Chapter 11 – Truth or Dare

"Truth or dare!" Fred declared as we arrived. Others heard his words boom through the common room and gathered around him to participate. The group was rather large, with her, the twins, Cedric, Harry, Hermione, Lee, some of Harry's friends, Dean and Seamus, I think. Then there was Angelina with one of her friends, who glared at me when they sat across from me and George. Cho arrived too and planted herself next to Cedric. The last one to join was that guy Cormac, who send me a wink as he lowered himself to the ground, making me almost gag.

"Who's first?" Angelina asked, tearing her glare away from me.

"The birthday girl can start." Fred announced to the dismay of Angelina.

"Okay." I pursed my lips as I looked around the group.

"Oh, before you choose your victim." Fred grinned and pulled out two bottles out of his pockets. "If you choose truth you need to drink veritaserum." He wiggled the smaller bottle in front of everyone. "And if you refuse, you need to do two shots." He shook the other bottle, placing them in the middle of the circle.

"Interesting." I said slowly, picking up the smaller bottle. "How did you get this?" I turned to Fred, who shrugged innocently, not answering my question. "Okay, Fred. Truth or dare?"

"Truth, so everyone can see it's just veritaserum and it won't turn you into a big yellow bird or something." He laughed and picked the small bottle out of her hand and let one single drop fall on his tongue. Everyone looked at him, waiting to see if anything will happen, but it didn't, just like he said.

"I've been wondering this since third year... Is it true that snogged that Slytherin girl, Olga in the broom closet?"

Fred tried to hold his mouth shut but it couldn't be stopped, the veritaserum did its work. "Yes!" He blurted out. "Yes, I snogged Olga at the end of our third year!" He buried his head in his hands.

George started to laugh loudly while the rest looked put out about the idea of Fred snogging with Olga, the broad, tall, muscley girl. "How in the world did you know that?" George asked clutching his side.

"I heard Olga boosting about it to her friends, but I never believed it." I laughed with George, swiping the tears away that escaped. "Even her friends didn't believe her." Now that the others recovered from the shock everyone started laughing with them, even Fred joined in eventually.

"Alright my turn." Fred rubbed his hands devilishly. "Lee, truth or dare?"

Lee huffed and puffed his chest. "Dare, duh!"

"Brilliant. George and I invented a new treat, but we are not sure what it does." Fred picked a dark purple treat out of his pocket.

"You can't just give him something you-" Hermione was interrupted when Lee leaned over and popped the candy in his mouth. The first moment nothing happened and then Lee's nose started to change into a pig snout, oinking loudly. Fred and George watched in interest until the pig snout disappeared and George took out a notebook to write some notes down. I leaned over to look at the notes. George closed the book quickly and shot me a grin.

"A bit noisy, aren't you?"

I bit my lip as I looked up to him innocently before I turned too Lee. "You make a great piggy, Lee."

"Why thank you." He bowed his head.

The game got more daring as the drinks flowed. Harry sat in the circle in only his boxers and socks, his cheeks still red from the dare. Seamus declared that his first kiss was with a guy last summer. Cedric was dared to give the person on his right a foot massage, which happened to be Angelina's friend, Alicia. Hermione had to do two shots when she didn't dare to kiss anyone in the room. She was now humming a song, swaying from left to right from her buzz. Cormac had confessed he loved wearing his mum's heels. I was happy to be seemingly left forgotten, that was until George did his dare. He just came back down wearing a blue/pink flower dress, he twirled in front of everyone before he sat back down next to me.

"Pink isn't really your colour." I chuckled as I pulled his sleeve.

George clutched his heart as he looked at me shocked. "Whatever do you mean? I look absolutely dashing. Besides it's my turn to choose." He licked his lips as he locked his eyes with mine.

"Oh no." I groaned as I feared the worse.

"Oh yes." George's grin went even bigger. "Truth or dare, Guinevere?"

"Truth." My eyes crossed with Lee and Cedric, who grinned back at her before I turned to look at George. I accepted the bottle from Dean and let a drop fall on my tongue.

"How did you and Charlie became friends?"

"Hmm, I wish I could tell you." I smirked at him, and Lee and Cedric laughed as they leaned against each other.

"What? No, you have to tell the truth!" George looked to Fred and then to Dean. "Did you give her veritaserum?

"Of course." Dean said, eyes wide.

"You can pour the full vial down my throat, but it won't work." I gave him the bottle to inspect. "You've heard what the others told us, it isn't the potion."

"How then?" Fred asked curiously as George just sat there with his mouth open.

"I was taught to resist it when I was younger, because of my parents' work."

"Well, that's not fair." George pouted.

"Okay, you can ask me another question then."

"But I won't know if you are telling the truth."

I couldn't help my grin as I look up at him and he just sighed in defeat. "Fine, who is the sexiest person in the room?"

"In the room?" I asked as I looked around the Gryffindor common room. "I'll have to go with... Luke."

"Luke?" The boys asked surprised, all looking at the seventh year Ravenclaw. While all the girls nodded in agreement, looking at the boy in question himself. While the others looked at the tall Ravenclaw and whirlwind was going around in my head, the thoughts of Cedric and George filled my head. When the others finally looked back, I came out of my daze.

"My turn." I looked over the crowd. "Angelina, truth or dare?"

"Truth." She answered quickly and I handed over the bottle.

"Why didn't you tell Hermione about the spell for her hair?" I asked when she swallowed the veritaserum. I saw in her eyes that she wanted to fight the question but was unable to.

"Because it's fucking hilarious when she gets teased about her hair!" She laughed. The others all gasped at her confession before she clasped her hands over her mouth. I knew it! I thought to myself, that little bi-

"That is a bitch move, Ange." Fred glared at her.

"It was just some fun." Angelina tried to defend herself. "Don't go all mopey about it." She rolled her eyes. I saw Hermione shoot daggers at Angelina, but she didn't dare to look at the girl she hurt. "My turn, Cormac?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to kiss Northon!" Angelina smiled devilishly. I knew she would retaliate, even if I hadn't asked her that question.

"My pleasure." Cormac crawled closer on his hands and knees. George and Cedric tensed and glared form Angelina to Cormac, who was still getting closer to me.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea." Fred interrupted.

"A dare is a dare, Weasley." Angelina sneered.

I felt nauseous when Cormac stopped in front of me, then an idea occurred to me. I let large green boils cover my face as he cupped my cheeks. He stumbled quickly and fell on his arse.

"I'm not kissing... that!" He nearly shouted as he jumped on his feet. "I'm done." He nearly ran out of the common room and up the stairs. I turned my face back to normal and saw them all looking at me.

"What?" I asked, leaning back on the couch, feeling victorious.

"That was-" Fred started.

"Absolutely brilliant!" George continued.

"I wasn't going to let that slimy git kiss me." I said with a shudder. Everyone started to laugh except for Angelina and Cho, who glared at me.

"Who's turn is it? Now that Cormac is gone?" Seamus asked.

"Maybe we should call it quits." Cedric said already standing up. I followed his motion and walked up next to him.

"I agree. I'm going to get something to drink." And walked to the bar.

The common room was starting to file out as the hour grew late. Cedric and I poured us some fire whiskey and leaned against the bar, looking at the others. "Between Cho and Angelina, I'm glad I'm still alive at this point."

Cedric let out a dry chuckle as he sipped his glass. No one at that point of the night was sober. Either you were drunk or at least slightly tipsy, Cedric fell in the first group as he swayed on his legs.

"Maybe we should head back." I asked, keeping him steady. "I don't want to carry you all the way to your room."

"No, you should enjoy the party." He slurred over his words. He saw Odin and Lyra getting ready to leave. "I just follow those two back." He gestured widely to their direction.

"Are you sure?" I asked with furrowed brows as I helped him to the portrait hole. Odin and Lyra already had walked out the common room and they stood in a corner where no one could see them.

"Yeah, enjoy your birthday. You've been studying so much the past weeks, and school only just started." He hugged me clumsy. "I'm so in love with you." He pulled back and kissed me until I was breathless. Then he stumbled out of the portrait, yelling for Odin and Lyra as he went to catch up with them. I stood there rooted to the ground as I looked at the wall in front of me, completely dazed as my heart stammered in my chest. I looked at the back of the portrait, which was already closed, trying to catch my breath. It was when somebody passed me that I came out of it. I didn't notice it was Cho who passed me as I walked back to the others. I dropped down between Fred and George.

"Are you okay?" George asked worried. My head snapped up to look at him, my brains still trying to comprehend on what happened a minute ago.

"Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine." I looked around. "Where are Harry and Hermione?"

"Harry dragged Ron up to the dormitory and Hermione went to bed." Fred said leaning back against the couch. Before she had a chance to reply Angelina sat down on the other side of George, leaning in close.

"Hey, Georgie." Her breath reeked of alcohol that reached me and Fred and we leaned back, my back resting against Fred. "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me upstairs."

Fred rolled his eyes at me at Angelina's feeble attempt and held back a snicker. Then Angelina lunged out and kissed him roughly. After George recovered from the shock, he hastily pulled away.

"Angelina, no." George's voice stern. Angelina looked put out, like she never expected him to say no to her.

"You wait, George Weasley!" She threatened before she stormed up the stairs.

"Wait for what?" I whispered to Fred. "What will she do?"

"I don't know." Fred frowned. "Better keep an eye on her."

George turned back to us before a large grin appeared on his face. "We've got you a present."

"A present? You didn't have to."

"We know." The twins said in unison. The both of them pulled out two small packages out of their jeans and placed it on my lap. I looked from one to the other before I opened the first one.

The first one was a set of exploding snap but all with the twins faces on it, just in different hairstyles or clothes. "Just what I wished for." I grinned at the boys.

"Oh, we know." Fred laughed. "Now the next one."

"Alright, alright, don't get your knickers in a twist." I chuckled as I turned to the next package. It was full of the famous Weasley treats, some new, some old.

"There's a list taped on the top, so you know what's what." George pointed at the small list.

"Thanks, maybe I can use one to get out of Alchemy." I teased.

"Hmm, I don't think so. You love going to class with me."

"I endure it." I corrected with a grin. "So, a game of exploding Weasley then?"

"Get ready to lose, Northon." Fred cackled as he placed the cards on the table.

"You wish, Weasley."

We played games and drank a bit more until the three of us were the only ones left in the common room. My eyes started to fall shut as the twins talked about one of their pranks. My head lolled to the side, resting on George's shoulder. I heard them whisper to each other.

"Should we take her to the Hufflepuff common room?" Fred asked.

"We've never been in there. It's somewhere around the kitchens but... And she won't be able to tell us how to get in at this point." My head bounced a bit on George's shoulder as he laughed. "Maybe we can ask if she can crash with Hermione or Ginny?"

"We can't go up the stairs ourselves and even then, those two will have our heads if we wake them up this late."

"Only one thing left then." George's voice said. I felt my head being put on the back of the couch before two strong arms pulled me off it. My head rested on his chest as he carried me up the stairs. I heard the footsteps of his twin follow us.

When we entered the room, George slowly lowered me to a bed. "George?" I whispered, barely able to open my eyes.

"Go back to sleep, Guinevere." He whispered. "I'll just transfigure your clothes to something more comfortable."

I felt my clothes change with the trace of magic and saw that my yellow skirt had been transfigured in a soft pyjama bottom before my eyes fell shut again.

"Where are you going to sleep?" Fred whispered, loudly. "Oh no you don't. You're not going to sleep with me." And that was the last I heard as I succumbed to sleep.
