Theme: Lucas' nightmare-A possible reality

Situation: A home birth that has gone way wrong

Scene 1: The Scott's house-a difficult water birth

Peyton (screaming): AHA..AHA..AHA

Midwife (encouraging Peyton): Push, Peyton, Push

Lucky and Sawyer: GO MOM!

Peyton (exhausted, she rests in Lucas' arms): Whenever shall I see Aidan?

Lucas (touching Peyton's stomach, he talks to Aidan): Please come out. You are giving your mom pain.

Midwife (checking her watch): The baby should've been born by now

Lucas (concerned): Whats the hold up?

Midwife (laying her hand on Peyton's stomach): The baby could be stuck in the birth canal

Peyton (her eyes grow big with concern): Stuck?! Not again

Midwife: Have you been in this situation before?

Lucas (choked up): Our daughter, Lucky was stuck in the birth canal. Peyton and her almost died until forceps intervened.

Midwife: The baby needs to be delivered asap. Can someone please get me tongs?

Peyton: I will be better off at the hospital

Lucas: Peyton is right

Midwife (getting out her cellphone): Its a good thing that I have my cellphone

Lucas: The longer Aidan stays inside Peyton, the quicker his health will begin to deteriorate. I can drive us to the hospital.

(Carefully, everyone helps Peyton out of the birthing pool. The long drive to the hospital takes a huge toll on Peyton whose pain is beyond normal. Aidan Lucas Scott is delivered via an emergency cesarean section at the hospital)

Scene: Lucas and Peyton's bedroom

(Lucas sleeps peacefully in the bed while Peyton endures painful contractions)

Peyton (loudly moans): Lucas...Lucas..Lucas

Lucas (startled ): Peyton?!

Peyton (grabs hold of her stomach): Its time

Lucas: The baby is not due for several weeks. I remember April 21 is his due date.

Peyton: Babies come when they want to. Aidan wants to be born today. This is not a April Fools' joke. You need to do the following things: wake up the girls, call the midwife and prepare the birthing pool. The girls can help you time my contractions.
