The kiss grew passionate as JJ picked up Jayne and carried her up the stairs to his room. He locked the door as he kept his lips entangled with hers.

Jayne couldn't help but love this herself. She missed the connection they shared. She unbuttoned his shirt, trying to make sure he knew she wanted more, wanted him.

JJ was pleasantly surprised as he moved her onto the bed, laying on top of her. He looked into her eyes, searching for an okay.

Jayne had always loved this about him. While they were passionate, he was very sweet and gentle. She wanted to make sure he was up to this. "We don't have to do this, JJ. I can just hold you." She stroked his cheek gently.

"I don't want to waste a moment. I'm in love with you, I thought I had gotten past those feelings, but I am more in love with you now than I was before." JJ wanted to live his life not wasting a moment.

"I've never felt about any man the way I feel about you. I know I had feelings for someone else recently, but when you came back, I realized it could never compare. I still have to work through those, though. So if you want to wait..." Jayne started, wanting more than anything to not hurt him.

JJ didn't let her finish. His lips covered hers. The two of them quickly shedding their clothes. JJ looked at Jayne. She was even more gorgeous now.

Jayne could see him devouring her with his eyes. She pulled him on top of her and kissed him, the two getting completely lost in each other. Spending most of the night making love and holding each other. When sleep became inevitable, they both fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning, they heard a knock on the door.

"Huh? Who is it?" JJ kissed Jayne's head before getting up to throw on his pants.

"It's me, Joey. Do you know where Jayne is? I thought we would have breakfast." Rose spoke through the door.

"She's in here. We will be down in a minute, gran." JJ knew that Rose would draw her own conclusions, but his grandma wouldn't make things awkward.

JJ went back over to give Jayne a kiss.

"Don't start that." Jayne gave a smile.

The two got ready and went downstairs.

"I made the arrangements. Your parents called to check on us, Jayne. I made sure to tell him how incredible you are." Rose squeezed Jayne's hand.

"I'm still learning to lean on my family more thanks to them. You two are very important to me." Jayne told Rose before looking over at JJ.

JJ felt this incredible hole in his heart. He knew he always would, but these two women were incredible. He was lucky. "I think it goes without saying how important you both are to me."

Rose could really tell the change in their relationship but wasn't about to put them on the spot. The three of them sat down to breakfast and then made plans to go home.

Kelly's

Holly stood looking at a picture of Joe Kelly, remembering how he was going to give up an important job just so he could help her, his friend. Tears filled her eyes.

Robert walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her. "I got you, baby." Robert felt this loss too, Joe was a good friend, and they had still occasionally crossed paths over the years.
