I wasn't sure what to call this chapter, so that's why it's just called Chapter 126.

"No, it's after hours!" said Demelza, grabbing on to Hermione's shirt. "Let's do it tomorrow, she'll be in the Ravenclaw common room now anyway"

"Oh please, it's so easy! All you need to do is solve a riddle!" Hermione replied, "but I suppose you are right. I was getting ahead of myself there"

I opened my mouth to object, but Demelza cut me off

"Outvoted" she said "Right, Hermione?"

"Right" Hermione said firmly.

"Where did the sense of fun and adventure go, honestly?" I said "continuing to follow Karkaroff around like Amy is too far I agree, but a night time visit to the Ravenclaw common room? That's nothing, come on guys!"

At that moment, Harry walked through the portrait hole and up to us.

"How was it?" Hermione asked, presumably referring to the weighing of the wands.

"It was more ceremonial than anything else, all they did was put each of our wands on a scale, then take photos of us. But before any of that though, Rita Skeeter interviewed me"

"Why did you let her Harry, she's horrible!" I exclaimed "she'll probably have an article about you full of lies in the Prophet tomorrow!"

"I should have known better. She has this self writing Quill thing that makes up stuff as it writes by itself. It was saying things like me crying when she asked how my parents would feel about me competing!"

"How could you possibly know that?"

"Yeah, honestly I can't believe I was stupid enough to give her a chance. Anyway, I'm going up to the dormitory..."

He walked upstairs, but within a couple minutes he was running back downstairs

"Ginny, Hermione, look at this" he said, beckoning us over. Demelza made to follow, but Harry shook his head.

"No Demelza, this only concerns the three of us. It's... something we've been working on together"

"Right" said Demelza slowly, not at all convinced.

"Look, we have a right to privacy mate" I told her

"Whatever" she replied, rolling her eyes.

Harry showed us the letter from Sirius.

Harry — I can't say everything I would like to in a letter, it's too risky in case the owl is intercepted — we need to talk face-to-face. Can you ensure that you are alone by the fire in Gryffindor Tower at one o'clock in the morning on the 22nd of November? I know better than anyone that you can look after yourself and while you're around Dumbledore and Moody I don't think anyone will be able to hurt you. However, someone seems to be having a good try. Entering you in that tournament would have been very risky, especially right under Dumbledore's nose. Be on the watch, Harry. I still want to hear about anything unusual. Let me know about the 22nd of November as quickly as you can.

Sirius

"We should go upstairs to discuss this" Harry said, "we'll have to just ignore Ron, he's still being a dickhead"

So we did, though fortunately Ron wasn't currently a problem, as the curtains were closed around his bed. He was clearly still awake though, as we could see his wandlight.

"First of all, why is he signing his name if he thinks the owl could be intercepted?" I asked

"That's a good point" said Hermione

"Yeah, I'll suggest that in my reply" Harry said

"I assume he means a floo call, by asking you to be alone at 1am by the fireplace" Hermione said

"He better mean that, there's no way I'm agreeing to him breaking into Hogwarts again!" Harry said

Ron suddenly tore open his bed curtains

"You're not talking about Sirius are you?" he asked

"Ron, unless it's to admit I didn't put my name in the Goblet, I'm not interested in anything you have to say" Harry told him.

Ron scowled and slammed his curtains shut again.

"You know, it would be so much easier for everyone if you'd just man up and do what he says!" I called to Ron, but he ignored this.

"Prat" Harry said. "Anyway, right, it'll be good to talk to Sirius, I'm gonna reply and say I can do it. The only problem will be making sure I am alone in the common room at the time he specified"

"At 1am you should be alright, but if not, we'll help you out don't worry" I said

At breakfast the next morning, Demelza, Hermione and I found Matilda and asked her for a private word in an empty classroom. She obliged.

"What's all this about then?" she asked, sitting on a desk.

"Well, it's about, what you are, there's no other way of putting it" I said

"What I am?" she replied, raising an eyebrow quizzically. "I'm a 12 year old Muggle born witch, a first year Ravenclaw, soon to be second"

"Ah, now see, you're wrong there" said Demelza

"Umm... in what way?" Matilda replied

"You're not a witch" Hermione said "Hermione Granger by the way, I'm sorry for not introducing myself" She held out her fist, but Matilda didn't move. She narrowed her eyes.

"What do you mean I'm not a witch, I don't understand" she said in a suspicious tone. Hermione dropped her fist, blushing in embarrassment.

"Let's just get to the point" she said quickly, and opened the book we'd looked at the previous night. "There's many different types of blood strains in the wizarding world, you know. It's not just pure bloods, half bloods, and Muggle borns. You are a superblood."

Matilda read the page and her eyes widened in excitement. "People like me only come around every 200 years, and I'm very powerful? This is amazing!" she said

"Surely you had to know you weren't a normal witch" I said "I mean, no other five year old could do what you did"

"I just thought it was something every witch could do"

"Surely if we could, we'd have had teachers like Snape out of here by now"

"Fair point! Well, I'm certainly delighted by this, thanks for letting me know guys!" She jumped off the desk.

"Hold up!" Demelza said "We should go to McGonagall and Flitwick first, just to make sure we're right!"

"Come on D, we know we're right, how could we possibly not be, everything points to it!" I said

"Well, we need it 100 percent confirmed, plus they may be able to tell us more about how this affects all of us"

"Fair enough"

Before we left the classroom though, Hermione stopped Matilda and said "Hey, I just wanted to let you know it's an amazing honour to meet you, you were one of my heroes and my favourite fictional character by far growing up"

"Thank you" Matilda said, and now she did fistbump Hermione. "Though obviously I'm not fictional"

Hermione laughed "Yeah, and boy am I glad about that!"
