Chapter 1: Familiar

Beep*..*Beep*
"Rin! Wake up! You're gonna be late again!"
A voice rang out from the living room, it was my loving brother, Hiyama Kiyoteru.
I sighed. I know he means good, honestly, if he didn't wake me up every morning, i would be late or even be absent from my classes.
Oh yeah, i forgot to say; i am Rin Hiyama, I am 14.
I have blonde hair and blue eyes, i like oranges and i say thay they are the beat fruits-No! Best ever foods that ever existed in existence!
Anyways. I stood up and took a short bath before changing into my school uniform. I rushes down the stairs to the living room, i went directly to the kitchen and there, my brother.
"Rin, for the 10th,"-
"Actually, it's the 11th time," I corrected with a smirk.
"Right, 11th time, just please wake up more early next time, Rin. You can't always have me wake you up," He said with a tired sigh. "Ok, ok, fine, maybe I'll be more responsible," I said, hoping to at least show that I am not just some girl who will always bother him and be a burden.
"Ok, thanks, now hurry up and eat breakfast, mom and dad already left. Dad went to work and mom went to buy groceries earlier," Kiyoteru said.
He was always a patient person, unlike me who gets easily angry and annoyed at things. No! I don't have a bad temper, i am just not as patient as Him.
After finishing breakfast, me and Kiyoteru went outside, but not before locking the door and turning off the lights. Oh, don't worry, mom has a spare key, we all do.
We walked towards the nearby bus stop, doing some small talk on the way. Soon we arrive and just in time, the bus just arrived. In a hurry, both me and Kiyoteru ran towards the bus, and to our luck, we were able to reach it before it drove off.
We went inside and immediately sat in vacant seats. I sat near the window because i like to watch through the window when rising the bus.
And finally, we arrived at our stop.
Me and Kiyoteru went out the bus, and there, behold school, where both allies and foes exists, where dreams and nightmares exists and many more!
"Well, You'll be fine on your own right, Rin?" Kiyoteru asked. I nodded, flashing a grin at him.
"Ok then, I'm off," He said before walking off to join a group of students i presume to be his friends.
With a deep breath, i also went my way, going inside the school building.
I walked through the halls and up stairs. It was annoying because classroom 10-A is the classroom i am in and it is in the damn 4th floor!
But it's not that bad, afterall, exercise!
And here, i am so close, so close, but then.
Thud* someone had bumped into me, making me fall back on my backside.
"ah- oh no, looks like you messed up, Len," A boy with blue hair and a small blue scarf said.
"L-Len?" I muttered, was that the name of the boy that bumped into me?
I then heard a nervous chuckle. "Yeah, that's me," The boy said.
"Len?" I repeated.
"Um, oh no, Len. You broke her," The bluenette said. "Shut up, Kaito," Len said, elbowing the bluenette who was called 'Kaito'.
"Anyway, can you stand up?" Len said, his hand extended towards me. Kaito now is clutching his stomach in pain.
I nodded, accepting Len's help. Len..it sounds familiar..wait! Len! As in Len Kagamine! That, when did he?
As I stand up with the help of Len, i look at him, scanning him. Len chuckles nervously, noticing my stare. "Haha...so, I'm Len, you?" He asked. I blinked..what did he just say? "What?" I said in disbelief, doesn't he remember me?
"Oh? Um, I'm Len Kagamine, and I was hoping to know your name," Len said with a sheepish chuckle..
"I am, Rin Hiyama," I said.
"And I am Kaito shion," Kaitol chimed in, earning another elbow from Len "Wait your turn, Kaito," Len said. When was Len, so violent? Who knows, it has been years since...that day.
all she could do was shout his name and chase him down. She didnt meant for this to happen. Len had tripped and stumbled down the hill. She just wanted to run down the hill with him, but she never expected this to happen. And now, she looks down on the motionless Len on the ground, his head bleeding from the impact of his fall to a small rock on the bottom.
She goes down, her eyes full of tears once again.
"Help!..Help!" she shouted in desperation.
She continues on to call for help, and luckily, Kiyoteru was nearby.
Kiyoteru was just looking for Rin because it was getting late, he didnt expect finding Rin and Len missing in the playground and be here, with Len on the ground with his head bleeding as Rin screams for help.
"Oh my God! Rin, what happend!?" Kiyoteru exclaimed as he rushed towards Len, taking off his cardigan to pressed against the wound of Len's head to stop the bleeding.
"I- i- i didn't want this happen, i didn't mean to," Rin siad between sobs, her eyes watering, sniffling between syllables.
"Rin it's ok, lets get Len help first, you can tell me what happened, ok?" Kiyoteru said, a small smile forming on his lips to cheer up Rin
"O-ok," Rin said in a shaky nod.
I could still remember it so clearly, if I hadn't been reckless, Len would have never fallen. The guilt I felt on that day was incomparable to any guilt I have felt, and even now, that memory still holds that position.
"Hello? Hello? Earth Rin," I suddenly realized that I blanked, forgetting that Len and Kaito were in front of me. "A-ah, sorry, I just got lost in thought," I said, bowing apologetically at them.
"It's ok, anyway what class are you in?" Len said.
"10-A" I replied, which made Len's face lit up.
"Really? Hey Kaito, guess we can part ways now," Len said, looking at Kaito. "Thank God," Kaito sighed in relief, he then soon turned to me "Rin, Take care of this little guy for me, Bye!" He said, not even waiting for me or Len to say bye before running off.
"What was that all about?" I said. "Oh, he's just being lazy," Len said with a dismissive wave of his hand. Before I could say something, Len said "Anyways, you're in classroom 10-A, right?" Len asked, I nodded, still wondering why it was important for him to know.
"Great! Can you accompany me there? I don't know where it is," Len said. Wait! How can a student here not know where their assigned classroom is..unless?
"Are you a transfer student?" I asked, which made his eyes widen. "Oh! Yeah! I forgot to mention that," He said with a sheepish smile. "Figured as much, sure I can accompany you there," I said with a polite smile. Does he really not remember me?
He doesn't remember me, that I'm for certain.
"Thanks, Rin." He said. I nod, still maintaining my polite smile. "No problem," I said.
An awkward silence came between us.
"So? What are we even waiting for, come on!' I said, grabbing his hand which surprised him.
"Wah!" He said, as I dragged him with me, I felt his grip tighten on my arms. Why did I suddenly grab his hand? If he did forget me, he would think I was weird for just grabbing his hand like we were old friends. But we are, sadly, he just forgot.
