AN: Phew, been busy these past few days. But at least I got this thing out.
Tipping point
"Another day," Nora said, stretching her arms wide.
"Another adventure," Electra finished, doing the same.
"What's on the agenda today?" Ruby asked Jaune who was reading the map, seeing as he seemed to understand it the best.
"Walking," Jaune said, trying to sound enthusiastic.
"With a side of…" Nora said, letting the sentence hang.
"Walking," Ren finished with a dead pan tone. It had been many days since the gang had moved out of Shion village. They had passed the town of Higanbana on the way and were once again walking to the direction of Mistral and by extension, Haven.
"How far away is Haven, exactly?" Rex asked from the side. He, Pyra, Roc and Azurda had decided to go with them, seeing as their destination was practically the same.
"A lot farther than I thought," Ruby said with a small sigh.
"Ruby, how long did you think this trip would take," Roze chose to ask, being aware that they were probably nowhere near their destination yet.
"I don't know, I grew up in a small area. I've never been this far away from home," Ruby said with a complaint.
"Ruby estimated two weeks," Penny supplied (un)helpfully.
"What!?" Jaune exclaimed in disbelief at Ruby thinking that the trip would be that short.
"Penny! Okay, maybe three or something!" Ruby complained, before turning to Roze," How long did you think this journey would take?"
"Weeks, maybe months," Roze said without missing a beat.
"While the estimate is vague, it seems that Roze has a much more realistic idea than Ruby," Kos-Mos said in monotone, earning a small giggle from Otohime and Pyra. Though the latter looked guilty about it.
"You really haven't travelled much have you?" Rex said while shaking his head.
"Hey! Not all of us had lived on a small moving island," Ruby whined at Rex. The two groups had exchanged stories about each other's worlds. The five Remnans and even their Blades had a hard time believing Azurda used to be a titan large enough to have a house on his back where Rex used to live in.
"I would appreciate if you didn't use such a comparison, Ruby,"Azurda piped up from Rex's helmet.
Ruby decided to shut up with a pout.
"Ahh to be young," Azurda then commented before closing his eyes for a moment, "And while I'm still talking here, I might also inform you that there are no Grimm nearby."
"We appreciate the information, master Azurda," Joana said respectfully. Of course, the group were happy to hear that Azurda was practically a living Grimm radar. Which also explained everyone how that larger Titan was able to fly to Vale when it did. Although Azurda wasn't sure if there is a difference between how far away he can sense and how far away the Titan that fought at Beacon could. And when it was brought up why the Titan stayed in Beacon after the battle, Azurda theorized that it was recovering from the wounds the dragon Grimm must have inflicted on it.
"Friends, is that a town?" Penny then asked while pointing to a town in the distance.
"Weird," Jaune sounded out as he looked at the map, "I didn't think we'd hit another town yet."
Nora jumped on a large rock to get a better vantage point while Roc took to the skies.
"Are those buildings, damaged," Nora asked, seeing the state of the buildings behind a wall.
"Let's search for survivors," Jaune shouted before running into the town alongside everyone else. While Roc flew closer.
As everyone else searched the town for survivors Roc took a bird's eye view of the town, and what he realized would make him frown if he could. "Everyone! Stop wasting time, no one is here!" the birdlike Blade shouted as he lowered himself back down.
"How do you know that?" Jaune asked in a challenging tone.
"Take a closer look at these buildings," Roc said while pointing at the many buildings, "They aren't damaged, they're incomplete."
At this revelation everyone took a closer look.
"There is a pile of lumber ready to be used," Otohime pointed out to a nearby stack of planks.
"These walls are almost pristine," Roze added in, inspecting a wall with his Keen Eye.
"Why would someone start building a town and then just abandon it?" Rex asked in confusion.
"Guys! I found something!" Electra shouted out as she pointed to a post which was mostly covered by leafy growth. Everyone ran towards it.
Nora knelt down and moved some of the leaves out of the way, "Oniyuri?" That was what red on the sign.
"Maybe the name of this town?" Pyra said thoughtfully, "Do any of you know about it?" That last part was directed to Remnans.
"Never heard of it," Nora said.
"Me neither," Jaune added in.
"…I have," Ren said with his fists clenched, earning everyone's attention. Most notably, Otohime's. "You could think of it as…Anima's Mountain Glenn, had it never been finished," Ren started explaining. "Years ago, the richest members of Mistral were unhappy with how the Kingdom was being run. So, they pooled in their resources to build a city of their own, with its own laws. They hoped that one day, it would become its own Kingdom. Many thought it would be the future." At the last sentence, Ren walked away from everyone, "I know my parents did."
"What happened to this town to make everyone abandon it?" Rex asked.
Ren walked to a stone railing before wiping it. "What always happens." And revealed claw marks on it.
"Grimm," Roze commented while glancing at Ruby who looked saddened, but not enough to need aid. Something that made part of him proud.
"Not just anyone," Ren said as he clenched his fists tighter, earning a worried look from Otohime. The water Blade planned to ask her Driver about this the moment they find a relatively safe area.
"One?" Ruby couldn't help ask, wondering if she misheard it.
Pyra looked down in sorrow at this town. The comparison about the Grimm and Malos may have been more apt than they originally thought. Except Malos doesn't leave a trace of the towns or any other settlements he razed. Only the glassed craters that his Artifices left behind.
"Pyra?" Rex sounded out in worry, "Are you okay?"
"Yes…I'm fine," Pyra said, but no one was convinced.
"We should leave," Roc said as he spotted a flock of birds flying from the trees back where they came from. "I doubt this place is any safer now than it was back then," the avian bird added.
"Yeah, it gives me the creeps," Jaune agreed and they started walking through the town.
Although, Otohime matched her pace with Ren's, "Ren, my dear. I will not ask what is on your mind, but if you ever do need someone to talk to, know that I will be here for you." The water Blade had a kind smile on her beautiful face.
For some reason, it made Ren grimace before he turned away from his Blade. It was for an instant, but for a moment Otohime's visage was replaced by a dusky rose haired woman with pink eyes who had a similar smile once. "She's not her," Ren told himself in his mind.
Nora would have felt happy about Ren's reaction to Otohime's offer, if she wasn't concerned about what he was most likely thinking.
Meanwhile in Atlas, Weiss was singing in a large amphitheater filled with everyone attending the charity concert. If Weiss wasn't focused on her singing, she would be lamenting that Dahlia isn't here. Weiss' father put his foot down on this one.
I'm not your thing
not another thing you own
I was not born guilty of your crimes
Your riches and your influence can't hold me anymore
I won't be possessed burdened by your royal test.
I will not surrender, this life is mine
With that, finished, Weiss gave a small bow to the audience who clapped at her amazing performance. The white haired girl's eyes fell upon a balcony from where her father and Whitley were watching. The youngest Schnee clapping for his sister. But then Weiss' eyes fell on her father's Blade. The butler looking Blade seemed to be clapping much more enthusiastically than anyone else in the audience. And that smile of his looked much more genuine to the heiress. She had realized that the smile this Blade almost always held was the same smile that Weiss herself had held many times, a forced one, but not this time.
Later on, at the party that was held Weiss was listening with her mind wandering to what happened at Beacon. Again, Dahlia wasn't allowed anywhere near here. Actually, if it wasn't for Weiss, the ice Blade would have probably shoved her bitball right down Jacques' throat.
"That's precisely my point," Jacques then said to a man he was having a conversation with, "We give our faunus the same wages we give to the rest of our mining crew, so their argument's completely invalid right out of the gate." A half-truth, which Jacques' Blade knew all too well. The faunus worker's wages are minimal and they have no hope of getting a raise. And that's not even counting the working conditions for them. Sadly, the Blade also knew that voicing his opinions would be moot, after all as far as everyone in this room was concerned his opinion weighed less than a faunus'.
Weiss of course had tuned out the conversation, clearly not in the mood to be here. Much less with her father. Then her eyes fell on a large painting of Beacon's courtyard with Beacon Academy itself standing proud. The sight of the painting drew Weiss towards it, but she was stopped by her father's hand around her arm.
"Where are you going?" Jacques asked his daughter in a low tone.
"I'm…just a little thirsty," Weiss made up on the spot.
"Sweetheart we have people for that," Jacques said as he tried to wave a waiter over.
"No, no." Weiss said quickly pulling her father's arm back down, "I can get it. I'll be right back, I promise."
Jacques gave his daughter a hard look, before turning to his Blade, "Make sure she returns once she has a drink."
"Of course, master Schnee," the Blade answered with a smile before turning to his Driver's daughter, "Shall we?"
With a sigh, Weiss walked away as his father returned to the conversation he tuned out of. "I'm sorry, I tuned out for a second, but it sounds like I'm the good guy again." was the last thing either of them heard before moving out of hearing range.
With that, Weiss was able to look at the painting of Beacon and its courtyard.
"It's beautiful miss Schnee," Jacques' Blade commented on the painting.
"Yes." Weiss wasn't even fully listening.
"Does it do justice?"
"What?" Weiss asked, surprised by the question.
"The painting," the Blade clarified, "Does it do justice to the real sight?"
Weiss let out a sigh before giving her answer without much thought, "Not really."
"I see," the Blade said with almost a disappointed tone. "I consider myself an art lover." The man then said, starting to irritate Weiss a little. "Some paintings reveal the deepest darkness within a person's heart." At this part, Weiss gave a raised eyebrow at the Blade. "Others hope to capture the beauty of what they see. Sometimes they succeed, other times they are trying to grasp for a moon in a pond." Then the Blade turned his attention back to Weiss with a fond looking smile, "And sometimes…people express themselves through song. Just as you did, not only was your voice beautiful, but your words…I believe I may be the only one to truly understand them."
Weiss frowned at this... it was like this Blade was trying to get inside her head. But two can play that game, "What did you mean by grasping a moon in a pond?"
"I'm very glad you asked," the Blade sounded happy about the question, "The silver circle on the back of my coat against the dark blue, is a moon reflected on the surface of water. As you look into the water and see the moon that is normally so high in the sky right within the reach of your hand." During his explanation, the Blade moved his right hand forward as if trying to reach something. "But as your hand touches the water's surface..." The blue and white-haired Blade explained as he made a motion of grasping air, "...you realize that what you see is just an illusion. A lie that made you foolishly believe what you saw and took it at face value."
"…Are we still talking about art," Weiss asked, feeling a sense of dread as the Blade sounded like he was talking about…something else.
Before the Blade could answer another person sounded out, "It's a beautiful painting." Turning to her left, Weiss saw a dark blue haired boy with fancy clothing trying to look cool.
"It's lovely," Weiss answered curtly. Less than impressed at the boy's attempt at wooing.
"So…that was my attempt at breaking the ice," The boy admitted, "How am I doing so far?"
"You are leaving lot to be desired," Weiss replied with a sigh.
"And I believe you were interrupting me," Jacques' Blade chimed in with a pleasant smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Well, I've always appreciated honesty," The boy continued, ignoring Jacques' Blade, "Henry. Merigold." The boy, now named Henry offered his hand.
Weiss had the courtesy of turning her head towards the boy, "Weiss Schnee." And offered her own hand in a greeting.
"I know, I saw your performance," Henry said awkwardly, "You were great, and I'm not just saying that because you're pretty."
Jacques Blade rolled his eyes at this boy's pathetic excuse for sweet talking, "I believe miss Schnee would appreciate a more…intellectual person to talk to."
"You don't tell me what I want," Weiss said coldly to her father's Blade, which earned a victorious grin from Henry.
"Yeah, so beat it," the boy said, earning a frown from the Blade.
"I fear I cannot do that, even if I wanted to," Jacques' Blade replied, but otherwise kept quiet, seeing as his opinion wasn't wanted.
With the nuisance out of the way, Henry tried again, "So, you thinking about buying it?"
"Not really," Weiss said with a sigh. Maybe she should have accepted the Blade's help, at least he had more intelligent things to say.
"Yeah, kinda pricy for a painting," Henry said with a small smile.
"It's to raise money," Weiss said, reigning in her irritation.
"Oh, for what?" the boy asked, earning a baffled look from Weiss.
"For what!?" Weiss repeated in disbelief.
"To be honest, I only come to these things for food and drinks," Henry said as he picked a glass from a passing waiter, "So what is this, another one of those Mantle fundraisers?" the boy said in a tone that told Weiss that nothing was wrong with the world.
"Get out," Weiss said with barely suppressed fury.
"What?" Henry was confused.
"Leave, or I will have the security escort you out," Weiss spelled out with the iciest glare she had.
"Oh come on, what's the-Ow!" Henry yelped as Jacques' Blade grasped his shoulder hard.
"I believe miss Schnee just told you to leave," the Blade said pleasantly, but his smile didn't match with his tone.
"Whatever," Henry said walking away with a frown.
With that, Weiss was able to get into her thoughts to try and forget the incident. As for Jacques' Blade, he was relieved that nothing worse happened, but the night was still young and he knew anything could happen.
"Is it any surprise what happened to Vale?" A woman's voice asked, which Weiss heard and turned to search for whoever said that. The speaker turned out to be a blonde haired dolled up woman who looked all too happy for what she said, "It was a long time coming if you ask me." the woman's haughty tone irritated Weiss, before she felt her father's Blade's hand on her shoulder.
"Miss Schnee, I know I am asking much of you, but do not react," the Blade said, which earned him a frosty look from Weiss.
"What? You said the same thing last night." The woman said, apparently responding to her husband, "If they're so arrogant that they think they can get by without proper kingdom defenses, then I say good riddance." the woman said in amusement.
"SHUT UP!" Weiss cried out, ceasing all activity as she swatted the blue and white-haired man's hand away. "You don't have a clue! None of you do!" Weiss shouted out.
"Excuse me?" the woman asked like she didn't do anything wrong.
"You all are just standing here, talking about nothing!" Weiss shouted to the woman, with everyone at the party looking at her like she was weird. "Worrying about your hair, money, your stupid problems that don't mean a thing!"
At this moment Jacques had walked to Weiss and grabbed her by the wrist. "Weiss, that's enough! You're embarrassing the family!"
"No, you are by believing that your own daughter was unaffected by what happened at Beacon," Jacques' own Blade said in a calm tone, earning a look of fury from his Driver.
During his glaring, Jacques tightened his grip on Weiss' wrist. "Let GO!" With that shout, Weiss tore her arm out of her father's grip so hard that she fell over. Then one of her glyphs activated without her will. And out of it came a Boarbatusk, the one she had killed on her first day at Beacon.
"This is bad." Jacques' Blade thought, having heard of the Schnee semblance but this is the first time he saw it. And apparently out of Weiss' control, seeing as it charged at the offending woman.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry just leave me alone!" the woman cried out desperately as the summoned Grimm charged her, only to stop mid-jump when Jacques' Blade dashed in and stabbed a curved blue energy blade of what looked like a thinner version of a Chroma Katana into its stomach. The boar-like Grimm squealed before fading from existence as Jacques' Blade stood back up from the crouch he took to get the angle. To anyone who knew what to look, the Blade seemed to stand taller than usual. His agreeable demeanor changing to that of someone who commanded respect with their presence. "Arrest her!" the woman screamed at Ironwood standing some ways away with his gun partially drawn. "What are you waiting for she's insane! She should be locked up!" the woman cried out at Ironwood who took no action.
"She's the only one making sense around here," Ironwood said simply as he put his gun back.
"And you brought this on yourself," Jacques' Blade said in a cold tone, surprising everyone present.
"What!? She attacked me for no reason!" the woman cried out accusingly.
"No reason you say?" Jacques' Blade asked with a chuckle, "Let me put this in words your sheltered minds can comprehend." The Blade then said, addressing everyone in the room with a condescending tone, "Miss Schnee here fought at Beacon, no doubt witnessing innocent civilians, brave defenders, and perhaps even friends dying around her. And you treat it as a joke, something to laugh about casually. I wonder if you would use the same tone if the same happened to Atlas?" At the last part, the Blade had an almost sinister smile directed at the woman who was now clinging to her husband.
"Atlas' military is the strongest of all Kingdoms," Ironwood said as he walked to the Blade that questioned the Kingdom's might.
"The same military that was turned against you so easily," Jacques' Blade said with an almost pitying tone, "And you still believe yourself to be infallible? I wonder, who is it that Atlas needs protection from? Whoever turned your army against you? Or a mad general who is too arrogant to admit being wrong?" At the last part Ironwood pulled his gun out and pressed it against the Blade's forehead. Unfortunately, this made the entire room gasp in shock. "Is this your solution to everything?" Jacque's Blade then asked with a disappointed look. "You cling to the power you hold and dispose of anyone who questions your methods? I wonder…did Headmaster Ozpin truly die in battle? Or was he executed by a person he believed to be an ally?"
Ironwood looked enraged at the insinuation this Blade dared to spout, his finger squeezing the trigger ready to blast this thing's head off. But the general put his gun back into his pocket and walked out. "Thanks for the party, Jacques." Ironwood said with a glare at the flabbergasted man.
"Of all the times his programming glitched," Jacques growled inaudibly.
During this, Weiss had gotten back up, wondering what happened to her father's Blade to make such a 180 turn in demeanor. Until it clicked inside her head. His words about the moon in the pond. "Did I just get a glance at his true self?"
In Oniyuri, the five Remnantians and single Alrestian Drivers were walking through what looked like a plaza of sorts. Ren suddenly raised his palm, signaling the group to stop. Which made everyone go on guard. The huntsmen and huntresses drawing their weapons, their Blades following suit. Rex also drew the Aegis Sword, readying himself for battle.
"Gramps," Rex whispered.
"I don't sense any Grimm," Azurda said from the helmet.
"That only means that it's not a Grimm," Roc commented.
And then one of the buildings burst open letting out a crazy looking man in a brown trench coat. The crazy guy landed slightly behind the group before bringing out what looked like wristblades and started attacking. Starting with Ruby, the crazy man tried to slash at her face, but the girl brought up Crescent Rose to block it. Then the man had to move back away from Roze's scythe. Then the man back-flipped away as Otohime and Penny were firing their ether cannons at the crazy guy.
All the shots missed as the madman then dashed past Electra and Nora at Jaune who brought up his shield to block whatever the guy instead jumped on the shield and hung there as he gave a crazed look at Jaune, complete with a maniacal cackle.
"Get away from milord, scum!" Joana shouted as she swung her Catalyst Scimitar at the madman who jumped off the shield, causing Jaune to fall over.
Then the guy jumped into one of the buildings through a wall. When the dust that came from the destroyed wall settled down, the guy was doing a split to keep himself from falling. Then the crazy guy looked down on the heroes with a maniacal look.
"We're not looking for a fight!" Jaune shouted in hope that this could be talked out of.
"Who are you!?" Ren demanded too. Otohime and Penny kept their cannons trained on the guy. The others still had their weapons ready.
The crazy guy then jumped down before talking, "Who I am, doesn't matter to you." The guy pointed at Ren as he said that. "Or you. Or you." The other two were directed at Nora and Penny respectfully. "Or…" the guy paused at Jaune, "Well, you do interest me a little."
"You stay away from milord, you wretched piece of trash!" Joana threatened.
The threat only made the man giggle more before his eyes fell on Rex and Pyra, "Oh my, never seen anything like you around."
"What?" Rex sounded out, "What do you mean by that!?" the salvager all but demanded.
"Never mind that," the man said, getting back on track, "I only matter, to you." the guy pointed at Ruby, causing everyone to turn to her briefly.
"…Me?" Ruby sounded confused. This caused the man to have a blanched look before bursting into laughter.
"What's so funny?" Roze demanded as he moved closer to Ruby.
"You two haven't the slightest clue, do you!?" the man asked before giggling, "How exciting this must be for you."
"What do you want?" Ruby then demanded with a glare.
"Oh, the rose has thorns," The man said with faux surprise," Why my little flower, I'm here to whisk you away."
"What if she doesn't want to go," Roze asked getting fully in front of his Driver. As did everyone else.
The man gave them all a pout, "Then I will take her."
"We won't let you," Jaune said getting ready for anything.
The man let out a small sigh, before grinning, "Good." and then he dashed in again. Before anyone could react, the madman was behind Jaune, ready to strike with his wristblades.
"Jaune!" Ren shouted before opening fire with Stormflowers. Jaune angled his shield in a way that made the bullets ricochet towards the crazy guy who brought the armored wristbands the blades were attached to in front of him to block the bullets.
Nora, Electra and Roc tried to blindside to attack the man in unison, but he simply got on his hands and double kicked the electric duo away, before bouncing at Roc with a double kick, but the avian Blade still got a hit into the man's stomach which was blocked by his aura.
As the man landed back on his feet, he turned a sadistic grin at Rex who was dashing at him with the Aegis Sword at the ready. "Double Spinning Edge!" Unfortunately, the crazy guy blocked the first swing before kicking Rex in the stomach, interrupting his attack.
"Aww, you named it," Tyrian mocked as he tried to strike at the downed Rex, but the Driver of the Aegis rolled out of the way before using Anchor Shot on Tyrian's wrist before pulling him in. Straight into a Rolling Smash. But the guy's aura held strong as he stumbled back. "Why, you little…" Was as far as the guy got before he had to raise his wrist Blades to block an attack from Ren. Kicking the black-haired boy away, the guy saw Nora and Electra hugging each other, which made the man snicker at the two's feeble effort to seek comfort. He had to ruin it.
As Tyrian dashed in, Ruby had a devious idea. She took aim with Crescent Rose before shooting electric dust at the guy, except it missed the man's head and straight to Nora who was still hugging Electra. This blasted the carrot top off her Blade.
"Nora!" Rex cried out in concern, while Pyra covered her mouth in shock.
"Well," The man said as he scratched his head at the friendly fire, "Ain't that ironic?" What he failed to notice was Nora getting back up as electricity coursed through her system. Both from Ruby's shot and whatever amount Electra had time to charge her with. Although the guy did feel like something was wrong.
The Remnans and their Blades were hiding smirks at what was about to happen next. And then it did, Nora dashed in to give a superpowered whack on the guy. The impact created a shockwave that very few people, no, beings could match.
But to everyone's shock, the guy blocked Nora's hammer by its head with a scorpion tail that came out from beneath his trench coat. Although it seemed like he was putting in significant effort. "Surprise." the man giggled before swatting the hammer aside and kicking Nora's head, sending her flying away.
"NORA!" Electra cried out.
Then the man jumped up on top of a building, ditching the trench coat and standing smugly on the roof.
"He's a faunus," Ren commented in surprise.
"You mean people with animal appendages?" Rex questioned.
"Yeah," Jaune confirmed.
"What is this about!?" Ruby cried out, "The White Fang? Roman Torchwick? Cinder!?" That last one Ruby cried out louder because that felt to be the most likely one.
"Plastic soldiers, pawns and…," The man paused, seeming to ponder on Cinder, "Useless bitches. My heart and body belong only to our goddess!" At the last part the man lifted his arms into the air in a show of reverence.
This made everyone confused, especially Ruby and Roze.
"Who is this goddess?" Roze asked with a glare.
"Hmph, your Driver will soon find out," the man said with a grin before dashing in again.
This time, going straight for Roze who spun his scythe to block the wrist Blades, but he was hit by something sharp in the side.
"Roze!" Ruby cried out at the stinger of the crazed faunus hitting Roze to the side. But she didn't have time to worry about her Blade, as she was then punched in the face, sending her flying.
The man cackled before standing on his hands and kicked Joana and Ren away before dashing to where Ruby would land.
"Tech Blaster!" Penny called out before firing her Art.
The man giggled as he moved to avoid the shots, but then he looked shocked to see that the ether shots were following him. Letting out a "tch" the scorpion faunus ran to the buildings to hopefully have the shots stop on walls as he weaved around buildings, only to realize that the walls weren't built to withstand against a Driver Art, at all. So, in a last-ditch effort, the faunus brought his arms up to block the attack.
As this happened, Ruby was getting up from the floor.
"Ruby, are you okay?!" Roze called out as he held his side. The wound had already closed but it still felt painful for some reason.
"I'm okay," Ruby called out as she was getting up, "But where did that guy go?" Ruby then asked as she looked around frantically between the buildings their opponent disappeared to. Aside from the debris caused by Penny's attack, they were unable to see where the guy ran off to.
"You think Penny got her?" Nora asked as she wanted vengeance on the guy.
"Doubt it," Roc said as he held his Dual Scythes at the ready.
And then the guy burst out of a tiny alley behind Ruby who didn't even realize the approaching threat.
"RUBY!" But Roze did, aiming his gun barrel on the faunus who's tail was poised to strike at Ruby.
But before the reaper Blade could even think about firing, something came between Ruby and the approaching stinger.
Ruby quickly turned around to come face to face with Qrow who had his weapon positioned on his back in a way that blocked the stinger.
"Hey," Qrow greeted with a smile to his niece. Ruby smiled back.
AN: I'll be honest. I had... difficulties writing the fight with Tyrian. On one hand Team JNPRR have Blades on their side now and the Driver of the Aegis. On the other hand, Tyrian is very nimble so there are about thousand ways this could go with. I hope I did a good job.
Next what I consider myself proud of. Jacques' Blade calling Ironwood out on his failure. I had half a mind to have Ironwood pull the trigger, but decided that the general was still sane enough to remember that shooting the Blade is useless, not to mention he would prove the Blade right about his accusations. By the way, can anyone guess who the Jacques' Blade is at least based off of now? Cookies to anyone who figures it out before the eventual reveal.
