In short Angus felt sick.

Even sicker when he looked at the time, the clock on his wall declared to Angus that he should have been on his way at least five minutes ago. What little time he'd made back up for by being sent home early, time has somehow slipped away in his tantrum. He'd been crying a lot longer than he thought. It was getting dark out now outside. The barbeque at Chesney's would be getting fired up. Quite literally, Merle always made sure to get it lit an hour before, under the twin's orders. Well, when Merle remembered.

Angus normally went with a quick rift from The Taako-Bluejean house. They'll be wondering where he is. Even if he leaves now, he'd be late. Not that they'd mind, really. If he called ahead, they'd even come pick him up. He should phone them, could even pick them up from here.

Shit. They might come and get him anyway, thinking he's late. Or depending on what Taako's told them. If he's told them.

He could always call them to go on ahead, and he could always call a cannon ride from the moon? Providing Avi was on duty and if he was not already on his own way. Or possibly even make his own transfer circle. Angus is pretty sure he could do that. He's never done one unsupervised though, even though he is very good at them.

But then again… Angus is not sure he wanted to face anyone. Let alone Taako.

His stomach turns at the thought of it. Worse, at the thought they were all laughing about Taako's antics. Or not going to take Angus' reaction seriously. Not even the promise of one of Killian's hugs is enough to chase away that worry.

Angus makes up his mind. And not leaving his bed, reached over and pulled his bag to him.

There are a few messages and missed calls on his stone. (He's had to change his frequency since the Mavis incident). Lup, Flo, Twinkle, Doctor Miller and unknown number. But Angus ignored them. Especially Twinkle's.

Instead, he gave Barry, Avi and then to Mookie a very brief quick call each. Just to say that he wouldn't be there tonight. Angus calls Barry because he didn't want to speak to Taako, Lup or Kravitz. Angus calls Avi because he didn't want to explain to Magnus or Lucretia or Team Sweet Flips. Angus calls Mookie because Merle never had his stone on.

Angus is Blunt at them, to the point and not allowing any questions, hanging up quick on all of them one after another. Then flipped his stone to silent.

Angus spent a few minutes putting an anti-transport seal around his room and a silence bubble. Then washed his face again, changed into some more casual fancy clothes and tried to relax. But he still felt angry. And upset.

And, dehydrated. And he remembers the paper cup of camomile and lavender tea, sitting where he left it when he came in. It was too cool to drink now but it smelt very good to ditch. So rather than tipping it down the basin, he tipped it into his favourite mug and reheated it with a warming charm. Similar to the one he used at the shop to boil and steam the milk, but less intense. The tea was even blessed with calm thoughts by Mrs Cosie. Angus found it very soothing. He'd have to thank her. Once he's finished apologising to her.

Having burnt a good two thirds of his spell slots, angus threw himself into his studying for a couple of hours; trying to forget about the whole rubbish day. He still had exams coming up after all.

His stone and his far-book went untouched, even though both steadily glowed red hot with more and more missed calls, voice mails and messages. In fact, Angus was surprised no one had shown up knocking on his door. Or appeared in his room to drag him there. Spell or no spell.

Turned out they didn't need to.
