Her dreams were crushed though when she was told she was quirkless, but an unexpected meeting with a special friend gave her back her dream. Chapter 4: The USJ Crisis

After Izumi's match, All Might drew two balls to choose the next teams.

"And the next two teams to fight, are these guys!"

All Might had drawn the team of Bakugo and Iida versus the team of Uraraka and Yaoyorozu.

"Okay, so Bakugo and Iida will be the villains, and Uraraka and Yaoyorozu will be the heroes. The same rules apply, the villains have ten minutes to prepare and the heroes have fifteen minutes to apprehend them or the bomb. Understood?"

The students all nodded.

"Good. Now villain team enter!"

Bakugo and Iida went inside to find the bomb. Meanwhile, everyone else was watching from the observation room. While Izumi was watching Asui approached her.

"Hello."

"Huh? Oh, hi there."

"I'm Tsuyu Asui, but my friends call me Tsu."

"Izumi Midoriya. Nice to meet you Asui."

"Please, call me Tsu."

"Right."

"So Midoriya, I just wanted to say that you have an amazing quirk."

"Yeah, how did you do that? One moment you were a ninja and the next a cowgirl. And what about that red outfit from yesterday? Girl, just how many outfits do you have?"

Mina asked, joining the conversation.

"Oh well, counting the new ones I made, twelve."

"Wow. So what is your quirk exactly?"

Asui asked.

"It's called 'ShowTime' and it gives me new powers based on the outfit I'm wearing."

"Whoa. Wait, so if you wear an All Might outfit would you be as strong as him!?"

Hagakure asked.

"No, it doesn't work like that. You see, for me to get the powers, I have to know how to play the part. If I wanted to be All Might, I would have to know everything about him. EVERYTHING."

Izumi emphasized. Everyone nodded in understanding.

"But with generic outfits, such as a cowgirl or a ninja, I just have to have an idea about what they do to play the part. So it only works on outfits that don't have to be so specific."

"Ah, that makes sense. Still, that's a very powerful quirk. Since you can change between outfits at will you'll never be at a disadvantage."

Asui commented.

"Whoa, Bakugo just beat Uraraka and Yaoyorozu by himself!"

Kirishima said aloud. Everyone turned to the screen to see Bakugo standing over the knocked-out duo.

Fifteen minutes earlier

Bakugo and Iida went inside the building and found the bomb on the fourth floor.

"So here's the bomb. Fake, obviously."

Iida said after examining the bomb. Bakugo was watching the door with his arms crossed.

"So, what's the plan Bakugo?"

"Simple, you stay here and guard the bomb, and I'll go and take care of round face and ponytail."

"Not much of a plan."

"What are you talking about glasses? It's perfect. I'll take the fight to those two extras and kill them before they even make it up here. But just in case one of them slips by, you'll be able to protect the bomb with your speed. We'll win this thing in no time."

"Hmm, that's as good a plan as any. Alright then, let's do this!"

"Hero team, enter!"

All Might said over the intercom. Bakugo heard this and ran out the door to face Uraraka and Yaoyorozu. The hero team had managed to get into the building through a window on the second floor.

"Okay, we're in."

"Good, now we need to locate the bomb. If the blueprints are correct, they should be on either the third or the fourth floor since they have rooms large enough to hold the bomb."

Uraraka and Yaoyorozu continued through the hallway. They were about to turn a corner when.

"Found you!"

Bakugo flew around the corner and let loose an explosion at the girls. Yaoyorozu reacted quickly and created a shield to block the attack. While it blocked the brunt of the explosion, the force of the attack knocked Yaoyorozu down.

"Yaomomo!"

"I'm fine Uraraka. Just get to the bomb!"

Uraraka was about to run up the stairs, but Bakugo was already upon her.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Get down Uraraka!"

Yaoyorozu created some flashbangs and threw them at Bakugo. They exploded right in front of him while Uraraka and Yaoyorozu took cover.

"That should give us some time to escape. Now..."

"Those were weak ass explosions."

Bakugo was in front of the two girls, unimpeded by the flashbangs. The two girls looked at him in shock and fear as he cupped his hands together.

"Let me show you how it's done. STUN GRENADE!"

Bakugo created a bright flash in the palm of his hands that dwarfed Yaoyorozu's flashbangs.

"My eyes!"

"I can't see!"

Uraraka and Yaoyorozu were stunned by this attack. Bakugo took advantage of this and grabbed Yaoyorozu's arm. He began to spin around, using one hand to speed up his rotations, and threw her at Uraraka. Yaoyorozu slammed into Uraraka and the two flew into the wall.

"Time to end this. DIE!"

Bakugo unleashed one final explosion at the two. The two girls were on the ground, unable to continue the fight.

"The villain team wins!"

Bakugo raised his arm in victory while Iida was dumbfounded by how fast Bakugo had defeated the two.

Present time

Most of the students were shocked by Bakugo's performance.

"Holy crap dude. That was brutal."

Kirishima said in astonishment.

"His combat prowess truly shined in this exercise. A terrifying beast to face."

Fumikage commented with Shoji nodding in agreement.

"Glad I didn't face him. I feel bad for Uraraka and Yaomomo though."

"They tried their best Mina. It's just bad luck they had Bakugo as an opponent."

Asui said. Soon both teams made it back with Uraraka, Yaoyorozu, and Iida looking disheartened.

"Now that we're all here, the MVP of the exercise is young Bakugo!"

Everyone agreed after seeing Bakugo's skill.

"Young Uraraka, Young Yaoyorozu, do you two need to see the nurse?"

The two shook their heads.

"I'm bruised, but fine."

"Same here. I think Bakugo was holding back with us."

Yaoyorozu and Uraraka said. The others didn't know how to feel about this. On one hand, they weren't seriously hurt. On the other hand, it could be seen that Bakugo didn't consider either of them a real threat. Izumi saw how down they were and was about to try and cheer them up, but Bakugo spoke up.

"Quit sulking you two! I held back so I didn't actually kill you, but I still treated this as a real exercise and treated you both as real threats. That's why I ended the fight so quickly."

This made the girls feel a little better that Bakugo took them seriously. All Might was happy to see his students' spirits rise and continued with the exercise. They had to move to another building as this one had sustained damage from the explosions. As the group moved on, Izumi noticed Iida was still down and decided to talk to him.

"Hey, Iida."

"Hmm, oh, yes Midoriya?"

"I was just wondering why you look so down."

"Oh, it's just, I didn't do anything in the combat exercise. Bakugo had already finished the fight before I had a chance to participate. It makes me feel so, useless."

"I can see where you're coming from, but don't let it get you down. There will be other chances to show your skills. Just keep a stiff upper lip and be ready for when it's your time to shine."

"You're right. Thanks for the talk Midoriya."

Izumi was glad that she managed to cheer her friend up. The group had arrived at the building and the next fight ended even faster than Bakugo's fight. It was Todoroki and Shoji as the heroes versus Ojiro and Hagakure as the villains. When the match started, Shoji used his quirk, Dupli-Arms, to create extra ears so he could locate the villains. After telling Todoroki their location, he told Shoji to get out of the building so he could end the fight. He froze the whole building with his quirk and ended the fight within five minutes.

"Are you kidding me!? Another powerhouse?"

Kaminari said.

"I guess we know who the three strongest students in class are now."

Sero said with everyone turning to Izumi and Bakugo. The rest of the fights were uneventful and soon the class was over.

"Great work everyone, you've all gone Plus Ultra today. And for those of you who were defeated, do not let your failures drag you down. Instead, use them to build yourself up into better heroes. Now watch as,"

"Hold on!"

Izumi said getting everyone's attention. They all turned to her and were shocked at what they saw. She was in her Patisserie outfit and had a bunch of cookies with her.

"I made these for everyone as a reward for all their hard work. There's one for everyone."

Everyone took a cookie, which was about the size of a small plate, and ate up. Everyone's eyes widened as they ate the cookie.

"Holy crap! This is delicious!"

"I agree. This would be great with tea."

Kaminari and Yaoyorozu said in delight.

"When did you have time to make these?"

Sero asked. Izumi just giggled which confused Sero.

"Right now."

"What!?"

Everyone, except Bakugo and Aoyama, a boy who shoots lasers out of his belly button and who Izumi saved at the practical, said in surprise.

"Is that the power of your costume?"

"That's right Tsu. Plus, my cookies have rejuvenating and healing properties. Now everyone should be re-energized for the day."

Izumi explained.

"She's right. I feel as good as new."

Kirishima said while pumping his fist. Even All Might was impressed as he ate his cookie.

"Excellent cookies Midoriya. And an excellent showing of the kindness a hero should have to their fellows. Make sure to show your gratitude students."

"Thank you Midoriya!"

The class said. Izumi smiled and gave a bow before transforming back to her normal form.

"Now then, as I was saying. Watch how a hero exits, LIKE HE HAS SOMEWHERE TO BE!"

All Might said as he ran towards the school.

"Whoa, look at him go!"

"Just like a true hero. How manly!"

Ojiro and Kirishima said. Back with All Might, he had made it to the teacher's lounge and shrunk into his skinny form. But he didn't cough up blood this time.

"Amazing, that cookie seems to have relieved some of my conditions, if only temporarily. Her power is truly amazing."

The next day

The class was going to school but found the entrance blocked by reporters. As soon as the reporters saw the students, they rushed them.

"Excuse me, can you tell me about your school life?"

"How does All Might teach?"

"Has he shared any secrets with you yet?"

Everyone was trying to get past the reporters as they crowded them. Izumi was about to get away from them when a reporter with long, purple bluish, curly hair approached her.

"Hello, Vio Liettie with Vine-Fruit news. Can I ask you a few questions miss?"

"I'm sorry, but I'm going to be late for class."

"I promise it'll be quick. First question, do you think it's a good thing All Might is teaching now?"

"Huh? Of course! I can think of no better teacher than the number one hero."

"Even if he brings danger to you and your classmates?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"Well, it's just my opinion, but I think him being here puts you and the rest of the student body in danger."

"That's not true! Why would you say that?"

"Just look at All Might's agency, All Might Tower. It has security on par with both U.A. and Tartarus prison, but it's been broken into fifty times this past couple of months alone. And all the villains captured had the same reasons for breaking in, to attack All Might. With that information, it makes sense that they would shift their focus to U.A. now that he's a teacher here. How do you feel about U.A. putting you and your fellow students in danger by hiring All Might?"

Izumi was getting frustrated by this reporter's biased questions. She was about to tell her off when Aizawa came out.

"Don't say anything you'll regret Midoriya. The press loves to twist the words of heroes to fit their narrative. It's best to ignore them for now and just get to class. And you, can you stop bothering my students already?"

"Ah, Erasure Head, pro hero and teacher. Maybe you can answer my questions instead. Tell me, do agree with U.A.'s horrible decision to let All Might teach at U.A.?"

"There have been no incidents at U.A. since All Might started teaching here. So that claim is baseless."

"Then you think it's a good idea to let All Might teach here?"

"Whether I think it's a good decision or not doesn't matter. What matters is the results and so far All Might has proven to be beneficial to U.A.. Now, please stop bothering our students with pointless questions. Bye."

Aizawa went back in once all his students were inside. One reporter tried to follow him, but the U.A. security system activated and kept her out. Soon she riled up the rest of the reporters into a chanting frenzy while Vio Liettie left with her crew. All the while having a sinister smile on her face. She then glanced over to someone in a nearby alley and nodded to him. He walked up to the entrance of U.A. while the other reporters were distracted.

Back in class 1-A, everyone was talking about the reporters interviewing them. Some thought it was cool and that they were celebrities, others were annoyed by the pushiness of the press, and some didn't care either way. But Izumi was still thinking about what that reporter said.

"No, she's wrong. All Might wouldn't put us in danger, he protects people. But still, what she said wasn't false. Many villains broke into his agency just to get a shot at killing him. Does that mean they'll come here now that he's a teacher?"

"Hey, Izumi. Hey. IZUMI!"

Stella yelled to get Izumi's attention.

"Huh!? Oh, what's up, Stella?"

"Are you still thinking about what that reporter said? Forget about her. Aizawa was right, the press just likes to stir up trouble so they could get ratings. They'll gladly twist the truth if it means people will watch their show. Don't pay what she said any mind."

Izumi breathed a sigh of relief at hearing this.

"You're right Stella. Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

"All right, settle down!"

Aizawa said as he entered the classroom. All the students were already seated and quiet.

"Good, you're learning not to waste time. I watched a recording of the fights yesterday. Yaoyorozu, you're smart, but villains won't always give you time to think of a plan. You need to be able to think on your feet."

"Yes, sir."

"Uraraka, you need to work on your combat abilities. I know you want to be a rescue hero, but you need to be able to defend yourself if you want to save others."

"Yes, sir."

"Bakugo, you have a strong quirk and great combat skills, but don't think that'll be able to win you every battle. You need to be ready in case you face a threat you can't brute force your way through."

Bakugo just grunted at this.

"Iida, just because you didn't do anything doesn't mean you can sulk. Keep up your training and be ready, you'll get your chance soon enough."

"Yes, sir!"

"Todoroki, you have a strong quirk and you know how to use it, but that doesn't mean you have to do things alone. Remember, you have allies to rely on."

Todoroki just looked away at hearing this.

"Shoji, just because you have a strong ally doesn't mean you can't do anything to help. There is always a way to aid your partner, no matter how strong they are."

"Yes, sir."

"Midoriya, you showed great skills and planning yesterday. Keep it up, but don't become too reliant on your quirk. Remember to always have a plan in case things go south."

"Yes, sir!"

"Kaminari, Jiro, you let yourselves be distracted by Mineta's 'incident' and let your guards down. If that was a real combat situation, you would both be dead. Always be on alert."

"Yes, sir."
"Yes, sir."

"And Mineta. Come and see me after school today. We need to discuss your actions during yesterday's combat exercise."

"Y-Y-Yes, sir."

Mineta said in fear, already knowing what the discussion was going to be about.

"Now then, there's something important you need to do."

The class went stiff, worried that it was another quirk evaluation test.

"You need to pick a class representative."

"That's normal school stuff!"

Mina cheered. Aizawa glared at her, prompting her to sit and behave.

"Hurry up and decide. We don't have much time to waste on this."

Aizawa went inside his sleeping bag and took a nap. Everyone began to shoot ideas on how to pick a class representative. In the end, they went with Iida's plan to vote with the condition that you couldn't vote for yourself. Everyone cast their vote and Izumi won with Yaoyorozu coming in second.

"Well, that was quick. Alright, Midoriya you're the class representative, and Yaoyorozu you're the vice representative. Now get up here and address the class."

Izumi and Yaoyorozu went to the front to speak to everyone.

"Thank you for choosing me, everyone. I will do my best to meet your expectations. Now let us meet the day head-on with no fear."

Everyone nodded and the day proceeded as normal. Soon the class was in the cafeteria eating lunch. Izumi sat down with Asui, Yaoyorozu, Iida, and Uraraka to eat when Asui spoke up.

"Hey, Midoriya, your speech was good. Have you done this before?"

"No, Tsu. But because of my quirk, ShowTime, I've gotten used to performing in front of a crowd. I used to ice skate to an audience when I was younger."

"Wow, that's so cool Midoriya!"

Uraraka said with the others nodding. They continued eating when the alarms went off. These alarms signified that an intruder had entered the school and caused the student body to panic. Everyone was trying to get out, but the hallways quickly became packed. Causing Izumi and her friends to be crushed. While trying to escape, Izumi saw what caused the alarms to go off. The press had somehow gotten past the security gate and onto school grounds and were at the main doors trying to get into the building.

"Stella!"

"Right!"

Izumi transformed into her sword fighter outfit.

"Iida, Uraraka, I need a boost."

The two looked at Izumi in confusion but then understood what she was going to do. Uraraka managed to free herself and make Izumi and Iida weightless. Izumi then grabbed onto Iida, who used his quirk to reach the top of the hallway. Izumi stabbed her sword into the wall so she and Iida had a good grip.

"All right now that's enough!"

She yelled getting everyone's attention.

"Just look outside, it's only the press! There's no need to panic. Now calm down and stop making things worse! Panicking like this only causes trouble for both you and your fellow students."

Izumi said with authority. Everyone calmed down and began to walk out calmly. The police soon arrived and escorted the press off of U.A. grounds. Everyone in class 1-A was impressed by Izumi's actions and was even more confident that she could do the job.

The next day

A villain was attacking a mother and her child downtown when.

"California slap!"

All Might arrived just in time and beat the villain with one slap.

"Oh, thank you, All Might!"

"No need for thanks, citizen. Just doing my job. The police will be here soon to apprehend the villain. Now I must be off. Farewell!"

All Might leaped away to get to U.A. in time.

"Damn! I'm going to be late for work! But I can't just ignore a cry for help."

"Help! It's a hit and run!"

A woman screamed.

"A hero's job is never done."

All Might turned to catch the perpetrator. Meanwhile, with class 1-A, everyone was outside in their hero outfits waiting to board the bus. Today's activity was rescue training and they would be going to one of U.A.'s special facilities for this lesson.

"Midoriya, I have made a chart for the bus and I think it would be most helpful to you."

Iida said as he handed Izumi his seating plans.

"Thanks, Iida, but I don't think this will be needed. The bus layout is different than the one you planned for."

Iida ran up to the bus to check, and Izumi was right.

"I see. I'm sorry for wasting your time."

Iida said as he sulked off.

"He needs to learn to relax."

"Yeah."

Izumi and Uraraka said. Everyone boarded the bus and was chatting as they traveled to their destination.

"Everyone, behave! We need to act like proper U.A. students!"

"Chill out Iida. You're not even the class rep."

Sero said causing Iida to bite his lip in frustration.

"I know, but."

"Iida, you need to chill, yo."

Mina added.

"If we're pointing out the obvious, then I have a question for you Midoriya."

"Sure, what is it Tsu?"

"Well, two questions actually. First, is it okay if I call you Izu like Bakugo does?"

"Yeah, that's fine."

"Thanks. And second, it's about one of your costumes, the red one specifically. Isn't its strength a lot like All Might's?"

Everyone else was also curious about this and listened to Izumi's answer.

"I guess so. It was based on superheroes and is called 'Mighty Izumi', so it would make sense it would be similar to All Might since I look up to him."

"Amazing."

"That's so cool Midoriya! You're definitely going to be popular with a flashy quirk like that. Unlike me, all my quirk does is harden my skin. Not flashy at all."

Kirishima said while demonstrating his quirk.

"That's not true Kirishima. I think you have an amazing quirk."

Thanks, Midoriya!"

"If we're talking about popularity, then Bakugo is going to have a hard time. His personality isn't very heroic."

"Huh? What was that frog face? I'll kill you!"

Bakugo said as he stood up.

"See what I mean?"

"You know, we've only known you for a few days, but it's very telling that we could figure out your personality is flaming hot garbage."

"What!? I'll kill you too sparky!"

Bakugo yelled at Kaminari.

"Come on guys, he's not that bad. True, he can come off as rude and egotistic, but I don't know anyone else who works as hard as him. He truly puts in the effort to be a hero. I wouldn't be half as strong as I am without Kacchan's help."

Izumi said. Everyone was surprised at her defense of Bakugo's character.

"Still, we do need to work on how you approach people in need of rescue Kacchan."

"What do you mean Izu?"

"Here's a hypothetical. Say a lost child is crying because he can't find his parents. What do you do to calm him down?"

"I'd tell him to suck it up and describe his parents so we could find them already."

Everyone just sweatdropped at Bakugo's answer.

"Yep, we need to work on that Kacchan."

"Tch, sure, whatever Izu."

Bakugo said as he sat down. Mina watched the situation and noticed something between the two.

"Hey, isn't it weird how Bakugo always calms down when talking to Izu? Oh! Is there love in the air? Are you two dating?"

"What!? No, it's nothing like that. We're just good friends. We've known each other since kindergarten."

"Oh! A childhood romance? How sweet!"

"MINA!"

Izumi was trying to wave off Mina's assumptions. Meanwhile, Todoroki took note of the relationship between Bakugo and Izumi. Soon the bus arrived and the students entered the building. They were all stunned by what they saw. It looked like a theme park, but instead of rides, there were simulated disaster zones.

"So cool."

Rikido Sato, a teen whose strength increases when he eats sugar, said in awe.

"Oh my gosh! Look, it's the rescue hero Thirteen!"

Uraraka said pointing to a hero wearing a space suit nearby.

"Hello, students!"

She greeted. Aizawa then turned to address his class.

"Alright class, today we will be focusing on rescue simulations. Me, Thirteen, and, wait a minute. Thirteen, where's All Might?"

"About that."

Thirteen used hand signals to explain that All Might had used up all his buff time today. Izumi saw this and was able to piece together what had happened. Aizawa let out an exasperated sigh and turned to the class.

"Okay, so All Might was supposed to be here as well, but he's preoccupied at the moment."

"Oh, man."

"Bummer."

The class began to groan at this, but Aizawa got them back at attention with a glare.

"However! We will continue with rescue exercises today. Thirteen, if you would."

"Right. Okay students, so as some of you may know, I am the rescue hero Thirteen, and my quirk is 'black hole'. I use this power to get rid of debris and save lives. But this power could easily be used to kill. On the first day of school, you did a quirk evaluation test to see how far you could push your quirks. And then you conducted battle exercises to see how dangerous they are to your fellow students. I designed this area to simulate different types of disasters to prepare you for rescue situations. I call it, The Unforeseen Simulation Joint. But you could call it the USJ!"

Everyone clapped at her speech.

"Good, now let's start with, hmm?"

Aizawa was about to start the class, but something was wrong. The lights began to flicker, then suddenly, a purple vortex appeared in the center of the facility. Villains began to pour out with more vortexes appearing throughout the USJ.

"Hey, what's going on? Is this part of the,"

"Stay back!"

Aizawa yelled, interrupting Kaminari.

"This isn't an exercise. Those are real villains."

"What!? Real villains! How'd they get here?"

"And why aren't the alarms activating?"

Mineta and Yaoyorozu asked.

"Good questions. Thirteen, can you get in touch with the school?"

"Negative, there must be someone who is jamming our signals Aizawa."

Aizawa grunted and turned back to the villains. He prepared himself for what he had to do.

"Alright. Thirteen, get the students out of here and alert the school. I'll hold them off."

"But Aizawa, sir. You specialize in surprise attacks and one-on-one battles. Your quirk isn't suited for drawn-out battles against a large group."

Izumi said in concern, but Aizawa just smirked at this.

"Thanks for the concern Midoriya, but you don't become a pro by being a one-trick pony. Now get out of here!"

Aizawa put his goggles on and jumped towards the villains. Some with long-range quirks tried to attack him, but he had disabled their quirks already. Meanwhile, the last of the villains had come out of the portals. A grey-haired teen with hands covering his body came out with a large and buff bird person with an exposed brain standing next to him. The vortex shrunk and took on a humanoid form. It then floated down next to the teen with hands.

"Hey, where's All Might? The schedule we stole said he would be here."

The teen said.

"Perhaps there was a last-minute change in the schedule?"

The vortex villain answered.

"Aw, and after I went through the trouble of finding all these playmates who are dying to meet him. Oh well. Maybe he'll show up if we kill a few kids."

The teen said. He then noticed Aizawa taking out his goons with no trouble.

"Man, the most irritating thing about pros is when they live up to their hype. Kurogiri, stop those kids from escaping."

The teen ordered.

"And what will you do Tomura?"

"Watch for my opening."

Tomura answered. Kurogiri nodded and left to stop Thirteen and Class 1-A from escaping. They were about to reach the doors when Kurogiri appeared in front of them.

"Good day, children. Tell me, why isn't All Might here? The schedule we procured stated he would be teaching this class."

"How would you have gotten a schedule? Unless, that incident with the press yesterday, that was your doing!"

Izumi exclaimed.

"Correct young lady. We have gone through extensive lengths to carry out our plan. And isn't it fitting that the symbol of peace would take his final breath in this hallowed hall of justice?"

"You think you can kill All Might? Don't make me laugh!"

"We're taking you down!"

Bakugo and Kirishima yelled as they charged toward Kurogiri.

"Wait you two!"

Thirteen tried to stop them, but it was too late as their attacks landed. It appeared that Kurogiri was down, but his misty body reformed.

"Hmm, you truly live up to your school's reputation. How about I spread you out to meet my compatriots?"

Kurogiri spreads the dark mist, engulfing all of Class 1-A. Shoji, Iida, and Sato tried to protect their classmates, but most of the class was gone when Kurogiri's mist dissipated.

"No, what did you do you fiend?"

Iida asked.

"Exactly what I said I would do. I sent your friends around the facility. Tell me, young hero, how long do you think they will last against my compatriots?"

"No, you villain!"

Thirteen and the rest of the class got ready to fight Kurogiri. Meanwhile, Mineta found himself falling into the water zone. He panicked and was struggling to swim up when Asui came by and grabbed him. They were swimming to the surface of the water when a villain with a shark mutation quirk showed up.

"First catch of the day. Sorry kids, but you have to die!"

The shark villain shouted as he charged toward Asui and Mineta with his teeth bared. Asui was about to evade when she heard something. It was a song. Someone was singing in the water. Even the shark villain heard it and stopped his attack.

"Where the hell is that singing coming from? It's, it's, it's beautiful!"

The shark villain appeared to be placated by the singing. Many other villains who had mutation quirks also appeared to be affected, and that's when Asui and Mineta saw it. It was Izumi! She was in her mermaid form and controlling the villains with her singing.

"What the hell? Stupid bitch! Die!"

A villain without a mutation quirk said as he aimed his harpoon gun at Izumi. He was about to pull the trigger when.

"Don't harm our princess!"

The shark villain from before attacked the one with the harpoon and defended Izumi.

"What the hell!? You're supposed to be on our side!"

All the villains affected by Izumi's singing began to attack the other villains. Asui took advantage of this and swam to the surface so Mineta could breathe.

"Holy crap! I thought I was going to die!"

Mineta said as he took in lungfuls of air.

"Still, it wouldn't have been so bad after seeing Izumi as a mermaid. She was so beautiful. I thought I was going to die in awe of her looks."

Asui just rolled her eyes at Mineta's comment. She then noticed the mutant villains dragging the defeated villains onto the shore. Izumi came up and was still singing. She pointed to the villains and Mineta, she also pointed at her head.

"Ribbit? Oh, I think she wants you to use her quirk to trap them."

"Huh? Oh! That's a good idea!"

Asui brought Mineta closer and he threw his balls to trap all the villains. Izumi stopped singing and the mutant villains began to regain their senses.

"Huh? What, what happened? What!? What the hell happened!?"

The shark villain yelled as he saw that he was stuck with the other villains and to the floor by Mineta's balls. The villains were struggling to escape as Asui and Mineta joined Izumi.

"That was amazing Izu!"

"Yeah, how'd you do that?"

Asui and Mineta asked.

"It's the power of this costume, Mermaid Izumi. I can control sea life with my singing. I'm glad it also works on villains with mutant-type quirks. I wasn't sure it would, but I'm glad I was correct in my assumptions."

Izumi explained.

"What would you have done if it didn't work? Ribbit."

"Oh, well this costume has a combat form as well Tsu. I was ready to change into it if I was wrong."

"That's good."

"Well, can we get going already? We're in trouble if we stay out here."

Mineta pointed out.

"Hold up, I want to see how Aizawa is doing. That bird guy from earlier looked especially dangerous. And what that mist villain said before has me worried."

"You mean when he said they were going to kill All Might?"

"Yeah, Tsu. They wouldn't break in unless they had a surefire way to do that. I believe that bird villain is their ace in the hole."

"That's bad. Aizawa is facing all the villains alone and he will be in trouble if he fights the villain strong enough to kill All Might."

"Yeah, so let's see how he's doing."

"And then what? You're not seriously considering fighting a villain strong enough to kill All Might!"

Mineta said in fear.

"We have to do something, Mineta. We're training to be heroes after all. I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror if I turned tail now."

Izumi said as she swam towards the shore. Mineta was frustrated by her stubbornness while Asui was impressed.

"Oh, all right already! Let's go!"

Mineta resigned himself to go with the two. Meanwhile, Bakugo and Kirishima were in the collapsed building zone and had just finished off the villains attacking them.

"All right! Now we need to help our friends."

"Forget that weird hair! I'm going after the main boss!"

"But what about our friends, Bakugo? We can't just abandon them."

"Like I give a crap!"

A chameleon villain attacked Bakugo while he and Kirishima were arguing. But Bakugo's reflexes were too good and he caught and defeated the villain in one move.

"Besides, if the villains are as weak as this loser, then there's no way they'd be defeated."

"Oh, I get it now! You have total faith in our friends!"

"That's not it at all dumbass! Now let's go!"

Bakugo turned to leave with Kirishima following him.

"You better be okay Izu."

Bakugo thought as he descended the stairs.
