, either!" The Sugar Rush Quirk said, smirking with Hanta nodding along.
Yuga began speaking in the upper first row next to the door. "You were far from elegant, but I suppose—"
"And you're dodging was like, whoa!" Mina exclaimed gleefully, jumping up and down while interrupting him.
"Huh?!" Izuku gasped and blushed embarrassingly at the responses he got from those five teens.
Ejirou pointed a thumb at himself. "I'm Eijiro Kirishima. We've been going over training results while you were in recovery," he said, pointing to Hanta over his left shoulder with that thumb.
"Hi. I'm Hanta Sero." The black-haired teen said with a toothy grin.
"More importantly, I'm Yuga Ao-" The Acid Quirk user interrupted him again and bounced excitedly.
"I'm Mina Ashido! And I gotta say your fighting was just awesome!"
Tsuyu then poked herself out from behind her. "Tsuyu Asui. But please, call me 'Tsu'."
Rikido gave him a thumbs up. "Hey! I'm Sato!"
"U-Um… h-hi, guys." Izuku began, stuttering as Minoru jumped in front of him, posing with a fist out, saying, "And my name's Mineta!"
Zrya giggled at the reception. "You've gotten even more popular, huh?"
Izuku nervously nodded, "Uh, yeah, I guess."
Sitting on his desk, Fumikage observed those nine students. "So noisy." He commented; Mashirao and Kyoka both stood near him.
"Tokoyami!" Tenya shouted, catching everyone's attention as he approached the bird-headed teen. "Stop using that desk as a chair! Get off it this instant!"
"Dude, you need to chill." The Earphone Jack Quirk user said, deadpanning.
"Uh—"
"You're carrying a lot of tension." Ojiro added, pointing an index finger at him.
The Engine Quirk sloughed down, disappointed. "No one understands." He groaned before looking up at them in frustration.
"I cannot condone actions that disrespect these desks. Not when great men and women, our upperclassmen, once used them!"
"Also noisy." The Dark Shadow Quirk user noted.
"Iida never relaxes, does he?" The OFA Quirk user wondered. Then, the other door slides open, revealing Denki holding a stack of textbooks.
"So, anyway, wanna grab a bite sometime?" What kinda stuff you like?" The Electrification Quirk user asked the Zero Gravity Quirk user behind him, holding the same number of textbooks.
"Anything sweet…" Ochako said, then noticed Izuku and Zrya. "Hey! Deku! Nicolas!" She jogged over to them, leaving Denki a bit sad.
"Why didn't Recovery Girl heal your injuries, Deku?" She asked him.
"Oh, well, it has to do with how much stamina I'm using," Izuku said, then noticed his two familiar empty seats. "Um, Uraraka. Where's Teks and Kachaan?"
"All I know is that Tekkan went to find Shoto awhile ago." The Lycan Shifter Quirk user mentioned. "And who knows where that firecracker went…"
"Oh, you just missed Bakugo," the brunette said. "We tried to stop him from leaving, but he wouldn't listen."
"'Who' wouldn't listen exactly?"
Izuku and Zrya turned around to see Tekkan and Shoto standing behind them; the former sipped a Pepsi can with his tail while holding a big bag of Spicy Doritos.
The latter sipped on a Crush Orange can, holding a plastic bag in his left hand.
The dark purple-haired teen scoffed at them, "Took y'all long enough."
"We stopped at a vending machine on our way here," the spiky-haired alien said, biting into another Dorito.
Tekkan then tilted his head at Shoto. "Oh, and we got snacks for you both. But what were ya talking about?"
Zrya shrugged. "Bakugo dipped earlier, and we've got no clue why, right Izuku?"
"I'm heading out! Someone, please watch my bag for me!" The green-haired teen shouted as he ran down the hallway, causing anyone by the doorframe to turn towards him.
A confused Zrya blinked. "W-Wait…where's he going?"
So, she tried calling out for him. "Izuku! Wait!" But he already turned the corner.
One Minute Later-
Izuku burst through U.A.'s front doors and stopped to look ahead to see with his hands in his pockets and his bag slung over his left shoulder.
The One for All Quirk userran up to him and yelled, "Kacchan! Wait up!"
Katsuki finally stopped and looked over his right shoulder to glare at him. "What?"
This caused Izuku to stop several feet away from him and gasp. "I've only told Teks about this secret. Not even my mom." He thought, nervously sweating.
"I have to tell you something. Maybe then you'll understand what's been going on," The green-haired teen began as the sandy-blonde one appeared annoyed.
Izuku took a deep breath and spoke. "I-I never tried to hide my Quirk from you, but it was recently given to me by someone else. But I can't tell you who I got it from, so don't ask."
"Huh?" Katsuki gazed more intensely at him.
Izuku continued, "Sounds crazy right? It's like a comic book or movie. Only it's real. The thing is, I couldn't even use it properly when I first obtained it. Yet, even with all the training I've done, I still couldn't win without hurting myself."
The Explosion Quirk user began shaking angrily, but his rival didn't notice.
"I've still got a lot to learn; I know that's why I'm here." Izuku puts his free hand on his cast.
"You'll see. I'll work until I have full control over this borrowed Quirk, and finally…" Izuku looked up at him in determination. "beat you with all my power!"
The sandy blond-haired teen blinked in disbelief, causing the green-haired one to gasp regretfully.
"Oh, crap, what am I saying? I only meant to tell him that I wasn't tricking him!" He realized.
"How dumb do you think I am?" Katsuki asked, turning around fully to face him with his head down.
"'Borrowed power'? Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. You already made a fool of me in that damn training exercise. So, did you come to rub it in? I lost! And to matter matters worse, it was to you! The one who got first in the exam and not me!"
Katsuki thought back on the match between Team B and Team I. "When I was watching that ice guy...I realized I couldn't beat him in a head-to-head fight!"
And then, he recalled the analysis of his own match as he gripped his face with his left hand.
"Crap! I even agreed with what that girl said! My attack was so stupid!" He lowered that hand as it twitched violently. "Damn it, damn it, damn it!"
"And...and… Monkey Brains!" The Explosion Quirk user balled his left hand into a fist.
"I don't think I can even touch him in a fight, let alone beat him! He's gotten so much more powerful since he fought that damn Sludge Villain! How am I supposed to beat someone like him?!"
"So...enjoy that win, Deku!" Tears fell before his feet as he tearfully glared at Izuku with hatred.
"You won't get another! I'm just getting started! Got that?! I will end up the number-one hero, no matter what!"
Izuku grunted and stayed silent as Katsuki did the same, except the former turned around and started marching off.
"You'll never defeat me again, you bastard! Don't even try! I'll defeat you...and then…Monkey Brains is next!" He declared, wiping his tears with his left sleeve.
The OFA Quirk user kept watching his rival walk off, sighing moments later in relief.
"There you are!"
Suddenly, All Might rushed right by his pupil, nearly causing him to stumble, and came to a halt directly behind Katsuki and grasped his shoulders. "Bakugo! I found you!" He said, panting slightly.
"Just so you know, pride is an important attribute to have. But while you certainly have the abilities to become a pro hero, there's still plenty you have to lear-!"
"Let go of me, All Might. Right. Now!" Katsuki sneered while rubbing the rest of his tears away.
The Explosion Quirk user glared at him over his left shoulder. "Save your speeches. I'll be more famous than you and do it without your help."
"Uh—" The Symbol of Peace let him go and observed him depart through the gates. "...right."
"Man, being a teacher was hard."
"So Young Midoriya," All Might turned around to approach his pupil. "What were you and Young Bakugo discussing before I arrived so heroically?" He asked.
Izuku started to exaggerate. "U, we were, uh-."
"You might as well tell him what you just said," Tekkan said, getting their attention as he walked up to them while sipping his drink.
Chp 14: Their Start Lines - Class Representatives
Next Day- 7:53 a.m.-
With news that All Might was teaching in U.A.'s faculty spread throughout the city, the press has been trying to interview every student and teacher regarding the Symbol of Peace.
"Hey, you." A female reporter approached a nervous Izuku, and a curious Tekkan shoved a microphone in front of their faces.
She donned a navy suit with matching pants and shoes, a white open-buttoned shirt, and short brown hair styled in a ponytail.
"At least no one here recognizes me as a Brief." Tekkan kept his jacket hood up as he watched the large crowd of reporters gathered around them, feeling slightly relieved.
"Can you two tell us what it's like to work so closely with All Might?" The reporter asked.
"U-Um, sorry, I have to go to the, uh, the nurse's office! Yeah, right away!" Izuku stuttered, slowly backing away towards the gates, leaving his friend alone.
"I'd like to answer your questions, but I'm in a hurry. So, see ya!" Tekkan told her, giving her a peace sign, and vanished.
They set their sights on Ochaco as she was stopped. "Are you one of All Might's students? Tell us—what's the Symbol of Peace like in person?"
"Uh, what's he like? Well… Uh—" She flexed her arms to intimate All Might. "He's super muscle-y. Yeah!"
Then, they turned to Tenya for comments: "How is he faring as a teacher? What are you learning?"
"His leadership and wisdom remind me on a daily basis that I attend the world's most prestigious educational institution. Of course, he's the personification of honor and integrity that one would expect, but he's also not afraid to show his students a more humorous side. It's truly a unique opportunity to be under the direct tutelage of the pro we all admire."
The reporters started to become bored and sweated as Tenya continued his long explanation.
Two Minutes Later-
"Excuse me, kid! Are you in All Might's class?" The same woman walked after Katsuki, who kept silent.
"Oh, hold on. Aren't you that Sludge Villain victim?" The reporter asked, triggering the Explosion Quirk user who stopped.
"Walk away." He threatened her, getting her to step away from him.
Next was Zrya, who stood before her and said, "Little girl, do you think you can tell us about All Might working here?"
"Honesty, I don't know him that well," The Lycan Shifter Quirk user answered, shrugging. "Now, if you don't mind, I've gotta get to class." She waved them off and walked inside the school.
To the shock of the reporters, Shota walked out the doors to confront him as they all swarmed. "Please, sir, can you get All Might for us?"
The female reporter and everyone else were confused by his appearance. "Also, you look like a mess. What's your deal?"
"All Might's not on campus today," The pro hero responded before moving his left hand up and down.
"Now get outta here. You've disturbed my students enough already." He then turned around and walked inside the gates, ignoring comments about him.
"How does All Might get everything done while he has all this media circus stepping on his cape?" He kept wondering.
But the brown-haired woman grew annoyed and began walking toward the gates, "All right. If you won't bring All Might out, I'll-
"No, hold on!"
*BEEEP*
An alarm blared as red lights above the gate flashed on. Steel walls emerged from the ground and caught the reporter off guard. More walls appeared and encircled the school grounds.
"Hey, what's happening?!" She shrieked, falling to the ground in shock.
"Don't you know about the school's defenses? This gate is the U.A. Barrier." One of her cameramen said.
"Defenses? It almost killed me!" She yelled out,
"Yeah, well, it's designed by anyone who doesn't have a student I.D. or a special pass to enter the campus. Guess it works." the cameraman replied, pointing to the lights.
"Apparently, there are security sensors like this all over the place."
"Keeping the public out? That makes me so mad!" She said bitterly. "The least they can grant me is one interview."
"I know, right? We've been here for two days, and not a single comment has been recorded yet." He agreed, shrugging.
Across the street, a man with pale skin, red irised eyes, yellow teeth, wrinkles around his eyes, chapped and uneven lips, a mole on his right, scars under his lip and right eye, and messy grayish-blue hair of varying lengths watched them. He wore a black hoodie to cover his face, black pants that exposed his ankles, and plain red sneakers.
He then stared at the gate, "The U.A. barrier, huh?"
8:05 a.m.- Class 1A's Homeroom-
Inside, Eraserhead stood before his students up front behind the podium.
"You guys did decent work on yesterday's combat training," The Erasure Quirk user commented. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results."
He then glared at Katsuki. "Bakugo. You're talented, so don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?"
Looking away from his glare, Katsuki gritted his teeth, "Yeah, whatever."
"Midoriya." Shota called out, causing him to tense up.
"I saw how you won the fight through coordination and endurance. But work harder to control your Quirk, so you don't mess up your body."
Izuku perked up in determination. "Right!" he declared while smiling.
"Tekkan," Shota said, getting his attention.
"You're strong, but I noticed that you held back against your opponents." He started. "Try not to make it a habit to prolong a fight, especially on a time limit."
"Understood sir." The teenage Saiyan replied.
"All right, let's get down to business." The Erasure Quirk user addressed his class. "Our first task… will decide your future."
Almost all the students panicked, yet they shared the same thought: "Is it another Quirk test?"
"You all need to pick a class representative," Shota stated.
"Just like a normal school!" Nearly every student exclaimed in relief except Tekkan.
"Pick me guys! I wanna be class rep!" Eijiro called out, grinning with both hands up.
Denki raised a hand. "No! I'll take it!"
"Yeah, you're gonna need me." Kyoka interjected, lazily raising a hand.
"Someone with style should-" Yuga was interrupted by Mina, who skipped before him and waved her arms around.
"I'm totally the right pick!" She shouted and smiled.
As Minoru jumped out of his seat and raised a hand, Tekkan saw Katsuki shoot his hand up and roar out. "LET ME DO IT! ME!"
Izuku nervously looked around the room, "Everyone really wants to be the class rep..."
"And here I thought choosing the role would be more peaceful." Tekkan thought, raising an eyebrow.
"Silence, everyone please!" Tenya shouted, breaking the commotion.
"The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!"
After that, Tenya raised a hand. "It's pretty obvious you want us to vote for you!" Half of his peers shouted accusingly in unison.
"Is this really the best idea?" The Electrification Quirk user asked.
"We've only known each other for a few days." Tsuyu said, putting a finger to her chin. "How do we know who we can trust?"
"Besides, everyone will just vote for themselves." The Hardening Quirk user said, leaning back against his chair.
The Engine Quirk user quickly put his arm down and pointed his index finger at the Hardening Quirk user.
"Most people will. But that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job."
He turned to his homeroom teacher, who stood in his sleeping bag. "It's the best way, right, sir?"
"Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over," Erasurehead said, falling sideways to the ground.
"Thank you for your trust!" The blue-haired teen nodded, smiling at the others. "Let's get started."
Class 1A began to write down the person they wanted to elect to be class representative.
A Few Minutes Later-
All votes had been cast, and the top two were highlighted and displayed on the chalkboard.
Top Election Results
Tekkan Briefs - 6
Izuku Midoriya - 4
"I didn't even vote for myself and got the highest number of votes?" Tekkan muttered in slight surprise but then shrugged.
"I GOT FOUR?!" Izuku exclaimed in shock.
"All right..." Katsuki growled as he shot up from his seat. " Who the hell voted for him?!" he questioned angrily.
"What, did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?" Hanta quipped as he and Zrya snickered at one another.
Ochaco silently whistled as she gazed at the ceiling."Maybe I'll just keep my vote to myself."
Toru hummed quietly, wearing her new CC sneakers, and Mashirao gazed at a window.
"I'll let Tekkan know that I picked him later." The Tail Quirk user thought.
The Engine Quirk user could only sit back down, shaking in frustration.
"Zero votes…" He grumbled. "I fear this would happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!"
"But you knew it was best to vote for yourself, right?" Rikido remarked. "What were you trying to prove here, Iida?"
Tekkan stood up and stepped up to the front of the class, and Izuku was to his left.
"Alright, the class rep is Tekkan," Eraserhead announced, standing nearby without his sleeping bag on. "And our deputy is Midoriya."
The Ki wielder casually kept his hands in his pockets, but the OFA Quirk user shook and sweated nervously.
"I think we'll do well with our chosen roles, class deputy," The spiky-haired alien quipped, smiling at him.
"R-Really? Uh. Is it not a mistake?" The green-haired teen whispered to him.
"This might not be so bad, ribbit," Tsuyu commented.
"Yeah, I can totally get behind those too!" Ejrou said, grinning.
"He and Izuku were totally on top of it when it came to our training results so it makes sense," Denki said.
"Ay, Tekkan. Wanna cape to go with the new job?" Zrya asked while chuckling.
The teenage Saiyan snorted while rolling his eyes.
Lunch Period-
Multiple students from other classes either waited in line for their food or sat down at tables with friends.
"It's always so crowded here!" Ochako moaned with a sigh, looking around.
"That's because students in the support, management, and hero courses all share the same cafeteria," Tenya explained as he joined Izuku, Ochako, Momo, and Zrya for lunch at one table.
Ochako took a bite of her small rice bowl after breaking apart chopsticks. "This rice is delicious!" She praised.
Zrya's lunch consists of a spicy chicken and vegetable stir-fry with brown rice and a salad with leafy greens, cherry tomatoes, and mango slices.
"Believe me, Ochako, the food is a ten out of ten." She nodded in satisfaction as she sipped her small iced tea cup.
Right on cue, Tenya saw Tekkan walk up to them, holding a tray with a liter of milk and a massive bowl of rice, two cooked t-bone steak, and gravel, nearly towering up to his eyes.
Momo noticed the teenage Saiyan as she and Tenya slid down to the right, letting Tekkan sit down.
"Never gets old." Tekkan broke apart his chopsticks and hastily dug into his thirty-fourth meal.
Then, the One for All Quirk user stopped eating his medium pork cutlet rice bowl and sighed. "Guys, I'm kinda worried about the class deputy thing. I don't think I'm qualified."
"Sure you are, Deku," The Zero Gravity Quirk user reassured.
The Ki wielder paused to swallow his food. "Believe me, you are." He retorted. "But I just know I'm gonna have to lead you guys into battle one day."
"Maybe, but I trust you both." The Lycan Shifter Quirk user said, smirking.
"Your determination and strategic thinking will help you become a worthy leader, not to mention the incredible strength and speed you've demonstrated," The Engine Quirk user explained.
"I had similar reasons for voting for Midoriya too." The dark blue-haired teen then ate another spoonful of rice.
"You were one of the four?" The green-haired teen inquired in surprise.
"Didn't you wish to be class rep, Iida?" Momo added before going back to slurping her large tempura udon soup.
Ochako added on, smiling. "Yeah, I mean, you look the part cause of the glasses."
"That's not how you choose a rep." Izuku and Zrya thought in unison.
Tenya finished sipping from his orange juice glass before responding with his eyes closed.
"Wanting a job and being suited to it are quite different things. Observing the Iida family's hero agency has taught me that much," he told the group.
Tekkan and Momo nodded as teen Saiyan drank his milk liter while Izuku, Ochako, and Zrya blinked twice with surprise and confusion.
"Agency?" They repeated simultaneously.
"Hold on, what does your family do?" The green-haired teen asked him.
The Engine Quirk user nervously replied, "Oh, it's nothing."
"Iida family…" Zrya muttered. "His last name sounds so familiar, same with Tekkan's, but why?"
"Y'know, I've been wondering something about you, Yaoyorozu, and Tekkan," Ochaco said, getting those three's attention.
She then looked at the two in glee. "Admit it, you three. Your filthy rich!"
"Uh…" Tenya looked away, slightly embarrassed, before speaking up. "I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family."
The Ki wielder set down his empty drink and wiped his lips before saying, "I doubt it, but if ya'll are really interested; Dr. Briefs adopted me, but I was never really influenced by wealth."
After hearing this, the Lycan Shifter and Zero Gravity Quirk users' jaws dropped.
"WHAT?!" Both exclaimed in utter shock, but Zrya noticed Izuku's lack of surprise.
"He just dropped that big of a bombshell, and you're not even fazed," the dark purple-haired teen pointed out to the green-haired one.
Izuku nervously scratched the back of his head. "Hehe…w-well…I-I stopped by Capsule Corp m-more than once for training."
The rest of the group, except Tekkan, looked at him in utter disbelief.
"You're telling me that you, YOU, got an invite into the home of the Briefs more than once for just training?!" Zrya inquired in amazement.
"That explains the color scheme of his costume's design." Momo realized.
The teenage Saiyan spoke up. "It's true. He really made the last few months at home even more fun." He said while smiling, to which Izuku returned his one to him.
"It's no wonder you've gotten so strong, Deku!" The brunette complemented as he quickly started blushing.
Tenya smirked at Tekkan in admiration. "I had no idea, Tekkan…So let me say this...the Iidas have been pro-heroes for generations. It runs in our blood."
"Tell me, are any of you familiar with the turbo hero Ingenium?" The Engine Quirk user asked his friends.
Izuku's eyes widened before he grinned. "I know all about him! He's a super popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo Hero Agency."
The One for All Quirk user then paused for a moment to realize. "Don't tell me…"
Pridefully, Tenya stood up with his hands on hips as sunlight reflected off his glasses. "He's my elder brother!"
"Your family is famous too!" Ochaco exclaimed in awe.
Izuku added on in shock. "I can't believe it!"
Tenya scoffed and pushed his glasses up. "Ingenium is an unmatched commander who honors the hero code." He stated before sitting back down next to an amused Momo.
"As the second oldest Iida son, I strive to be like him. However, it might be a bit soon to be in a real leadership role.
The dark blue-haired teen turned to Izuku, smiling. "Take you, for example, Midoirya. You figured out what the judges were looking for in the practical exam. A deputy could use that sort of insight."
But Tenya noticed the gazes from Izuku, Momo, Ochako, and Zrya
gazes at him as he was confused. "What's wrong?"
"It's just the first time I've seen you smile, Tenya." The Zero Gravity Quirk user pointed out. "You should do it more."
"What're you talking about? I smile all the time!" The Engine Quirk user insisted.
The Lycan Shifter Quirk user snorted and rolled her eyes playfully. "As if."
"But I hope you can follow in your brother's footsteps, Iida," the Creation Quirk user said, smiling.
"I'm still hungry," Tekkan said as he stood up, holding his empty tray. "Be right back."
As he walked off, Izuku turned back to the dark blue-haired teen, smiling. "Iida wants to be like Ingeium in the same way I wanna be like All Might. But he shouldn't be so hard on himself."
The green-haired teen started to speak up. "Hey, yeah so about that practical exa-"
*RING*
Almost everyone in the cafeteria was startled by the sudden bell ringing. This caused Izuku and his friends to gasp and look up at the ceiling along with everyone else.
"It's not the class bell..." The spiky-haired girl pointed out with a frown.
"Someone must've pulled the fire alarm or something…" The dark purple-haired one guessed.
"Warning! Level Three security breach! All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion!" The loudspeakers instructed.
Tenya turned to his left to a short, dark brown-haired male student.
"What's a 'Level Three' security breach?" He inquired him.
"It means that someone managed to trespass the school's barriers! This hasn't happened in my three years here. We should get going!"
That student got up from his seat and ran towards the left, where everyone else was heading.
One Minute Later-
During U.A.'s emergency evacuation, chaos erupted as most students ignored alarms and pushed and shoved each other to escape. Some were even trampled, but barely anyone seemed concerned about getting hurt.
A panic ensued as U.A.'s students rushed to the nearest exit. The six of them attempted to leave the building, only to find a hallway filled with students pushing and shoving each other, causing further chaos and causing some to be trampled.
"Tsk!" Slightly annoyed, Tekkan quickly leaped up and used Tailcopter to hover over the crowd, looking around him. "Outta of all times for this to happen."
"Stop shovin' so hard!"
"Wait, I'm getting trampled!"
"I said, stop pushin' me!" The longer the students were in the crowd, the more they blocked the doorway.
"Ow, this is a total mob," Ochako commented as Tekkan saw her getting squished next to Tenya.
"Everyone was quick to react," Tenya added, almost getting pushed against the windowed wall. "As I'd expect from U.A. students."
"Did you expect the opposite?!" Zrya quipped back as Momo tried to stay her by hanging onto her tail.
"But they're causing a huge panic," Izuku shouted before getting shoved away from the group. "Crap, I can't stop!"
"Oh no, Deku!/Godspeed Midoriya!/ Izuku!/ No, Midoriya!/ Dammit!" Ochako, Tenya, Tekkan, Momo, and Zrya yelled out in unison.
The Engine Quirk user squeezed past everyone else towards the hallway's left window.
"Who in the world could've trespassed onto campus grounds?" But his eyes widened as he noticed the media from earlier blocking the entrance of the building with Erasurehead and Present Mic keeping them from entering. "The press!?"
"Tenya, you see anything?" The teenage Saiyan asked, hovering over him.
The dark blue-haired teen glanced up at the spiky-haired alien. "It's just the press from earlier this morning!"
Tekkan gasped in semi-shock. "What?!"
Tenya then glanced at everyone else, warning them, "There's no need to worry, everyon-urk!"
But was interrupted when someone pushed him from behind, causing his face to hit the glass. "Where are the teachers? Why aren't they taking control?"
In front of them, Ejirou waved his hands around in an attempt to stop the crowd. "Everyone! Stop freakin' out!"
"The current's too strong!" Denki commented as they got trampled.
Tekkan clutched his right hand before nodding to Tenya. "Alright, hang tight. I'll take care of this." He said quickly, flying towards the exit sign.
Once he got above the sign, he balanced himself on it and faced the crowd of students below.
Tekkan closed his eyes briefly before opening them, coughing into a balled-up fist. "Ahem." He then screamed out,
"Enough!"
A small shockwave caused the windowed wall in the hallway, causing students to freeze in place. They looked forward, only to see the frowning spiky-haired alien engulfed in his aura.
Tekkan began speaking, his voice echoing through the silent hallway. "As far I know, there is NO villain attacking. It's nothing more than the media coming in from earlier. To think we've all gotten into U.A., aiming to be heroes, yet you're acting like this. Think about how many people are hurt by this chaos."
At least a dozen students looked around at each other, noticing bruises on some faces or others holding their arms or hands in pain.
Tekkan pointed down at them with his tail. "So, for your own sakes, be better." He then smiled before saying, "Thank you."
After dispersing his aura, he jumped down and landed on an open space that people made.
With the commotion gone, the crowd of students sighed in relief, but the blaring sirens outside caught their attention.
"Looks like the police are here," Momo pointed out the window. "Along with Mr. Aizawa, too."
Those like the One for All Quirk, Hardening Quirk, Electrification Quirk, Creation Quirk, and Lycan Shifter Quirk users couldn't help but smile at the tailed alien, who gave one to each of them back in return.
A Few Minutes Later-
Outside, Principal Nezu, Midnight, and Recovery Girl stood before the crumbled-down, ruined school's gate.
Along with another teacher, whose costume consists of a white space suit with a matching colored puffy jacket, a black helmet with white lenses, and yellow boots.
As they all observed, Nezu couldn't help but ask himself, "How were ordinary press members able to bypass our security systems?"
"Someone else must have been behind this. A villain actually managed to infiltrate our school. But was this purely a show of power… or a declaration of war?" He wondered, staring at the debris.
Next Day- 12:50 a.m.-
Now starting Foundational Hero Studies early, instead of All Mightm, Shota stood before his seated class.
"Today's training will be a little different." He started.
"You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you."
Most of Class 1A gasped at this announcement in surprise.
Tekkan piped up at this."Three pros, including the Symbol of Peace huh? Most likely because of what happened yesterday," he thought.
Hanta raised his hand, asking, "Sir, what kind of training is this?"
The Erasure Quirk user held up a card with 'RESCUE' written on it from his right hand. "Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that."
Most of the class chatted in excitement except Shoto, Tekkan, Katsuki, and Momo.
"Disasters, huh?" He glanced at Mina and said, "Sounds like we're in for a big workout, huh?"
"Totally!" Mina agreed enthusiastically.
"Real hero stuff. What separates the men from the boys. I'm shaking with excitement." Eijiro said.
"Finally, I get to show off how good I want it. Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
"Maybe we'll get to rescue each other." Zrya wondered, staring at those like Eijiro, Izuku, and Tekkan.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet." Shota interrupted, bringing the class' attention back to him.
"What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know that you're excited about costumes…"
The pro hero reached inside his cloth to pull out the '1A.' capsule and set it on the podium, popping it open as a small smoke cloud surrounded it before it dispersed.
The large metal box of capsules lay there. "…but remember that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. That's all. Start getting ready." Shota concluded before walking out of the room.
Soon, other students got up to collect their capsules to leave and change.
"Rescue training," Izuku thought before standing up. "I've been waiting for this. It'll bring me one step closer to being the kind of hero All Might is. I'll do my best," he thought determinedly.
8 Minutes Later-
Outside, near the gate, Izuku waited for the bus to arrive with the rest of his class, now wearing a brand new version of his Alpha costume.
"Can't believe that my original costume didn't even last a whole week." He then turned to see Ochako approaching him.
"Deku? How did you get your costume fixed? I thought it was damaged?" The Zero Gravity Quirk user asked.
"Same," Zrya chimed in, walking over to him. "Didn't think you'd be able to fix it overnight."
Izuku blushed before he replied, "Actually, it was Tekkan's idea to make two, just in case. I didn't think I'd swap into this one so soon, though."
TOOOOOT!
Speaking of, the teen Saiyan, who stood before the bus' main door, whistled to get his class' attention. "C'mon, everyone! It's time to go!"
Two Minutes Later-
Now, the bus was en route to their destination, with Tekkan sitting on a two-seater near the back next to Momo.
Mina, Tenya, Yuga, and Denki sat on a four-seater on the right-hand side of the bus. Rikido, Izuku, Tsuyu, and Eijiro face them from the opposite side.
"I just want to point out the obvious and say this…" Tsuyu said before glancing left at Izuku. "About you, actually."
"About me? What is it, Asui?" The green-haired teen asked nervously.
"I told you to call me 'Tsu.'"
"Oh, yeah. Right." The One for All Quirk user apologized, slightly embarrassed.
"That power of yours, isn't a lot like All Might's?" The Frog Quirk user she compared.
"She couldn't be anymore right…" Tekkan thought dryly.
Izuku's eyes widened, and he started to sweat as he yelped. "What? Really? You think so, huh? I never really though about that. I guess it's kinda similar-"
"Wait, hold on, Tsu," Eijiro chimed in, "You're forgetting that All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference," he pointed out as the green-haired teen sighed in gratitude.
"Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple mutation type of Quirk. You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it." The red-haired teen raised his left arm and used his Quirk to harden it to make it jagged and sharp.
"My Hardening is super strong and could destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."
Izuku smiled brightly at his Quirk display. "Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking. You're definitely pro material with a Quirk like that."
The Hardening Quirk user smirked at his compliment. "You really think so?" He lowered his arm, undoing his Quirk. "It seems like it'd be easier to be a popular Hero if I had something flashier."
"My Navel Laser got the perfect combination of panache and strength," Yuga gloated with his hands against his face.
"But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweety." Mina gently reminded him, placing a hand on his shoulder as he looked at her, upset.
In the back of the bus, on a two-seater, sat Katsuki, leaning his mouth against the back of his left knuckle, looking out the window. He was missing his right grenadier bracer and mask. On his right was Jiro, scrolling through her phone, which was connected to her left earphone jack.
Shoto sat behind them in a two-seater, whose head leaned back with his eyes closed. On his right was Zrya, who was taking multiple selfies with the sleeping Half-Cold Half-Hot Quirk user.
"Well if any of our classmates have pro Quirks, it's definitely Tekkan, Todoroki and Bakugo," Eijiro noted, causing Katsuki to perk up but look away with a scowl.
"Sure, but Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular." Tsuyu boldly stated.
This caused the sandy blond teen to shoot up and shout out, "What did you say?! I'll kick your ass!"
Proving her point, the dark green-haired teen pointed at him. "You see."
"You know, we basically just met you, so it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Denki said mockingly with a smile.
"A+ for being so real!" Zrya playfully added on, sticking out her tongue.
"You're gonna regret the day you both applied to this school, you losers! Your dead!" The Explosion Quirk user barked at them.
Meanwhile, Izuku lowered his head and gripped it in utter shock. "I can't believe what I'm hearing. Kacchan's the one in class who's getting teased now. U.A. is so confusing!"
Tekkan could only sigh in slight disappointment. "Katsuki's never gonna change."
As Katsuki kept on arguing, Momo held a hand over her mouth in minor disgust. "This is such a disgusting conversation."
Tekkan lightly elbowed her left shoulder before saying, "But at you never get bored in our class. Especially on a field trip."
"Hey, hey, we're here!" Shota announced, standing by the moving bus' doorframe. "Stop messing around."
"Yes, sir/Whatever." Class 1A, including Katsuki, reluctantly said in unison.
Two Minutes Later-
Finally, the bus arrived in front of a massive, towering, dome-shaped training facility. Shota was the first bus, following his students as they walked towards the sizeable double-gated frame with "USJ" printed in gold above it.
"Hello, everyone, I've been waiting for you!" Class 1A turned their attention towards a female voice. A few gasped at the sight of the pro hero, Thirteen.
"It's the Space Hero Thirteen," Izuku thought, covering his mouth from his blush. "The chivalrous pro who's rescued people from disasters worldwide."
"Woohoo!" Ochaco suddenly cheered, shaking Tenya excitedly back and forth, who didn't mind. "Thirteen is one of my favorite Heroes!"
"I can't wait to show you what's inside," Thirteen said, leading the class into the building.
Once they entered, most of the class gawked in awe. Eight enormous disaster stages were from one corner of the building to the end, including where they stood.
"So…we are going to train in any one of these locations, huh?" Tekkan thought, trapping on his scouter to enable recording.
"Holy crap! It looks like some kind of like an amusement park," Eijiro commented.
Zrya's nose twitched as she eagerly examined each disaster stage. "So many different terrains, so many scents!"
"A shipwreck. A landslide. A fire. A windstorm. Etc." Thirteen listed off with excitement.
Thirteen looked at the building with arms spread, facing back to the students. "I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters. I call it the Unforeseen Simulation Joint! But you can call it USJ!"
The students stared at Thirteen blankly and deadpanned. "That's just like Universal Studios Japan." They all thought in unison.
Shota walked up to his colleague. "Hey, shouldn't All Might be here already? Let me guess, he booked another interview instead."
"Actually, it's something else," Thirteen quietly replied, approaching Eraserhead to explain why.
However, Tekkan could overhear her whispers. "Apparently, he did too much hero work on the way to school this morning and used up all of his powers. He's resting in the teacher's lounge."
The Erasure Quirk user sighed in irritation. "That man is the height of irresponsibility." he concluded quietly. "Well, we should be okay with just the two of us."
"The Clock's ticking. We should get started," the pro hero said, stepping aside from Thirteen.
"Excellent." Thirteen said before looking at the rest of Class 1A.
"Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four, or five."
"We get it," Everyone but Tekkan thought in unison.
Thirteen started by holding up her left hand. "Listen carefully. I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk. It's called Blackhole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust."
Ochaco nodded rapidly in agreement when Izuku said, "Yeah, you've used Black Hole to save people from all kinds of disasters before, haven't you?"
"But seems like that Quirk is more suited for combat," Tekkan added, which she picked up.
Thirteen nodded, "Yes, you're both correct. Which is my Quirk could also very easily be used to kill."
She stated, lowering her arm and drawing a few gasps from the class.
"Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous. All Quirks are certified and stringently regulated in our superhuman society, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be."
Suddenly, Tekkan's Scouter started beeping uncontrollably. "Huh?"
*BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP*
"Please don't forget that if you lose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly. Even if you're trying to do something virtuous like rescue someone."
*BEEP*
The teen Saiyan froze and glanced at the power level on the lens. Tekkan quickly looked around, but he didn't see its origin.
"That's…weird…were the only ones here…but it's picking of an low unknown power level…"
"You have a solid idea of your Quirk's potential thanks to Aizawa's fitness tests. And because of All Might's combat training, you've likely experienced how dangerous your powers can be when used against other people. Carry those lessons over to this class."
*BEEP*
The Scouter beeped again, warning him that another power level had been detected. "Something wrong…"
"Today, you're going to learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help. After all, that's what being a hero is all about. Ensuring the safety of others."
The Black Hole Quirk user then concluded with a blow, "That's all I have to say. Thank you so much for listening."
Most of them cheered and clapped out of respect for her, except Tekkan, who kept tapping on the scouter. *BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEE-*
Shota noticed and asked, "Is something the matter, Tekkan?"
He didn't answer, and his Scouter began to beep even faster, highlighting dozens upon dozens of more power levels.
*BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEEP**BEE-*
Electricity started short-circuiting the lights, leaving only sunlight to shine through the shaded windows. The fountain in the Central Plaza turned off and on again until it stopped spraying water and appeared distorted.
"Oh no…!" Tekkan's eyes widened in realization. He put his hood over his head and vanished, reappearing at the top of the stairs, getting confused looks from the pro heroes.
"We got incoming!" He exclaimed.
Before Shota could speak, he saw a purplish-black mist appear before the fountain started swirling violently and expanding in size to create a portal.
Tekkan grunted and raised an eyebrow until a pale hand reached out to grab the outside of the swirling portal.
Then, he could see a man's left red iris eye with wrinkles around it, messy grayish-blue hair, and a grayish-blue hand covering his face.
As he walked through the portal, he revealed his other eye. Thirteen more hands, each holding an upper body part of him, were attached to a golden box with two holes drilled into their bottoms: two on each shoulder, three on each arm, two on the upper sides of his chest, and one on the back of his head.
The blue-haired man wore a long black-sleeved v-neck shirt, black pants, and red sneakers.
On cue, dozens of other people of all various appearances and Quirks stepped through the fog gateway.
The Eraser Quirk user narrowed his eyes before turning to Tekkan, who kept observing. "Tekkan! Move back!"
The spiky-haired alien nodded before leaping back next to the OFA Quirk user in front of his classmates.
"Stay together, and don't move!" The pro hero instructed Class 1A before refacing the portal. "Thirteen. Protect the students!"
Soon, the rest of the students noticed the portal, and Eijiro inquired. "Whoa, Tekkan, what's happening? Is this a part of training or something?"
As Izuku was about to step forward, Tekkan held out his right arm to stop him and shook his head.
"Not at all, and my Scouter is detecting more than a hundred other power levels. We're being invaded!"
All of his classmates tensed up and gasped at his statement. "D-Did you just say- h-hundred?!" The green-haired teen shuddered in horror.
"Tekkan's right!" Eraserhead stated, taking out his goggles to put it on. "And those ARE villains!" He confirmed to them, which all nearly gasped again in surprise.
Preview: After Katsuki's declaration to both All Might and Izuku after their Battle Trails, Tekkan has been elected class representative, proving himself worthy of it during an emergency evacuation from a Level Three security breach. Now, in the USJ, Class 1A and their chaperones, Eraserhead and Thirteen, face an army of villains who vastly outnumber them. Will Tekkan and the others be able to defend themselves from this threat?
Find out in the next chapter of "Dragon Ball Z Heroes."
