Hi, this mastershadow300 this is my version of sonic X, I don't own sonic.
my version involves more characters than the ones from the series, I hope you like it.

"A Dastardly Deed".

(Scene: Chucks basement lab)

Hope, Nicole, and Charles are analyzing shard in his Robian form.

"Hmm," Hope said."

"So, is there a way for me to be turned back to normal?" Shard asked."

"I'm afraid not, I'm sorry," Charles said."

"I see, well, if Bunnie can handle her cybernetics, then I can get used to this," Shard said."

"That's good to here," Nicole said."

(Scene: Thorndyke Mansion - Outside)

The X-Tornado is ready to take off. The X-Tornado's wings fold into position.

"Stand by for takeoff!" Tails said."

The palm trees fold back.

"X-Tornado, let's go!" Tails said."

The X-Tornado taxis down the runway.

"Lifting off," Tails said."

The X-Tornado takes off with Sally, Chris, Danny, and Sonic aboard.

"Hold on tight, Sonic. It's time to deploy our stabilizing wings," Tails said."

The other wings fold as the X-Tornado flies out of sight.

"Do you think they'll be able to find that seventh Emerald, Mr. Thorndyke?" Frances asked."

"It's possible, but they're not the only ones who'll be looking for it," Chuck replied."

"Ah wouldn't worry. we got most of the emeralds so far," Bunnie said."

"And Knuckles have one as well," Morain said."

(Scene: Thorndyke Mansion - Kitchen)

Ella, Cream, Cheese, Alexis, Maisy, Megan, Bernadette, Alicia, and Aleena are busy cooking.

"Don't you worry, they're going to find that Emerald before you know it," Ella said."

The group smiles, closes their eyes, and laughs.

"Chao!" Cheese said."

(Scene Change: The X-Tornado)

"Any signs of the Emerald yet, Tails?" Sally asked."

"Nope," Tails replied."

"Wow, this is so great!" Danny said."

But Chris has a sad expression, and he does not answer. Sonic, who is standing on the wing, is looking around.

"Hey, c'mon. Aren't you gonna help look?" Danny asked."

"Uh, yeah, sure," Chris replied."

As Danny pulls out a pair of binoculars and looks through them, Chris looks down sadly, knowing that may very well be the last day he ever sees Sonic.

(The opening theme plays)

(Scene Change: The Egg Fort II)

The Egg Fort II is parked in a wooded area behind a mountain. Eggman is watching Sonic's exploits and laughing.

"It looks like Dr. Eggman is in a very good mood," Decoe said."

"Yes. He seems especially confident, doesn't he?" Bocoe asked."

"Yeah," Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Snively, and Eggette said."

(Laughs)" something tells me today can be a very lucky day. In fact, those Chaos Emeralds are as good as mine if I play my cards right," Eggman said."

Bocoe presents the robot cards to Eggman.

"Your cards," Decoe said."

"No need. I've already chosen my two weapons," Eggman said."

"What do you mean Doctor?" Scratch asked."

"What are they?" Grounder asked."

"The suspense is killing me!" Coconuts said."

The Egg Fort II's exit hatch opens revealing two robots, one resembling a bell named E-77 Lucky the second one resembling an orange ant like robot called E-07 Ant Acid. Eggman, Eggette, Snively, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Bocoe, and Decoe watch as the two robots starts walking down the ramp, but Lucky loses its balance and falls on its face as Ant Acid looked annoyed.

"Oh!" Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Bocoe, and Decoe said."

"You have got to be kidding, Doctor!" Decoe said."

"That is the strangest-looking robot I have ever seen," Bocoe said."

"Except for Ant Acid, he's cool," Scratch said."

"Sure! He may look like a loser, but Lucky is exactly the charm we need to capture that final Chaos Emerald!" Eggman said." Meanwhile, Ant Acid will persuade Shard into joining us."

"Ah!" Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Bocoe, and Decoe said."

"Just wait. With Lucky on our side, we'll have that Emerald in no time," Eggman said."

He looks back at the screen, which shows Lucky walking through the forest while Ant Acid walks in the opposite direction.

"Good luck, Lucky! And bring back the prize," Eggman said."

(Scene Change: Forest)

Knuckles and Julie-su are walking through the forest, holding the Chaos Emerald he found in Oriental City.

"This planet isn't so bad, I suppose," Julie-su said."

"Yeah, but I'd do anything to get back home," Knuckles said." What did that voice say?"

"You know," Julie-su replied."

(Flashback)" The servers are the seven chaos," the voice said."

"That's what the voice said," Julie-su said." But that could mean anything."

Knuckles stops.

"We can only get back home if we find all seven Chaos Emeralds. Well... Sonic and the others have four, Eggman's got one, and then there's this one we got from Hawk. That makes six in all. But even if we find the last one, we'd still have to convince Eggman to give up his. And since Sonic and Eggman don't seem to see eye-to-eye, we'll never get back home unless I can get them to work together," Knuckles said."

"Good luck with that," Payback said as she leaps out of a tree.

"You're Payback fox, right?" Knuckles asked."

"Yes, and teaming up with Eggman would be a bad idea," Payback replied."

"How so?" Julie-su asked."

"Knowing Eggman he would stab us in the back when the time comes," Payback replied."

"She's got a point, but it's our only chance to get home by teaming up with Eggman," Knuckles said."

"Were you dropped when you were a baby?" Julie-su asked."

"One No, two I know his game and I have a plan," Knuckles replied."

They suddenly hear a strange beeping noise from nearby.

"What's that?" Knuckles asked."

He parts the bushes and sees Lucky on its back, struggling to get up. Knuckles runs over and helps it up.

"You must be Eggman's robot," Knuckles said."

Lucky nods, Julie-su pulls out her blaster, only for Knuckles to stop her.

"Hold on, this might be our chance to find Eggman and put my plan into effect," Knuckles said."

"He's right," Payback said."

"What are you doing around here?" Knuckles asked."

It points towards the Egg Fort II, which Knuckles, Julie-su, and Payback now sees. He holds up his Emerald.

"Maybe the Emerald led us here somehow," Knuckles said." Come on."

Payback and Julie-su follow close.

"My plan is to give Eggman fake chaos emeralds," Knuckles said."

"That's brilliant, Knuckles!" Julie-su said."

"Clever," Payback said."

"Yup, that way, it won't matter if he plots to double cross us with them," Knuckles said."

"Right," Julie-su said."

"But, in order to make them, we'll need a small piece of the real chaos emeralds," Knuckles said."

"Are you nuts?!" payback asked."

"Maybe I am, but if my plan works, it'll help everyone," Knuckles replied."

(Scene Change: Chris' school, day)

The students are doing their work as Mr. Stewart writes on the chalkboard as Hope helps a student stuck on a question. Chris does not look engaged.

"Lunch time, children," Stewart said."

(All right!) (I'm starving!)" some of the students said."

"Chris, you wanna eat lunch with us?" Frances asked."

Chris does not answer.

"Yo, wake up!" Danny said."

"Uh, I'm not too hungry right now, guys," Chris said."

(Winks)" Kay. We'll catch ya later, then," Frances said."

"Yeah, o-okay," Chris said."

Danny and Frances leave. Mr. Stewart notices Chris' behavior and walks over to him.

"You know, I think you and I should visit the counseling office," Stewart said."

"Uh, no thanks, uhh...," Chris said."

"Come on, Chris. Let's go," Stewart said."

"Uh...," Chris said."

He reluctantly gets up and follows Mr. Stewart to the counseling room.

(Scene Change: Chris' school - Counseling room)

Chris is lying on a couch, while Mr. Stewart sits on a chair nearby.

"Are you ready Chris?" Stewart asked."

"Yeah...," Chris replied."

"Now... tell me, Chris. What's bothering you?" Stewart asked."

"I don't know what's wrong with me. Lately I'm feeling really confused," Chris replied."

"Like you're... torn?" Stewart asked."

"Yeah," Chris replied."

"I think I understand why. Part of you wants to help Sonic and his friends return home, but another part of you doesn't want to lose your new friends," Stewart said."

"Huh?" Chris asked."

"It's quite obvious that this conflict is creating a war deep within you, Chris," Stewart replied."

Chris immediately sits up and kneels on the bed.

"You're right! That's just how I feel, Mr. Stewart!" Chris said."

"It's natural, but you must face that fact that one day your friends are going to return home," Stewart said."

"Hm," Chris said."

"It's difficult, but you have to think about what's best for them," Stewart said."

"I... know...," Chris said."

Mr. Stewart lays a hand on Chris' shoulder.

"Everything is going to be okay, I promise you," Stewart said."

He steps outside the counselling room to take a call on his wrist communicator.

(On radio) "Yes?" Stewart asked."

(Over radio) "Just checking in, Chalkboard Charlie," the officer replied." Any problems?"

(On radio) "No, sir... Nothing I can't handle," Stewart replied."

Hope was listening to everything and felt bad for Chris.

'Poor Chris, part of me doesn't want to leave either,' Hope thought.'

(Scene Change: The White House)

"So, what you're saying, Rouge, is that the Chaos Control explosion that sent Eggman here was caused when the seven Chaos Emeralds came together?" the president asked."

"Exactly," Rouge replied."

"I see. So, if we could create our own Chaos Control, then we just might solve our Eggman problem," the president said."

"I'm afraid it's not that simple," Nails said."

All eyes turn to her.

"Really? Why not?" the president asked."

"Mr. President, I think that we need to first consider the effects such an action could have on the safety of the planet," Nails said."

"Like what?" the aide asked."

"Quiet. Go on, Nails," the president replied."

"Moving forward without careful consideration could create a worldwide disaster. I think it's wise to do everything we can to keep that from happening," Nails said."

"Chaos energy is something all Mobians have. we're the only ones best to understand it," Rouge said."

"I see. Perhaps until we're sure of what we're getting into, we need to keep those Emeralds apart," the president said."

"I believe so, sir," Topaz said."

"The question is, how do we manage to do that?" the president said."

Rouge smirks as Nails notices.

(Scene Change: Thorndyke Mansion - Chuck's Lab)

Chris enters the lab, where he sees Ella cleaning the room and Hope reading a novel.

"Hi, Ella," Chris said."

"Ahh, hi, Chris. Did you have a good day?" Ella asked."

"Yeah," Chris replied." Where is everyone?"

"They're out looking for the Chaos Emerald again, like usual. And Grandpa's gone somewhere looking for new parts for his crazy machines and Belle is helping him. Thank goodness I can finally clean up this mess now," Ella replied."

As Ella leaves, Chris looks around the now-empty room. Hope notices and closes her book.

"The place seems empty... This is how it was before they all got here, and when it's gonna be when they go...," Chris said."

"Chris, I overheard your talk with Stewart," Hope said."

"Oh," Chris said."

"Listen, we don't want to leave you either but that doesn't mean we'll see each other again," Hope said." Truth be told, you're like a little brother to me."

"You really think so?" Chris asked."

"I know so," Hope replied."

"Thanks hope, to be honest, you're like a sister to me," Chris said."

Hope blushes and gives him a reassuring hug.

Memories of Sonic and friends flash before his eyes, then fade. Chris heads down the stairs.

(Off-screen) "Hello," Knuckles called out."

Chris and Hope sees Knuckles, Julie-su, Payback, and Lucky standing there.

"Hey, Knuckles. What's going on?" Chris said."

"And why are you guys doing with one of my uncles' robots?" Hope asked."

"We found him just roaming around the forest. Seems pretty harmless, though," Knuckles replied."

(Examining Lucky)" yup, this is E-77 Lucky, he's designed to bring good luck. he's no fighter," Hope said."

Lucky excitedly hugs Hope. she pats its head.

"Anyway, Is Sonic around. I've got to talk to him about something." Knuckles asked."

"Sorry, he's out looking for the last Emerald," Chris replied."

"That sounds like him alright," Payback said."

"Then give him this message. We have only one way to get back home. We've got to call a truce with Dr. Eggman," Knuckles said."

Chris and Hope were taken aback.

"A truce?! That'll never happen!" Chris said."

"We know how you feel," Payback said."

"That my uncle can't be trusted?" Hope asked sarcastically."

"Anyway, while I know that Eggman will stab us in the back, we don't have much choice," Knuckles said."

"Besides, Knuckles has a plan to pull an Eggman himself," Julie-su said."

"What kind?" Chris asked."

"Simple, fake chaos emeralds," Knuckles replied."

"I see. they're on the same wavelength as the real ones, but not as powerful," Hope said."

"Will it work?" Chris asked."

"If we do it right, it won't matter the counterfeit emeralds won't work on his machines," Hope replied."

"Sounds dangerous," Chris said."

"We're dealing with my uncle. you know from experience that things are often dangerous in that regard," Hope said."

"Good point," Chris said."

"Besides, my brother Colin has some affection for me. during our assault on Eggman's fortress, he alerted me to stay safe," Hope said."

"Colin?" Chris asked."

"Aka, Snively," Payback replied."

"Eggman's sidekick? he's your brother?" Chris asked."

"Yes, and his true name is Colin Kintobor, Jr. he's mostly called Snively in reference to him being a coward," Hope said." Eggette is his adopted daughter who helped him wipe out half of the overlanders including her own parents. Belle is also his daughter but she's nothing like him and RJ."

"I see, I guess it's a good thing since he still has affection for you," Chris said." While eggette is as evil as Eggman, after meeting Belle, I can tell she's nice but who's RJ?"

"Before we go looking for my uncle, we have to make those fakes," Hope said." Oh, and RJ is my uncle's robot son."

"Right," Knuckles said."

"We just need tiny pieces of the emeralds to make effective counterfeits," Hope said."

"How do we do that without damaging the emeralds?" Chris asked."

"Don't worry, they can repair themselves," Hope replied."

"Oh, never mind then," Chris said."

"Eggman's radars can't even tell the difference between the real or fake emeralds like can. thus, it gives us an advantage," Knuckles said."

"Then we better get started," Chris said."

Meanwhile, Shard is walking around the city in his organic form with Nicole.

"So, you can only stay in your form for a while with a power ring?" Shard asked."

"Yup, it's frustrating from time to time," Nicole replied." I really want to experience the same things with my friends."

"Hmm," Shard said. Maybe the others can help give you a solid body, I've seen then working on some nanites."

"If they succeed, then it'll help me feel more Mobian and be with my friends," Nicole said." (Thinking): 'And be with you Shard.'

Suddenly E-07 Ant acid appeared Infront of them scaring everyone and making them run. it then started to talk in Eggman's voice.

(Eggman's voice)" Join me Shard, you belong to the Eggman empire," Ant Acid said."

"Not on your life egghead," Shard said."

"So be it!" Ant Acid said."

Shard transforms into his robot form as Ant Acid shoots acid at him. just in time, Shard makes a shield protecting a mother and child.

"Is that all you got?" Shard asked smirking."

"What?"" Ant Acid asked feeling scared."

Shard charges his arms with electricity and slices Ant Acid in two destroying it. the citizens cheered on Shard's heroics.

"You are so cool," a kid said."

"Really? you don't mind my appearance?" Shard asked."

"Of course not, you saved me and my son," the kid's mother replied."

Shard feels happy after hearing that.

(Scene Change: Train Station)

"The express train will get us to Forest Hill in no time at all," Chris said."

"That's good to hear," Hope said."

"Final boarding call, Forest Hill Express, track 29," the intercom said.

They rush to the train and board it just in time. Soon they are in their way to Forest Hill. Lucky tries to follow, but falls over as it tries to climb the stairs.

(Scene Change: Forest Hill)

"Don't worry, Chris. Just stay calm and I'll do all the talking," Knuckles said."

He notices that Lucky isn't with them.

"Hey, the robot... Well... Easy come, easy go," Knuckles said."

"He'll be fine, he's Lucky," Hope said."

(Scene Change: The Egg Fort II)

Decoe sees Knuckles, Hope, Chris, Julie-su, Payback, and Chris approaching on the monitor.

"Whoa! Dr. Eggman, enemy approaching!" Decoe said."

"Prepare to launch attack!" Bocoe said."

Bocoe is about to press a button, but Eggman stops him.

"Wait!" Eggman said."

"But Dr. Eggman...," Bocoe said."

"Look there," Eggman said."

They see that Chris is holding a white flag on a stick - they surrender while Knuckles is showing his chaos emerald. Soon Chris, Hope, Julie-su, Payback and Knuckles are aboard the craft, having finished telling the story to Eggman.

"So, why are you here?" Eggman asked."

"Think of it this way. If we team up, we get the Emeralds together and Chaos Control sends us straight home to Mobius," Knuckles replied."

"But if we keep fighting like this, we'll all be stuck here for good, and that's bad," Julie-su said."

Knuckles and the others glance at each other.

"Yes. Yes, yes. That's right. I've never thought of it that way. Eh, how could I have been such a brainless greedy old fool?" Eggman asked."

He shakes Knuckles' hand. Hope looks at him suspiciously.

"Knuckles, I don't know how to thank you!" Eggman said."

"The pleasure is all mine, Dr. Eggman," Knuckles said."

Hope looks at him suspiciously as Chris breathes a sigh of relief.

"However, I do have one condition," Eggman said."

"What's that?" Knuckles asked."

"That you allow me to hold onto your Chaos Emerald," Eggman replied."

"You hold it?" Chris asked."

"Come now, don't you trust me? Nothing is more important between allies than trust. If you're asking me to trust you, the least you can do is trust me," Eggman replied."

'I can think of infinite reasons,' Hope thought.'

Knuckles crosses his arms.

"What do you think?" Chris asked."

"You can hold it," Knuckles replied."

Eggman laughs and again shakes Knuckles' hand.

"Thanks, Knuckles. We make a great team," Eggman said."

(To himself) 'Well, he did it. I guess it was the right thing, but I don't think Sonic's gonna like it...," Chris thought.'

Eggman, Snively, Eggette, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Bocoe, and Decoe watch the Mobians, Chris and Hope leave.

"Well, well, well... Who would have thought our little friend Knuckles was such an honest fellow? As a matter of fact, I'd say he's honest to a fault!" Eggman said."

"What do you mean?" Scratch asked."

"I mean our naïve little knucklehead is playing right into our hands. Yes...," Eggman replied as he Laughs.

With the Mobians, Hope and Chris.

"Do you think he's playing us?" Chris asked."

"Doesn't matter, the emerald I left him was fake anyway and he's none the wiser," Knuckles replied."

Hope still suspicious of Eggman's behavior from earlier.

"My uncle is very crafty, he'll probably study the fake," Hope said."

"Hope makes a good point," Chris said."

"Don't worry, my ancestor Edmund studied the chaos emeralds. our family can make very convincing fakes," Knuckles said."

"That's good to know," Chris said."

"While the fakes aren't as powerful, they're still quite potent," Knuckles said."

"Makes sense," Chris said."

(Scene Change: Dumpster)

A sad Lucky is sitting alone on top of a dumpster. A black cat startles him so that he falls backward into the dumpster. A garbage truck approach. The truck arrives, and a garbage man climbs out to signal to it.

"Okay, okay. A little bit more," the garbage man said."

The truck inserts its prongs into the dumpster's slots. The contents of the dumpster, including Lucky, are dumped into the truck. After Jerome gets back in, the truck drives away.

(Scene Change: Thorndyke Mansion - Chuck's lab, night)

The Next Show is playing.

"Okay, kids, it's that time again! Everybody dance! Dance! Dance! Dance!" Next said."

Cream, Cheese, Tania, Maisy, Ben, Muttski, Tufftee, and Alexis are dancing along with Next. Chuck, and the Mobians are also present. Just then Chris and Hope arrives.

"Hey, I'm home," Chris said."

"Chris, it's late. Where have you and Hope been all this time?" Chuck asked."

"Sorry, I-I was over at Danny's house studying and Hope came with me," Chris replied." Oh, by the way, did you guys find any Chaos Emeralds today?"

"We didn't find anything, Chris," Tails replied." Even with me, Rotor, Renee, Cyrus, and Techno."

"Sorry guys," Chris said."

Just then Chris notices Cream and Cheese crying while the other young Mobians looked down.

"Guys, what's wrong?" Hope asked."

"Our favorite program won't be on next week!" Cream replied."

"Chao-chao-chao!" Cheese said."

"And it stinks," Alexis said."

"Why a week, why not two days?" Maisy asked."

(Relieved) "Ah. Is that all?" Chris asked."

He notices that three of the Chaos Emeralds are right there.

"We'll find that last Emerald, won't we?" Cyrus asked."

"You bet we will, Cyrus," Chuck said."

Chris feels conflicted.

"Are you ok Chris?" Hope asked."

"I'm not sure if I can go through with this," Chris replied."

"I know how you feel Chris," Hope said."

"I want to help you guys get back, but with you know who feels like a bad idea," Chris said."

"Believe me, I have my doubts too, especially the way my uncle was acting earlier," Hope said."

"You guys wouldn't be thinking about working with Eggman would you?" Sonic asked."

Chris had shock look on his face.

"Because if you are, then that's a stupid move. even for a human," Amy said."

Chris wears a hurt expression while Sally smacks the back of Amy's head.

"Tactful as always Amy," Sally said sarcastically."

(realizes their plan)" So, you ARE thinking of working with Eggman," Sonic said."

"Look, we don't like it either, but we don't have a lot of options right now," Hope said."

(thinking it over)" Hmm, that's true. but knowing Eggman, he'll double-cross you, right?" Sonic asked."

"Of course, we know that! that's why we're giving him these," Hope replied."

She reveals the fake emeralds.

"Duplicates, genius!" Sally said."

"Knuckles assured us that these duplicates are as much as real as the real ones," Hope said."

"Hold on, it was Knuckles' idea?" Tiara asked."

"Yup," Hope replied."

The others were blown away by the idea of Knuckles coming up with such a clever plan.

"Welp, I'm lost for words," Manic said."

"Me too," Rotor said."

"Sounds like Knuckles was in his element. when he's in his element, he's clever and resourceful. when me and Tails went to angel island, he set up traps we fell for every time," Sonic said."

"I rather not be reminded of that," Tails said."

"Bunnie and Ant said that Knux is a talented actor," Sonic said."

"C'est true," Antonie said." He might do theater shows."

"It's risky, but if it means pulling a fast one on Eggman, its worth a shot," Chuck said."

"Just be careful, y'all. Ah know y'all have a plan, but Eggman is pretty sly," Bunnie said."

"We understand," Hope said."

"We promise we'll be careful," Chris said."

(Scene Change: Train station, night)

Chris and Hope reunites with Knuckles, Julie-su, and Payback at the train station.

"Do you have them?" Knuckles asked."

"Yup, everyone in my home knows about the plan, but I'm still worried about Eggman finding a way to get the real emeralds," Chris replied."

"You're right to be concerned, but rest assured, we know how to handle egghead," Julie-su said."

"Agreed," Payback said."

They board the train.

(Scene Change: Landfill)

Lucky unburies itself from the trash and studies its surroundings.

(Scene Change: Forest Hill)

G.U.N. agents led by Captain Westwood and Topaz are on the scene.

"The signal's coming from somewhere around here." Westwood said."

"Be on your guard, boys," Topaz said."

As the other agents move out, Rouge and Nails pokes their head out of a tree.

"Why am we hanging around?" Nails asked."

"Just keep watch. We're going to find that Emerald," Topaz replied."

"Yeah, okay. Oh, by the way, I know where it is," Rouge said."

"Really?" Westwood asked not convinced."

She leads Topaz and Westwood to a cliff overlooking the Egg Fort II.

"Wow," Topaz said."

She radios headquarters.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Westwood said." (Thinking): 'these amateurs are making me look bad!'

(On radio)" Chief, I think we've found it," Topaz said."

(Scene Change: The White House)

The Director of Central Intelligence opens the door to the Oval Office.

"Mr. President. Good news, sir. We've found Eggman's base," the intelligence officer said."

"Let's make the call," the president said."

"Right," the Aide said."

The aide walks over to a phone and picks it up.

"Report to Area 99 to dispatch the Beetle immediately," the Aide said."

(Scene Change: Forest Hill)

Rouge and Nails are hovering in midair in a relaxed position.

"You two ready?" Topaz said."

"Yup," Nails said."

"Sure," Rouge replied."

She notices something in the distance.

"Oh... Hold on...," Rouge said."

That "something", or rather, "somethings" is Chris, Hope, Julie-su, Payback, and Knuckles returning to the Egg Fort II with the fake Chaos Emeralds.

"Why are they here?" Topaz asked."

The three glances at each other.

(Scene Change: Landfill)

Lucky is walking along the piles of trash when it stumbles over a can and falls to the bottom of the pile. It lands on a box, which opens, revealing the seventh Chaos Emerald.

(Scene Change: The Egg Fort II)

Knuckles, Julie-su, Payback, Hope, and Chris arrive. Eggman's chair descends from above and slides on a track to a table between him and the others.

"Ah, my new friends and niece. Welcome," Eggman said."

"We brought them," Knuckles said."

Chris places his backpack on the table.

"Let me see," Eggman said."

Chris unzips the backpack, revealing four Chaos Emeralds.

"Oh, my. Aren't they lovely! And I have my Chaos Emerald right here," Eggman said."

He places a small box on the table.

"I could open the box and show it to you, but it's not safe to expose it to the others," Eggman said."

"Not yet," Knuckles said."

(Scene Change: The Egg Fort II)

Eggman holds the box and Chris' backpack containing the Chaos Emeralds.

"I'll hold onto the Emeralds and put them in a safe place," Eggman said."

Chris opens his mouth to protest.

Knuckles: Okay, Doc," Knuckles said."

Just then Snively appears on the video screen.

"Excuse me, Doctor? There is an urgent call from Lucky," Snively said."

The screen switches to Lucky, who communicates to Eggman by beeping.

"Whaaat?! You discovered the last Chaos Emerald in a pile of garbage?! Well done! Stay where you are; I'll come to you!" Eggman said."

Chris, Hope, and the Mobians exchange thumbs-ups.

"Dr. Eggman, did he really find it?" Chris asked."

"Of course he did! Building a robot that brings good luck was my most brilliant stroke of genius!" Eggman replied."

'I'm surprise that he didn't make a robot that brings bad luck,' Hope thought.'

"Does this mean we are out of a job?" Bocoe asked."

Decoe: (Shakes head)" No such luck," Decoe replied."

"Might as well look up some resumes," Grounder said pulling out a newspaper."

"Well, we have them all, don't we!" Eggman said."

"That's great!" Chris said."

"Yeah, now we can finally go home!" Knuckles said."

"Haah... Oh-kaay," Eggman said."

"Hahahaha!" Eggette laughs."

She presses a button, and the Mobians falls through a trap door.

"Aah! What do you think you're doing, Eggman?" Chris asked."

Eggman belts out a laugh, then stands up close to Chris and Hope.

Dr. Eggman: "Wise up. You didn't really believe that I was homesick like your loser friends, did you? The only thing I care about is establishing the Eggman Empire. I can do that on my planet, or yours. It makes no difference to me," Eggman replied." though, credit where its due, you did make some very convincing counterfeits."

"I knew you were up to something!" Hope said."

"And yet you played along regardless. I'll grant your plan was clever, but the egg fort 2 was been equipped with a device that can instantly teleport real chaos emeralds to it from anywhere in a one-mile radius. Eggette built and used it while you were making your way here!" Eggman said."

"Not good!" Chris said."

"You have Knuckles' real emerald?!" Hope asked."

"Right! now, to get the four real ones Sonic has!" Eggman replied."

"What've we done?" Chris asked."

"Heheheh... Ready the Egg Fort II for takeoff!" Eggman said."

"Aye-aye!" the robots said."

(Scene Change: Forest Hill)

The Egg Fort II's engines roar to life, then the craft begins to lift off the ground. Rouge, Nails, Westwood, and Topaz are buffeted by the winds the craft generates.

"He's leaving," Rouge said."

Topaz: (On radio)" HQ, come in! Emergency," Topaz said."

A secret hatch on the craft opens and Knuckles, Julie-su, and Payback falls out.

"Eggman!" Knuckles yelled."

"Knuckles, I got bad news," Julie-su said."

"Aside from being double-crossed anyway?" Knuckles asked."

"Yes, my cybernetic dreadlock picked up on him gloating to Chris and Hope. he was on to us from the start!" Julie-su replied."

"This is bad," Knuckles said."

"And he's got a device that can instantly summon the real chaos emeralds anywhere in a one-mile radius!" Julie-su said."

"That's worse!" Knuckles said."

He checks and realizes the red emerald is gone.

"Even worse, it works!" Knuckles said."

"Great, Eggman's kid thought ahead of us," Payback said."

Sonic, Sonia, Manic, Nicky, and Sally arrive.

"What happened?" Sonic asked."

"Eggman knew our plan from the start and has a device that can teleport the emeralds to him!" Knuckles replied."

"That creep!" Manic said."

"Not really surprising. (realizes something): wait, where's Chris and Hope?" Sonia asked."

"Still on the Ship," Julie-su replied."

"And we got to save them," Payback said."

"Knowing Snively, he'll protect Hope, but with Chris he won't," Nicky said."

"Sal, sibs, cuz, let's go get Chris and Hope back!" Sonic said."

"Yeah!" Sally, Sonia, Manic, and Nicky said."

"I want to help too!" Julie-su said."

"Count me in," Payback said."

"Ok then," Sally said."

She and the royal hedgehogs dash off.

The Egg Fort II takes off.

"Good luck, guys!" Knuckles said."

Narrator: "Will Sonic, Sally, Sonia, Manic, and Nicky stop Eggman in time to save his friends? Find out, next time!" the Narrator said."
